When washing the car - the paint just peeled offand now the air bag light stays on.

Upon impact, during frontal crash, at approx. 15mph, 12:00 on front bumper, airbag broke skin of steering wheel, but, never fully inflated.

Consumer was involved in a 45 fronta.l collision in which the driver's air bag did not deploy. Please give any further details.

Vehicle was on fire in dashboard. Consumer lifted uppanel and discovered that there was a small fire.

While driving a burst of flames ignited behind the temperature gauge.fire department was called to putfire out.dealer has been contacted.

Vehicle started smoking under the dash.disconnected two burning wires.tt

Serpentine belt tension pully failed allowing serentine belt to fall off. Serpentine belt pully and belt had to be replaced at a cost of over $200.00. Vehicle out of warranty. Sepentine belt tension pully is a dealer item only.

When turning a sharp corner/curve there's a weird sound,consumer thinks the engine is too big.all 4 bolts that hold the engine to the mount have broken.angiuli 718-727-5800 dealership replaced 3-free 1st/2nd, for1 was charged $300.

I have confirmed this problem with other drivers of the same car. The torque is too much for the enginemounts to handle.

Headlight switch gets very hot where it can burn driver's fingers and it is causing melting within the wires.

The fuel line on this vehicle has a proprietory connection going from the steel gas tank line to the fuel filter. The factory crimped clamp on this line completely failed allowing fuel to run freely whenever the ignition was on.this failure was caught in time to negate any serious problems arising from the failure of this factory crimped hose connection.i have saved the parts involved in this and they are available if you wish to inspect them.on contacting the local dodge dealer i was told that this failure was the result of our mn climate and therefore the rust and failure of this factory hose clamp was not of concern to them.note: the proprietory connection was rusty, the failure was in the factory crimped hose clamp attached to it. The metal in this factory crimped clamp looks like pot metal or something similar

Fuel leakagecaused byright brake line bracket that was shoved intobrake line. Contacted dealer, and the dealer is not willing to do anything.consumer stated that the chrysler dealer informedher that a roll of tubing would need to be purchased and then molded to fit the area.

Hi what i have is a question regarding a loose vacuum hose on a 1993 dodge shadow.i was wondering if i could have suffered carbon monoxide poisoning from it having been disconnected (intentionally) and me driving the car on and off for 2 years?

The doors jam with the child safety locks engaged/doors will not open from the outside at all.

Transmission failure.

4-speed automatic transmission began dropping into low gear while at highway speeds.

Found many other people with similar problems on various other internet sites. I don't want to nor can i afford another transmission or another car for that matter. I want this problem solved as cheaply as possible.i am not able to contact chrysler via internet.need a way to contact them to have them pay for this problem.

Coming to a stop,the gearwill shift into first gear before vehicle stops. Sometimes it causes car to accelerate and lurch forward.took to dealer, he said the transmission needed to be rebuild because it is in the "bump stop" condition.

The contact owns a 1993 dodge shadow. The contact stated while exiting a residential garage, the driver seat collapsed backward into the rear seats. The dealer diagnosed that the top bolt was fractured and would need replacing. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired for the exact same failure six years prior under nhtsa campaign id number: 99v212000 (seats:front assembly:recliner). The manufacturer was contacted who offered no assistance because the vehicle was previously repaired under the recall. The vin was not available and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 196,700.

When going up a driveway, hitting a small bump in the road or turning a corner, a small cracking noise comes from the back of the vehicle. A mechanic stated that one of welds in the trailing arm is cracked.

Please note:that other reports of similar reports appear on the nhtsa website under different catagories.we call it the rear sway bar.

When driving vehicle it hit a bump, or when backing up vehicle would squeak/shake & rock very badly. Took to dealer & informed by mechanic it was not shocks but problem in rear suspension.

Rattling in rear end with swaying that seemed to indicate rear shock failure, once a garage inspected it, the cracked rear trailing arm assembly was discovered. Dealership does not deny it's a common problem. Nice to know the rear end in a dodge is good for less than 50000 miles.

Paint peeling and chipping from time of purchase.additional storm damage occurred on june 1, 1999 which comprehensive would have covered.body shop told me if he tried to repair the new damage the other would only chip and peel worse due to the buffing.he said he had seen lots of paint on 1993 dodge shadows just like mine and it should have been recalled for the bad paint but to his knowledge there was no recall on it.if you have any input or can find out if they did recall the paint on that particular vehicle please send me an email at [email protected] you in advance.kay mcmahon

The paint is peeling on the entire car, but especially on the hood.as the paint peels it flies off of the car and the paint chips cause an obstructed driving view.i have seen dozens of other dodge cars in my town with the same problem. No safety defect.

I noticed that many other cars of the same model are having the paint pealing problem just like mine.

Paint off white dodge shadow peeling off;have seen many shodows'with same problem. No safety defect listed in summary.
