Vehicle stalls ftrquently when at idle, when slowing and/or stopping.
Vehicle: '06 ducati 749 superbike.purchased new.this past summer, with approx. 9,500 on this vehicle, the clutched slippedtwice; once when the temp. Was 115, once when it was 85.never happened before or since.but obviously, if the bike won't "go", i am very much at-risk for getting bumped into over run-over by other vehicles.ducati has saidthis is normal wear! (?).also, i recently took the bike in at 11,200 mi. To del amo motorsports in redondo beach, ca due to stalling at idle issues.though they had the vehicle for 3 weeks, i took it out y'day 2/10, and it stalled again.as with the clutch, this is definitely a safety issue, as at an intersection, i am very much at-risk from being hit from behind by a closely-following car, truck, or bus.
The fuel pump flange that holds the fuel pump into the tank on the 2006 ducati multistrada 620 dark has failed on 2 occasions. Each time has presented a large fire hazard. The first time the bike has parked unattended in our garage and we returned home to find the whole tank of fuel had drained onto the garage floor. The second occasion was even more worrysome because it started leaking fast while in route home from work . This coated the rear tire with gasoline which was spraying up onto the exhaust. This problem has been mentioned many times on web discussion forums. That shows evidence that the problem with my bike is not an isolated incident. I have been very lucky and cannot trust the saftey of the bike any longer until ducati addresses the problem.
On november 24th i was in a single vehicle accident.while riding my 2006 749 ducati the front tire was wobbling back and forth and the back tire began to do the same. I was unable to control the bike and subsequently crashed into a guard rail, fracturing 5 vertebra, breaking an arm and a foot.there is something seriously wrong with this bike.

This is for aftermarket "ducabike" (http://www.ducabike.com/) set of foot pegs not the ducati motorcycle itself. The set comes with folding pegs that are supposed to fold upward. The problem is the design. The pegs can turn on their axle and fold downwards. This happened to me while riding and i crashed when my foot came off peg.
