False deployment of air bag causing consumer to hit curb (minor crash with no damage).
Consumer was traveling about 25mph on highway and without prior warning another vehicle veered into consumer's vehicle.upon impact, airbags did not deploy.dealership was aware of problem.while consumer was trying to turn, the wheel locked and a hit pole and building. During the accident the air bag failed to deploy and the consumer had face and chest injuries.
No deployment of driver's air bag during a frontal crash at 45 mph.

Defect in computer causes computer to send "turn off alarm " message to driver; however vehicle is not equipped with alarm system.
Vehicle would constantly shutdown while driving without warning, dealer hasreplaced computer command control module,but problem is still occurring. Consumer stated the starter, fuel injector, fuel pump, fuel filter coil pack, map sensor, and catalytic converter have all been replaced.
The vehicle will start and while driving it will cut off without any warning.dealer replaced the computer chip number of times and vehicle still has the same problem.
Computer designed to allow installation of anti-theft alarm, however this feature causes premature failure of computer.*aw
Car would not start because computer went into security mode (while parked), shutting off fuel supply, although car is not equipped with electronic security system. Computer had to be replaced with an o.e.m. Computer designed to prevent such random occurrances, at my expense of over $500 plus towing charge and inconvenience.

Purchased said vehicle in sept. 2006 used. Was just driving at posted speed limits in a community area of phoenix, when all of a sudden a loud clacking noise started as i pulled up to my designation, so i turned off the motor, lifted the hood and immediately noticed that the tension pulley had nearly completely came off the motor.it did cause the serpintine belt to come off of all the pullies of the motor.i had to have the vehicle towed home, again for the second time since sept. 2006.hen the vehicle was at my home i finished removing the pulley thatwas loose,causing it to bentenough to throw it totally off of its tension purpose.upon removal a bolt was also broken which may have caused the total problem because it was not tightened to torque specs.had to replace both parts attached to this pulley.
Exhaust converter failed.
I smelled a strong order of gas when driving, when i checked under the hood there was a constant dripping fro the fuel rail supplying the fuel injectors...first , it was a small dripping on the front valve cover and after 2-3 months its a strong continuous dripping filling up the valve cover spilling into the manifold area. I have restricted driving my car to 5-7 miles at a time to prevent possible fires.my mechanic called the dealership to see how much they cost and this u-shaped aluminum tubing about14" long ,8" connecting tube where it is leaking from to another piece of aluminum 14" tubing that goes underneath the manifold is $300.00 and $150 to install it. I think it is a factory defect that the manufacturing dealer is gouging almost punishing them for needing the part by charging 3xs what the piping/tubing really should cost. My mechanic and i have been all over the web looking for the same part but all of them say its a discontinued parts and can only be bought by the dealership. What a rip off they know its a factory defect and in high demand but they are not making anymore than that want to make to keep the demand high and to make a big profit on a design mistake in their fuel system design that they sold to the public.they probably knew it was a defective design but pushed it through anyway.
Gas rail sits on top of engine (passenger side), at first i just smelled a whiff of gas occasionally, then the smell became stonger, gas was coming out of the gas rail, at times even squirting a small stream, gas was falling on hot, electrical engine components on top of engine, the running down the side.
The fuel rail that delivers fuel from the gas tank to the fuel injectors failed.

While two months pregnant, my wife noticed a gas odor coming from around the car while she drove to work.she initially assumed it was coming from another vehicle.when i picked her up at work the next day i also noticed the smell of gasoline.when i opened the hood of the car, i noticed a puddle of gas sitting on the top of the engine below the u-shaped fuel track.i didn't drive the car after that discovery for fear that the engine area would ignite.when i contacted a local dealer, they stated that a similar flaw in the fuel track had been recalled on other vehicles for similar reasons.i contacted chrysler only hoping to be reimbursed for the defective part.chrysler's response was that since the vehicle was no longer under warranty, they were not concerned.i'm really only doing this to avoid someone else from being injured by the defective fuel track that leaks and leaves a large puddle of gasoline on top of the engine.

The fuel rail leaks like a dripping faucet.this is an item that is on recall for the dodge intrepid.is this the sme part which was recalled on the intrrepid?one dodge dealer parts department said there is a national backorder on this part, and will be at least 2 weeks before one may be available.another said this part almost never goes bad, so they never stock it.it seems that a recalled part should be in sufficient supply for the recall and other customers.is this a common problem with the dynasty too? additionally, the charge for the fuel rail alone is nearly $300.00.is this a fair price?this price does not include installation.dodge recall information line has told me that there are absolutely no recalls on my vehicle.they have my correct name & address, and i have never received a recall notice. Vehicle was leaking fuel from fuel injection tube. When consumer started vehicle fuel started pouring out.also,had strong odor of gasoline.contacted dealer, and dealer stated no recalls, and to call nhtsa.

1991 dodge dynasty, 3.3l engine.fuel rail leaking, at crossover tube connection. Fuel leaking down onto vavle cover, which then leaked onto hot exhaust manifold. Minor fire, but thank god i was in my driveway when i smelled the fuel. Opening the hood revealed the small fire that started. The dodge dealer wants 300.00 for the part, and i feel chrysler should pay for this part since it is not a "wear" item, nor is it a moving part, or in a location prone to wear. Had my wife or myself been driving and the fire occured, this could have been a very dangerous situation, and i would have considered a law suit. Any help you can provide me would be great. If you can provide a complaint number to call for chrysler, i will do so. I feel they should at least pay for the part. Vehicle is currently parked, as i cannot locate a used replacement. This is creating a major headache, as we need 2 vehicles, and cannot afford to replace the dynasty at this time, nor can we afford (or justify) 300+ for the repair.thank you.
Leakage of fuel at the fuel rail connections, above the valve covers, which drains onto the manifold and could start a fire. I am told it will cost over $700 to replace the parts which cannot be bought anywhere else.

The mechanic stated that he had 6 1991-1993 dodge dynasty 3.3 liter engine, multiport fuel injection system with a defective problem involving the fuel rail in the o rings which shrinks and expands, causing a crack,resulting ina fuel leak, which may start a fire.manufacturer is on national back order for the fuel rail.please provide further information.
Purchased vehicle used oct. 2006. Near mint condition.power everything & everything functions perfect.vehicle emissions perfect.approx. 4 days after final registration was switched, plated, & insured, i hopped onto the freeway, doing about 65 mph. When suddenly in a matter of seconds, i was totally overwhelmed by the smell of gas. I became seriously nauseous and light headed and had to immediately exit the freeway to find somewhere to pull over as fast as i possible could without causing an accident or more serious a fatality.once,i managed to pullover i pulled the hood latch, jumped out to get a breath of fresh air, i popped the hood to try tosee where this gas was coming from. All i could see was gas spaying out all over the place, in massive amounts just like a high pressure hose at a car wash. 1\4 tank leaked out all over the top of the engine & all over the intake manifold of my car.i thanked god, that the engine was not hot enough to ignite the whole car,with me inside.after getting the vehicle towed home, we found out it was the fuel rail feeder that distributes gas to the fuel injectors.the after researching other dodge vehicles i found out there was an undocumented recall for this part,this car year, make and model when it first came out, and that chrysler/dodge continued to install this same part on other years, makes & models &daimler chrysler/ dodge was, very well aware of this.last year they grossed $16.63 million dollars in 2005with $1.5 million in losses & they can't afford to repair this for $700.00 just makes my stomach turn. Now knowing that i could have been killed or could have possibly caused a serious or even fatal injury to someone else, because of daimler chrysler's neglect in admitting this is a defective manufactured part, and them taking full responsibility for this is outrageously unbelievable to say the least.
The fuel rail is leaking from two spots. This was discovered by a mechanic after owner took vehicle to shop for heavy gas fumes. The vehicle is being held at the body shop for repairs. The part is on back order. Please provide any further information.

Fuel rail was replaced once in oct. 1991. It developed holes and leaked fuel on the engine. Vehicle has been at repair shop for (2) months because owner could not obtain a fuel rail. Part is on back order.

Transmission (possibly malfunction in computer or solenoid). 2 yrs ago advanced transmissionput in a 604 rebuilt transmission and torque converter. The problem has continued to exist. Most days the transmission shifts fine. Other days the transmission does not shift gears at all. It goes into safety mode and has not gears at all. I never know when it will do this. Also, when i am at a standstill, if i turn off the a.c. The car jumps forward.this has almost caused me to hit other cars in the rear. They have tried putting in other computers and very seldom can get a malfunction readout on the transmission. Seatbelts - the seatbelts do not lock up upon braking nor at any other time. They move forward as far as you move your body forward. They are of no use as a restraint.

Both rear set belts have trouble being pulled out. They seem to get stuck and cannot be used. This could result in serious injury or death to rear passengers. I have yet to fix the problem.

Recall # 96v099000, chrysler/brakes: hydrualic: anti-skid system. Recall work was performed on march 31, 1998.several days later , the abs warning light came and is still on. Consumer will be contacting dealer about this problem.

Consumer was told that there was a safety recall on the vehicle,manufacturer contacted. Vin number given . Manfufacturer stated vehicle was not under recall. Blower resistor had rusted due to water intrusion.the connector had built up resistance from poor connection and burned the resistor.
