We were travelling on the i44 east ofst.louis, on 04/14/16 when the first tire on the drivers side rear inside tire blew out, the tread had peeled off the tire and tore out the wiring in the wheel well for the 120 vac and the 12 vdc and damaged 2 compartments and about 5 feet of the tailpipe was crushed.the second tire on the passenger side inside back,(04/16/16), also on the rear inside,blew out while we were travelling on the i70 7 miles from the i270 turnoff west of cincinatti ohio. The tread had also peeled off thetireand also damaged the 2 compartments nearest the tire were heavily damaged and the wiring was also torn out. The appraised value of the damage was $11,000.the tire pressures were checked in both instances and were at an acceptable range ,well below the 100 psi range.

The contact owns a 2005 fleetwood bounder. While driving long distances at lower speeds, the abs warning indicator illuminated. There was an abnormal burning smell as the front driver side brake seized. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the front driver side brake calipers, seal, brake pads, and hoses failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was previously repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 09v198000 (service brake, air). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
The air lines on my motorhome were improperly installed causing them to rub together in transit.eventually a hole wore in one of the air lines causing my brakes to totally fail.please note freighliner llc is the manufacturer of the chassis.they refused to pay for the repair.also, please note that the model is expedition.i noted bounder since it is the model closest to mine.
The contact owns a 2005 fleetwood bounder rv. The contactstated was driving at approximately 50 mph, when he depressed the brakes in an attempt to turn but the brakes would not respond. The contact utilized the emergency brakes and pumped the brake pedal until the vehicle came to a stop. The manufacturer advised the contact to allow the brakes to cool before proceeding. Once the brakes were cool, the contact drove to an authorized dealer. The mechanic advised the failure was associated with nhtsa campaign id number: 09v198000 (service brakes, air) however the parts needed for the repair were not available. The manufacturer advised that the parts were still in production. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The current and failure mileages were approximately 7,000.
Bad brake noise in front wheels. Brakes smoke after very short trips downhill. Had dealer pull all wheels said things looked fine. On the way home,lost some pedal,but came back. Smoked brakes again. Let cool for 2 hrs and eased on home. Need to pull wheels again and check. Want to cross the country in nov. And now don't know what to do. Workhorse said they can't fix anything until it frays.
This is our second complaint on this problem first one was early october 2009 and the odi id# is 10287151 for the first complaint.we had total brake failure on our fleetwood bounder yesterday 11/29/09that has a break recall on it and workhorse chasis refuses to fix.the brakes failed, brake pedal went to the floor, alarm sounded, abs light came on and also light stating "brake failure,.fortunately we were not going very fast and there was an area we could pull over after gearing down.we called workhorse chasis this morning and was told to "drive carefully" to your dealer and we are now at the dealer and we are being told that workhorse is refusing to pay for our brakes unless they are completely "burned up".this is the second attempt to get workhorse and the dealer to honor this recall last time we had to pay to have the brakes inspected which was early october 2009.

Dt*:the contact stated while turning the vehicle to be parked, there was a popping noise heard coming from under the floor of the vehicle on the front left.this noise was accompanied by a slight vibration in the steering column.the vehicle was taken to a service dealer where they repaired the tie rod bushing and repaired the wheel bearing on the left front wheel.updated 10/18/2006 -

Cooling unit in the norcold 1200lrim failed spewing ammonia.i had the unit replaced by an rv service shop. I was not advised it was on the recall list and was charged for the replacement..unit was parked.
Drivers and passenger side windows fogged as well as window behind passenger and one over sink. Slowly i believe they will all fail. I mademike thompson rv aware of the problem on three different occasions, every time saying it is not covered under warranty. I am now out of warranty with no options but to replace at my own cost.

The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, the windows on the driver side and passenger side became foggy and he could not see. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was contacted. The contact stated that five windows on the driver side, including the front driver window were defective and remained foggy, making it very difficult to see the roadway. The manufacturer was not contacted in regards to the failure. The drivers window was replaced. The failure mileage was 30,000 and the current mileage was 42,000.
The contact owns a 2005 fleetwood bounder. The vehicle was parked when the contact noticed that the front and passenger side windows were foggy which made it difficult to see the rear view mirrors. While cleaning the windows, the contact noticed that the fog was developing inside the windows so he was unable to clean it. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The contact stated that the lamination between the double panel glass on both front side windows became very cloudy, making it difficult to see out of the windows. Due to the failure the contact could not use the rear view mirrors. The vehicle failure was not diagnosed orrepaired. The failure mileage was 15,000 and the current mileage was 24,000.updated 02/02/11
Driver side thermal pane window and passenger side thermal pane window seals have failed resulting in fog between the window panes.with no way to clear these windows, critical rear/side vision is diminished since side view mirrors must be viewed through these fogged panes.this ongoing problem of diminished rear and side vision due to these failed thermal seals is a serious safety issue and may result in a crash.
