I was driving south at around 30 mph in my 2005 dodge grand caravan.the other vehicle traveling north turned left in front of me, and i was not able to stop.the airbag did not deploy, and the owner of the automobile shop that fixed it noticed that the wire to the airbag seemed to have been ripped off in the course of the crash.

Since december of 2004, when i purchased my dream truck, it has a multitude of electrical/mechanical problems.loss of power;ignition failure;engine shut down;windowsopening; no dash lights; radio doesn't work; tail lights staying on.no down shifting up hills; dash board is hot to the touch.

In october of 2005 i was at a red light and when the light turned green i took my foot of the brake and onto the gas and the truck was dead. I had to put it in neutral and it started back up. About a week went by and i again had the vehicle and was at the grocery store and it would not start at all. We called the dealership and stated to them truck doesnt start stalls in drive. We dropped off the vehicle on 11/22/05. They had it for a day and told us that they could not find anything wrong with it it wasnt "throwing and codes" so there was nothing they could do. Brought truck back again on 11/28/05 same problem they hooked it up to computer no codes couldnt fix anything it started fine for them, since its not ever single time you start the truck. Drove truck for sometime no problems in the beginning of the year. Had some more times it didnt start talked to service manager in november of 2006 stated that vehicle had been stalling and not starting again over the past month. We brought the vehicle to dealership on november 14th, 2006 and told them to keep the vehicle til they find something wrong with it. The service manager stated he would drive vehicle as if it was his own. Upon entering vehicle the truck did not start for service manager. He stated it still didnt throw any codes but they would keep til they could find something wrong with it. They replaced the pcm and stated this should hopefully fix the problem. We got the vehicle back on nov 30th, 2006.friday december 1st the truck did not start for us in the morning.we contacted dealership on monday decemeber 4th and was told that they would have to keep the vehicle til it didnt start so they could connect it back to computer but thats all they can do. Since we have already been inconvenieced at this point for over a year and a half now we are opting to keep the truck and contact the manufacturer with a letter of notice of final opportunity and contacted the attorney general to file complaint.

2005 dodge durango slt 2wdon 4/11/2005 while driving with my 2 yr old son the vehicle stalled while accelerating through a busy intersection.i was almost hit by 2 vehicles.the vehicle was towed to jack caruso''s regency dodge.it took the dealership 2 days and several fuses before coming to the conclusion that it the wiring at the back of the right side cylinder head needed to be repair and a capacitor needed to be replaced.on 6/15/2005 while driving with my 2 yr old son the vehicle stalled again while accelerating through a busy intersection.again, i was almost hit by on coming traffic.the vehicle was towed, again, to jack caruso''s regency dodge.when i called the dealer 6/16/2005 i was advised that it was the same problem but they were performing additional diagnostic''s to see if anything else was wrong.at this point i advised i no longer feel safe driving this truck.this is my only means of transportation for my son and myself.i do not want to have worry every time i get to an intersection if they vehicle is going to stall.i asked the dealer about replacing the vehicle; i was instructed to call chrysler corporate head quarters.after speaking with a service representative i was informed that repurchasing the vehicle was not an option based on the information gathered from my service representative and myself, under florida lemon law you must have 3 problems with in 24 months.i have experienced 2 problems with in 66 days.unacceptable.my concern is that someone will have to be seriously injured before chrysler rectifies the situation.

Blinking computerized dash.dash goes blank , no tac ,or speedometer , or fuel/heat gauges, esp/bas.

My 18 year old son bought a new dodge srt-4 and 3 weeks later lost his life in an accident while driving this vehicle.it is a very fast and unsafe car.the car was not made well enough for such high speed that it was capable off.it should have never been made ,and especially sold to such a young person.everyone needs to be informed about this vehicle and the terrible consequences that occur when driving it the way dodge presented it to the public.our lives have been ruined due to this, and we do not want anyone else to have to go through what we did.i contacted the dodge corporation and spoke to an attorney, and asked them how many people had lost their lives in this particular vehicle, and she answered, we have no way of knowing that.i know that wasnot true.

2005 suv dodge durango w hemi engine stalled making a turn at low speed. Engine diedand all systems shutdown. Loss of power steering made it a scary 10 seconds. Vehicle put in park and re-started again. Based on prior complaints this is not the first time. Dodge needs to investigate and produce a recall before a fatality occurs.

Bought car new and i am having the gears get stuck and it uses or leaks about a quart of oil between oil changes and car only has 29,500 miles and the dealership refuses to make it right they say this is normal if so it should have been put on the sticker of the car.i would not have bought it it requires full synthetic oil which runs about 5.50 a quart. I am close to warranty to run out and need some help asap!!!!

I bought my 2005 dodge ram 2500 4x4 quad cab with the cummins engine in febuary 2005since then the vehicle has been in the shop 6 times for a high pitched squiking sound from the engine, at first the belt tensiner was replaced, proglem persisted, second time the serpertine belt was replaced, still persisted, third time the water pump was replaced, problem still exists, fourth time the cam shaft was replased, no avail, fith the harmonic balace was changed but its still there, so on the six atempt the dealer gave it back to me and said "we cant fix it, file for lemmon law" this hasbeen a nightmear for me the manufacturer has not been cooperative and we went to arbitration and the representarive of the manufacturer admited al my complaints but wanted to dismiss the charges on a technicalitythat the lemmon law form was e- mailed to the wrong address which was provided by a customer service rep of dodge, as to say the problem persists, the case was extended to a final repair and now the truck is miss firering and the check engine light is on..... A new problem on a truck that only has 6000 miles.

While driving our 2005 dodge ram 1500 pick up this last week, the truck engine choked and then began to stall.we had just attempted to make a left hand turn on to hwy 101 when the engine power began to fail for the fourth time.we were almost hit by on coming traffic due to the engine failure to exceed and choke.

Wheel wells are cut to high letting water and road grime into my engine and electric.i have taken my durango back to the dealer every other week since i bought it,for steering,tv screen, valve stems, and once for i don't know, it just sat in back for one and a half hours.this last time it was for knocking in the front end.i have only had the durango for 8 weeks!!!the rack and pinion steering is out.

2005 dodge sprinter 2500 van with front and rear air conditioner.when air conditioners are running, the engine will inadvertently stop running.while driving the van at highway speeds of 70 mph with air conditioners on, the engine dies.we pull the car over, turn off all the air conditioners, put the car back to park and restart the van.engine failure happens randomly.we need air conditioner on because of heatwave here in california where temperatures are 112 degrees!

Please no: i live in florida anddriving insummer i go to north carolina. That is where i am now and can be contacted at [xxx]. Mail address is: [xxx]. Good morning. I did notknow if this was a proper complaint. However, i had 18000 miles onthe 2005 dodge grand caravan. At about 15000 miles i began to notice that whenthevehicle reached a sustained 60 mphor higher the accelerator pedal would momentarily stick if i released the pedal & then reapplied the pedal for more speed. It progressively got worse. I was concerned that i might be on a highway at high speed and have the throttle fail,so i went to the dealer thinking that this was something under warranty. I was advised that i needed a new air filter , i did as it was dirty.also, the throttle housing where the butterfly was locatedwas carboned up, and that at high speed the metal heated up and expanded and the carbon around the butterfly would cause it to stick. I was told that the carbon was into the engine and needed to be cleaned along with the fuel injectors. I asked if this was a warranty item, and i was told it was not as it comes under regular maintenance with this advise i had them do the work for a cost of $328.37. I wastold that i could expect this to happen about every 15000 miles.i didn't feel that this is a thing that should be happening nor do i feel that it should be a regular maintenance problem.i will appreciate if you would look into this problem and advise me of your findings.sincerely,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

My 2005 dodge grand caravan would not start one evening. I called a tow truck after several attempts to start the van. The van had less than 15000 miles on it. I had it delivered to landers dodge located in southaven, ms. This was on a sunday, so i went up there on the following monday to see what was wrong with my van. I was told nothing was wrong with it, and one of the employees said they watched the van while it was driven off of the tow truck, which was not the truth. My husband helped the tow truck driver push it off the day before.they claimed it started right up, and nothing was wrong with it. So i took it home. A week later it did the same thing, so i waited ten minutes and tried to start it again. It was reluctant, but it did finally start.

My name is [xxx], i am writing today in hope that your organization can assist me with resolving an issue i am having with daimlerchrysler.basically i purchased a brand new dodge magnum 2005 in june of 2004. The day i took it home it had a weird burning smell.i have contacted everyone possible about this matter including the president of daimlerchrysler.no help the dealer decided to ban me of the property, stating they could no longer assist me. The problem is intermittent but has been identified by the dealers management staff and resolved by several different solutions but none have resolved the issue (still burning) i am stuck without any other option but to pay for a beautiful lemon and the lemon law has many loop holes, and is not as free & clear when it comes to intermittent problems. I have all the documentation to support my claims & am desperate for help.i just don't want to end up paying thirty thousand dollars for a car, which could burst into flames at any time. I really just want my car replaced with one that runs properly, nothing more.please help.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2005 dodge srt-4. While driving approximately 35-40 mph, the vehicle was shifted from second to third gear. The gear seized and fractured. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the shift selector fractured and the third gear fork was fractured. The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.

I own a 2005 dodge neon srt4. Its well known that3rd gear shift selector bends over time and makes 3rd gear grind or pop out. I have experienced this problem since i have 25k on my car and its now at 49k. I've taken it to a few local dealer ships but none resolved the problem.

Brought a new 2005 jeep on 9/19/05 on 9/21/05 had trouble with it they said it had water in the transmission after looking on the net i found they had trouble with these kind of jeeps i wanted a new ride or my old car back they refused saying when it tore up they would replace the transmission i feel i was sold a dangerous ride that i could catch on fire and they knew this problem existed.

2005 dodge ram 3500 st reg cab 4x2 (this make not available under vehicle information)truck jumped out of gear into reverse while in park at a gas station and hit a pole by the gas pump causing damage to the rear bumper and tailgate.it then shifted gear into drive and went forward hitting a pole by the front door of the store damaging the front bumper, hood, and air conditioner compressor.the park light now does not light up when in the park position.the truck was brought to the dealership for inspection, but was told there was nothing wrong with the truck, it was in drivable condition, and that i must file a claim with my insurance company to get the damages repaired.complaints filed with the manufacturer and other related parties.

My 2005 dodge srt-4 with 6800 miles was stored all winter and i took it out because my other vehicle broke down.i pulled out of my driveway and shifted from first to second and then i shifted to third it felt like my clutch was slipping so i lift off the gas and i heard a big boom. Well come to find out the flywheel exploded. They pulled the transmission and found the block of the motor was cracked so right now it is in the shop getting fixed so far the estimated price is around $5000.

Lost power, someone hit from behind.

Our 2005 neon srt/4 is a high performance car with a manual transmission. They made 8,000 in 2005. 5,000 cars came equipped with the t-304 manual transmission. The third gear in this transmission locked up while driving in traffic. The car revved to 8,000rpm and stalled, breaking parts. A definite safety issue. Online, ( i'll include the info) out of 1,544 2005 srt/4 owners polled, 1,195 had issues with this 3rd gear. They included: it does not go into gear first try, it goes but grinds( damages clutch), it tries to kick out of gear, it grinds under wot shifting, can't shift into 3rd when wot(wide open throttle). It appears all these transmission are defective & dangerous to the public. I was a former tool engineer for gm truck steering, etc., for american axle. I asked for my old parts from the $2,200.00 repair when i picked up our car on 7/29/09. Upon examining the broken /damaged parts, the forks appeared to be made of a soft brass! the northtown dodge service manager& mechanic mentioned that the replacement parts had been upgraded( the bearings and forks). When i asked if it was steel replacement parts they would not answer. I then explained to them that dodge would not spend $100,000's to upgrade parts for no reason. I got no where. When i called dodge, some idiots in india answered the phone. These are defective parts that should be recalled. My son had taken the car to transitown dodge about 3 months before to have this problem checked, and they could not find anything.

I have been "locked-out" of gear in my 2005 srt-4 multiple times. Even with the clutch pedal is fully and properly pressed, the transmission refuses to shift and engage a gear. This has happened to me in first, second, and third gear. When it occurs, i am stuck in neutral, unable to accelerate. This has happened in traffic many times. Just today i was unable to engage third gear while going down an on-ramp, so i was stuck coasting down into rapidly moving traffic. Though i was eventually able to get into gear, it was quite harrowing. Dodge needs to perform a recall on this transmission before it does cause someone to become seriously injured in an accident.

Brakes have been replace twice, brake pads, bushings, shift gear, and still rolls on hills to where your not careful will hit someone behind you, i have to be a left foot driver at these times, and they have to rotate the brake axel, never had been disappointed in a new vehicle as are dodge carvan sit-n-stow, we had a nissan van and never had problems and it was a used one at that and a 2000 and had it for 5 years and never had to do anything to it, and had a honda civic for 4years and never had problems either, this is ridiculous for a new van and have had problems since the first oil and lube job that they did on it and have file a lemon law and took other reactions with gov nixon and they have fix it, but still having brake and brake pads issues and getting tired of it,and have asked for this to be taken care of from the dealership and the headquarters and nothing is being done.

I own a 2005 dodge ram 1500 pick up quad cab4x4with the 5.7 ltr. Hemi engine. I have had numerous problems with the front rotors getting too hot and warping dodges solution to the problem has only to turn the rotors to get me out of their hair this is the 3rd time they have not corrected the problem there is something causing the rotors to heat upand if you hit a rain storm they warp i was recently on a vacation the last time it happenedand it almost caused me to have an accident my warranty expired during this vacationand now dodge will not fix the problem. Can you help me please?im so sick of dealers only putting bandaids on problemsinstead of investigating the problems and resolving them i love my truck but im fed up with the dealer not being honest and fixing the problem correctly thank youwilliam welling

I placed a complaint in may 05, 3 months after i purchased my 05 durango because it was making a popping noise when i turn.the dealership has replaced the intermediate shaft, swaybar links, and the rack and pinion and yet i still have a popping noise when i turn.i am now out of my factory warrany and am into my extended warranty.i think that its wrong that i am now having to pay $50 for the dealership to change parts that do not fix the problem that they should have fixed prior to my factory warranty running out.

When car is at a stop and turning steering wheel sharp to proceed forward with a turn car stalls.

The van can be driven with the doors left open, no warnings given that doors are open.this allows people or packages to fall out of the side or rear doors without the driver knowing packages/people have fallen out of the van.if the side door is open and one makes a left turn, packages/cargo could slide out the side door and strike someone standing on a sidewalk.

Front suspension problem-when at highway speeds sometimes hit a bump and the front tire bounces out of control until i slow to 20 mph-dodge dealer replace tie rods and center link but the problem continues.

When using cruise control on my 2005 dodge caravan the cruise control sometimes will not disengage by touching the brake when under full acceleration going up a hill.this is extremely dangerous, especially when a car in front hits its brake. It requires full force pressure on the brake to disengage the cruise control.
