I called autonation chrysler dodge in centennial colorado where i purchased my vehicle and they refused to fix my safety recall for a driver airbag inflator. Thank you for asking chrysler to recall all affected airbag vehicles nationwide.i have sent chrysler several emails explaining that i spend much time in florida, that the humidity exposure thus far has rusted out my original alternator and it had to be replaced last year.this should be plenty of proof that my durango should receive airbag replacements.chrysler has continually dodged this request and has failed to stand behind their product.please let me know how this is possible, and what i can do about this in addition to never purchasing a chrysler/dodge product again.i will reach out to my north carolina reps and senators as well, but your request to chrysler for a national recall needs to be enforced.i read of a recent example in north carolina where an affected vehicle injured the driver/occupant when deployed.my wife drives the kids in this vehicle, will chrysler be liable if more people get hurt and they refuse to address the airbag problem??

My family was in a violent car accident involving our 2007 dodge durango.we were hit "head on " in the driver's side by an suv going between 60-80 according to state police.the entire driver's side of the truck was completely caved in by the impact that included flying glass, metal fragments etc.the airbags did come out, but did not inflate and just came down like a "cape".they were useless in preventing any bodily injuries.my wife was driving and injured her left shoulder, her back and up into her neck.my daughter was in the back driver's side passenger seat and hurt her head pretty bad.i was in the front passenger seat and hurt my knee, wrist and shoulder.my son was in the back passenger seat and hurt his back.we were going 30 mph in right hand lane and the driver of the other car was speeding down the middle lane and lost control after clipping a car, several behind us.witnesses say he was going 100 mph. We did not know there was a recall on the 07 durango for airbags, and this could have been a fatal crash.

I was notified may 2016 of the recall, but have not yet been called in for repair. This vehicle is my only means of transportation for my family.

Takata recall (not sure). While driving (40 mph to 45 mph) on a rainy afternoon on saturday november 18, 20017 the right side panel airbag deployed without been in any type or accident or nothing, besides that it was raining very hard.it sound like a big explosion inside the car making me almost lost vehicle control.

Takata recallwe never recieved a recall notice for either airbag!this is unacceptable since this is a safety issue!i am only finding out that our vehicle is one of the ones affected through a facebook link!beyond upset!eapecially if we could have gotten into an accident!

We received a safety recall notice in late july (?) and my husband went to roy's grand dodge to schedule an appointment.he was told it would be awhile until they could get to us because there were so many of the recalls.my husband returned to check on a date to have the recall fixed on august 28and was told they could only do 3-4 recalls a week and they would get to us sometime.over a month has passed since wanting to fix the recall and i am afraid to drive this dodge.what happens if i have an accident in the dodge before the air bag is repaired?

I received the recall notice from fiat chrysler automobiles for the airbags in may. My 2007 durango has developed a turn signal problem where when the left turn signal is triggered, the right signal actually is operated indicated by inside and outside lights. This is verified by irate drivers letting me know!! this is a very serious safety problem and i can't believe there is no recall on this!

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that the voltage light randomly flashed, which indicated there was a low charge. There was a drastic reduction in speed each time the warning lights randomly flashed. The contact also received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v313000 (air bags) and 16v352000 (air bags). The parts were not available within a reasonable time frame to receive the repairs. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Turn signals began malfunctioning, and still are.when applying the left turn signal, nothing comes on.when applying the right turn signal, the left comes on.the windshield wipers come on sporadically, and will only go to a maximum speed of about 2 wipes per minute when they work at all.bright lights will not come on at all, and when i depress the lever to turn them on, the wiper fluid squirts onto the windshield.the door locks also intermittently lock and unlock ten or fifteen times in a row by themselves at random times, both in idle and while in drive at various speeds.

While driving my 2007 dodge durango, the left turn signal, when applied, will flash in the cab and on the outside of the vehicle as right. It will malfunction from time to time by flashing back and forth left to right. Sometimes it will not work at all. For awhile it will work then the turn signal will start to flash in the wrong direction. This is very dangerous and places my family in serious danger of getting into an accident. The fuses and relays are working fine. The bulbs are fresh and new. This problem is from another failure

Vehicle stationary and in motion show 6 warning ligths and do not go away . Plus also when you start slowing down ,i hear a bump noise in the gears, before stoping the car.( this is not at all times)

I purchased my durango feb 2012 and 5 months later (aug 2012) i have already experiancing problems. Every time i put gas in the suv; when it gets close to full, no matter the speed of gas travel, it starts spewing out of the tank. I am also having a problem with the electrical system. I started the durango and noticed the dash lights did not turn on. Tried turning the dimmer switch all the way up, still nothing happened. The interior lights did not even turn on. I also noticed the speedometer, gas gauge, rpm gauage or thermestate was not working. Then noticed the horn, windshield wipers, blinkers, dimmer switch, head lights, door locks, buttons located on the steering wheel (i.e. Cruise control, radio volume and channel buttons and hazard lights) where not working. When any of the doors are open, the interior lights do not turn on. The compass is reading "no bus", which means it is not receaving any information from the instrument cluster. None of the computer information is desplaying either; such as, the compass, milage, door adjar indicator, ect. I also had the durango hooked to a computer and it kept giving codes for items not working due to not receiving information from the instrument cluster. After getting this information, i started doing some research and found that the 2006 model had a recall on the instrument panel due to the same problems my 2007 model is experiancing. I also noticed that the recall was put out after the manufacter date of my vehicle. In my opinion the electrical panel for the 2007 dodge durango needs to be recalled as well. This is an expensive part to replace and as a single mother and this vehicle as our only means of transportation, it leaves us in quite the predicament. I feel this problem is a hazard to my children, my self and the public and needs to be taken care of immediately.

Vehicle is switching into 4wd low while in motion. I have also heard the actuator activating while the vehicle is not running and without the key in the ignition. I believe this to be an electrical issue based on research that appears to be happening in multiple vehicles for dodge. I am concerned that the system could change into 4wd or 4wd lock at a highway speeds causing dangerous and unsafe driving conditions.

Our durango randomly shuts off while driving or when we are idle. It happens a lot when making turns and i loose steering as well. Abs indicator on as well as check engine light. The check engine light usually shows o2 sensors or crank shaft sensors. Had both replaced many times and the issue still occurs. Very dangerous situation, as it is our family car.

I will be driving and my 4wd lock will engage without me turning it on causing my tires to stick to the road.it prevents me from turning my steering wheel without the car acting like it is going tip over. It seems like the same problem that was experienced with the 2006 dodge durangos.

I recently purchased a 2007 dodge durango had it brought up on 12/1/2010. The tank was empty so i went to the local gas station to fill up. Let it shut off by itself when full and there was gas spilling out of the tank after it shut off. I assumed it was the pump. So few days later had to fill again it did it again different gas station. There is something seriously wrong with this tank and a really big safety concern for fire or if you don't clean the gas off the side of the vehicle near the tank right away. I am a mother of 2 small children and this terrifies me. My car has less then 36,000 miles and not even a true 3 years old this should still be considered a factory warranty issue or do the right thing and put as a recall. All you have to do is google this and there are hundreds to thousands with the same issue. Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs5u63cn-ii here is a youtube video of the issue mine does as his does also. I just got this vehicle and not even driven more than 23 days and the fuel tank is messed up, and now the gas cap light is coming on and wont go off, and the malfunction light on the instrument panel is now coming on. I believe its all from this fuel tank issue. I cant afford an expense like this. No one could predict an issue like this.

When using the blinker it commonly flashes the opposite direction being turned.also frequently the windshield wipers will stop working and/or go from a fast setting to a slow setting.

Approached intersection to turn left ,had left turn signal on ,looked at insturmentation right turn signal was flashing.moved directional lever to right flash position ,left signal started flashing,at the same time, wipers that were on delay, went to hi speed ,with loss of all switch control. Had to turn off vehicle, and apon restart both systems returned to normal operation, this was ona dark rainy night ,there is cause for concern .since i expierenced this 2 weeks earlier. And i have witnesses! and can't trust this vehicle

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. When the contact attempted to start the vehicle, the key failed to turn in the ignition switch. In addition, the contact had to play with the switch for the ignition to turn. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 111,605.

While vehicle is on the dashboard lights up with every light. It also says no fuse when the odometer is. All the gauges stop working and the air controls dont work which mean no hot or cold air at all. This happen when stationary and in motion

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 mph, the esp warning indicator illuminated as the vehicle shook. The failure recurred continuously. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the clock spring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also mentioned that the vehicle was serviced under a manufacturers air bag recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.

While driving every light and gauge started bouncing back and forth. No headlights or brake lights. After shutt it off it continued to do it. This seems to happen anytime it rains or moisture in the air. I have had the wiring harness in the steering column replaced at the dealer and the controller for the blinkers replaced at a local mechanic. This has not solved the issue.absolutely afraid it is going to die on the highway while doing this. This happened while is was driving but have had it happen as soon as i start the durango. We have a video that we are unable to download that clearly demonstrates this issue. Dodge forum has other durango's with this same issue.

My 2007 dodge durango limited has been having an issue where the 4x4 keeps turning itself on without me actually engaging it. Ive been having a very huge with solving the issue but i was able to read a forum which stated that i should fill out this form. This issue happens when the vehicle is parked, in motion, or when i hit the unlock button on the key pad.

While moving or at rest, activating turn signals to turn right, it rarely signals. While activating left turn signal, the right will blink the majority of he time. At times the correct direction will blink and then change directions before the turn is made and sometimes after the turn is made.when wipers are on highest setting they will not work unless i turn on the high beams. When switching from hi to low beams the wiper fluid will dispense.cruise control suddenly also does not work. Power windows will randomly go up or down completely on their own when attempting to put them up or down just a little or just quit working completely at times.

No incident to report. Turn signal malfunctioned when signaling left turn.both signals flashed.

1. Passenger front window goes down by itself when driving as though someone has pushed the auto down control - but this is not the case. Have taken it to the dealer 3 times to be fixed. They said they reset the controls. It is happening again. I am now also experiencing issues with putting the vehicle in reverse. The car starts backing up then the goes into neutral automatically.

Abs, check engine light, slippery when wet and gas cap warnings all on... Spent 3 weeks in shop and was told dodge doesn't make the part to fix.

I was leaving the gas station & the vehicle started jumping up & down like a bucking horse.there wastemporary power loss as well as loss of steering.the vehicle displayed a bas/esp error & as well as a traction control error.

Tire pressure extremely low several times and the sensor never detected change in air pressure.major problem occurred while driving and tire was completely flat and sensor never detected problems.this could have caused a serious blow out and car crash.

2007 dodge durango slt 4x4, stalling and engine failure without warning while driving down the road. The first few times the engine stalled it would lose all power and stop in the intersection with little to no way of controlling the vehicle. Once the vehicle stalled and several more times in an attempt to get safely out of the road the engine would no longer start. The dealership has had the vehicle for several days with no luck in finding the issues. I also have issues with the fuel system when filling the vehicle with gas it shoots out of the tank everytime it is filled up. This started at approx 45k miles. I was unaware that this is a safety issue, since it is a know problem with dodge it should be addressed.

Driving on the nj turnpike the engine light suddenly came on and then the engine locked up. The truck is regularly maintained and has not had any accidents prior to this. The car is not even 7 full years of age yet. Called chrysler and they refuse to help out due to age and miles. How does a car in great running condition just stall and die while driving?

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango.the contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 mph, the engine stalled without warning. The vehicle was shifted into neutral in order to restart after numerous attempts the vehicle. The contact also noticed that the door latch would lock and unlock independently. The failure recurred on multiple occasions.the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the mechanic stated that there was an unknown sensor replaced. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred.the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 134,000.

When slowing down vehicle stalls, in traffic, intersections, and freeway at high speeds. Water leaking in from discontinued cowl panel deterioration allowing water to freely fall all over plugs and coil packs.

While driving the car i turned to park and it shut off.it has done this many times, while driving down the street. I am afraid to drive my kids in the car for fear it will shut off on the highway.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure continued. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.the approximate failure mileage was 107,000.

The vehicle stalls/loses power while driving down the road, it gives no warning and once the vehicle loses power you lose control of steering and come to an abrupt stop. This leave the vehicle stranded wherever you are with little to no way to safely pull to the side of the road or highway. This is an ongoing issue with this vehicle, it has been into the dealership multiple times and they have continuously failed to find or solve the issue.it is extremely concerning that this vehicle is ultimately putting my family in grave danger as the times that the vehicle has broke down have been in the middle of busy intersections. The forums and web searches online appear to prove that this is a common issue with dodge yet the manufacturer is unable to solve the issue or put out a recall in regards to the problem. This is not only endangering the lives of my family but potentially the lives of many other unsuspecting owners/families.

Vehicle fluctuates in rpm's upon starting vehicle, while stopped in traffic and while driving down the road. Vehicle also will randomly stall with no warning while in park, while stopped at traffic signals, pulling into intersections and also while driving down the road. Upon stalling i have an extremely short amount of time to pull over before i loose complete ability to steer the vehicle. Vehicle has random violent shifting while driving. Problems began about 90,000 miles and has gotten progressively and severely worse the past 3 months.

I was leaving the gas station & the vehicle started jumping up & down like a bucking horse.there wastemporary power loss as well as loss of steering.the vehicle displayed a bas/esp error & as well as a traction control error.

The check engine light constantly remains on after all codes have been addressed. This vehicle is routinely given maintenance checks. Other the codes given (p40), what could the issue by? i have called my local dodge dealership for assistance with the recent recall hoping that would help resolve the issue, but the clerk was very rude stating they were busy. I love my vehicle but for safety concerns, i feel i may need to get rid of it if the problem continues. This has been a permanent issue for at least the last three years...each year its a struggle to even past emissions due to the check engine light. Thank you.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango.the contact stated that the vehicle would stall without warning while driving at any speed. The failure was experienced several times. The dealer performed a diagnostic that was unable to locate a failure code. The dealer stated that the stalling could be caused by water entering the engine manifold abnormally. The dealer did not replace any parts. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 30,000 and the current mileage was 62,000.

I have a 2007 dodge durango hemi limited and my wife was driving it on the turnpike expressway toward south at 55 mph when suddenly the engine stalls out without any warning, she lost complete control over the car, the brakes and the steering did not work, she had to maneuver the car and thanks her expertise and no car in her way, she can stopped it putting the transmission in "park", was the only way to stop that deadly situation. My daughter was inside the car so terrified. I took it back towed to the dealer and just like most others with this problem they couldn't find anything. They are trying to get me to pay them first to put a battery and another sensor to see what happened or what is the problem, they don't know. This car almost kills my family and/or someone else and potamkin planet dodge at doral and dodge doesn't response. I am going to get legal help for this matter.

On i-25 going north the instrument panel beeped then showed all red indicator lights on.beeping was continual every 10 seconds.all gages went to zero: speedometer rpm, gas, temp etc...also r/left turn indicators did not function; nor the wiper blades [front or rear]. Vehicle could be driven [cautiously] as head & rear lights and brake lights functioned. I do not know if the air bag release mechanism was affected.we had 250 miles to go, half in daylight.very difficult to merge from i25 to i40 during rush hour traffic without turn indicators.

The contact was driving 5 mph and attempting a left turn when the left turn signal switch was engaged. The contact stated that the left turn signal would activate momentarily before failing and the right turn signal would independently activate. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was advised by the manufacturer to contact the dealer for repairs. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired.the failure mileage was 98,000.

When using the blinker it commonly flashes the opposite direction being turned.also frequently the windshield wipers will stop working and/or go from a fast setting to a slow setting.

When activating the turn signal to the left, the indicator will come on and within a few seconds, will start flashing to the right instead of the left. At times, it will jump back and forth between the right and left indicators, and sometimes not turn on at all.as of 1-2-3-2011, they are totally inoperative.

My 2007 durango has developed a turn signal problem where when the left turn signal is triggered, the right signal actually is operated indicated by inside and outside lights. This is verified by irate drivers letting me know!! this is a very serious safety problem and i can't believe there is no recall on this!

I turned on my right blinker and my left blinker was on instead. This has happened several times. I turn one blinker on and the opposite blinker is what come on inside and out. This is very unsafe and could cause an accident. There should be a safety recall on this.

I just purchased a used dodge durango with 28,900 miles on it. I discovered beginning the day i bought it that it is impossible to put gasoline into the durango without it dumping out approximately a large amount after the hose shuts off. It does not seem to matter if it is an attempt to fill the tank or just to add any amount of gasoline to the vehicle. It always does it about 1 or 2 seconds after the pump clicks off. The gasoline goes down the side of the vehicle and there is always a large puddle on the ground under the vehicle. I am afraid that someday it will catch on fire due to the excessive amount of fuel loss.the is also always a gasoline smell inside the passenger compartment after filling the tank. I have seen many complaints online and also reported to the ntsb regarding this issue. Why is there not a recall?

Fuel sprays out of fill hole when tank is filled and pump shuts off.this has been doing this for years, and i just learned this was a common problem to dodge vehicles.to correct, i never fill the vehicle up.

My durango is having the same problem that i see complaints all over the place for.i have the fuel spewing back out of the tank when i am pumping gas...the nozzle will click off, then a geyser shoots out and it's a lot!this is absolutely ridiculous that nothing has been done to recall/fix this problem.how long or how many vehicles is it going to take before any action will take place.are ya'll waiting for someone to die...a fire...etc??this is a hazard, not only for the person who is filling up the tank, but for the gas station as well.when this happened to me, my hand burned for the majority of the day, and this was after i washed it several times....not to mention my scrubs were ruined.something seriously needs to be done to correct this issue before someone gets hurts!

1. I noticed the past few times i filled up, gas would spew under pressure once i took out the gasoline hose. I thought it was the gas station , but it does it at all stations.2. It does this every time i fill up the vehicle with gasoline. Gasoline comes out under pressure and i think its a fire hazard. 3. Well, i cant fill up my car because of the problem. I looked into it and notice there was a recall on 2005 dodge durango. I took my 2007 dodge durango to dealer and told them about the issue. I was referred to chrysler corporate , where they told me i would have to pay a 100 dollar copay since there is no recall on my model year and my car is out of warranty. I feel dodge did not correct the issue with the recall and i should not have to pay for a clearly defective product that has already been previously recalled on other model years.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that fuel would spew out of the fuel tank while refueling.the contact did not take the vehicle to the dealer or a local mechanic for inspection or repairs.the manufacturer was contacted and a complaint was filed.the failure mileage was 63,000.

When fueling one to two quarts of gas will burp out after gas has shut off . I know that the 2005 dodge durango has the same problem and has been fixed under a recall

When we fill up our 2007 dodge durango the gas will spray out in large amounts and had sprayed both myself and my wife. It is a major fire and environmental hazard.

Fuel tank over flow, thanks to dodge my three year old son spent six hours in the emergency room and patches over his eyes for over a week after being sprayed with gas that shot out of the tank on fill up.i will be advising an attorney next monday.

The fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve does not fully close at the end of refueling. It allows some fuel to escape from the vehicle filler neck.now the gas cap light message stays on and the check engine light came on and stays on.this was a recall for the 2005 durango mine is a 2007 is this recall still active for my vehicle?

Upon normal fueling of the vehicle, gas will significantly expel from fuel inlet when the gas station fuel pump shuts off. This causes dangerous fuel to be in contact with people, vehicle, objects and ground at fuel station.this is a condition that was not caused by the owner or from normal operation of the vehicle.this obvious fueling defect is cause for general public concern for many reasons; excessive skin contact with chemicals, threat of major fire or explosion that could injure, harm or kill individuals and is an environmental hazard to the community.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that while refueling the vehicle, fuel would spew from the filler neck after the automatic shut off engaged. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer or mechanic nor was the vehicle repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and advised him to take the vehicle to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.

My 2007 dodge durango spews fuel out when i fill up.at first i thought i did something wrong, but it does it even when i fill up very slowly.after a bit of research and speaking with my mechanic it seems to be a common problem and i wish dodge would do something about it- they did for the 2005 model year.how is this any less dangerous?i haul my kids around in this vehicle all the time and the last thing i want is anything to happen to them.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact noticed that when fueling the vehicle, the fuel would spill out onto her clothing and onto the ground. The failure was similar to recall 05v034000 (fuel system, gasoline: storage: tank assembly: filler pipe and cap). The dealer or manufacturer had not been notified and the vehicle was not inspected or repaired. The current mileage was 36,000 and the failure mileage was 26,000. The vin was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that after adding gasoline to the fuel tank, it spew out of the filler neck. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the fuel vapor valve was defective, as a result the gasoline tank and fuel lines needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 50,000 and the current mileage was 95,000.

I bought the vehicle new and noticed within the first 1000 miles when filling up and using the auto shut off, gas would spill out of the tank on the side of the car. I thought it was the pump itself and tried others.i was told by local dodge dealer there wasn't a problem and no check engine lights would ever come on indicating an issue. My fuel cap has been replaced several times but i can't use auto shutoff any more with this vehicle. I've gotten use to not filling up but have been told by others this could be dangerous. My car goes in the shop tues 1/9/12 under warranty and wondering what they will say.

I have a 2007 dodge durango limited vehicle. At about 45,000 miles when filling up the gas tank at any gas station and letting if fill up to the automatic cut-off, gas spills out with great force right after the pumps auto cut-off.it spurted as far out as about 2-3 feet from the car and then continues to come out and go down the side of the car.i would estimate that there is probably at least 8-12 ounces of fuel spillage everytime this happens.this is a fire, safety, and environmental hazard.it is my understanding from doing research that there are many people that have this problem in chrysler vehicles.many years 2005-2009 durangos, jeep wranglers, and jeep cherokees.it is clear that chrysler continues to put faulty filler tubes and gas tanks on their vehicles even after they knew they had a problem.i have seen over 200 complaints of this problem on various model years of durango's just in this past year.chrysler gives the run around expecting people to pay anywhere from $200-$1500 to fix this problem that should be fixed by them for faulty equipment.there are also plenty of videos on the internet showing this problem.i urge you to open an investigation on the 2007 durango and other models and institute a recall to force chrysler to fix this problem.you all investigated toyota only after 32 complaints which ended up being more user error than anything. I know that nhtsa has got a lot more than 32 complaints on this issue.please be consistent with your investigations and start one for this problem.

This truck was purchased used in november 2011 with 45000 miles. I have filled the tank 3 times and every time the pump auto shut-off clicks and a few cups of fuel overflows and spills down the side of the vehicle. The 2005 model year was recalled with this same problem, but 2007 had not yet been recalled.

Fuel spews out of filler neck when the tank is filled

When filling the fuel tank, at the completion of filling the pump automatically shuts off as normal but about 1-2 seconds after approximately 1-2 quarts of fuel comes rushing out of the filler neck.if i am lucky enough to have selected a fuel pump with a rubber "shield", the fuel only spills all over the side of the truck and then creates a sizable puddle on the ground.if i use a pump with no "shield", i usually end up with a saturated sleeve even if i try to gently finish filling the tank.i am very concerned about this problem causing a fire and injuring not only myself and my family, but any others near me at the gas station.

On my 2007 dodge durango every time the gas tank is filled it overflows onto the ground which is a safety hazard. The fumes are bad inside the truck after this overflow and i have a child riding in there so i have to wash the truck every time this happens. At first i thought it was a faulty gas pump but after it happened repeatedly at various stations i realized it was the vehicle. Then i thought it must be the filler neck so i took it to a shop to have it replaced because it is out of warranty and $213 later it still overflowing on the ground. Next i looked online to see if anyone else was having the same problem and discovered many many people are. 2005 through 2008 that i have seen and everyone says you have to replace the fuel tank because of a defective valve. There was a recall on 2005 models and i can see why dodge would want to ignore the problem on the rest because it will cost them money but i cannot understand why the government has not forced them to do a recall. This problem is obviously a manufacturer defect. What other vehicles dump gas on the ground when they are 3 years old? none! a recall needs to be done on these vehicles before someone gets blown up or burned.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that when fuel was added to the vehicle it spilled out of the fuel tank. The dealer inspected the vehicle and when they added fuel to the vehicle the identical failure recurred and sprayed from the filler tube once the tank was full. The dealer stated that the fuel tank was neither under warranty or recall. The failure mileage and current mileages were 66000.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that fuel spilled from the fuel tank when filled to capacity. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was told that the check valve in the tank was broken and causing fuel to spill. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 30,000 and the current mileage was 33,000.

Gas over flowed twice when filling tank.thought it was a one time thing but i can no longerfill my tank for fear of it overflowing.

When filling up the gas tank extra gasoline is spit out of the tank which is a fire issue for the gas station.if we are filling the gas tank, when the pump automatically stops gas pours back out of the tank.also the gas cap light came on recently & the gas cap was replaced but light came back on.i believe this would be the same recall as the 2005 dodge durango fuel system gasoline storage tank assembly.we are taking the truck to the dealer in little falls, nj on monday, december 26, 2011 for the repairs to be made.if you search the internet you will find other dodge durangos with the same issue.there is a youtube video of a 2007 dodge durango demonstrating what happens at the end of filling the tank. Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs5u63cn-ii.

The fuel tank shut off or overfilldevice that prevents overfilling is failing on all dodge durangos in our fleet. This allows the vehicle to "burp" out approximately 2 quarts of fuels with enough force to hit the adjacent pump.

While filling up the fuel tank and relying on the automatic shut off, gas will spew out covering the person standing there, the ground, and the side of the vehicle.even when approximating the tank being full and trying to control the flow by hand, gasoline will overflow just not with the same force.besides the annoyance of being covered in and smelling like gasoline, this defect poses major safety risks.man up dodge and help us get this fixed.

My 2007 dodge durango spills gas out of the filler neck every time i fill up with gas.

2007 dodge durango.when refueling the auto, fuel spews from the tankextremely dangerous situation and fire hazard.this happens regardless of the flow of gas into the tank.please do something before a serious event takes place and lives are lost or serious injury takes place.

I own a 2007 durango. About six months ago, i noticed that when fueling up, when the tank was full, gas was blowing out of the fill valve while the gas nozzle was still in the fill valve. I talked to the dealer about it, but the service manager basically blew me off, like it was my fault. I started watching whether the amount of fuel in the tank upon filling up mattered--it did not. The fuel would spill out no matter if the tank was on empty, 1/4 full, 1/2 or 3/4 full. I tried fueling up first thing in the morning thinking heat had something to do with it--it didn't the fuel still spewed out. These things were tried as a result of statements made by the service manager.

When removing the nozzle after filling the gas tank to full, quite a bit of fuel splashes out of the tank. This has happened several times, nearly every time i have filled up the car.

Fuel overflows from the inlet when fueling the vehicle. If you attempt to actually fill the tank (which i only get 20 gallons into a 27 gallon tank even when the low fuel light comes on), the fuel will overflow out of the inlet as soon as the handle clicks off. It's not a small amount of overflow either, it's enough that the fuel ends up down the side of the vehicle and into a puddle on the ground. This has caused the only surface rust on the entire vehicle.

I have a 2007 dodge durango. The last three times i put gas (at two different gas stations) the gas sprayed back out with lots of force. The last time, i did not even fill the tank completely and still the gas spilled out. At first i thought it was the gas pump, but it has occurred at two different gas stations. The employee at the gas station indicated that they seen the same problem with other dodge durango. I am very concern because of the danger this situation represent. Can anyone please help?

I had been noticing that when i would fill up my durango, when it got to the top, it would spill out all over my car and on the ground.at first i thought it was just a fluke but it has continued to do so.i called the dealership and all they told me was that they would just have to look at it to discover what the problem was.i then took it to my mechanic and he told me that there was a recall for this very thing and advised me to call the number listed 1-800-853-1403.i was told by the person on the on the other end that my durango was not one of them.i proceeded to tellher even though when this very recall is exactly what my car is doing and it is a 2005 model.she said no.well i am now having to have this same recall issue fixed and paid for out of my own pocket because you don't believe my mechanic.he will be submitting this on the billas to what he had to do to fix the problem.i tried doing this the nice way but no one on the other end would listen.go figure.i will also be filing a complaint with the bbb as well.

This problem should have been a recall on dodge behalf.i'm afraid that because i have to wait to come up with the deductible, a more serious accident could occur in the meantime.please contact me at your earliest convenience and thank you for your attention to this letter.

When fueling, the filler tube spits out alot of fuel after the gun shuts off. No matter how slow you pump it, you can't stop it. Chrysler had a recall on some models, but not all. I think chrysler should take a second look at this before someone gets burned or killed. The amount of fuel is probably around 2 cups. If you can help me resolve this issue, i will be forever grateful. [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

If i filled tank with gas completely it would overflow, so i would never fill all the way. Now i can barely put any gas in it without it overflowing, even at the slowest rate.

I just bought a used 2007 durango and upon filling the gas tank up, the gas spewed out. Thought it might be that particular pump, but it always does this when filling up. Fuel spills out of filler neck when tank is filled. Very dangerous. Potential for some very bad things to happen.

I have 2007 dodge durango with the 5.7l hemi. Approximately 2 years ago we began having issues when fueling the vehicle. When filling the tank, the fuel nozzle will automatcially shut off normally when the tank is full. However, when removing the pump nozzle gas spews back out of the filler neck all over whomever is filling the vehicle or onto the ground. From what i have seen this has been an on going issue with several dodge vehicles and of course all after the warranty has expired. Seems like you have enough complaints about to force a recall but choose not to. With fuel prices still at an elevated level, this is costing me money as there is wasted fuel on the ground. Please force dodge to issue a recall.

Was filling up with fuel when after about a gallon the auto shut off turned off and a large amount of fuel came shooting out of the vehicle.the tank was nearly empty when i began fueling so overfilling isn't the cause.i noticed many people having similar issues and dodge has done some recalls with regards to this.looks like my vehicles vin isn't covered under the recall at this point.

Fuel tank sprays fuel and spills up to a quart of gasoline when filler nozzle shuts off. I purchased this vehicle used in september of 2015 with approximately 91,000 miles. It is a limited 4x4 model with a 5.7l hemi multi displacement engine. Upon several occasions when refueling the vehicle, seconds after the fuel nozzle clicks off a gushing should is heard and immediately a spray of gasoline is ejected from the filler neck. It has become too dangerous to fill the tank and i must resort to purchasing a less than full tank. Not only is this annoying but it also presents an extreme fire and explosion hazard due to the quantity of gasoline ejected. Both myself and several gas station attendants have been soaked in gasoline by this defect of not shutting off the filler check valve when full.i believe the 2005-2006 models of this same vehicle were recalled for a similar problem which required replacing the entire fuel tank and filler pipe as an assembly. If this problem is allowed to go unchecked it represents a hazard to the several thousands of this generation 2005 to 2009 durangos on the road and their occupants.

Every time that i fill the fuel tank it spits out about 1/4 of a gallon of fuel.it is very costly and very dangerous.we are a family of 7 and this is our family car.having this much fuel spill out is a danger, not only to my family but to the others at the gas station.this is a major problem that needs to be taken care of by the manufacturer.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. While the vehicle was being fueled, fuel was forced out of the fuel tank where the fuel pump was inserted. The contact never filled the fuel tank completely because he was afraid fuel would exit the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was 76,000.

When filling tank the fuel filler hose sprays fuel back everywhere. I am scared to fill my tank up as it is a risk that gas gets sprayed all over you. My vehicle is stationary at the pump turned off. In googling it seems multiple people have this problem.

Upon fueling the vehicle a significant amount of gas would spew out getting hands/clothes/ground wet with gasoline. This happens at erratic times, never a rhyme or reason. Looked into the problem when it first occurred and saw no recall information. Now vehicle is reading a p0430 code, o2 sensors.

Large amount of fuel spills when filling tank, comes out when fuel hose is removed from the filler tube every time when filled.

When we fill the fuel tank, the pump clicks and we stop fueling.problem after that is that the vehicle stops running at various times. Could be making a turn and it will die or stopped or driving.very dangerous. Looked up this problem and there is a nhtsa bullitin for this problem for other vehicles, there is a valve on top of the tank that fails and allows fuel into the vapor canister causing the vehicleto stop running. Please extend the recall to this vehicle as well.thank you

Fuel is sprayed on the vehicle, floor, person's upper and lower body while refueling. The vehicle is turned off, in park, at the gas station.the fuel spray occurs every time the fuel tank is filled near full. Followed with a strong fuel odor inside the cabin that lasts for about an hour. The problem started around 2010

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. When the fuel tank was filled, fuel would leak from the fuel tank. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 188,000.

Qty. Part no. Description ar (1) cnnzx390aa tube, fuel filler was replaced by dealership. Still cannot put fuel in it without it taking forever and a day and still cannot pass emissions! beyond infuriated! no one will take ownership of a manufactured defective fuel system and actually they expect me to pay for it! please, please issue a recall and hold these people accountable! we have had gas splashed all over us and after the supposed 'fix' can't put gas in it without it taking 30 minutes. Not acceptable, nor is it safe!

Whenever i fill the tank with gas, when the pump clicks off, and then gas spews out all over the place. There is a "technical service bulletin" describing this problem on my vehicle, but when i went to the local chrysler dealer for the airbag recall and asked if they would fix the gas problem, they said that the "technical service bulletin" was just "courtesy information" and if i wanted to "fix" it, i would have to pay for it. I've seen online that many others have had their vehicle fixed at their dealership for free. I don't know if i was lied to, or if the drivers i read about online just have better dealerships than i do here. I love the durango - it's a great vehicle, but the gas fill problem is a mess. I wish i could get chrysler to do something about it.

When filling the fuel tank up the gas will spurt back out , you can fill it slow or fastit will do the same, it's not a small amount, it's a large amount.

Any time i go to the gas pump to fill up fuel spills out of the tank. I have asked dodge about this and they say to change the fuel cap. I don't know how the fuel cap has to do with filling the tank. This has happened on several occasions covering myself kids and husband in gasoline. I now have to watch the fuel gauge while im filling up and listen for the tank to be full. This is a hazard and needs to be corrected by dodge.

I just purchased the vehicle and went to fill up the fuel tank.when the gas station dispenser automatically shut off, i got a large spray of fuel back out of the filler pipe that sprayed out on me and also ran down the side of the vehicle.according to the fuel gauge, the tank was not completely full when it did this.i had a small amount of fuel in my eye and had to rinse it out.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, fuel would spew from out of the fuel tank. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer. The contact did not take the vehicle to a dealer or local mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The failure mileage was 167,000.

When filling gas tank (topping it off) i'll hear 1 click and the gas will instantly start spewing out.normally it'll run down the vehicle (which has caused paint damage/rust).however, last week i was pumping gas and i received absolutely no warning that it was full so the gasoline starting blowing back at me. I was saturated from my arms to my feet in gas.it was absolutely terrifying, not to mention extremely dangerous, and humiliating. Something needs to be gone before something tragic happens to someone.

Fuel comes out after filling tank.this is ridiculous and so very dangerous.i can tell its gone on a while with my rig cause paint is all wearing away by fuel spout.i see this is a huge complaint for lots of people.can't believe dodge won't fix situation.they need to wait for death or serious injury first. I will be getting rid of mine as soon as i can and i will never ever buy another dodge.all the stories i've heard about dodge are true.this is my first and last one i will ever own.i have many issues besides this.but this is the most serious one. So far. Terrible.way to care about your product dodge and the people who drive them.

When i fill the car up if i allow it to fill up all the way once its full the gas spews out. I have researched and i have found that many that have my year and make of car are having the same issue. My mechanic advised me to call the dealership to inquire if there was a recall. They advised me that there isnt. There should be. What do we need to do to look into this further. Thanks!

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that the door locks opened while driving and made a loud squeaking noise. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired per an unknown nhtsa campaign for the door latches at chapman chevrolet (1717 e baseline rd, tempe, az 85283, phone number (480) 838-1234); however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 125,702.

I will be driving and my 4wd lock will engage without me turning it on causing my tires to stick to the road.it prevents me from turning my steering wheel without the car acting like it is going tip over. It seems like the same problem that was experienced with the 2006 dodge durangos.

Vehicle shifted into 4wd and then to neutral and would not shift back.had to pull to side of road to avoid a collision.the problem here is actually the transfer case motor. On the awd model it is a 2 speed motor on 2wd it is a one speed motor. This is important because you need to know which you have if you are looking to replace it

Check engine light came onwhen you go to take off the durango has no power. Gas mileage is really bad had a computer hooked up to it the code showed trans shift solenoidneeds to be replaced. Wanted to find out if anyone else has had a problem with the same.

2007 durango randomly stalls while driving down tbe highway. It has stalled as many as 3 times in12 mile trip from home. It stalls while idling at a stop light.it will stall when slowing down and the transmission will shift hard at times. You never know when it will stall. I'm scared to drive it. It stalled on the interstate when i was driving in heavy traffic at 60mph. I know other models have been recalled and it seems to be a frequently ask question on some dodge forums. This is a life threatening problem. I have replaced the camshaft and crank sensor, ignition coils, pcu and asd relays. Something us dangerously wrong with this vehicle. This has been occurring for several months and my lifetime warranty was voided because they said i took it in too early to have it checked. No one called or let me know i needed to have it inspected but they can call me every single day to tell me there is an airbag recall. It isn't mportant when you can't drive your vehicle because it is too dangerous.

Engine quit.similar i think to like car that i have recall on for tipmnhtsa24v-530seems awful coincidental. Multiple occurrences but all when stopped on this car.perhaps same part used in prior year that is being recalled for 2011.

Vehicle stationary and in motion show 6 warning ligths and do not go away . Plus also when you start slowing down ,i hear a bump noise in the gears, before stoping the car.( this is not at all times)

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph, the four wheel drive switch turned on independently. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The technician replaced the transfer case motor and the switch. The failure recurred but the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

The car flashes 4lo consistently and, you can hear under the car when your not even driving the car switches into different 4x4's. When, you unlock the door it switches into different 4x4's. When, you go into reverse and, turn your wheel all the way the car locks and, you can't move unless you turn your wheel a different way. It also does this in forward. This is an issue that has been happening to other people and, dodge still has not done anything about this. If, you go on this website you will see other people with different year dodges that this has happened to and, yet there still is no recalls. This has to be fixed or someone can, get hurt with the car locking like this and, it going into different 4x4's.

Design of rear seat belt buckles in 2007 dodge durango are faulty and easily break, thus providing no secure/locking feature during impact.i own a 2007 dodge durango and have just over 28k miles on it.it is used sparingly due to gas prices.the third row seat belt buckles are a metal base with a cheap plastic piece placed in it that slides to "lock" the seat belt webbing against the metal in leu of a locking racketing system used on most cars where child seats would/could go.this piece has broken from both third row seat positions.one failed two or three years ago and was replace with a better design unit.the other failed recently, but due to the warranty period being over, dodge refuses to replace the device.therefore i have no way to safely and securely buckle my children in this rear seat.without this buckle being replaced, my child could be seriously injured or killed in an impact situation.surely others have complained about this terrible seat belt re-tension system.it is hard to believe the dot approved such a design to begin with.i cannot afford the cost to replace this and feel strongly that dodge should be required to recall these seatbelts and replace with the newer design.i wonder how many children are unsafely being buckled into these cars every day.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, smoke emitted from the from the front end of the cabin. The vehicle was inspected by an insurance adjuster who diagnosed that the seatbelt tension cartridge needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. None of the seat belts will work in the automatic locking mode for the installation of a child seat.

I have a 2007 dodge and the seats are defected. They stain even with water. I have taken it to the dealer ship several time and finally we have came to a resolution. I will have them replaced with leather and be done with this problem but the seats are going to stain and there's noting no one can do to get them out.

On nov. 16, 2011 our 2007 dodge durango caught on fire while my husband was driving home on i-95.initially the driver seat became extremely hot and 15-20 minutes later the vehicle was on fire.we made sure that all of the maintenance was kept up-to-date on the vehicle and there were no warning signs.once my husband exited the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames.we have searched the internet for any recalls for 2007 dodge durango and at this present time there are none.

On february 27, 2010 we, the owners, were detailing our 2007 dodge durango. In order to fully detail the vehicle we opted to remove the seats in order to shampoo the carpets. In removing the bolts below the middle seat with a ratchet, two of the bolt heads below the middle seat snapped off. This concerns me deeply that the little bit of man power exerted into removing the bolts is a fraction of the power exerted in a vehicle accident. These bolts would have been easily snapped off in the event of a vehicle accident. This problem does need to be addressed in some way, shape or form. I have two children who sit in the middle seat of this vehicle 100% of the time and i should not have to wonder if, god forbid a vehicle accident occurs, that the middle seat, or any of the seats in my car for that matter, are going to stay in place because of the bolts securing them down. Please address this issue immediately.

Left rear brakes lock up in cold weather when driving, causing vehicle to jerk and skid.

Driving on us1 in the florida keys, key largo. Pulled into turning lane, applied brakes, nothing happened, car continued at regular speed, kept applying brakes without response until the car collided at approximately 30 mph into a white suburban vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. Tried to get attention from dodge and the dealer that replaced the abs system the month prior without success. I suffered multiple herniated discs in my cervical.

The accelerator of our 2007 durango at rest is about 1 inch lower than the brake. I have several times stepped on the brake to put it in gear and am also stepping on the accelerator, because it is too close to the same height. The brake is slightly higher. This causes quite a jerk when i start the car and put in gear quickly. We have a 2000 durango. The separation height of the brake vs the accelerator is 2 3/4 inches. I've never experienced the same with it.i took the car to two dealers that said there is no adjustment to either the brake or the accelerator. Chrysler corp. Offers no solution. I'd expect that a recall for the brake arm (bent to give higher at rest) should be done. I am very afraid of this condition and fear that it will cause me to lurch ahead or back at some time when i forget to make sure i only have my foot on the brake.i have pictures of the position of the brake and accelerator and can get them to whomever may need them.

The front calipers of my durango have seized up 7 times in the last 3 years. It is professionally serviced and the shop is becoming tired of servicing the vehicle since the failures occur under the warranty period and doesn't cost me anything except time. The time between failures is increasing. It was only 3 months and 2000 miles since having new calipers installed this time. The shop had the vehicle for 3 days because so many dodge vehicles are having the same problem calipers are in short supply.

The part is not available nationwide. It may become available next mo. (november). Are there so many damaged, that they run out of replacements? should this be a recall? interesting: the car was warranted for 80000 miles, bumper to bumper, and this happens at 83000 miles.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that the abs light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the abs pump motor control module needed to be replaced but the dealer was unsure that this would correct the problem. The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango.while pulling into a tire shop parking lot, the contact's foot slipped off the brake pedal and onto the accelerator pedal.the vehicle drove into the tire shop wall and through the showroom floor.an employee sustained a broken leg.a police report was filed.the contact stated that the brake and accelerator pedals were too close and should be spaced apart.the failure mileage was 20,000.

My wife and i have a concern with our 2007 model as to the proximity of the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal. When the brake pedal is pushed i can also push the accelerator pedal at the same time, if i am not careful. I'v done it more times that i want to, but mostly in our garage when i start the car and push the brake to put it in gear to back out. ...updated 01/29/15

I have a 2007 dodge durango bought 3/7/07, and ondate 4/4/07 been in shop twice for steering issues and they have both times said nothing is wrong. The durango also has idle issue and harmonic balance issue. When driving i have to keep steering to the left in order to stay straight, turn to right not even half inch and you are in the other lane of traffic. Go around curve at 35 to 45 mph and you feel like tires are going to fall off. Dealer ship has on both occasions in shop said nothing wrong. There is a recall on steering however mine wasn't included. Very hard to maintain own lane when driving. Nothing has corrected. A back tire was replaced on 4-2-07 dealer checked drove and didn't find anything.

I was leaving the gas station & the vehicle started jumping up & down like a bucking horse.there wastemporary power loss as well as loss of steering.the vehicle displayed a bas/esp error & as well as a traction control error.

I was driving on the expressway and my car began to stop and several indicator lights came on, engine, asb/bas, and tps.the car stopped and i had to move it into park and restart.this has happened several times in the past fw days.usually while i am driving on a non hwy surface.i called and asked about a recall to this number 800-853-1403.i was then referred to the nearest dealer.

While driving the car i turned to park and it shut off.it has done this many times, while driving down the street. I am afraid to drive my kids in the car for fear it will shut off on the highway.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that the front drivers side tie rod detached from the steering knuckle. There were no prior warnings before the failure. The vehicle had not been inspected. The failure and current mileages were 42,000. The vin was not available.

I have a dodge durango 2007. The front passenger and driver side doors swing back when you open the doors. My fiance was getting out of the truck and the door slammed back closed on his middle three fingers piercing his middle finger cause him to get and stitch on the front side and the back side of his finger. I was getting out of the driver side and the door swung back close on my ankle! i have children and i am fearfulthey will get hurt.

1. The loud noise occurs during temps below 50 degrees and will continue during operation. The sound is like metal rubbing metal and is very loud. This sound can be heard when over a speed bump, dip in the road, coming out of the drive way, and normal operation within high temperature which ranges 0-50 degrees. The sound is forward and rear of the vehicle body/frame and sounds like the frame is breaking or metal may be rubbing.2. The sensor lights come on the dash and may remain on during operation and may turn off for about 10 minutes before returning on.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated that when driving over bumps at any speed, the front end of the vehicle would violently wobble. The failures would last for a few moments before the vehicle would regain control. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on several occasions in which they were unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 5.

Tire pressure extremely low several times and the sensor never detected change in air pressure.major problem occurred while driving and tire was completely flat and sensor never detected problems.this could have caused a serious blow out and car crash.

Spare wheel and tire are different size (smaller) than the wheels/tires on the ground. Car purchased with "full size spare" specified. Dealer and chrysler customer care say "the spare you have is what the specs say are standard". They also say, "it's only a spare". This full-time 4wd car contains many warnings about keeping all tires same inflation, size, type, etc. To prevent damage to the transmission.after the same problem with light trucks occurred, chrysler began shipping spare same size as tires on the ground.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. The contact stated the tire pressure warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The front and rear passenger side valve stems were replaced on the vehicle previously and would need to be replaced again to correct the failure. The dealer confirmed there were issues with the valve stems however, would not be covered under warranty. The failure mileage was 57,000 and the current mileage was 58,342.

Vehicle intermittently loses all power and dies with no real warning. It has died on the freeway numerous times with the vehicle traveling at speeds over 70 miles an hour, on side streets going under 30, while stopped at red lights, while placed in parked in parking lots, and once while vehicle was in reverse. No check engine light is displayed and dealer does not know what's wrong. When it dies on the freeway i lose all power steering and brakes making it very difficult to safely pull over so that i can put it into park and restart it. I am afraid that this is going to cause an accident, as i was almost rear-ended last time it died.

This vehicle is totalled, and has been crushed. Stop sending me recall warnings

When refueling the car fuel would spew from the filler neck just before it was full. Contacted dodge and they want me to pay $200.00 to replace the fuel tank. So far i have refused to pay, but i really need to get this fixed, it is a hazard.

While driving on freeway, doing about 65 mph, my truck just stalls. I have just a few seconds to pull over or put the truck in neutral to try and restart.sometimesit does cut right back on. I have avoided 4 accidents. I just got this truck 7/27/2019

Had owned our 2007 dodge durango for over 2 months, and had been driving it with no problems on snow, slush, etc.on dec 29th, 2009, i slowly pulled into my in-laws' driveway and was just about to come to a complete stop, when the car surged forward. I took my foot off the brake and hit brakes again, though it did slide into my father-in-law's car before i could stop.considering the slush, i thought perhaps i was confused in the commotion and maybe it was just a skid.however, the exact same thing happened the next day, at an intersection i was approaching at less than 5 mph.right at the moment the car "should" have stopped, it suddenly accelerated, and i had to again take my foot off the brake and then quickly press on it hard so that i would stop.thankfully the car approaching from the left had not yet reached the intersection yet.my sister-in-law also felt the surge and asked me what it was.i told her that it was what had happened the day before, but i didn't understand what was happening.that was over 2 months ago and it hasn't happened since, and from what i understand, taking it into the dealer probably won't do any good because it is not a consistently occurring problem and they likely won't be able to tell me what happened.however, i am still concerned about it, especially considering the recent brake failures/sudden acceleration incidences i am hearing about... I had never heard of it happening to anyone else before.

The windshield wiper will not turn on at all.sometimes the wipers will quit when driving, the mechanism needs to be wiggled and sometimes it will come on sometimes not.alot of times if you push the wash wiper button the wipers will come if the knob is turned to the on position.

My windshield wipers will intermittently not turn on, or go the speed which i have selected. My durango is only a 2007 and i have been told by mechanics at 3 different garages there is no way my vehicle is old enough to warrant this type of replacement. If i turn the left turn signal on and complete a turn that switches the turn signal off that is the only way to get the wipers to stay on. They also work for the windshield wiper cleaning but turn back off once that process is complete. We had to drive 300 miles in a bad rainstorm as we were traveling when this first occurred. Now they work for the most part, but occasionally they won't work so this is definitely some kind of issue that dodge needs to fix. There are posts all over the internet about this same problem. There is obviously an issue with either the switch or the wiring system.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango. While traveling 60 mph, the front end of the vehicle began to shake uncontrollably without warning. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the front driver side tire rod fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.
