Vehicle failed to start due to battery failure.
At 19,000 mile the axle/alternator/ rotors were replaced once and alternator failed for the second time .
Alternator failed.
Problems with wiring under hood, resulting in head lights failing to work due to not getting any power/car occasionally failing to start.
The radiator fans are inoperative causing overheating problems.nlm

Metal strap securing fuel tank to vehicle rusted and broke; defect discovered before any crash/personal injury; contacted manufacturer's dealer for replacement part and was advisednone available now nor likely to be available in future; had to arrange for custom manufacture of replacement part.i still have part of the rusted strap.this part should have been made of a more durable material considering the function it serves; rusting issue compounded by the fact that a loose-fitting cover goes over the strap and same appears to trap water, promoting the rusting action.
The two front doors do not open from inside, have to roll down the window to open from outside the door.tt
Three out of four door handles failed,not allowing occupants to exit from the inside. Now, the electric power windows (4) failed to function, not rising when button is depressed.please describe details.

Passenger's side lap/shoulder belt overtightened, to get person out of seat strap opened from the window.

The contact owns a 1991 dodge monaco. The contact stated that the passive saftey restraint system malfunctioned and was not performing properly on both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 95v213000 (seat belts); however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 55,000.
The seat belt track and assemblies were replaced under recall 95v213 but not returned to working order, both front seat restraints continue to malfunction and are inoperable, additionally the work performed has caused multiple electrical malfunctions in the vehicle rendering many of its systems, including the a/c inoperative (attorney for client).nlm
The driver side seat belt retractor stopped working .tt
Abs brake failure, vehicle involved in frontal collision, impact 12:00 position, speed 20 mph, pedal went the floor and had extended stopping distance.
When applying the abs brakes on wet or dry pavement the abs system will lock up, causing the vehicle to stall.cause is unknown.

While driving and stepping on the brakes the engine increases the rpms,and the engine check light keeps coming on intermittently.the dealer finds this model has an electrical system that is a "nightmare." owner believes that chrysler has produced a product that has inherent electrical problems and no one is trained to repair them. *ml
While driving 60-70 mphwith the cruise control, the vehicle speeded up suddenly to 90 mph. The driver put on the brakes and they resisted. After the incident, the owner had to get new brake pads because they had worn.

When approaching a stop at 2 mph there was a clicking noise, and the accelerator pedal went to the floor without application and the vehicle took off. Dealer has inspected vehicle.
While driving the windows fog up for no apperent reason, and when defogger is activated it gets worse. Dealer has been contacted.
When the car is turned on mist comes from the vents without turning on the ventilation system. This causes the windows to fog up and creates poor visibility for driver. Dealer says heater core needs to be replaced.
Vehicle experiencing fumesentering inside of vehicle upon starting ,and steam buildup on front windshield. Consumer noticed a nhtsa recall #94v-006.00/ water:defroster, defogger: heatercore, water.believed vehicle have same symptom as recall. Contacted a dealer, but informed that vehicle was not part of recall. Can nhtsa provide information of what i need to do to get this problem corrected .

Windsheild wiper motor went out twice.tt
In inclement weatherwindshield wipers will become very slow until they completely stop, causing loss of visibility. ,dealer replaced 2 motors in wipers, defect is still occurring.
Windshield wipers are inoperative due to a defective relay switch. Driver cannot use the car in any type of inclement weather.
