Wipers on my truck have a mind of their own they work completely random, sometimes not at all, sometimes stop while driving, intermittent sometimes goes full blast. This has been an ongoing issue for years with countless write ups and complaints online but no support from chrysler. It is a huge safety concern as you can lose visibility when they stop for no reason or dont turn on in heavy rain.

Preparing to turn left from us69 onto county road.left turn signal on.began the turn and a pickup began to pass on the left. He ran off of the left side of the highway at a highway speed.very nearly rolled.couldn't understand why he would pass as i was turning left. Later, a friend was following me and called me on me cell and asked if i knew my right blinker was flashing when i changed lanes to the left.pulled over to test.sometimes it would blink left. Other times it would go immediately to the right blinker.other times it will start left and switch to the right. Googling the problem, i find it is a problem with the multifunction switch and from the dodge diesel forums, been around for awhile and quite common.dodge evidently denies there is a problem.totally inconceivable that a part could fail and have the exact opposite thing happen than what was intended.if there have not been fatalities or injuries related to this, i would be surprised.maybe not even realized.here is a link to one of the forums and the first post form 08 is almost identical as what happened to me. Http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/dev/showthread.php?t=208543&highlight=turn+signal

When the engine is running the dash lights and high beam indicator will flicker on and off. They turn on very briefly and are not visible during the daylight , not sure if they're flickering or not.

Dt whenputtingthe vehicle into parkit will jump into reverse.on one occasion the vehicle rolled away, and over top on the consumer, across a street, and hit a parked vehicle.consumer had cuts and bruises on his knees from avoiding the rolling vehicle.on other occasions, couldnot get the key out of the ignition when it shifted into park. Did this intermittently. This has happened a dozen times.this happened around january 15, 2005. Had notcontacted the dealer. An engineering firmwas sending someone to look at vehicle.

On july 20, 2017family and i were riding in our meticulously maintained 2005ram 3500 at highway speed in the cape cod region of massachusetts. After an hour truck running great, outside temp 92 degrees. 30 seconds later we had a catastrophic event which put us on the side of the road.12 quarts of oil on the ground, flames under the hood, and a hole in block. Removed wife and daughter from vehicle, extinguished fire thanks to astate trooper, fire and police apparatus. Given this is my daily driver and a business vehicle i was forced to replace motor costing $18k. Cummins and chrysler inspected vehicle. Did not investigate cause. Refused copies of inspection reports. Cummins tied up vehicle for a month. Delayed repair and use as daily driver and critical business need.attached chrysler/cummins responses show negligence. Research has exposed latent defect whereby dodge application of cummins does not use adequate fuel filtration.results in over fueling of the injectors that melt or hydro lock pistons, overloading rods, destroying block, spilling of oil, resulting in fire.many on line examples of severely damaged engines well beforeb50 life of 350k miles. Repeated requests to addresssafety issue that could result in severe injury or death ignored. Personal engine inspection showed puddled fuel on cracked piston 3 and piston 4, indicating the hydro locked piston caused the rod and block failure. Refer to youtu link https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_bkdzxo6uno that demonstrates consequences of over fueling. Sudden failure on well maintained vehicle resulting in fire on highway warrants root cause investigation. Cause is likelyinadequate fuel filtration latent defect.7 microninstead of 3.there are no chrysler diagnostic tools or maintenance procedures to protect the customer. Latent defect liability is not limited by warranty period. Must address safety!

Exhaust manifold cracked along center causing exhaust to enter cab area unknown to driver until sickened later. After consulting with several parts suppliers and mechanics it was discovered that this is a common problem among these model years and chrysler corp. Has done nothing about the problem.

Experienced puff puff sound from underside of motor. Upon inspection one of the manifold bolts to the exhaust system was broken off. No accident/incidence caused this. Upon repair, mechanic found 3 and 4 gaskets on each port (to the exhaust system) not one gasket as it should be. The manifold had warped and bolt holes between the manifold ports and exhaust no longer lined up.since the manifold had never been touched before this, it was incorrectly installed and/or manufactured with multiple gaskets to force the bolts to incorrectly line with the exhaust. When heated the manifold then warped and the first bolt broke off. Upon contacting dodge customer care, they claimed the warranty had expired (basic if 5 yrs or 150,000 km) and since it was now 7yrs with only 120,000km they would not cover repair under warranty. Clearly a manufacturers defect. Customer care inquired why this had not been discovered earlier;their ignorant attitude reflected that they believed customers should check the bolts as often as they checked their oil!such an obvious manufacturer's defect should be covered by dodge, as it contradicts current vehicle emission regulations.

No physical harm was caused, but on my 2005 dodge p/u the a/c quit blowing cold, and started making a loud rumble, after checking on the internet, i noticed 100's of people blogging about the same problem, some people say they paid to have it fixed and it re occurs, evidently the door on the ac unit is falling off blocking cold air and causing the ac not to function as well, although no bodily harm has been caused it seems like this problem occurs more then not, dodge should be responsible.

I was passing a truck on the highway and when i pushed the throttle to the floor to kick in passing gear, the throttle stuck to the floor and would not release. I kept hitting the pedal but it would not release. I was lucky enough to have a semi clear road ahead of me or it would have been disastrous.i had it towed to a dealership and they could not locate the problem. I took it to a second dealership and was in contact with chrysler corp. And opened up a case, case # 18964704 and have been in contact with brandon but nothing has been resolved. This problem happened on sept. 16, 2009. I did an internet search and found listings of the same problem. I feel this is a serious problem and should be reported. I am looking at trading in the truck at this time because it is such a safety issue. I have only driven the truck 2 times since the incident. Once to the dealership and one time to work. Please help. Chrysler is not returning my phone calls anymore.

Safety issue - almost had an accident. Was turning left, blinker turned on to left, but right blinkers flashed!person behind me thought i was turning left and started passing on my right. The internet has so many complaint of the same issue. No word from dodge!!!! the may be looking into 2006, but not any other year!

When left turn signal is selected right one will flash on occasion. This has happened several times since i have owned the truck. I have owned the truck since new and all repairs have been done by one dealership.

Both mounting tabs on the driver's side tail light fixture broke allowing the entire housing to fall off on the interstate. It was dangling by the electrical pigtail.

I signal left with the turn signal but the right turn signal activates. It happens about 30% of the time. Gathering information to correct it now. From the boards it appears it is the multi-function switch.

I have a 2005 dodge ram. The turn signal started to signal opposite of the direction selected. Even though this is a common problem in this truck there is no safety recall and i had to pay $188.00 to fix it at the dealer.

Back up lights would only work when shifter held in reverse.eventually back up lights became inoperable.diagnosed by mechanic as switch failure.not replaced yet.

The contact owns a 2005 dodge ram 3500. The contact stated that when using his left turn signal it would activate the right turn signal instead and the failure also occurred when the right turn signal was used. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised him that the multi function switch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired for the multi function switch 3 times within 18 months. After the vehicle was repaired the failure recurred a forth time. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated that warranty had expired. The manufacturer was later contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

At 178,000 miles (approximately), the rear suspension strap rusted through and dropped the rear end of the diesel fuel tank to the pavement.the plastic tank was ground down by moving over the pavement at highway speeds, but i was able to recognize the issue by the unusual noise and thus stop the truck before the tank ruptured.potential hazards include fuel spill, smoke, fire, and vehicle stall while moving without the possibility of restart.fuel tank fixation to the vehicle should not rust through and fail during the lifetime of the vehicle.the fuel tank is within 2 inches of the driveshaft and within 18 inches of the exhaust system.

2005 dodge ram 3500 4x4 diesel 48re automatic trans # [xxx]. Truck is for personal use and has 117,000 miles on vehicle. Truck was driven to store and torque converter bolts and torque converter studs welded on converter sheared off causing torque converter to evacuate trans fluid all over underside of truck and all over tires and brakes. This did not cause any accidents but could have damaged property and would have caused bodily injury if occurred during daily commute on interstate. This incident has been the first for me with an exceptional repair bill due to the damage that this created to the trans and flywheel and torque converter. Dodge will not warranty any of this because of the mileage and dodge's bankruptcy. I have read various threads pertaining defective or weak torque converters and breaking of flywheels due to these issues but no recalls as of yet. The dodge dealer stated my truck was the second one this week with similar issues but they will not cover any of the damage to mine and must be paid out of pocket. There is definitely an issue with the weak parts being used on these veh that cause this problem because after market manufactures are producing different designed parts for this appl. This problem is the first for me but numerous trans shops have repaired the same symptoms for what i have found out. My repair bill for the faulty torque converter mounting bolts is over $2500.00 and increasing before my truck will be repaired less the money for towing and rental veh being needed. I have told the dealer i need all broken parts for my review and i am waiting for their reply. The dealership is being helpful but the have said that their hands are tied due to their bankruptcy and that if their was a recall that it would create a major panic with in the dodge name. I amcert. Dodge represents the 3500 ram i purchased to be a heavy duty tow vehicle capable of safely towing nearly 16000 lbs.upon my purchase i quickly discovered that they have removed the basic overdrive lock out feature found on most if not all vehicles in this class of automobile.the computer program and transmission controls will command this vehicle into overdrive regardless of terrain or load being towed or carried at the time.bottom line if you touch the gas while going down a grade pulling a 16000 lb trailer you will find yourself in overdrive lacking any way to bring the vehicle under control other than the brakes.plenty of complaints are available to be see at www.dieseltruckresource.comthis forum has several postings concerning 2005 tow haul mode.the discussions can be found in the 3rd generation drivetrain discussion board.

It displays that it is in reverse and it will not start due to this. Updated 12/18/06.

2005, dodge ram 1500 4x4 quad cab 5.7l,3.92 gearsintermittently stalled. I previously owned an almost identical 2003. It had a 4.7l/ 3.55 gears. So far the truck stalled twice while idling in front of the mailbox. Once while idling waiting on line to pick my child up from school. Once while idling waiting for money at an atm machine.

2005 dodge ram 3500 with cummins turbo diesel.this particular model has a "tow-haul" mode that will not lock the transmission out of overdrive.if you are descending a hill and you so much as touch the accelerator then the truck automatically shifts into overdrive and sends you speeding down the hill.the "tow-haul" mode also downshifts the transmission into second gear at 50+ mph and that can also spell disaster while descending a hill on a cold day.my fist experience with this was earlier in the week while traveling to tennessee. We had to tow our 8000 lb race trailer over mt. Eagle and encountered both situations while descending the hill.this is an extremely dangerous problem that needs to be addressed immediately.the 2004 model and the new 2006 models both have an overdrive "lockout" to keep this from happening and i'm not sure why it was neglected on the 2005 models.

Dt*: the contact stated while at a stop light the vehicle came out of gear.it was taken to the dealership however, they where unable to duplicate the problem.the vehicle was driven for a short amount of time before the problem occurred a second time.the vehicle was parked with a trailer behind it; the vehicle came out of gear once again and hit the trailer causing damage.the vehicle was then taken to the dealership where the rooster tail in the transmission was replaced.the vehicle was driven once again for a short amount of time before the problem happened.the vehicle was taken back a third time and the dealer was unable to duplicate the problem.the contact received a recall letter concerning the power train automatic transmission.the nhtsa campaign id # 05v462000.the manufacturer has been alerted.

I was utilizing my vehicle for a child safety installation class.during the class all three of the rear seating positions were utilized for installation of child safety seats.during installation, following the instructions outlined in my owners manual, all three rear seatbelt locking latch plates broke.i had this problem back in 2005 when i installed my daughter in her car seat in the right rear seating position.back in 2005, the right rear seatblet position was repaired under warranty.each of these times a small piece of plastic breaks off, resulting in the seatbelt latch plate no longer being able to lock.this feature is only utilized to lock the seatbelt during the installation of a child safety seat and had i not been some-what mechanically inclined, i might have not realized the seatbelt had been rendered inoperable for safe installation of a child safety seat.

You sent me a piece of crap.

Drivers side seat motor that holds the seat from moving- snapped- so when youy drive you go forward or backward and the truck has 80000 miles on it.

While traveling on the highway at 65 miles per hr if i hit a bump or the spaces on the road by overpasses( the space between the regular road and the overpass) the whole front-end of the truck vibrates to the extent that i loose control of the truck not being able to steer of slow down (using the breaks) due to the severe vibrations( i researchedthis and in my research they refer to this as the death wobble. I think that this is a problem that needs attention before people are killed due to this well known defect known by dodge as they have changed certain parts known to cause this so called death wobble. Please advise if anything can be done to remedy this dangerously deadly problem.

The abs control module on my 2005 dodge ram 3500 has failed. The failure was indicated by the barking brake light and abs light illuminating on the instrument panel, and the module motor continuing to run without applying the brakes. Turning the ignition off would not stop the module motor from running.my dealer does not have the module in stock and chrysler corp is backordered on the item.the dealer's mechanic said he had personally seen 5 or 6 of these failures. My concern is that this is a safety item, and an integral part of the brakes.1.) if the module is allowed to run continuously there may be a fire danger, or possibly a further degradation of the braking system.2.) the abs braking system is rendered inoperative.3.) if the module is disconnected to stop the motor, other systems are affected such as the speedometer, and data systems displayed on the over head.4.) since chrysler is back ordered on this safety item, this may indicate that there has been a rash of failures.the unit is manufactured by kelsey-hayes and has part numbers:p52121408adtjzbk1984k0584it also appears to be highly irresponsible on the part of chrysler not to have this item readily available for replacement.

Steering gear box explodes during service, cast iron gear box breaks while driving, loss of fluid no steering and no brakeshydroboost system.

My brake pedal in my dodge ram 3500 is loose. It actually moves left to right a couple inches. I feel it to be a major safety concern. Dodge claims its not a warranty covered item. And i would need to pay a few hundred dollars to fix it. Then they say there is about 100 people on the backorder list for this part.

Dt: the contactstated thatin 2005 dodge 1 ton truck the brake pedal will go completely to the floor.with the engine running.if it was depressed slightly harder than a normal stop, it will push completely down. Dealer, frontier motors, boonville mo, 660-882-8800, checkedvehicle and could found nothing they could identify as a cause.however, they checked other heavy pickups, 1 ton and 3/4 vehiclesnew and used that were on the lot and found 3 othershad the same problem, include one that was brand new. Although the truck seemed to stop normally the brakes have a different feel to them. Frontier motorscalled chrysler, and to date has gotten no response or support. Although the truck will stop normally at this time it would not pass the state vehicle safety inspection becausebrake pedalswill not go to the floor. This was a serious problem, and at this time it was being ignored.

Steering gear box explodes during service, cast iron gear box breaks while driving, loss of fluid no steering and no brakeshydroboost system.

Entering freeway from a stop light and hit a small bump send the truck into violent and uncontrollable shaking and loss of steering. Because it has happened before, this time i tried accelerating out of it but did not work. Finally i stopped at the solder of the highway without causing an accident. Since then i have received two recall notices from dodge, took the truck every time to the local dealer, reno dodge, and both times they said my truck is not effected by those recalls including today. Almost on a daily basis i hit bumps that almost put the truck in that "dance of death". Finally i did an internet search and found numerous accounts of the identical cases under comparable conditions. I wish i could sell my truck and get a new one but financially is completely out of the question. Sooner or later the same thing willhappen an i will hurt someone or myself of both. I hope you can help.

Hit a bump in the road and truck went into a death wobble...had to come to a complete stop to gain control again. It has happened three more times since then. I found a kit on the internet to strengthen the steering gear box and the tie rods but am about ready to be done with dodge. I only drive the truck now at 55 or below and won't let anyone ride with me. This is a real and persistent danger to myself and the people on the road with me. I am a fairly strong man (farmer and cattleman) and i could not control the truck. I paid a lot of money for this truck to haul my cattle and the dealer does not acknowledge any problem. Sorry for the anger but if this, and it does, endanger me my family or the other folks on the road i get really mad. Especially when the dealer says there is no problem...i'm going back in tomorrow and ask the owner of the dealership to drive it and then tell me that there is no problem. Again, i apologize for the rant but i am a totally disabled vietnam vet and this really pisses me off...

Driving along a smooth recently paved road with no bumps. In left lane driving and suddenly lose control of steering. The vehicle shakes violently and begins to veer to the left and steering is beyond my control. The vehicle goes over the median and crosses both oncoming lanes of traffic. Applying the brakes, the vehicle comes to a stop barely a foot before a concrete wall, coming to rest perpendicularly with the bed of the truck blocking the entire right oncoming lane.there was no warning to this happening. No rattling or otherwise to allow me to pull over and inspect the vehicle. This was sudden, and extremely dangerous. Considerations are what if this had happened at 50-60 mph on the highway? what if it had happened with oncoming traffic? what if there were pedestrians present?after inspection, it was determined that the ball joint and socket had worn to such a degree that the ball just slipped out while driving. So far great effort by the dealership and chrysler has been made to attempt to convince me that this is a natural occurrence and that there was nothing unusual about this happening. Also, they will not assume the cost for making the tie rod ends road-worthy again, which to them is $1,200.no warning signs. Is it the customer's responsibility to pay for not only an entirely new steering kit but any damages that may have come from the "natural accident" of the tie rod end suddenly and irreversibly popping out of its socket?since when has it been acceptable for a vehicle to be declared road-worthy and yet the sudden and unannounced failing of steering to come with no warnings? on dodge's flagship heavy-duty truck no less.the customer should be responsible for normal wear and tear, but i contend that this is by no means normal and dodge should cover me for the cost of putting in a safe steering linkage.

I just purchased a dodge ram 3500 4wd drw, from a dealership 200 miles away. On the way home i drove over a bridge on the highway and the truck went into a violent shake that was close to being uncontrollable. It did it 2 more times that night. Everytime i drive over 55mph and hit a bump it sets what is called the death wobble off. I have replaced steering stabilizer with a larger one, new track bar bushings, outer tie rod end, had the wheels and tires checked and balanced, and an alignment done. It has been to the dodge dealership, a big truck alignment shop, and a 4wheel drive shop. All of them said it checks out good but they know there is a problem. Everyone who has drove it comes back scared! this is a vehicle that could really cause a bad accident if not controlled or fixed. The dealers are aware of this problem and say it is a design flaw. Dodge needs to recall this problem before someone is injured or killed.

Driving pu @ 65 mph/highway. Exited to convenience store. When departing/heard clunk noise/steering did not respond. Discovered front end parts dropped to ground/totally disconnected, etc. Towed to certified front end repair facility. Shop recommended most parts be replaced with mopar hd parts kit because original factory parts not replaced are not compatible w/mopar hd replacement kit. One week later after emergency repair completed i received recall notice citing possible steering system failure. Made contact w/case manager/chrysler and submitted all receipts. Call back informed original equipment parts not covered only replacement parts replacing original faulty parts/by dealer only. Help! could have been much worse if failure had happened on hwy at high speed. Warning was just plain too late to go to dealer only.chrysler link for requesting all docs is faulty and only gave 7 day window allowing request. Recieved notification of part recall n62/nhtsa13v-528 in december 2013. Had vehicle inspected 01-06-2014 vehicle identified needed part changed.was told parts were not available at that time, only 2 parts per week being delivered. I was number 100 on list.

While driving at about 60 mph, i hit a minor bump in the roadway the steering wheel started shaking side to side and the truck started shaking violently. The only way it stopped was to reduce my speed, while i was in a merging express lane and i was in front of a semi truck with a full load. I had to put on flashers and drop speed to 30 mph to regain control of steering. I think this problem should be investigated as some one is going to get killed by this happening to them. There is some kind of front-end vibration or wobble that starts at about 40 mph through 44 mph. I can't detect it above that speed. It can be felt through the steering wheel. I have had the tires balanced and rebalanced. The vibration is not affected, and remains the same. I have read of a recall that addresses front-end steering problems regarding the left-front tie rod ball joint . I can't find if this applies to the condition on my truck, but it may be possible. I just want to go on record that this truck has a vibration condition in the front end that at this time is not diagnosed.

2005 dodge ram 3500 diesel crew cab short box truck. All front end components replaced at 90,000 kms using dodge parts, nothing is worn out. A two inch leveling kit has been installed. The front end has been shaking since i bought it at 90,000 kms,i have been chasing it for two years now, since then i have been to the dodge dealer on an apparent recall on the steering stabilzer,my truck did not meet the criteria, but i bought the parts anyway then added a adjustable track bar and a steering box stabilizer. It did help some ,but the shake is still there. In my opinion this is an engineering flaw and must be dealt with sooner than later. The wobble is triggered with a bump in the road at speeds between 80-120 kms,it shakes the steering so hard you have to hang on with both hands, brake and turn sharp left to right to get out of it.

On freeway going over expansion joints encountered four separate times severe steering wheel shaking and bouncing, i had to bring the truck to an almost complete stop to get it to quit! traveling at 75 mph and 60 on the freeway its some thing thats very unsafe to have happen.

A week before taking in my 2005 ram 2500 truck to have it looked at, i noticed that the steering had changed. When driving the truck at speeds above 45mph and you hit a slight bump in the road the truck shakes so violently you could be bounced right off the road if you don't slam on your brakes and get the truck under 25mph. Once under 25mph the truck stops shaking enough to control it and returns to normal. This has happened to me approximately 10 times from around 80000 miles to 83000 miles, so far.have had the truck checked by local dodge dealer and everything looks ok.have been told to replace traction bars under front end by other dodge truck owners. I believe this is a manufactures problem and they should be fixing the problem for free. Until that happens i guess i will have to fix it myself.

On 9-2-05, a daimler chrysler representative on their 1-800 line refused to assist in repairing the vehicle, or even provide the tow hooks that the vehicle is lacking.

Veh involved in minor accident. Rear window shattered into long shards of glass instead of small square pieces like safety glass usually break into.

Drivingdown highway car in front was slow when i passed car fan cut my wire on clutchfan engin light came on got home a few minites after look under hood seen wire was cut this is the 2nd time this happened in 2 days

Drivers side power lock actuator failure............seems to be a common problem

Dt: dodge ram with cummins diesel engine . The consumer was unableto decelerate when letting off of the throttle. Had one minor fender bender, and a near miss as a result of feeling as though the motor was still pulling.no repairs, but has been to dealer twice.contacted chrysler, who stated thiswas programmed into the computer to do this due to the automatic transmission which magnified the problem. Hadno plans to change this design.currently this is still a problem.

The contact owns a 2005 dodge ram 3500 diesel. The contact stated was attempting to park the vehicle 5 mph in a residential driveway. The vehicle was placed in park and then into drive when there was an abnormal acceleration. The contact depressed the brakes and shifted into reverse yet the vehicle continued to accelerate. The contact shifted into park and was able to stop the unintended acceleration yet the engine continued to exhibit an unusual increase in rpms. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnosis of the failure or repairs. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer where they would inspect the failure. The contact inquired with the manufacturer to have the vehicle towed to the dealer at their expense but they refused. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 86,161.

A massive amount of people in forums have encountered the same problem. When you start the vehicle it will idle pretty rough with black smoke. If and when you press the accelerator pedal it will continue to throttle up on its own. In park or driving! forum post: #1. While driving my 04 dodge 3500 cummins down the street, at a speed of around 45mph, all of a sudden it went to wide-open throttle. It completely caught me off guard and the first thing i did was hit the brake. It had very little effect on what was happening. In less than 1 block i was well over 70mph with the brake on in a 45mph zone. #2. I had the same exact thing happen, i was at 90 mph on a 40 mph road when i finally had to put it in neutral, the pedal had no effect on rpm as i coasted to a stop the engine sat pegged at the rev limiter, and stayed there until i shut the motor down. I did not have cruise control on or showing as ready to go into the cruise, ie cruise light on in the instrument panel. I had some codes, but not sure when. Fuel pressure too high and another i forget. It was scary with the family in the truck. Waited a few minutes trying to see that all connections were tight and they were, restarted and all was back to normal. 2 complaints of 1000's. I've been in the mechanical world for 50 years. Everything from motorcycles to heavy equipment and this one took me over a year to figure out. Generally, there are no codes thrown as in mine. The fuel pressure regulator malfunctions and forces pressure on the fuel rail. This feeds the injectors too much fuel and the computer will not default and shut down. I was traveling at 55mph with a 45-foot king pin trailer on my truck. Went to accelerate a bit and took off. At 75 mph, loaded (45000 lbs) i turned the ignition off. How many people has this killed and the possible reason was driver error?

Problems with continuous acceleration on 2005 dodge ram 2500 even after cruise control is disengaged.*mrprior to this incident the consumer had been driving with the cruise control on but not engaged due to braking.when the vehicle was turned off then turned back on the vehicle continued to accelerate.the vehicle was taken to the dealer but they were unable to locate the cause of the problem.

The contact owns a 2005 dodge ram 3500. The contact stated that the windshield wipers would intermittently malfunction. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer to be diagnosed. The manufacture was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 84,000.

The windshield wipers will stop and start working randomly.they will stop in the middle of the windshield and tend to only work when put in the fastest setting. Sometimes they stop working altogether and will just start working again randomly. I have two trucks same year/model with this exact same issue.

The windshield wipers will often stop on the intermittent or slower settings. This happens without warning and the wipers will stop midway across the windshield. The only way to get them started again is to switch the control to the fastest setting. The wipers occasionally turn themselves on after driving over bumps at highway speeds.

The wind shield wiper's would cycle more than once on the lower intermittent setting . Then it was all the time , now they may work or they may not ! they may cycle when there not on , or while i'm cleaning the wind shield , with the key out of the ignition ,there are a lot of dodge truck owners that are having the same issues . Class action if you ask me ! especially for the amount of money these rig's cost ! [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2005 dodge ram 3500. The stated that the blower motor failed. The contact inspected the vehicle himself and found that the blower motor wires were burned and caused the blower motor to fail. The contact stated that the blower motor wire and the ignition were all in the same harness. The vehicle was previously taken to an independent mechanic for the failure and the wires were replaced; however, the failure was not corrected. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000...updated 07/21/17

The windshield wiperswill periodically freeze, either they will not turn on when the switch is activated or they will stop in the middle of the windshield without the switch being adjusted. This has occurred approximately 10 times in the past 12 months.

On freeway going over expansion joints encountered four separate times severe steering wheel shaking and bouncing, i had to bring the truck to an almost complete stop to get it to quit! traveling at 75 mph and 60 on the freeway its some thing thats very unsafe to have happen.
