We recently purchased a fiat 124 spider from carmax new haven ct-they said that there safety recall site was down but assured us the car had no safety recalls believing them so we went threw with the deal.first thing was a red light on the control panel the sales person said it was the key fob battery being low on charge and they were dying that's what was causing the issue and they didn't have that battery and go purchase it our selves we did and replaced the batteries well that wasn't it.i called fiat directly the person asked for the vin i provided this and he said the car has a safety recall v20 which is a major safety issue and the vehicle should not have been sold,we were lied to over and over about safety recalls on our new car. I realize that this is not consumer protection i'll be contacting them also my complaint is how in the world can they sell a vehicle with a safety recall that could cause a crash. Now we have to bring the car back so they can fix the issue.
