The battery cables and wiring go through a firewall that is metal.the hole in the firewall does not contain any type of gasket or protective material and as a result the cables and wiring rub along the metal hole in the firewall.the cables and wires rub on the metal and cut through the protective coating on the cables and wires thus exposing them to contact the metal and causing a short, arc and fire.the heat then compromises all the other cables resulting in them also losing their protective coatings and fire results.over 38 cables and wires have been destroyed and we have lost all electrical components to the rv.while driving the vehicle on may 27, 2016 it shifted out of drive on its own causing an immediate slow down in addition to the fire hazard.there was a fire in battery compartment and underneath motor home where the cables and wires ran through the metal fire wall.
