Original clutch failed shortly after the transfer case recall was performed. My wife was driving the car to work on the highway, when the clutch started to slip. She barely managed to get the car off the road before the clutch stopped functioning entirely. Further investigation reveals that talon/eclipses are known for premature clutch failures ( as low as 5000 miles ). Also, it seemed suspicious that the clutch would fail so soon after the transfer casehad failed. My extended warranty ( purchased from the dealer ) will not cover a simple worn-out part. The parts must be defective in some way, and they are categorizing my clutch failure as wear-out.

A bolt under the transmission fell out, causing driver to lose control of vehicle.possible cause is bolt not tightened during service.
