I was involved on a accident on july 6, 2020 as i was crossing the interstation i was struck by another minivan on the driver side near frontal area. The impact of theaccident had totaledmy van as well as the other van. But my airbags near deployed i hit my head on the side of the door, i hurt my neck and my back pretty bad. I have a knot on my pelvis bone that hurt very bad, i have bruising on my legs as well as the knot that's on my pelvis bone.*dt*dt

7/21/2020 - driving through a left turn on a main road and lost all electric- steering, brakes, dashboard. Coasted to the left turn lane. Applied pressure to brakes, but was still rolling. Had to throw it into park to stop an accident from happening. Turned van off and restarted van. Drove to the gas station across the street and had it towed. I had five children in my van, this major safety malfunction could have killed all of us.dealership had the van for 10 days and claimed one possibility was winter gas still available at gas stations combined with warm weather. Offered no solution other than to pick up my van. I have had this happen to my other dodge grand caravan multiple times until i finally felt like i couldn't chance my life anymore and turned it in. This is a well known, documented dodge issue!! the service agent ignored my requests to look into it. No code shows for this issue and it didn't happen during their drive, so there is nothing they can do. They are selling death traps. Additionally, when i pump gas and my tank is already over a half of tank, the sensor reads full and the handle clicks off.
Fire started under dash in wires .could have killed passengers. Only 700 miles outa warranty and dodge won't even call us back.
Passenger side sliding door no longer locks without locking it by hand. My children can open the door while we are driving because it doesn't lock unless i reach over and lock it by hand. I have to unlocked it as well by hand to get the kids out. To use that door, i have to unlock the front door, reach back and unlock the door.

The child protection lock system no longer functions on my 2019 dodge grand caravan due to the sliding door lock actuator malfunctioning. We only discovered the problem by accident when my wife was able to open the passenger side sliding door before i unlocked the vehicle. While speaking with the manufacturer on 11/5/2020, i was told there was no recall being issued even though there are many instances of this problem occurring in similar vehicles. I am greatly concerned that parents are driving around thinking the child protection lock is active when a child can open the sliding door at any time, even while the vehicle is in motion. I cannot get a photo that shows this problem, so there is no documentation.

The passenger sliding door no longer locks. The locking mechanism is stuck in the unlock position. The vehicle cannot be secured 😫. Before the lock stopped working it made a buzzing sound a couple of times and stopped working. I just realized this when my daughter opened the door without me opening the driver's door first. It was stationary the first time then the second time it buzzed the van was jn motion on a city street.
P0302 causing a cylinder 2 misfire. Seems like a very common problem for this van. Still under warranty. Happens when idling in drive in a drive through or stopped at a red light. On three separate occasions the engine has stalled while idling. The van needs to be placed into park, the ignition turned off, and then turned back on. No check engine lights or warns of the vehicle having any issues.

I stepped out of the rental vehicle, 2019 dodge caravan, and lifted the lever of the right captain seat to let my child in the third row out. The chair snapped forward with tremendous amount of force. While i was pulling the lever with my left hand my right hand was placed on the seat back. The force pulled my hand in and up and pinched my finger in the hinge of the then folded head rest. My right pinkie was sliced and almost severed off. It required 4 stitches and could have a possible fracture. The vehicle was stationary at the time.
We rented this caravan while on vacation in destin. On our way to return it, this past monday,i was sitting on the driver side second row seat. I wanted to recline my seat a bit ,so i reached my left hand down to pull the lever at the bottom door side of the seat. Instead of that being where a recliing lever would normally be, it was the lever for flipping the entire seat up and snapping down the headrest. It forced me into a forward folded position with great force,then the headrest snapped down on my neck. I was diagnosed with extreme whiplash and torn muscles. Im having migraines due to the injury and pain in my head, neck, shoulders and back. My concern is that if a child would have done the same thing it may have seriously injured them or even killed them. This is a very bad design and needs to be reconfigured.
The car was parked in the driveway.i was sitting on the driver side middle seat, not sitting back, as the seat was reclined too far for me to sit with my back against the back of the seat.when i was trying to bring the seat back forward from the leaned back position, the head rest came down and slammed into my neck it's as if the mechanism thought the seat were going to be stowed into the floor.i have been suffering from a massive headache since this happened.i will be going to my doctor when i return home, to see if there is any serious injury.there was nothing conclusive in the diagnosis.this needs to be addressed, as it could cause severe injury.

While traveling around 30mph, brakes were applied in a "panic stop" fashion - fast hard depression. The road was straight, clean and dry.visibility was excellent and the view was clear for about a half mile.when the brakes were applied it felt as though the abs system interfered with braking, causing no actual force to be applied to the brakes.no deceleration was felt by the driver, or any of the other two passengers. Although the brake pedal was fully depressed, the van continued at a speed of about 35mph for an additional 70-80 feet without slowing, and was stopped only by the vehicle it eventually struck. Distinctive injuries on the driver's leg created by the debris of the dash panel also reflect that the leg and foot were aligned with the brake pedal and not "elsewhere".although this model has a safety recall regarding "surface coating" affecting the braking ability, this vin was not implicated.also, this incident did not appear to involve "reduced" braking ability.there was no braking. Other causes are possible, but the best way to describe the behavior of the braking system behaved would be to describe itas though the abs had disengaged all braking abilities so that the pedal had some feedback to the driver, but no discernible effect on slowing the vehicle.it was as though the abs somehow turned the brakes off.consumer stated this was a rental vehicle. My understanding is that the vehicle did not have any specific warranty service *and* that the warranty service was not indicated for this particular vin for the only 'braking issue' that seems to affect this make/model.

I had an accident yesterday when trying to park the car accelerated to the point that i hit a garage door damaging the car inside, all while my foot was on the brake pedal pressing very hard. When i put the car in reverse while my foot was on the brake the car shoot back at tremendous speed, it would not stoped regardless of my foot pressing on the brake as far as the brake goes. I hit a car parked on the street with such force that pushed it on top of the sidewalk causing extensive damage. I,was,,traveling up 38th street in union city and in the process of parking a my friend's driveway, turning from the street while applying the brakes lightly. I believe the problem is on the accelerator, it acceleratedm on its own when i attempted to stop. The car is right now at a shop, they will run a diagnostic and send an estimate of the body damage.i have contacted my insurance company for them to have the car mechanical functions.probably a broken axel on the rear wheels.

I was told labor and part nearly $500.i feel they should fix free cause it is a danger to people with disavantages.
The passenger rear slidingdoor will not open with the keyfob. You have to manually lock andunlock. When you hit the door button on the keyfob it will unlock the rest of the doors but not open the door. If the rest of the doors are unlocked and you grab the sliding door it will set off the alarm. If it is locked it will not unlock and open with the button on the roof until manually unlocked.
This vehicle had damage to the driver side sliding door which led me to believe that the door was off track and not working properly. This is not the first vehicle that i've had with this company that has not been rolled worthy.

The brake pedal more than 2 inches closer to the driver making it very likely to get your foot stuck under the brake pedal when moving your foot from accellerator pedal to brake pedal. Now you have to pull your leg back and up hitting the steering wheel in the process.attached picture is with accellerator in idle position.

Went to open back right window it made a loud shatter sound, freaked me out ..luckily i was not driving. I was parked in my driveway. Dodge fcc did pay for dodge company to look at issue and give their view. I paid juneau glass to fix it for 384.00 have not been reimbursed for that yet.
I bought this car from dealer of tim dahle and i could not find the spare tire when i checked it. The salesman told me dodge grand caravan does not have spare tire. When i waiting for financial process to pay for it, i checked youtube and found the position of spare tire. So, i asked the salesman to help me checking if this care has spare tire or not. They did not inform me until i completed all process to purchase it. I was told that this car does not have spare tire and this trim (sxt) of grand caravan does not have spare tire. They said only the trim of gt have spare tire. However, that is not the truth and i have bought it before i know the defect of this car. I am not sure if dept. Of transportation is the correct place i file my complaint. But i think there are 2 things i should complain. First, i was not given the correct description of the car's potential risk without a spare tire. The salesman tried to hide the fact about the spare tire, though i asked them to check it for me. Second, all the reports the dealership shown to me did not include the issue of spare tire until i found it. However, the salesman still tried to hide this issue. They explain that the spare tire does not have use in most of time, but i believe it is very important in self-repairing of tire issues, especially in long-distance travelling.
