Just received a recall letter for my 2011 fusion passenger takata airbag stating."a ruptured inflator may result in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death". I called the dealership & they informed me that the parts to fix or replace would not be available for several months but you can still drive the vehicle. ?????i take care of my elderly parents i transport my 90 yr old mother to from from the hospital er doc visits.she recently had a few falls broke her hip, wrist, nose etc. I can not put them in a vehicle knowing this can happen. Why would you send a letter out before you can do anything about it?what about rental cars provided by ford?
