Tl the contact owns a 2011 drv doubletree mobile suite drv fifth wheel. The contact stated while driving 70 mph he was notified by another driver that the landing gear lowered and the gear had extended down to the pavement. The landing gear was associated with the hydraulic leveling system. There were no warning lights when the failure occurred. The failure could have potentiallycaused a major crash to occur. The failure was diagnosed by the dealer who stated the hydraulic system caused fluid to leak through and lower the landing gear legs. The rv will be repaired when the part becomes available. The manufacturer was notified and stated that the failure only occurred once in a while. The contact was unable to drive the vehicle until it was repaired. The failure occurred in october 2013 and to date the parts are not available. The rv association was notified of the failure and stated they would review the details and notify him. The vehicle will be repaired under the extended warranty. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000. Rk
