I received a "fleetwood owners recall #90209 from fleetwood, pob 1007, decatur, indiana.i called today at 800-509-3418 to obtain approval for repair at a facility.i was informed by neil at that phone that "due to the fleetwood bankruptcy the new owners will not honor any safety recalls and i highly suggest you obtain and pay for this service yourself."according to the bankruptcy fleetwood was to honor warranty work, i have to assume that improper manufacturing procedures are indeed warranty work.
The contact owns a 2008 fleetwood discovery. The contact stated that while parked, he noticed a burning smell and saw smoke coming from the electrical dimmer switch. There the contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 11v192000 (electrical system) but was advised by the manufacturer that the 2008 model was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 6,200.
