Not sure when it happened but when i went to sell my toy hauler that is in perfect condition and never had any toys in it. A potential customer came to check it out and pointed out the cracks in the frame right above the shackles on both sides.
The below information is regarding my 2014 attitude 23fb with a manufacturer defect while i was driving. We were driving home from our family trip traversing on a 2 way road along a cliff and the left rear 2nd axle tire blew out. We barely were able to pull off the road. I put out our warning devices and also had my wife try to slow and divert traffic to the next lane. I purchased 4 new tires for my rv on march,20 2021 and in total they only have 210 miles on them at the time of the incident. When i got home i performed an examination of the trailer to figure out what went wrong. I found that the tire rubbed so hard against the trailer that the tire blew out. Now there is damage to the inner fender wheel and interior of the trailer. Upon inspecting the suspension, i found multiple cracks, poor structural support, welds that have no penetration, suspension hangers, and frame twisting. Although i am extremely thankful neither myself nor my family were hurt in this incident i do still feel this is truly gross negligence and this needs to be repaired immediately. I am more than willing to cooperate with eclipse and/or lippert to make arrangements for the repairs and have the rv towed there since the rv is unfit dot compliance.
I have a crack 6"-8" horizontally on the i-beam directly over the axles. I'm unsure when it happened. I read about others with the same problem. That's when i decided to check mine. I've left messages with the manufacturer and haven't received a reply. This seems like a safety issue and i'm wondering if a recall has or will be issued.
The contact owns a 2014 stellar 27dbl (na) travel trailer. While driving 45 mph, the contact was alerted by another motorist that here was an issue with the trailer. The contact parked on the side of the road and noticed that the rear frame had a nine foot crack, the axle was pushed out to the left, and the rear tires were turned to the left. The contact was escorted to anindependent mechanic where the failure was confirmed. The independent mechanic contacted the manufacturer and was provided a blueprint to weld the frame together. Several months after the repair, while driving over a bump in the road, the contact heard an abnormal noise. The contact pulled over and noticed that the front trailer frame was cracked. The manufacturer was contacted and sent a welder to repair the trailer. The welder stated that the frame and chassis were welded; however, the fiberglass and inner fender well still needed to be repaired. The contact mentioned that the manufacturer and curtis trailers (located at 10177 se powell blvd, portland, or 97266, (503) 760-1363) were contacted to complete the fiberglass and inner fender well repairs. The contact was informed that he would be responsible for any additional payment. The vin was unknown.consumer stated here is an e-mail string pertaining to my complaint # 11267716 regarding my stellar toy hauler built by eclipse rv in california that used an lci (lippert components) chassis that failed twice.
