The contact owns a 2003 dodge ram 2500. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v354000 (airbag) however, the part needed to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The windshield appears weak having many pock marks in it.this causes the windshield wipers to need to be replaced often. The dash is severely cracked and we are afraid that this is going to cause the air bag to rupture on the passenger side (besides the fact that it is coming apart).

The dash board on this vehicle is cracking all over.it has cracked around the passenger airbag and pieces have fallen into the airbag compartment.this has not caused injury yet, but if involved in an accident, the broken pieces will definitely cause injury and i hope that they do not affect the airbag deployment.pieces blow into your face while running the defrost which if struck in the eye could cause an accident.

So many of these trucks have dashboards that are literally falling apart and the recall on the airbags can't be done without the dashboards being replaced which is above $1400.00! my 2004 toyota 4runner dashboard did the same thing, only not as extreme as falling apart like my dodge ram 1500. Toyota did the right thing and recalled the dashboard! this truck was just purchased for my son and now they can't and won't replace the airbag unless we pay to have the dashboard replaced? if the manufacturer of dodge doesn't do the same and i or one of my passengers is hurt because of the recall airbag, you best believe there will be a huge lawsuit coming their way!

I have a 2003 dodge ram and the dash has 2 cracks in it.i am afraid that the cracks could somehow cause the air bags to deploy.

Takata recall / i received the nhtsa campaign number: 15v312000 (airbags) frontal passenger air bag inflator however, in order to repair the vehicle the dashboard would have to beremoved and the dealer stated that they would not be able to remove the existing dashboard without damaging the dashboard further. Dodge stated they will not cover the parts nor labor to replace the dashboard. The dealer contacted was national dodge chrysler jeep ram located at2223 n marine blvd, jacksonville, nc 28546. I believe that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount oftime for the recall repair and should be responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused in the complete of the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and contacted the dealer.see attached emails/pictures.

The contact owned a 2003 dodge ram quad cab. While driving approximately 50-55 mph, the contact attempted to avoid crashing into a deer and lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a corn field. The air bags did not deploy.the contact sustained injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed and the vehicle was destroyed. The vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v312000 (air bags). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

While stopped at a stoplight my 2003 dodge ram pickup truck was hit in the rear and pushed off the road into a tree.the air bags did not deploy.the vehicle is a total loss and my husband and i both received head and face injuries from hitting the dash and/or the steering wheel.

While driving approximately 55 mph vehicle hit three cows that were in the road and the front air bags did not deploy. Driver was transported to the emergency room for treatment of back pain. Also, the driverhad an appointment to check for any internal head injuries.

On august 2, 2010, in the early evening, my spouse, the sole occupant, fell asleep while driving our 2003 dodge ram 1500 slt quad cab and hit a standard size steel street sign, a standard gauge guide wire for a telephone/power pole, and finally the telephone/power pole itself. The impact of this crash destroyed the truck. Thankfully, my wife was wearing her safety belt, and suffered only minor injuries. The guide/support wire had embedded itself into the front bumper and hood and had to be cut out. Amazingly, neither the driver nor passenger airbags deployed in this incident.as the power pole had broken in two, there were live electrical wires at the scene. Emergency crews took nearly 7 hours to clear the scene and restore power and cable to a localized area. She had been traveling in a sse direction on hesperia avenue in victorville, ca at approx. 45 mph. The weather was ideal for road travel: clear, dry, windless, with temperature around 95 f. The vehicle was well-maintained and had approx. 42,200 miles on it. I have done some research into this matter and found prior instances of similar airbag non-deployments in chrysler vehicles. In my opinion, it appears that there are too few, and'or poorly located, and'or defective airbag sensors on this and other chrysler products.this is not a total condemnation of chrysler or the dodge ram. We enjoyed this truck very much for over 7 years. We associate many happy memories with the vehicle, however this is a glaring problem that must be rectified. The likelihood of other catastrophic crashes resulting in injury or death is high. The aim of safety airbags is to reduce injuries and death. An airbag system failure from this high speed and high impact crash scenario should never occur. Please exercise all legal and ethical due diligence in all means and manner available to persuade/demand/force chrysler corp. To recall this and other products in order to make them functional and safe for the public.

Went to turn on my left directional and had a loss of directionals, windshield wipers, windshield washer and four way flasher. Checked problem thoroughlyand found it to be a faulty multifunction switch installed behind steering wheel.

My passenger doors, front and rear, will not function with the power lock and the windows can only be rolled down from the drivers controls.this is a safety concern to me as it will make it difficult or impossible for someone to quickly get out of the vehicle if they need to bail out, or get out in the event of an accident.if the driver became ill had a medical emergency, passengers would be unable to get out of the vehicle.the electrical wires in the door harnesses have broken and caused the issue to occur.

While drivingat any speed, intermittentlysteering wheel locked up/ brakes failed, and turn signal was not working. Dealer had inspectedvehicle 3 times;firs t time battery cable, second time dealer kept vehicle 1 day andcould not duplicate the problem, andthird time installed a monitor for ten days, and still couldn't correct the problem.(dealer stated thiswa san electric issue.

For 2 years my truck has had issues with the lights on the dashboard turning on and off for no reason. Now the lamp out, abs and brake light are on all the time. Leaving my left turn signal unable to work.when the dashboard dies, nothing will work. This includes the lights, windshield wipers, speedometer, and all other gauges on the dashboard. I have brought it in on a few occasions to be fixed and was told they could not fix the problem because they do not know what's causing it. If driving the truck at night or on a rainy day, this could be very dangerous for obvious reasons. I have read other complaints on this website for the same thing. Something needs to be done before someone gets killed!

Stalling when going from idle such as accellerating out of a turn, turning from a stop sign, pulling into or out of a parking stall.

I own a 2003 dodge ram 1500 4x4 quad cab slt vin 1d7-hu18n53s-188168 assembly point, warren, michigan. The truck stalled while in traffic making a 10-15 mph right turn. The second occurence was july15, 2004. Very close call here. I was in the smokey mountains camping. The six hour drive home towing my popup was nerve racking to say the least. Especially, since my13, 6 and 3 year old were in the truck. I mentioned that the truck runs extremely rough intermittently to the dealer morgan dodge durham north carolina on at least two occasions. I am also experiencingan intermittentshudder that seems to be coming from the transmission, also mentioned to the dealer on at least two occasions. The dealer simply said that they could not reproduce the shudder or stall. I also had a severe brake pulsation. They did replace front pads and calipers and cut rotors. They were supposed to follow up with me regarding the shudder and stall but as of this date, 7/18/2004 i have not yet receive a call back.

I have taken my 2003 ram 1500 quad cab slt with the hemi (magnum 5.7l smpl v8 back to allen samuels dodge in katy, texasat least 3 or 4 times for a loud clunking noise when putting it in drive or reverse, plus at least 3 times i have told them that for no reason at all i can put my truck in gear and it starts to shutter and wont go over 15 to 20 miles per hour.they put a co-pilot in my truck on june 23,2003 my truck did not do the shuttering thing but one time and i pushed the button as told.the dealership listed it as transmission concern(intermitient) on august 26,2003 i was called and asked to bring back the co-pilot cause they needed it for another car.i did and last noght i went to the store and when i came out and started my truck put it in reverse it started shuttering, put it in drive and around 2000rpms in tried to go,i stopped put it in park turn the truck off ,waited 2 minutes and started it up again, got 2 blocks down the street and it shuttered and everything just died,i almost got rear ended.put in park again and started it again, made it to the red light and when i started to turn on aldine-westfield it did the samething again, got into the parking lot and put it in park and started it again, got 2 blocks from my street it did it again.finally i got on my street and had my husband on the phone telling what was happening and he said floor it and see what happens,i did and it ran normal.when i returned the co-pilot i was told by two service writers that it is a computer software problem and there is no fix for it.to me this is serious cause not only am i in danger so are the other people around me and others who also own a truck like mine.a friend of mine who also has the same truck said between 5000 and 6000 miles it will just die and leave me stranded where ever i am at that time.can i make dodge put a new computer in now and keep on getting an new computer until the software problem is fixed?

When going from reverse to drive, at times engine idles rough and rpm's drop to about 350-400 rpm. Approximately 75% of the time it happens the engine quits. The other 25% of the time it happens the rpm's increase after a short period of time (20seconds to 1 minute) and if still in gear the truck will lurch forward when rpms increase.pressing the accelerator to increase rpm's does not affect rpm's when engine is stumbling and truck will not move. Dealer has been notified, known problem with engine programming. Problem has existed since truck was new.

This issue occurs intermittenly, while pulling forward into my parking place, i shifted the truck into reverse and it stalled.i restarted the vehicle in park and shifted to reverse then again ahifting into drive and the engine stalled again.this happened three times in one week.each time was after driving at least 15 miles so the vehicle was heated up.this could be a major issue especially while backing down my jet skis into the water.i have taken the vehicle into dodge for warranty repair and after 2 days, they said they have yet to reproduce or diagnose the issue.

When coming to a stop at red light vehicle would die. Took pick up to dealer, an was told they counldn't get pickup to repeat problem. Picked up pickup from dealer an within thirty minutes pickup died at red light. Took pickup to dealer on 3/29 an 3/30 dealer still couldn't find problem. On 3/31 took pickup for drive with dealer mech. An drove pickup for fortyfive mintues, when pickup died at redlight. Was called by dealer an said they could find any codes. Would keep pickup for two more days.

On july 30, 2006 my cabin controls (a/c, defrost, vent and window wipers) would not work.i took the vehicle to my local mechanic who identified the problem in the wiring harness in the steering column.my local mechanic made an attempt to fix the problem but when he contacted dodge for a replacement part they refused to sell it to them due to a recall on the model year before mine (2002).i had to take my vehicle to dave croft motors in collinsville, il for repair costing me approx 2x's more than my local shop.dave croft said the wiring harness and ignition switch was bad due to the faulty part.when i question dodge about this harness and the recall they would not provide me any information.dave croft fixed the problem as of this date however, i am still waiting to hear from dodge if they will cover this repair. (recalled part in 2002 dodge is the same part in my 2003).

While driving the valve spring broke and dropped the valve into the cylinder causing engine damage. This is a common problem on the 5.7 hemi engine . One that dodge is well aware of . There should be some sort of favor given on the matter . Out of all the engines i have owned as well as worked on this is the only that has had this as a common failure and it really needs to be addressed.

I own a 2003 dodge ram 1500 4x4 quad cab slt vin 1d7-hu18n53s-188168 assembly point, warren, michigan. The truck stalled while in traffic making a 10-15 mph right turn. I own a 2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4x4.recently while driving at slow speeds, the engine died.i restarted and heard a load clanking sound from the right side of the engine.the noise sounded like a connecting rod knock.i contacted roadside assistance and they arranged to have the vehicle towed to the dealership.when we arrived at the dealer, the mechanic could not get it started.when he finally got it started, the engine locked up.the engine was torn down and it was discovered that the valve spring on the intake valve for the #6 cylinder had broken in two, the valve had dropped into the cylinder, flipped over, punctured a hole in the #6 piston and snapped in half.the dealer, fenton auto group in pampa, texas has done a great job of arranging for a loaner car, and getting the mechanic to work on it immediately.dodge is repairing under warranty a brand new short block, brand new passenger side head, valve spring and valve.they were able to get the parts immediately (the next day) and plan to have it repaired quickly.my complaint is that if i were building or rebuilding and engine that had a broken valve spring problem that i would replace every valve spring on the entire engine.an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and a couple hundred dollars could save several thousand later.secondly, i think i am entitled to some sort of compensation for the loss of the use of my pickup in the way of an extended warranty at no charge, service contract etc.the payments don't stop just because the truck is in the shop.i have also had to have the front rotors turned due to warpage.the truck was a dealer demo purchased with 5,669 miles on it and currently has 11,285 miles.dodge is well aware of this problem, as the service manager at the dealer where it was purchased at dallas dodge knew exactly what it was and stated he had heard of the problem in schools.*la

2003 dodge hemi 4x4 quadcab longbox slt1st.when the pickup runs from day one it has a semi-loud engine noise that comes from the drivers side of the engine that dodge service technicians have tried to repair several times but can't.2nd.the pickup has 3 times since new, shuttered when backing up, then shuttered going forward when finally clearing its self running fine.3rd.when we pull grades with the pickup then need to go down hill or on a flat, the pickup will surge noticeable on the tach and by listening to the engine run.no runaways so far.the pickup has been in the dodge repair shop many times for repairs and i still do not have it back.as of today 10/24/03 i have been without my pickup this last time for 7 days and have yet to hear anything from the service department at dodge.i think this pick-up needs to go back to the factory.believe it or not i still like the darn thing.i need help and advice as to what needs to be done?thank you.jj.*la

Sept. 2004 bought 2003 dodge quad cab w/hemi.had approximately 34,000 miles on it.truck was in great shape, ran good, drove good.then in oct,2005,had a valve spring break on left side of motor, causing motor to lock-up.at this time the truck had 84,400 miles on it.we live 30 miles from our jobs,so we put a lot of miles on our vehicles.i called daimler-chrysler to see if they would either fix the truck,or at least help with the repairs(after all,you would think that a hemi motor should be good for a lot longer than 80,000 miles).daimler-chrysler said that they would need "a certified dodge dealership"to check out the truck to see what exactly happened and why it happened.i had the truck towed to the local dealership(savannah dodge, savannah,ga).they confirmed the broken valve spring and broken valve.the mechanic at the dealership said that he has seen a few of these same problems, and the fix is to replace the head(it was damaged)use new valves and valve springs(with new"heavy-duty" valve springs).he also suggested that i replace the valve springs on the other head with these new"heavy-duty"valve springs.i called daimler-chrysler again and told them what their five-star dealership said.after calling daimler-chrysler several more times, they said that they(daimler-chrysler)would call the dealership and then decide if they would or could help with the repairs.needless to say,i had to call daimler-chrysler back(they do not return phone calls)they said that they would not help with the repairs because(1)i did not buy this truck new(2)it was out of the 70,000 mile warranty(3)because i did not have receipts of my oil changes(i am a mechanic of 25+ years,i do my own oil changes, buy my oil(castrol 5w30)by the case at wal-mart every 3000 miles.

While entering the driver side of the vehicle using the a-pillar grab handle assembly, the entire assembly broke free from the vehicle structure.i fell backwards onto the pavement injuring my back and left shoulder.my head missed striking a concrete curb by mere inches.this failure constitutes a serious safety condition with a strong possibility of personal injury.this is also a latent defect that is unable to be detected by the consumer until the component fails.my injuries resulted in two lost-work days, but could have been fatal if my head had struck the concrete curbing mentioned previously.this safety condition affects both the driver and passenger a-pillar and b-pillargrab handle assemblies (if quad cab) in all dodge ram series trucks.an inspection of the component showed that the assembly is held to the vehicle structure with two 8mm bolts.the bolts had pulled-through the plastic material of the assembly.there is no metal sub-structure within the handle assembly to prevent bolt pull-through from occurring.it seems unconscionable that a manufacturer would design a component to be used as a occupant weight bearing device without insuring that the component is designed to withstand the loads likely to be placed upon it.best practicesfor grab handles should always incorporate a metal sub-structure into their design.on a side note, my dealer informed me that the replacement component is on national back-order with every parts depot having fifteen or more parts on order.this would indicate that the problem is wide spread, and requires immediate corrective action.*ph

Went to turn on my left directional and had a loss of directionals, windshield wipers, windshield washer and four way flasher. Checked problem thoroughlyand found it to be a faulty multifunction switch installed behind steering wheel.

Driver's side headlight fails to work.i replaced the bulbs (both left & right side).one week later driver's side headlight failed again.on sept. 26, 2003 vehicle was brought to tom manzi dodge (lawrence, ma), technician said connector was not pushed all the way in.after vehicle was serviced the problem continued to occur.i discovered if the headlights were turned off then back on both headlights would work.i reported my findings to tom manzi dodge and scheduled service for nov. 12, 2003.their findings were inconclusive.i was then instructed to bring the vehicle in as the problem was evident.i informed the tech this may be a problem due to their hours of operation.on nov. 22, 2003 vehicle was scheduled for an oil change at giant dodge (salisbury, ma), where the vehicle was purchased.on the was to the dealership the problem was evident.the tech was provided with the receipt from manzi dodge and not to turn the headlights off, because they would reset.the tech worked on the vehicle for 4 hours then reset the headlights.that night the headlights failed twice.the vehicle is scheduled to be serviced by giant dodge on nov. 28, 2003. *la

The truck was taken in to be looked at because there was avibration. I told them it was a u-joint or bearing going out. The truck had been in the same shop 4 times, for the same thing -the u-joint or bearing. The mechanic at the shop said that the tires needed to be balanced but they did not do that at thier shop. I tokk it to another place, they looked at it and said the tires did not need to be balanced, but they balnced them anyways. So i had two opinions on the truck. The next night i picked up the guys i work with and we went to work. On the way home the drive shaft, drive line, yolk, and transfercase came apart and tried to come up through the floorboard, causing holes in the floorboard, and it pulled the electrical wiring out which caused all the warning lights to come on. Anyone could have been hurt. I got the the truck to a nearby convienent store and i called a tow truck to tow my truck to the shop. I called my wife and we went and picked up all the parts off the highway. The truck, which is still under warranty. They took pictures and sent them to their reps. Their reps in another state said it was in 4 wheel drive in 4 low under extensive torque in a mud hole. It had not rained here in over a month. So the dirt road i was on was dry and smooth. I did not have it in four wheel drive. Why buy a 4 wheel drive if you are not going to use it. They said i was driving fast causing extensive torque!? i was driving the speed limit and people drive fast and their vehicles don't fall apart. They said they wouldn't cover the damage, even though their mechanic made a wrong diagnosis. It is their fault and they should take the responsibility to fix it, with no money coming out of my pocket. I get paid to drive to and from work. Now i don't have a truck to get me to work. The shop says they will pay half the cost to fix it and i can pay the other half. They say they are doing me a favor by doing this.

I took my 03 ram in for service and the service adviser found a clip that had broken in the rear end. Total cost to repair up to $2000.00. I was told that this is a common problem with the ram. Should be a recall for this problem before someone has a rear end to lock up and cause a accident.

Rear differential has been making a grinding noise since day of purchase. Pinion seal has had to be replaced by dealer. The noise and loss of power has become unbearable. Dealer refused to fix under warranty because of unprofessional assesment of axle. Professional repair shop said i was lucky to have made it as long as i did without it locking up and causing me to crash.still has over 6000 miles left on factory warranty. What good does that do when i live 50 miles from dealer and have to drive home because of an unconcerned, unproffessional and absolutely wrong assessment of my axle ???? failure was due to premature axle bearing wear. Assessed by a real professional.

(rear axle shear),t 4:00 pm on march 19th 2005, i was driving this vehicle south bound on california state highway 71. When all of a sudden the right side rear axle sheared, causing the vehicle to go into a forced left handed 360 degree spin. I tried to correct the spin, but the vehicle would not respond or stop. The vehicle crashed into the center median. Also, the engine rpm's went up when the axle shaft broke. The insurance company said the vehicle is a total loss. The dealer would not repair it or admit to the defect. However an employee at the dealership showed me another shaft from a crashed 2003 truck. The axle shaft was identical to mine, the center part of the axle shaft was crystalized.see odi 10116455 also.*dsy.

I have a terrible launch shudder in the drive line of my truck, which the dealer has been unable to repair. I bought the truck sept 03 and returned it to the dealer may 04 with 2027 miles on it.the truck would shake at approximately 20 mph on a hard acceleration the dealer said hewent back to the dealer several more times for the same complaintbut theycouldn't duplicate the problem so there was no fix.finally, on july 25, 2005, at 9028 miles a service tech went for a ride with me and felt the shudder.the dealership replaced the driveshaft and said the vehicle was fixed.i drove off the dealer parking lot and the shudder started as soon as i hit the public street.i drove right back into the dealership and told them the problem hasn't been corrected.the dealer has since removed andreinstalled the exhaust system, removed and replaced 2 bearing in the rear end, an entire rear axle assembly and the engine motor mounts.none of these have worked.jeff kosiba, from chrysler engineering, company phn# 313-493-3359, called the dealer and told him that the rear brakes were hanging up at will and that the following should be removed and replaced: the rear brake hubs, brake pads, calipers and rotors.this repair hasn't been completed as of this date.please investigate asap, this is a dangerous vehicle.

The rear end in my 2003 dodge ram burned up. I first noticed a burning smell like propane gas which started to make me and the family sick. Pulled over to the side of the road found nothing. Then after driving 20 minutes longer the abs light came on. Next i observed orange sparks coming from the back of the truck. Pulled over again and climbed under truck and burnt my arm instantly when touching the rear pumpkin. Sat on the side of the road for 3 hours to let cool down. Then drove to the dealer 30 miles away. Engine light came on and speedometer gauge was jumping all over the place. Truck was also shifting improperly. Dealer said the rear got so hot that it melted the rear abs sensor and the speedometer sensor.

I just had my 2003 dodge ram quad cab 1500 series truck in the dealership for its 30,000 miles service and the dealership told me that they found the differential locking clip had fallen off and had done damage to the inside of my rear. They said that i was very lucky that they found it now since it could have cased a serious accident if it the rear had locked up at highway speeds. I have done some homework on this issue and have seen that there is a very high failure rate on this problem. I am very concerned as i do a lot of towing with my camper and family. I have also seen where there has been a very high failure rate on the rear axles breaking. My dealership did not replace my rear differential but had rebuilt it. I wanted a new one but they told me it was an isolated incident and haven't heard of many differentials failing. What can your organization do to help me?

The plastic tension device on the seat belts (buckle end) are breaking off.this is of most importance with my child safety seats.it does not allow for the seats to stay in place as they loosen up in just one short trip.this affects the safety, security and life of my children.this needs to be repaired right away.

2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab.no safety defect mentioned in summary.

At 3,000 mile the brakes began to shudder, the entire front end of vehicle would shake, then at 9,000 mile service bulletin repair was completed, now at 22,000 i am experiencing the same problem, dealership states that once service bulletin is done dodge will not repair again, and now warranty is expired on brakes

Truck developed warped rotors @ 13k miles.rotors were turned and fron t calipers replaced due to tsb.later shudder reappeard @ about 22k miles.dealer turned rear rotors.shudder reappeared ~6k miles later.replaced rear discs since older ones were beyond turning.shudder reappeared @ 34k.after much discussion with dealer and dodge cust no-service, front hubs were replaced and front rotors turned due to tsb.now at 38k miles shudder is back.

Ongoing problems with the brake system, dealer replaced rotors 3 timesdue to a defect related to the brakes, serviced about 10 times and the problem still present.

I drive a dodge ram 1500 quad cab slt 4x4.an electrical fire was observed in the wiring harness leading from abs control unit.in the past, i have had two problems with the abs sensor and wiring harness.on one occasion, the harness was replaced along with the sensor.on the first occasion, only the sensor was replaced.in a documented diagnosis, the dealer's mechanic stated that there was moisture present in the wiring harness necessitating replacement.the vehicle is currently at the dealer awaiting authorization for repair.i had found a recall notice on autorecalls.org (nhtsa number 04v18500), but apparently my vehicle's vin is not covered under this recall.

Vehiclevibrated/shook when applying the brakes.vehicle was takento the dealer on several occasions, anddealer replaced front rotors and the calipers. Within 9,000 miles of wear the problem recurred.dealer was notified again, but refused to correct the problem becausewarranty expired.

I have a 2003 dodge ram, 1500 quad cab with a hemi engine.i only have 7500 miles on it and i have taken it in twice to have the front rotors turned down because of severe warpage of them.i am being told that they now have to replace the calipers and brake pads but it has now been over a month because there is a national back-order on the parts.they stated that they have no idea when the parts will be in so i have been driving a truck that severly vibrates the steering when i apply the brakes.they refer to tsb 05-008-03 for the problem.

Brake failure had 2 accidects because of this and dodge will not take responsibilityi have had this truck for only 6 months and already have a brake failure

Front brake pulsation.rotors machined at 13000, 18000 and problem keeps recurring.dodge will not admit any problems and will not repair under warranty as it is a wear item.this truck is less than a year old and only sees highway miles, not stop and go driving.the brakes are pulsating again at 22000 miles.what is the solution to this problem dodge?i've worked on cars for 15 years at gm.let me know what the problem is and i'll fix it myself if need be.

Within the first year of owning this truck i had to have the rotors resurfaced twice and within the first 18 months had to have the rotors and calipers replaced. Dealer denied warranty completely (not covered) called chrysler someone named mike said they didn't have anything to do with it. It was probably the way i drive.

I was required to pay $198.03 to the dealership to resurface the front rotors of my 2003 dodge 1500 lonestar pickup. The service tech verified that i still have 8mm of original brake on the front and 10mm of original brake on the back. Since i am past the 12000 miles required by chrysler they feel that this is a normal wear problem. Because of the brakes pulsating each time i applied them i had no choice but to have the problem corrected as it was becoming worse. I fail to see this as normal wear if my brakes are in such good condition. I feel that it is a poor design or material problem that needs to be corrected by chrysler and not the owner of the vehicle. I have viewed web sites that show many owners of 2003/2004 dodge 1500 with this same problem and the service tech stated the same thing.

Warped rotors on front brakes cause truck to violently shake when trying to stop truck.

I have had problems with the brake on my 2003 ram 1500, at 14000 miles had front calipers replaced, new front rotors and they turned the rear rotors. This was all because of warped rotors i now have 23000 miles on teh truck and will again be taking it in to have the rotor replaced. I can't believe that there are so many complaints filed and nothing has been done. Maybe we need to contact the media. I know that when more people start die from this problem the media will be all over it. Just like the tires problems on ford suv's. Please do some thing before it is to late.

Vehiclevibrated/shook when applying the brakes.vehicle was takento the dealer on several occasions, anddealer replaced front rotors and the calipers. Within 9,000 miles of wear the problem recurred.dealer was notified again, but refused to correct the problem becausewarranty expired.

Front oem rotors are too weak for the factory installed 20" wheels. I had to have my rotors turned at 13k miles because of uneven wear.

03 ram qc when i stop the whole truck shakes

Front brakes on 2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab developed major pulsation and decreased stopping ability at 6500 miles. Returned vehicle to dealer and was informed that the front rotors were indeed warped and replaced under warranty. Seems to be an all to common problem with the complaints seen on this site and beleive that the nhtsa should look very hard into these problems before someone gets seriously injured or killed. How many complaints does it take to get involved?after the new car warranty is up at 12k miles it will become the owners expense for these "wear items" and strongley urge nhtsa to investigate these sub-standard components and demand dodge to correct the problem and extend warranty period to at least 36,000 miles and prorate the difference for all subsequent brake jobs for existing new car purchasers based on what they publish for brake service mileage.

Unsafe condition of steering wheel shake and brake pedal pulsating because brakes are pulsating due toadvanced and premature rotor warpage.this truck has 18k miles, and was repaired previously (obviously ineffectively) for the same problem.

I got wind of the recall around dec 2013 & figured it didn't apply to my truck since i had spent close to $2000 rebuilding the front suspension with oem & after market parts. I finally received recall notice n62 at the end of jan 2014.i took my truck to my dealership & they confirmed my truck was indeed included in the recall since the parts i used were defective & being recalled. The service writer told me it would be at least another year or longer before the parts needed to repair my truck would arrive at the dealership.i asked what would happen if the tie rod ball stud failed at hwy speeds(i already knew the answer) & was told it wouldn't be pretty.if the part did fail i would lose all steering ability & more then likely end up in a vehicle accident.my truck weighs in at 8600 lbs + or -,unloaded, what ever i run into/hit if the tie rod ball stud failed would certainly cause injuries or death.what are we supposed to do?park our trucks until dodge/chrysler ships the parts in another year or so?most folks who own hd pickups use them to make a living & can't afford to have their truck parked for a couple days much less a year. Would be nice if owners of the trucks affected would be reimbursed by dodge/chrysler if we purchased aftermarket parts making our trucks safe to drive, rather then waiting to who knows when.i know that won't happen,

My truck all of the sudden when driving the night before was unable to turn to the right (very difficult..no proper steering to the right). To the left it was fine.it continued to have the problem when i tried driving again today.i took it to the dodge dealership today (next morning) and they told me the truck needed a new power steering pump, rack, & pinion.the vehicle is only 3 years old with just over 50,000 miles on it...it has been extremely well taken care of since purchasing it from dodge dealer last fall.this is the 2nd major repair in the last few months (i just had a rear seal or something like that replaced as well).as of right now the truck is still at the dealership until i decide what to do.they say it is not covered under any warranties for this issue or any recalls.it is very upsetting that this new of a vehicle have such major issues already.

Dt*:the contact stated at 60 mph the vehicle turned left and right without warning.the contact was able to drive the vehicle to the dealer where the steering gear was replaced. Updated 05/063/06.

Our 2003 dodge ram 1500 dash started cracking and caving in nearly a year ago. As time goes by cracks worsen as well as new cracks have appeared. Plastic dash pieces are falling behind (into) dash board and coming out sometimes in the floorboard. Concerned about air bag safety. Would have to replace entire dashboard in order for the problem to be fixed. Our daughter owns the same year dodge truck and hers is doing the same thing. Also, our steering wheel makes cracking, popping sound when turning. And the ball joints have been reported to be bad.

Has death wobble at 60mph hitting bumps in road.

2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 power steering rack began leaking at 35months/31,000 miles. Replaced by dealer, part not avail. No noticeable effect as fluid was kept up.began leaking again at 47months/36,000miles. Replaced again, part not avail. No noticeable effect as fluid was kept upbegan leaking again at 56 months/44,000 miles. Dealer isn't helping.

I have a 2003 dodge quad cab 1500 4x2 that i bought new and has only 71,000 original miles. I have noticed some noise and vibration coming from the steering and suspension coming from the front end. I've researched and found that chrysler/dodge has issued a recall (n49, n62 and nhtsa 13-v528) that does not include my vehicle but should be included after further inspections. The part in question is the left tie rod and steering linkage. New parts (cbuen491aa. Cbuen492aa) apparently are readily available prior to january 2014 but my truck has not been included in the recall and repair. Do i have to wait for the part to snap off causing injury and death to anyone especially members of my family before a recall is issued for this model year?we've been fortunate for now that nothing has happened but why does the consumer have to experience a loss first before the manufacturer takes honorable responsibility? another issue as previously reported by other truck owners is that the dash board deteriorates and cracks and materials fall into the air/defrost ducting. I hope for action soon rather than re-action after the fact and the prevention of loss to life or injuries.

My 2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab has a defect in the under dash control unit attached to the steering column. The defect has caused a short circuit that has caused several wires to burn. The defect is exactly the same as issue 03v078000 (recall for dodge ram 2002). This results in 1. Fan inoperable 2. Fan turns on after the key is removed and continues to run draining the battery 3. The wires burning is a potential fire hazard 4. Tilting the wheel results in sparking of the wiring assembly. My vehicle has manufactured in the us and some of the parts are only listed for 2002 models. When i purchased 2003 rotors, they did not fit but the 2002 rotors where an exact match. I believe my 2003 dodge truck is a 2002 in disguise.i called dodge to get answers and they have not called me back.

2003 1500 quad cab with a cracked dashboard.dodge has agreed to pay for part, but i have to pay for labor. $250.00. No way! $30,000 truck should hold up better. Dodge needs to do something about this problem.

Driver was using grab bar to pull self up into vehicle when the grab bar broke suddenly and pulled out of the vehicle without warning.this caused driver to fall and suffer a fractured hamate bone in the wrist and chronic shoulder pain.injuries require surgery and are not yet healed.

Dashboard just above airbag has a crack 1 inch from the front all the way to the rear. No accident ever in this vehicle, first owner.

Just found a cracked dash on the passenger side close to the air bag in my 2003 dodge ram.same thing happened to my 1999 ram and got worse.i am concerned this could be a safety problem with electronics and airbags.

I was getting into my pickup truck while in the process of leaving work to go home for day.i reached in and grab the grab handle located on the "a-pillar" and started to pull my self into my vehicle. The "a-pillar" grab handle broke, causing me to fall backward sticking my head on the drivers door and then the ground as i continued the fall to the ground.as a result of this fall i developed a subdural hematoma and almost died twice as a result of this defective part.both the drivers side "a-pillar" grab handle and "b-pillar" grab handle from the passenger side are in the hands of a forensic engineer who has determined that both parts were substandard.the passenger side was also cracked around hold down bolts and ready to fail. Pickup truck was a 2003 dodge quad cab 1500 4x4 on factory 20" tires.chrysler llc. Is well aware that this problem exists but has chosen to do nothing!in 2003 when motor trend tested the dodge quad cab for their " truck of year award" the part failed on motor trend magazine.there have been numerous serious injuries reported pertaining to these defective parts, but chrysler has decided that their bottom line was more important than their customers health.a recall needs to be made for these parts to stop these injuries.i ended up missing 3.5 months of work and my health insurance company ended up paying out over $350,000.00 for these injuries.i bought this truck in 2003 new and i did so in good faith.chrysler needs to act in good faith and replace these parts and protect their customers.

Plastic dashboard has cracked in two places leaving sharp uneven edges sticking up.i can't use the vehicle to transport my grandchildren because i fear they will touch the area and get cut.according to 3 employees of the local dodge dealer they are still using this defective part if it is replaced...sad!

Back in 2009 my dash one day just cracked....and has progressively gotten worse. I didn't know it was such a huge dodge again.

My 2003 ram 1500 quad cab driver side handle broke at just 36,500 miles and the service tech at the dealer the there in nothing they can do. That it was on my own. I only weight 150 lbs. And landed on my back on the street.if the dealer would just replace it i wouldn't be complaining.that is a really crappy material used to make this handles.ps:must of the plastics use on the interior of this trucks is crumbling down.

Severely cracked dashboard which poses a danger in the event of a collision requires attention and/or possible recall for repair. Vehicle less than ten years old showing damage, with proper maintenance and care.

Not sure what lead to the failure, but my 03 dodge ram pick up dash is crack from near windshield side to near the glove compartment on the other side it has not gotten to be dangerous yet or cause other failures yet that i know of. Dodge dealer said that since it is simply cosmetic they will not replace it and if they do it will cost over 1,000.00.

2003 dodge ram quad cab 2wd cracked dash from windsheild to middle of dash.

My wife was getting into my 2003 dodge 2500 ram pick-up using the grab bar located on the passenger side of the truck.grab bar is located on the interior of the a-pillar of the truck.grab bar failed.the grab bar on the driver side failed 4 years ago, so i use the steering whee to get into the truck.she fell out of the truck onto the pavement injuring her knees.upon inspection of the molded plastic grab bar.the failure occurred when the grab bar interior trim piece tearing at were the bolt interfaces with the trim piece.the bolts remained in the metal thread holes in the metal part of the a-pillar.the molded grab handle bolt to trim interface is not adequate to support any load.

8 inch crack on passenger side of dashboard in a 2003 dodge ram truck. Local news report done involving dodge truck dashboards collasping, falling in like a sinkhole.started with just cracks like on my dodge.

The dashboard on my 2003 dodge ram 1500 is cracked and continues to crack more and more each day. I am afraid that pieces that may fall inside the airbag compartment which may lead to serious injury if they become deployed. There have been several complaints about this with this particular model.

On march 23, 2003 i was in the process of getting in my 2003 dodge 1500 quad cab. The "a-pillar" with the grab handle on it came loose from the truck(the plastic cracked and went over the bolts holding it on.) i fell back and struck my head on the drivers door and then again struck my head on the ground.i suffered a subdural hematoma and was flown by helicopter to st. Louis for surgery. My family was told to tell me bye on two different occasions because e doctors thought i was going to die. I made it but ran up hugh medical and therapy bills.when researching this on the internet, i found that this grab handle failure has happened many times causing some injuries to major injuries.i also found out that chrysler has been aware of this problem in 2003. Motor trend magazine experience this same failure in 2003 when they were testing this vehicle. Dodge did nothing and when you've gone through what i have that just.

The dash in my 2003 dodge ram is cracked and crumbling. You can break off chunks with 2 fingers. Its that brittle. Now that i searched for the problem i have found many people that have the same problem.

The dash is falling apart. It began last summer and pieces are falling into the air conditioner vents.cheap material used for the dash board.

03 1500 ram quad cab wind noise driving on the highway the wind noise is so bad that you think there is a window down especially on the passenger side, i had to takethe truck back to the dealership numerous times they replaced weather striping on both sides but the vehicle still has a very bad wind noise on the right side. Dealer keeps saying (could not duplicate complaint) i am a retired mechanic and know better because i ride in the passenger seat when my wife drives and it will drive you crazy i know that the wind noise is not a normal condition you can look at the rear doors on both sides and see they need to be adjusted downbut it's out of factory warranty now but it was in it at the time of (complaint's) so i guess i will have to repair it myself. I have ridden in other trucks with quad cabs and they are so much quieter so what is the deal ! ( it takes 2 people in the vehicle to diagnose the complaint) you can hear it from the driver's seat but not as bad. Personally i think they only send 1 person when they try to diagnose the problem. So i guess ill have to dig out mt tool box and fix it properly myself. I am avery disgusted dodge quad cab 1500 owner!

My 2003 dodge ram quad cab, laramie dash started cracking and now has 3 cracks. I thought i was only one with this problem until today. One sight alone had 103 reports of the same cracks where they started and in the same order as how mine started. Dodge recognizes this as a defect but are not willing to recall. At this point it is customer satisfaction issue as well as safety issue. With the airbags installed in the dash, what happens if the cracks continue and cause an airbag to deploy without a crash. Is it going to take someone getting killed before the company recognizes they need to recall such as ford did several years ago with the defective tires, they waited until people died, i just do not understand why a company would represent themselves falsely, dodge promotes their products as quality and top of the line. I beg to differ, any assistance in this matter will help those families driving down the road in these unsafe vehicles.

2003 dodge ram 1500-cracked main dash panel.

Crack in passenger side dash, 7" long, windshield toward seat, in the low spot on top of dash and spreading. Sent dealer an email asking about any recalls, of course have not heard back from them.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge ram 1500 quad (na). The contact stated that when he rolled both rear windows down, the noise level was very high. The headlinger in the ceiling shook and caused the vehicle to shake as well. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that the vehicle was designed that way and it could not be repaired. The failure mileage was 32,962.

We bought a 2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab truck and the dash board has cracked in 6 different places and i talked with other people with the same problem so it's a factory defect dodge is at fault and should have to recall and fix the problem.

2003 dodge ram quad cab.....cracks in dashboard caused ac malfunction.pieces of dashboard blocked air damper door and burned out motor..cost $1100.00 out of my pocket to fix....

I have a 2003 dodge ram and the dash has 2 cracks in it.i am afraid that the cracks could somehow cause the air bags to deploy.

A crack in the dash on the passenger side near the windshield was noticed back in january but we are uncertain exactly how long it had been there. After several months, the crack aggressively spread through the dashboard. The vehicle had not sustained damage to cause the crack at any time. The dashboard has always been maintained with conditioners, and there were no other areas with problems.

Dash has several cracks in it.

The dashboard in my truck has multiple cracks and my daughter has been cut by one of the cracks it is unsafe and should be replaced by the dodgethe cracks are getting bigger every day and soon i will loose a large sectionof the dash.

My dashboard started cracking up and large shards of the plastic became airborne while driving the vehicle and struck me in the face . This is definitely a safety issue in my opinion and i have a $50000.00 driveway ornament as i do not feel safe driving the vehicle anymore.

Vehicle dash is coming apart in pieces.

2003 dodge ram 1500 quad-cab pickupproblem:cracked dashdash cracked shortly after warranty period expired.this problem seems to be prevalent in all dodge ram trucks of this vintage.

2003 dodge ram 1500, the dash started cracking in 2007. I figured it was due to the high heat in vegas, the cracks have continued and are getting bigger. Started looking into getting a replacement and came across thousands that have the same problem. This is my first and last product from this company. The paint has faded completely on the roof and hood. It is now fading on the doors and bed of the truck. I have also had problems with the brake system. But that's another long story.

2003 ram 1500 upper and lower dash is falling apart. I have taken care of this truck sense i purchased it off the lot. Chrysler should look into this because i know for a fact that it is happening on most of the trucks out there.

The dash is falling apart.it begin last summerand pieces are falling into the air conditioner vents and blocking the air flow and causing it to freeze up..i have had a piece fall under the accelerator and cause me to be unable to accelerate in interstate highway traffic.now a piece has fallen off causing the steering to jam.part of the dash has fallen on the wiring and i'm afraid it is going to catch fire.

The dashboard onthe2003 ram quad cab was cracked after i got in it to head home from work. The truck has 31000 miles, and has been babied from day one by me. Crack is definitely a design flaw, and was not caused by sun or environmental damage.

Dashboard has large cracks in it which have exposed wires and caused issues with the electrical system in my truck.

The dashboard and hvac systemhas cracked to pieces causing the defrosters to be inoperable most of the time and constantly blows pieces of plastic and foam out of the vents occasionally getting in the driver's eyes and nose causing sneezing and distracting irritation.

There is a entry grab handle mounted to the interior door post near the windshield intended as an assist handle.my truck is equipped with running board to make entry easier into the truck cab.i used the assist handle while getting into the truck cab, it pulled loose from the pillar causing me to nearly fall from the truck.i was able to gain my balance and step down from the running boards without doing any injury.i am of average height and weight appropriate.when i examined the handle i was shocked to see the only mounting involved was plastic with a bolt through it screwed to the door frame.this in no way should be classified as an appropriate assist handle to aid one in the entry of the vehicle.

I bought my 2003 dodge ram quad cab 1500 in january 2007 with about 38,000 miles on it. At the time the paint job on the truck was fine but starting around april or may the clear coat on the truck started to delaminate. I called up dodge and even went by my local dodge dealer to complain about the paint job but i was told because i'm not the original owner and that the trucks 3 year 36,000 mile warranty has run out no one will fix my truck. I've been told by my local dodge dealer that it is a factory problem with my paint but i'm out of luck when it comes to dodge repainting my truck.

A-pillar-mounted ingress handle on passenger side.i own a 2003 ram 1500 quad cab pickup.i bought this truck new in october 2003.today, i was trying to get in the truck through the passenger's side and stood up to to clean the windshield and the a-pillar-mounted ingress handle came off.this truck has 4x4 so it is taller then the regular truck. You have to use that handler to keep your balance.luckily ,i didn't get hurt because i used the seat and the door to avoide falling.i called the dealership, and unfortunatelly they won't be able to do anything to replace the a-pillar-mounted ingress handle because the truckwas out of warranty.the truck has over 60,000 miles and i've had it 36 months. My complaint was why don't they builld this handles stronger.their purpose was to help the persons get into the vehicles.shouldn't they be able to hold at least an average size person?

Dash and defroster grill shattered . Only 60,000 miles on truck this seems to be a factory default and should be replaced by dodge with better materials. I purchased this truck new with the 5 year extended warranty.

2003 dodge ram quad cab4x4 had vehicle towed and when tow truck driver hooked chains to frame rails to winch vehicle on to tow truck the chains ripped the steel out of the bottom of the frame do to the frame being rotted i have uploaded photos. This is a real safety concern do to the fact the frame is enclosed and there is no real warning or signs of the integrity of the remaining structure of the frame. It is in my opinion this needs to be addressed and frame should be recalled there are many other people with the same trucks even a lot newer than this one but same frame as mineand the same problem there is no reason other than poor engineering and prep of this frame i own many old pieces of equipment that are 30+ years older than thistruck and no rot issues like this wear and tear is one thing body rot ect is normal but this is a real safety issue that gives no warning many of these trucks drive down the road such as mine hauling equipment ect imagine 20k lbs driving down the road and the truck splits in half do to the internal frame rot how many people will die before this issue i'd recalled by chrysler? toyota did it to there trucks why shouldn't dodge please don't let dodge ignore this it could be someone in your family that gets seriously hurt or dies driving one of these trucks or from someone else driving one of these trucks. Fyi i had the pittman arm joint snap on my truck with out warning it was a scary moment when u lose steering i was lucky and didn't crash and no one got hurt .

While having new tires installed the mechanic and i heard sounds from under truck as if the lift was crushing a rusty muffler. Once the truck was up in the air it was discovered that the bottom side of the frame on the drivers side under the rear seat had rotted completely through. A cancer hole about 6" long by 1" was visible. The lift, positioned about 4" behind this hole had collapsed the frame under the weight of the elevated truck.

Has death wobble at 60mph hitting bumps in road.

The ball joint and axle failed, which caused the tire to separate from the vehicle.the ball joint and axle failed, which caused the tire to separate from the vehicle.puerto rico police report 03-6-004-00805.*mr

Problem with a vibration in the long wheel base truck.*mrwhile driving 70 mph the vehicle would vibrate.the consumer was told by three different repair facilities that daimler chrysler was working on a fix.

Vehiclewas pulling to the right. Consumer had the vehicle checked 3 times but the problem still existed.

I had bought my 2500 dodge ram back in june of 2003.i had owned the vehicle for about 5 months when i was on the expressway going 75mph and the truck started shaking violently out of control. I had to pull over to stop the vibrations. I brought it in to dodge and they said they couldn't replicate the problem and everything looked fine. I continued to drive the vehicle thinking this was a freak occurrence.then about 1 month ago i was once again driving aroun 60mph hit a bump and the vehivle started shaking out of control.this happened 5 times in three days( as i was driving a lot those days). I brought it in to dodge and they gave me a hard time, but ended up replacing the trackbar and steering stabilizer. They said they don't know if this will fix the problem or not. Now i feel that the car is unsafe to drive and have heard many other folks complaining about this shaking as well.

On 7-16-03 i was a restrained passenger in a dodge ram 1500 4x4 quad cab. We were returning from a short trip to the store. While driving on a perfectly straight dry road, with completely clear visibility at approx 3 pm afternoon with very light traffic we unexpectedly felt a hard bump, as if we had hit a pot hole. It was so hard i was thrown forward in my seat. The driver immediately yelled that the steering had locked. He was also trying desperately to hit the brakes, but they too were not working. The driver struggled with all his might to try and gain control of the vehicle, but wasn't able too. We drove directly into the lane of oncoming traffic. We then left the lane and proceeded into a parking area of a convenience store, where we struck a parked vehicle. After striking the parked vehicle we were redirected back into the lane of oncoming traffic. It was at that time we were struck head on by a semi truck. The semi drove completely over the passenger side of the dodge truck crushing me inside and rolling the semi. The police report states that the front passenger wheel was found several hundred yards away from the scene of the wreck. In the area we noted the initial bump. The vehicle was investigated and it was found the front passenger ball joint had been broken completely in half; however, the investigated stated that the damage was too severe to make a determination as to whether the ball joint failed before, or was broken during the collision.there was approximately 5 seconds between the failure to control the vehicle and the collision. Something failed on that vehicle rendering it uncontrollable. I do have the vehicle in my possession, and it is available for any further investigation. Dodge has shown no interest what so ever in investigating this possible mechanical failure. I will spend the rest of my life trying to recover from the injuries i incurred from this accident.

Driving down the road rear axle broke wheel off my 2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab, my husband and 4 year old son was also in truck, luckily no one was hurt in truck or when wheel fell off not hitting anyone on a busy intersection. Daimler chrysler has known about this problem since this happened, wouldnt give us a rental car saying it was our fault it broke accusing us of taking it 4 wheeling and abusing our truck. Our truck is our only transportation, and we bought it new for the fact of reliability and feel safe driving it with 3 children. After a long week of waiting and waiting to hear something they sent out a investigator to take pictures of damage which was finally done on the 11th of june, a week after this happen. Still no rental car, daimler said they will not pay for one. Was told daimler got the pictures that were taken on the 14th, and still was not reviewed. My husband is a truck driver and took a vacation which does not happen too often, and since school was coming to a end, we wanted to take the kids away to have a good time. Needless to say, our vacation was a very disappointing on. Daimler chrysler has accused us for making the axle break, i think it was their way of not wanting to take out of their pocket a vahicle for us to use. This is the 2nd week now still with no word on if our truck will be getting fixed, it is not even a year old to us with 12,000 miles on it, always been serviced where we bought the truck and daimler even didn't take their word with the damamge. My husband said he daimler made him feel like a criminal and we will not purchase another dodge or chrysler and will also tell others that, and with him being a truck driver he can tell alot of people not to buy their vehicles. It is totally is a shame that this company acts the way they do to people. I think dodge is really going down hill. I will never feel safe again in my dodge, especially when or if they ever get around to fixing this problem.

I purchased a new dodge 2003 ram 1500 quad cab truck in the end of march 2003. The truck when driven at highway speeds 55-75 mph created violent vibrations on concrete freeways. I went to the dealer and they told me that all the trucks they sell do the same thing and it was just road conditions. I filed a claim with dodge and they told me to resolve the problem with the dealership.i talked with the service manager (dale sponseller) at the dealership and he said that he felt the violent vibrations and was not happy with the ride of the truck, but that there was nothing that he could do to repair it. *nlm

I bought the 04 nissan maxima in december 2004, andin september . 2005 i took the car to have the tires rotated.i was informed by the local goodyear tire dealer that two of the tires had cracks in the sidewalls.because the car had only 10,000 miles goodyear replaced these two tires under the original warranty. Now,in 2007 with 40,000 miles on the car the other two original tires have sidewall cracks.of course goodyear will only give me credit for the wear left on the tires , and a new tire cost $300. We have decided for safety reasons wewere not going to replace these tires with the goodyear eagle size 245/45r18v. This seemedto be a similar problem as ford and firestone had with the explorer several years ago. Why has the public not been informed about the nissan/goodyear tire problem.my conclusion wasfewer of us own missing than fords.so, if the tires cause a couple of us to have wrecksthat wasjust the price of doing big business.

The dashboard is falling apart with sharp pieces falling inside under the dash which may cut wires or even the air bag. It is very brittle. It can be moving or stationary.

Cracked dashboard for no reason. Car was parked. Opened vehicle to find cracked dash.told by dealership not their problem.never had any vehicle ever do this before.have purchased dodges for years, but now will not purchase another if they don't own up to their obligations.

The windshield appears weak having many pock marks in it.this causes the windshield wipers to need to be replaced often. The dash is severely cracked and we are afraid that this is going to cause the air bag to rupture on the passenger side (besides the fact that it is coming apart).

While driving at different speeds over 30 and usually temps below 50, the engine light will come on and will immediately lose throttle. "dead pedal" sometimes the throttle will surge then drop off other times when slowing the trans (automatic) will start to chatter as if a manual,. I use a store purchased obd computer to reset. Get codes 2121, 2123 sometimes 0700. This sometimes takes 2-3 times to reset. Very unsafe and dangerous. This has been happening for years, numerous times, usually in winter at highway speeds. Sometimes at intersection while accelerating. Have been looking for solution for years!! see many others on net with same problem. Why isn't this fixed by dodge and or cummins. Again very unsafe!!

I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab with the 4.7 liter engine.it has approximately 94,000 miles on it.in the beginning of december (at about 90,000 miles), the throttle cable began sticking in cold weather (about 25f and below).my wife and i purchased the truck in september of 2003 when it had approximately 6,000 miles on it.i did not have any problems with the throttle cable until december of 2006.as the engine warmed up, the cable would stop sticking.on very cold mornings, even after the engine warmed up, the cable would start to stick while driving down the road.i would pull over to the side of the road and after a few minutes, the cable would free up.i replaced the throttle cable and have not had a problem with it since.i replaced the cable on 1/21/07.it has been very cold here lately and it has been working fine.this problem could cause increased braking distances or inability to stop the vehicle if the throttle is stuck at near wide open throttle.i do still have the throttle cable that i removed from the vehicle.

The factory equipped heating and defrosting system fails to regulate from dash board heat to the defrosters that directs the heat to the front windshield, thus causing the front windshield to fog up and in most cases of the winter months build up with ice to cause unsafe driving conditions. In not winter months where the weather is cool or rainy fog forms on the inside of the windshield blocking visibility.with the windows down or up the problem still exists. The accidents were loss of control of the vehicle due to the front windshield being frozen and not being able to seen through. On several occasions the vehicle headed into on coming traffic. The events leading to the failure would be normal daily driving. The failure occurs %100 of the time. At this time nothing has been done to correct the problem.

The dashboard and hvac systemhas cracked to pieces causing the defrosters to be inoperable most of the time and constantly blows pieces of plastic and foam out of the vents occasionally getting in the driver's eyes and nose causing sneezing and distracting irritation.

The windshield appears weak having many pock marks in it.this causes the windshield wipers to need to be replaced often. The dash is severely cracked and we are afraid that this is going to cause the air bag to rupture on the passenger side (besides the fact that it is coming apart).

Wipers do what they want to, no- off dont seatstop in middle of windshield

The blower does not switch from floor to dash or dash to defrost unless i mess with it and get lucky.

The air pressure coming out of the vents was minimal while driving and just above minimal when in park.this is an all the time situation.was told it could be a few things:blend door, circulation or vacuum issue.i started searching the issue online and found entire forums devoted to these issues.it was recommended that people file a complaint because it was agreed that a recall was or should be in order on that particular part or housing.

The blower does not switch from floor to dash or dash to defrost unless i mess with it and get lucky.

I have an 03 dodge ram 1500. The rotors have warped 4 different times.at 3,000; 8,000; 13,000 and 22,000.dealer will only turn them down and has not replaced them. From all of my research this is constantly occurring on all 1500 ram trucks with factory 20" wheels.dodge did not upgrade anything to compliment the larger wheels. The only cure has been for owners to replace them with after market rotors at their own expense.
