While driving through arizona in my 2007 dodge magnum sxt one of the cooling fans disintegrated and damaged my radiator punching holes and causing coolant to begin rapidly leaking. After assessing the damage i was able to limp the car along to the next town where i waited for a friend to pick up a new radiator and drive 2 hours to our location where we changed it out in a parking lot. It was 107 degrees. 2 days later i purchased and installed the fan from the local dodge dealer. I returned home the next day and began researching the cause of this equipment failure. It turns out that chrysler released a recall "customer satisfaction notification l08 engine cooling fans" for 2006 thru 2008 model year vehicles with "severe duty engine cooling" systems with the sales code nms, xdl or xdk and built through april 29, 2008. My vehicle has the sales code nmcp and has been excluded from the recall. However my research reveals that there is no distinguishable difference in the fans part number from the years 2004 thru 2014. Contacting chrysler about this brought no results. I recommend establishing a record of these fan failure occurrences in vehicles that have other than the recall's stated sales codes, and that a new recall for all vehicles with this cooling fan system be released. The existing recall includes "sold to sales codes and/or are currently registered in warm climate states...". I live in a designated warm climate state according to the recall. We were fortunate that the blades didn't cut any high pressure hydraulic lines or other safety critical or fuel lines.

Gas fumes enter car when ac is on, engine is hot and when under harder acceleration . Putting windows down clears fumes. The car has done this since new and still does it. Driving the car on bypass car began shaking uncontrollably i went to hit brake it went all the way to floor.took to mechanic was told abs system failed. The light for abs also came on in car.

Car was in garage at home. I started the engine and was going to back out of garage but could not get shifter out of park. Had car towed to dodge dealer. Power train - "shift interlock latch" - vechile stuck in park - dodge will not permit our vechile to be covered by their "customer satisfaction notification k39 transmission shifter interlock lever." because even though it is the correct model and year, our vin number is not covered under this recall because it wasmanufactured in a different location. I say it is the same small plastic flimsy part known as the "shifter interlock lever "that broke. Just as in these other vehicles covered by this recall.dear nhtsa, please make this chrysler recall k39 "transmission shifter interlock lever" to cover "all"2005-2009 model dodge charger, magnum, chrysler 300 equipped with a floor shifter.

Vehicle automatic transmission shifter is "stuck in park".this leaves the driver stranded at a location.this is a very common problem with dodge and chrysler 2007 vehicles. (also, circa 2007)a recall was issued for the shifter interlock "pink thing" but only for certain vins.mine has the same part, but not covered by the recall. If you look on the internet at "dodge stuck in park" you will see how many people like me are in this same predicament.i am old and have medical problems for which i don't need to be stranded or may need the vehicle to get to a doctor, etc.chrysler dodge should issue a recall for the rest of these "stuck in park issues". Thanks!

When driving on a m-39 southfield freeway in michigan on 09sep14, when applying part throttle input, and during a 1-2 shift or 2-3 shift, and during the shift remove my foot from the throttle the vehicle would then stall and the engine would shut off. This happen twice during the course of the trip and both occurrences happen when the vehicle was on a slight grade going up hill and the vehicle was loaded with one driver and some items.the vehicle was typically in the speed range between 18 miles per hour and 22 miles per hour. The vehicle is running calibration id 04896403al.

I own a 2007 dodge magnum.my complaint is about the gear shifter on dodge vehicles.the shifter sticks in the park position and has to be replaced at owners cost . My understanding this is an ongoing problem with this company's vehicles. I spoke with an employee with the dealership i have my car repaired, he made a statement thatthey have to repair about 10 a week. If this is an ongoing problem, do you not think thecar company should be responsible in replacing the part that is malfunctioning ??

Car would not shift out of park.plastic retainer inside the shifter assembly was broken.removed shifter assembly and disassembled.replaced broken plastic part with new metal part, reassembled and reinstalled shifter and verified operation. The local dodge dealer consumer the consumer the vehicle a very low compression in cylinder #5 and recommended having a valve job, as well as replacing the water pump and timing belt, at a cost of $3,500. First instance, while slowing down for a stop light felt a shudder and engine shut off, all other systems appeared normal. Coasted to stop, engine restarted without trouble. Near full tank of fuel.second instance, while in a parking lot shifting from park to reverse engine shut off, all other systems appeared normal and engine restarted without trouble. Filled fuel tank the previous day, 3/4 tank today.has happened on other occasions while driving at slow speeds but i do not remember the quantity of fuel, each time that car has restarted without instance and each time everything else appeared normal. The engine always seems to run properly and all of the cars other systems seem to operate normally.

Got in car to leave this morning, car started fine......but stuck in park.called carmax where i purchased the vehicle and was told it was on a possible recall list and that this is a well known problem with the dodge magnum.that gentleman suggested i call a dodge dealership.that gentleman told me it was a known problem but my car is not on a recall list and to have it fixed was gonna cost around $800.got online found this site, the woman updated my personal info so i would be contacted about future recalls and told me that there is a open recall for the problem i am experiencing but my car is not included????..... So i am here to complain.i do not have the money to have my car fixed, i have two young boys.one with autism........i need my car!!!!plz consider adding my car to recall list asap.

On friday, july 1, 2011, my 2007 dodge magnum was stuck in park.the car would start and the motor was running, but i could not get the gear shifter to move out of park.i had to have the magnum towed to the dealership to have it repaired.the dealership performed a diagnosis on tuesday, july 5, 2011, and called to inform my husband of the problem.............found internal shifter failure adn replaced shifter assembly, and the cost of repairs was $391.51.

2007 dodge magnum transmission would not shift out of park. Aaa informed me this is an everyday occurrence with them. Repair for a small plastic replacement piece over $400. Dodge will not recall, why should they when they are able to get away with charging over $400 for this simple repair. Dodge would be foolish to recall when they are making over $400 for this repair.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge magnum. The contact started the ignition and the gear selector would not shift from the park position. There was a recall associated with nhtsa campaign id number 08v583000 (power train: automatic transmission: lever and linkage: column shift). The repair did not remedy the failure.his vehicle identification number was excluded from recall campaign id number: 06v341000 (power train:automatic transmission).the failure and current mileages were under 54,000.updated 02/01/10

Drove the ostore, put the car in park as usual. When i left the store and tried to shift into reverse but the shifter would not move. I called dodge only to be told its not covered. I told them i was aware of how common this problem is and they told me too bad- its not under a recall so its your problem! i found over 300 similar cases online - how can it not be a recall!!

Automatic transmission shifter locked in park and would not move. Vehicle had to be towed to shop.extended warranty company denied claim, saying that this was not part of the transmission. The dealer charged me $500.00 to replace the shifter. Dodge agreed to pay half, but i believe that this is an ongoing condition of these vehicles that the manufacturer should pay for the fix and not offer me half.

I could not shift the automatic transmission out of park. When the tow truck operator showed up he already had the tools out to release the shifter. He said this is a very common problem with chrysler vehicles. Going online i have found this to be true. There apparently is a small plastic piece that holds a spring that breaks.

Car will not shift out of park, and the btsi override button does not release it from park. A small pink piece called a shifter interlock oe part# 4578029ac broke. Went to the dealer $172 for the entire shifter (they do not sell the $30 plastic shifter interlock)$187 -2 hours of labor to install. (warranty does not cover this).

When i put the driver seat belt on i'm unable to unbuckle or unsnap the seatbelt. I have to slide out from underneath it to get outand the sensor keeps going off now. This is a safety hazard and very dangerous

At gas station pumped gas turned car on go ling approximately 5mph hit brake to stop before crossing street brakes failed went completely to floor had to slam into pole to prevent from going into on coming traffic.

Driving the car on bypass car began shaking uncontrollably i went to hit brake it went all the way to floor.took to mechanic was told abs system failed. The light for abs also came on in car.

Front brakes and rotors shaking when braking. Rotors warped and pads were cracked at about 15,000 miles.the car now has 50,000 miles on it and have replaced the brakes and rotors four times. The last time i used top of the line drilled and slotted rotors and red ceramic pads hoping that would solve the problem.. They lasted a little longer but eventually the same outcome.

I've been experiencing failures with the steering angle sensor (code c121a) intermittently for over a month.in doing research with other owners of the lx series vehicles (charger, magnum, 300) and jeep vehicles equipped with the sensor it seems that this part commonly fails, often for an undetermined reason.explanations vary between chafing and friction causing plastic chips to obscure the electro-optical sensor, to chafing or bad wiring harnesses.the inability of this sensor to initialize results in a lack of electronic stability control which could contribute to a crash.this problem is well documented and discussed on multiple online vehicle forums such as 300cforums.com, jeepsunlimited.com, lxforums.com, jk-forum.com, dodgeforum.com and a litany of other websites.some even have threads discussing the possibility of recalls and service advisors telling customers it is a "common" problem, however daimler-chrysler has not seen fit to take any corrective action or issue a recall, nor are there any tsbs that i could locate.

My 2007 magnum has 48k miles and recently had the engine light come on showing code 1004. Research online shows this code to be very prevalent with this model of dodge, yet they claim it is not an issue, and are asking $1300+ for replacement/parts for the intake and short-runner actuators. As well, my sunroof track failed and the sunroof will not move. Both the guide attached to the glass and the sunroof assembly both have broken plastic parts.

Since i had my 07 magnum i have had suspension problem'sfrom tie rod ,to bracket arm ,to now a tension strut, and some other to many to name. I went to the dealer to ask what's the deal with the suspension on the car he stated that's the main problem with them car's.

"takata recall" i'm having trouble with my transmission. It goes from 1st to 3rd while driving. It stays in high gear until i bring the car to a complete stop and turn it off

Car was in garage at home. I started the engine and was going to back out of garage but could not get shifter out of park. Had car towed to dodge dealer. Service rep said he's seen other magnums, 300's and chargers with the same problem. $510.00 later the car was fixed...entire shifter ass'y was replaced and car runs fine now. The common issues of many 2007 dodge magnum vehicles is that my shifter will not shift out of the park position, the spring was poorly made and the job cost at a local dodge place $280. This issue has occurred with several dodge owners and its outrageous that it not not considered a recall on my vehicle. My vehicle was parked on a side street and after work i went into my car to drive home and the shifter would not move.

Vehical stalls while driving. Can happen at any speed. Has happened several times and could happen at a time when a serious accident could happen. The dealer claims no knowledge of such things and advised that it was bad fuel pumps. The replaced them at a cost of about $1,200.00 and that did not fix the problem. I beleive that after my research it is the tipm module. Dealer has refused to repay me and i am afraid to let my wife drive the car as it is a intermittent problem.
