Takata recall.i want you to tell me how to disable the passenger side airbag.the service manager at the dealer won't tell me.i emailed the request to dodge sprinter.they won't tell me. My vehicle is in the last group that is to be fixed - way in the future.i want to protect my wife and myself by disabling the airbag since it will not be fixed for a long long time.11 people dead, hundreds horribly injured - look at the pictures.please put yourself in my shoes.wouldn't you want to disable the airbag - be honest.i found the steps and instructions online as to how to remove the airbag.i don't want to remove it.i want to disable it.the first step is to disconnect the wire that goes to the battery.is that enough to disable it?if not then what else do i need to do?i bought this motorhome 5 years ago.the problem was not known then.last month i tried to trade it in on a newer motorhome.the dealer would not take it as a trade in.i don't have the money to buy a second motorhome and just let this one sit until it gets fixed.i need a fix now.i request that you direct someone to tell me how - dodge sprinter - takata - someone.an engineer at dodge sprinter designed the connections to make it work.he/she knows.i did not cause this problem.i should not have to live with it.what should i do next to get this taken care of?do i need a lawyer to represent me in this case in order to get anything done?i should not have to pay to get this taken care of.it is not my fault and i and my wife are in danger.it is not hypothetical.look at the data and the terrible pictures.do something.

Takata recall we have experienced a total of 3 recalls on this vehicle.the first recall was 2016 on the passenger side.the second recall in 2017 on the drivers side.the third most importantly was a recall on the 2016 recall the passenger side. For almost 2 years the u.s. Recall center kept sending out warnings but never clearly stated it was a recall on a recall. As consumers, we would call to ask questions to clarify this..only to have them take down invoices and dates on when the air bags were replaced and promising this was noted and fulfilled their need to send us a notice.soon after, we would get more notices via mail and also phone messages.we had 2 different conference telephone calls with dodge/recall center/and us, the [xxx]'s... And were told the problem was resolved. Having said that it was not.finally a smart service dept. Manager at dodge found the error and rectified it. He said. Here in lies the problem, you have another recall on the 2016 recall. Really?since fixing this, i have notified the call center, via phone to bring to their attention.i thinkit needs to be documented now. It is imparative that when it is arecall of a previous recall. Someone needs to pay attention. Many consumers, like we almost did, will just ignore these second notices.we throw away the notices because we are told and believe this is already repaired. It was not.so please, for your own sake, make adjustments to this problem before you are addressing lives lost due to misinformation. Recall on previous recalls are indeed happening and are very dangerous if left unanswered.you can thank me now or just pay for needless deaths later.your welcome.[xxx] vancouver, washington.[xxx]call only if you have a true, valid question.if not, no need to call at all. Have a good day. Parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata inflators:in reply to previous complaint10986163forgot to mention this rv was purchased in 2013 in florida so it was exposed for many years to high humidity
2010 fleetwood "icon" (2008 sprinter chassis) 33,612 milesvin [xxx]the dodge sprinter rv i purchased (used, 16,500 miles) in february of this year (2013) from a private rv dealer in oregon has a serious (intermittent) electrical problem that dodge/chrysler has been unable to repair after 5 or 6 attempts in the past 3 months, both in oregon and california.i drove the rv to alaska starting in may of this year and when i was driving to valdez, ak the engine just cut out and i lost all electrical. I coasted to a stop and the vehicle immediately started, but i had a number of warning lights on my dash. From this point forward i developed issues with my glow-plug light not illuminating and being unable to start my motor. Driving through washington/oregon i continued to look for a dealership that could check my rv out, but all but one in beaverton, oregon couldn't accommodate the size of my rv. Meanwhile i experienced intermittent problems with starting/dying. The dealership in beaverton couldn't locate my problem, but gave me copies of the numerous and strange trouble codes my vehicle was posting when it died/or wouldn't start.the rv is still under warranty and has been in two different dealerships to resolve the issue of dying while driving (serious safety issue which the mechanic at crown dodge duplicated). The other electrical problems are "no start" (intermittent) and no clearance lights (constant).information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
