My motorcycle has a plastic gas tank which has begun to expand.the outside dimensions of the tank have increased and it now does not sit correctly in the frame, the handlebars hit it on turning, and it presses against the ignition switch. Previously it opened and closed without problems, now i have to wedge it against the ignition switch to close it.the rubber mounts no longer sit on the frame.
2006 ducati s2r800 "plastic" fuel tank starting to deform. Not retaining original shape. Concerns of possible rupture or leaks. Getting worse with age. Under warranty in 2008, a ducati shop examined the fuel tank and dismissed it as warrentable. Date below is approximate.

Spring sag in the front suspension causes a drop in steering angle as a result the bike becomes unstable at normal road speeds, very unstable in windy conditions. The sag in suspension is approx 50% of normal suspension travel.
