The transmission couldn't not be rebuilt.it had a crack in the housing.it cost me $2275.00 to have replaced.it has been failing for about a year.it would at times violently jerk the passengers forward when trying to shift upwards and was undependable in case fast accelleration was needed. It finally quit shifting up to 4th gear.the fuses tend to overheat for some unknown reason which has caused the windows not to work and some of the the interior instrument lights not to work.the brakes keep having problems.i can't get them fixed to my satisfaction.i didn't list them as a problem because there have been too many trips to get the brakes fixed to list in the form.

While driving, at approximately 15mph, slowed down, suddenly noticed loss of steering capability due to motor mount failure and tie rod end failure.

Air conditioner condensor coil stopped working at 72600 miles. Consumer took vehicle to dealer,and dealer replaced it. Also,when using defroster the rugs get wet.

Nhtsa recall 98v184000 and manufacturer'srecall 790;while driving there was a strong odor of gasoline, had to refill tank every two days.when turning vehicle off, there is still a smell of gasoline, dealer and manufacturer contacted and this vehicle is not included in the recall.

Fuel injection delivery system is leaking fuel from some of the sealing "o"-rings,and the hair line in the thermostatfuel injection rail.

While traveling from minnesota to texas consumer learned that the trunk cargo light remained on and had burned several holes in a coat/ burned through a garment and a suit.light did not have a shield and it stayed on while trunk was closed. Delaer was not contacted at this time.
Told service dept. They should repair as someone could be hurt by hood falling on them.
Hood will not remain in the upright position, cause unknown. Please give any further details.
Abs sensor light and emergency brake light would come on intermittently while driving. Vehicle been in/out of dealer shop on three occasions, and at an independent repair shop on one occasion. But, problem still reoccurring.

Car would hesitate at a stop sign. It did not shift into gears properly. After starting the car and putting it into gear it would not move. We didn't report this problem to the dealer when it was first noticed. In june we called the dealer who wanted $60 just to look at it. Wetook it to cottman who told us it needed a new transmission. We notified chryslerthey covered all but $200 on the rebuilt transmission.their computer indicated that there was no problem found.shorthly after the transmition was replaced the car will not start at the first try, we have to change manuallythe gears and try again to start the car, once the car start running is ok until the engine is turned off, the next time we have to repeat the same procedures, in case of an emergency the car will no start inmediately.we have to let the car sit for a few minutes to repeat the same operation.
Since i had this car shifting is hard in it and shutters when going in to over drive. I have talk to alot of people and said theres done the same thing. I hope there is nothing wrong because it would cost me to much to have it fixed my husband bought me the car because i was sick and needed a good car to go to drive.

Warranty coverage.within two days, vehicle began leaking transmission fluid from near radiator.returned to repairing dealer service [kennedy chrysler - not o'brien chrysler dealership] and was informed that transmission cooling system lines were cracked and leaking and must be replaced.this service was not covered under ext. Warranty even though leak apparently was spawned by transmission repair [transmission was removed from vehicle to repair].dealer service informed me that they see many eagle visions with this problem, and it should probably be reported for a recall.

'recall campaign' received after 7 transmission have been installed in 1995 eagle vision.the dealer suggested that nothing was wrong with the shifting but something was wrong with the transmission.the vehicle continued to exhibit movement/non movement at times.the vehicle went into reverse with no occupants in the vehicle and the gear indicator remained in the park position. The consumer requested funds in the amount of the original cost of the vehicle. *scon one of the several occasions, the consumer was pinned between the car and the garage door when the vehicle went into reverse withno occupants in the vehicle and the gear indicator was still in park.

In the middle of heavy rush hour traffic, my drivers seat back fell back.i had to clutch the steering wheel to stay upright and traveled to another lane but luckily did not hit another vehicle.i have found reference on the internet to a recall for this specific problem on other 1995 eagle visions, but our dealer states that my car is not covered on this recall.

At46,500 miles, tie rod bushins were almost completely 'disintegrated'.i had popping noises bring it to my attention local midas shop repaired the problem.today i saw a news release on the auto.com web page so i thought it would be a good idea to post my problem.i have my receipt from the repair and will follow up with chrysler for reimbursement once chrysler is notified by nhtsa on the mandatory recall information.
The bushings and tie rods began to fail at 36000 miles. The dealer did not find a problem.now at 46000 miles this is considered a "wear item" not under warranty.this is too early for this type of failure.there are few warning signs.the end result is a loss of steering.

The failure is 2 bushings attaching the rack to the steering gear have broken and fallen out, leaving metal bolts to hit metal which will eventually break the bolts, causing the car to be unsteerable.dealer says the whole rack will have to be replaced because they can not get the bushings separate.
Bushings for rack/pinion were totally worn (destroyed).$140 repair done at local shop.chrysler technician said "we've had problems with these bushings".some uneven wear on tire noted from this defective part.
Dt:the consumer stated the bolts in rack and pinion steeringhad to be tightened constantly.this has been happening for two years. Vehicle was taken to the dealership, and they stated it was wear and tear.when the bolts became loose the wheellocked. Consumer continued to tighten the bolts, but it only lasted for no more than a week.

Consumer reeceived recall99v215000/ manfacturer's recall 837 for engine cradle.dealer keeps putting consumer off, scheduling other dates.parts or tools are broken. This has been going on for 1 1/2 months.dealer is nelso jeep located on us rt20 gary in.phone #219-938-8000.
