Takata recall, contacted dealer to replace airbag they said i was on a waiting list and as they received parts would notify me when my name comes up but it has been over a year.

Received recall notice in december, 2014 advising of recall on airbags due to failure caused by exposure to absolute humidity.have made multiple attempts over the past four months to get vehicle into be repaired only to be advised that manufacturer has not provided parts.contacted chrysler recall today (04/15/15) and no estimated date for parts available.in short, manufacturer has identified a known problem with the airbags and has lacked diligence in making parts available.

I took my car in to kendall dodge for the safety recall on part # r25/nhtsa 15v-313 (which is part of my airbag) to be replaced and the service department is saying that the recall could not be completed because there is "clock spring connector tab part # 107300 that is damaged and they are refusing to fix this. My concern is obviously that the service department is claiming that if my car in an accident my airbag will not deploy.it appears that this car was in a front end collision and someone tampered with the airbag (glued all the back together) in order to hide damage. How is that possible? is this not something that required inspection prior to sale?

While driving the durango stalls and loses all powere. Normally happens when showing down.the durango does not start up right away and headlights and hazard lights stop working. The other day it stalled at 5am in the morning while cross a busy traffic light.it was dark and the hazards and headlights did not work.i was scared someone would hit me.it started up about 6 minutes later which felt like a lifetime.this durango has always had a history of staling and starting back up but this was the first time i realized how much of a safety issue this was due to having no lights or hazards and being stuck in the middle of a traffic light.

At the finish of fueling the gas tank spits about a quart or two of gas, straight out of the tank.this just started about 1 1/2 months ago.the vehicle has 65000 miles, therefore out of warranty.i'm the only owner of this vehicle. I purchased the car new. This didn't use to happen.and this is my expense to fix???this seems very unsafe.gas spewing everywhere.in addition to the gas tank i also had to have the "instrument panel cluster" replaced.all gauges went crazy, no turn indicators, all beepers beeping, all gauge lights on, couldn't tell what gear i was in because all gear lights lit up, no windshield wipers, no fan, heater or defrost.turned the car off and lights and gauges and lights were still lit up!like the car was possessed.i disconnected the battery cable and the car seemed to reset.only lasted 100 miles before the same symptoms recurred.to the shop the car goes..."instrument panel cluster" out at 62000 miles. Cost about $800...out of warranty by 10000 miles.now the fueling issue.wow!not good.

The crankshaft position sensor consistently going bad , due to faulty wiring harness or other issues. This will cause the vehicle to randomly shut off while either sitting or driving , and the its unknown as to why it is happening.suggested repair is to just replace , but i replace 1 a year . I have replaced 6 in the last 5 years of owning this vehicle. Dealership is unable to locate the problem to why the cps keeps failing .

Constant problems with turn signals failing to work properly.sometimes they will blink for a second or two and other times they will not work at all or even blink in the opposite direction.this is a considerable highway safety hazard and could lead to a severe traffic crash.this has been occurring inconsistently over the past year or so.there have also been numerous instances when the power windows would not work properly and also when you would try to use the high beam headlights it would cause the windshield washer fluid to activate and not dim or engage the high beam headlights.

I purchased a brand new 2007 dodge durango on 9/21/07 from hatch motor company in snowflake, az.i had this vehicle for 1 1/2 weeks when it started giving me problems and i reported it to the company and they told me to bring it in.the gas gauge, hazard lights, signal lights, high and low beam lights went out.when i took the vehicle in, they checked it and they said it was the cluster box and they had to ordera new one.i asked them if they could provide me with a rental because the truck was hazardous to drive home.they told me that they could not provide me one unless i purchased the "chrysler contract"or unless i paid for one.i did not have any money at the time because i had to make a down payment for the vehicle.i explained my situation to them and they still would not provide one for me.this was suppose to be a brand new vehicle.i had to drive my truck back home which is over 250 miles in the dark with my three children.they would not help me in any way.i thought i would report this to you due to the serious hazard and they let me drive it home.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango 4x4. The contact stated that while driving at 30 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the failure was unable to be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 160,000.

Vehicles 4x4 lock turned on by itself while driving down the street and now it is hard to start the vehicle as i have to press the gas to start the vehicle and makes the rpms jump randomly while driving and in idle, and i bought it from a dealer 3 days ago.

The durango cuts off while driving. We have taken it to the dealership (or had it towed) 6 times in the past 7 months for the same problem. The issue is still not fixed. We lose the ability to steer or brake when the engine cuts off.

Approximately 3 weeks ago, i had my durango in the dealership for repairs.they put in a new solenoid and electrical computer parts on the engine to the costly tune of $2903.on sunday, december 14th, apparently the engine has now spun a bearing/thrown a rod.they tell me it is going to require a new engine and all of the new parts that were put in 3 weeks ago will come out with the defective engine.i'll have to pay for it all over again.help please.this can't be happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2007 dodge durango limited that i purchased new 07/28/07from kari dodge chrysler jeep, 1177 us hwy 2 e, kalispell, mt 59901.it is still under warranty; this will expire 07/28/10.since about march 1st, 2010 it has been stalling and lunging at low speeds; which my husband and i thought was condensation in the gas line, but it finally died on the oncoming lane of traffic 03/16/10.so i call kari dodge 03/17/10 and reported the problem. I brought it into kari dodge 03/18/10 and they claim the fixed the problem, so i picked it up and drove it through the weekend.on 03/22/10 i called kari again and reported to them the durango is still stalling/hesitating/lunging.i brought it in again 03/23/10 and by the time i got to work and kari 17 miles later i was just shaking and sick to my stomach. So far the durango has been in and out of kari dodge three times and will go in again 04/12/10.each time they call me they say it's ready.i pick it up and continues to stall and lunge.they claim several people have driven it and even their service manger, mike, could not get the durango to do what we say it's doing.my husband and i have once again driven the durango all weekend after kari dodge has said it is ready and is totally unacceptable.we had a friend drive it today and it did the very same thing we are saying it does. The durango has a major problem.i'm scared to drive it.we (my husband and i )could be in a very serious accident or be rear ended. I have a case number started with chrysler customer assistance center #[xxx] and i have also logged a complaint with the ftc -ref#[xxx].i have kept a pretty good journal this past month in regards to kari dodge and my durango.they can't seem to fix the problem.kari dodge always asks me it the check engine light comes on----it does not.kari dodge also always asks me if i warm it up every morning- i always do. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Brought truck in for engine light on & no power on march 9, 2013...claimed spark plugs put in by manufacturer were 30,000 miles plugs....who does that anymore.while doing the tune up, mechanic noticed fluid dripping.power steering pump was leaking.put new pump in (march 12, 2013) which seemed to be bad.ordered another pump (arrived march 15, 2013) which worked but the rack in pinion steering blew seals on both ends.ordered part which took several days to come in (hopefully march 20, 2013).the mechanic believes the rack in pinion was not right from the beginning.this would account for the front tires wearing quickly & funny.it would also account for the noise heard on the passenger side front end when hitting bumps.both these issues were brought to the dealerships attention prior but nothing was done.claimed they didn't hear the sound when test driving.hopefully this will be resolved today march 20, 2013.this is one of many major problems we have had with this vehicle.at least we were smart & bought the extended warranty when we purchased the vehicle.we now know if we bring the vehicle in for a simple repair, an entire system will be replaced.

It appears in warm weather, the signaling system malfunctions. They will not function for left or right signals and hazard lights do not operate. When you placed the signal on it clicks very quickly and sounds as if something is frying, then it shuts off. When you try the signal again, it does not work at all.

When filling my 2007 dodge durango with gas at many stations, the nozzle shuts off but then about half a quart of gas "burps" back out of the tank down the side of the truck and onto the ground.

When filling the tank on my 2007 durango 5.7l 4x4 the auto fuel shut off doesn't work resulting in a major fuel spill.this is an environmental concern as well as a thermal event hazard (fire hazard).happens at all gas stations that i've used in the last 5 fill-ups.i now have to turn the electrical on to view the fuel gage on the dashboard and stop the delivery pump manually.

Fuel overflows (sprays back) from fuel tank when filling.

When you fill up the gas tank and the nozzle shuts off, gas shoots back out of the fill tube connected to the tank.

Everytime i try to fill the gas tank, it spews gas back out at me.the automatic pump shutoff will trip followed immediately by a bunch of gas squirting back out of the vehicle.this cannot be safe.

When fueling my durango, the gas pump will kick off but a short time later gas will spill/spray out of the filler neck.i have tried various gas pumps and pump rates all resulting in the same actions, usually a gas soaked sleeve, gas running down the side of the vehicle, and a puddle on the ground.it is to the point my wife is scared to fuel our durango.i have called the dodge dealership and they seem to not know anything about such problems.chrysler needs to take note of this and do something about it before it results in a serious accident or death.

This started about2 months ago.when i fill up my 2007 durango with fuel, the second it is done filling, the fuel comes back out of the tank onto the ground and the side of the car.i have tried filling it manually and the same thing happens.i took it to dodge and they said the only way to fix it is with a new gas tank, $785.00!!my car has 45,000 miles on it and is out of warranty. No way can i afford that kind of money right now so i told them to forget it.i see now where there was a recall for this problem on the 2005 durangos and 2006 -2008's are having the same problem.

Gas comes out of top of gas fill after the automatic pump clicks off. This was a similar issue on the 2005 dodge durangos which had a limited recall. This is very dangerous for the gas spews out of the fill inlet all over me and the ground.

When filling my 2007 dodge durango with gas, the gas overflows out the filler tube. This results in a large amount of gas spilling on the vehicle and on to the ground. This is very dangerous and needs to be addressed asap. This vehicle does not have any open recalls.

When you fill up the gas tank and the nozzle shuts off, gas shoots back out of the filler tube.

My 2007 dodge durango 4x4 limited overflows gasoline at the fuel filler neck each time i allow the auto-shutoff to fill the tank.this problem started at approximately 55,000 miles.the fuel shutoff always works, but a second or so later, a large spray of pressurized fuel squirts out of the filler neck from around the fuel nozzle.again, this happens every time the vehicle is filled, no matter what gas station and no matter what temperature or prior fuel level.it has happened continually for the past two years.i can prevent the overspray by shutting off the fuel before the tank is full and allowing the nozzle to stand for 20 seconds before removing it. The dodge dealerships i have talked to do not believe it is happening.this is a fire-safety issue and needs to be investigated.

My 2007 dodge durango 4x4 started throwing back gasoline from the filler tube.this started occurring about 4-6 weeks ago and now happens everytime i fill the tank.does not make any difference where, when, or if i hold the nozzle or not.sometimes the gas comes back with enough force to get all over my clothes and shoes.very dangerous situation.i read about the same problem with '05 durangos and called chrysler. They acted like they didn't know what i was talking about and told me to take it to the dealer.i have made an appointment at al west chrysler for mar. 25, 2010.when i explained the problem to the service writer, he also acted like i was the first person with this problem.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango 4x4. The contact stated the when refueling the vehicle, gasoline fuel would spew back out of the fuel tank uncontrollably. The contact stated that approximately one half gallon of gasoline would spew out of the fuel tank and had been a recurring failure for approximately seven months.the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the failure where the contact was advised that the fuel tank would need replacing.the contact referenced nhtsa campaign id number: 09v003000 (fuel system, gasoline:storage:tank assembly) which applied to the 2005 model but not the 2007 model yet the dealer and manufacturer agreed to assist with fifty percent of the repair costs. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 41,000 and the approximate current mileage was 51,000.

I own a 2007 dodge durango and it has begun spitting out the fuel if i attempt to fill the tank.besides being frustrating this is a serious accident waiting to happen.my durango is no longer under warranty and i currently can not afford to pay to have the issue diagnosed.however, i have joined a dodge forum and this problem is occurring on several durangos to include the 2005, 2006, and 2007 models.this should be a recall on all models. Apparently in the past this same issue was reported in the 2005 model and a recall was generated.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango 4x4. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle began to shake violently. The contact drove to the side of the road and noticed that the front passenger's side wheel was pointng outward, away from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer who stated that the failure was contributed to a loose tie rod. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. There was a recall possibly related to the failure under nhtsa campaign id number 06v386000 (steering); and the contact planned to notify the dealer to verify whether the vin was included. In addition, whenever refueling, a substantial amount of fuel would spray out of the filler neck. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000. The vin was unavailable.

Fuel spill occurs every time tank is filled. When pump senses tank is full, it shuts off and moments later fuel spouts out of car from fill tube. This occurs even when filling slowly.car was purchased in 3/20/11; this is on ongoing problem from day one.

I own a 2007 dodge durango.at the conclusion of gas tank fill-up gas squirts out of tank opening. Covers side of car and anyone standing beside gas nozzle with gas, and also heavy pounding on the ground.approximately 1/2 gallon discharges under pressure.this has been occurring over the past 3-4 weeks at several different gas stations.i contacted my local chrysler/dodge dealer and was told that this was not a defect covered by recall.they provided me with a phone number for chrysler 888-992-1997.i contacted them and they confirmed that this is not a covered recall.they did however take my complain and will have a service rep. Contact me regarding it.

Gas spews from the filler nozzle st the end of filling up the vehicle with fuel. Vehicle is a 2007 dodge durango.

My vehicle has around 52,000 miles on it and was fine until about a week ago.my wife was fueling up the car and was doused with gas about 5 seconds after the automatic shut off engaged on the fuel pump.i thought it was a fluke thing, but then it happend again and again.the 2005 durangos are under a recall for the exact same problem, so they obviously completely ignored the problem.this is a huge safety hazzard for human life/ health and the environment!

Fuel spills out of 2007 dodge durango when refilling. The fuel pump shuts off but about of fuel blows back out of gas tank, onto side of vehicle and onto ground.

2007 dodge durango that now lets gas spill out when filling.we never had a problem before but after 3.5 years of ownership it now spills about a quart of gas out the filler tube all over the side of the truck before the pump clicks off.this is a huge safety hazard and can damage the paint below the filler tube.

Gas sprays out of filler tube 3 to 5 feet after the gas pump shuts off.started at about 40,000 miles. I have a 2007 dodge durango 4.7 lt, 4wd.it happens every time i fill up the gas tank.the car has about 43,000 miles.dealer says there is no recal and i have to pay.there was a recal for the 2005 durango.

Fuel spill occurs every time tank is filled.when pump senses tank is full, it shuts off and moments later fuel spouts out of car from fill tube.this occurs even when filling slowly.in new york most stations are self service and require you hold the trigger of pump nozzle; one's hand (or worse)is frequently sprayed with fuel.car was purchased in 12/10; this is on ongoing problem from day one.

I have a 2007 dodge durango and i am experiencing problems when i attempt to fill the vehicle up with fuel. Just after the gas pump nozzle clicks off, gas sprays back out of the fuel cap and onto the side of the car, the ground and me if i'm standing to close. I have found a video of this issue online via youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs5u63cn-iiplease take the time to watch this as it clearly depicts the safety issue involved.i have taken the vehicle to my local chrysler / dodge garage and they are stating that the rollover check valve on the tank is stuck and needs to be replaced. They state that the part is not under warranty and will cost $835.

Failed check valve in fuel tank on my 2007 dodge durango caused fuel to overflow and splash out of the filler neck when full.extreme safety hazard to all in the vicinity, including the service station if ignited by a accidental source.

My 2007 dodge durango does not shut off when filling it with gas. I just purchased it in may 2010and everytime i get gas i have to very careful because it does not shut off and begins to spew gas. It has happened at multiple gas stations and has happened to family members driving my vehicle. I am concerned that with the amount of gas it spews that it may spark a fire or worse yet someone get doused with gasoline. It is quite a spew. Even when i manually pump it will still spew. It is very scary! this shouldn't happen!

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango 4x4 limited. The contact stated that when refueling, gasoline would spill from the filler neck. The failure was recurring.the determined malfunction was a faulty fuel check valve. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 18,000. ..updated 04-29-14

Every time i fill up the gas tank thinking the pump will stop on its own, it does not. Gas flies out of the tank down the side and all over the ground.no way to stop this, no mater how fast u fill up it still does this. This is dangerous since their is a stop in the tank for this purpose so if your in a accident fuel does not spill.

As with the 2005 durangos & the many 2007 durango complaints, i too have issues with the fuel spewing out from the filler neck after the pump has shut off.the automatic shut off (fuel intake check valve) is not functioning properly & allows quite a bit of fuel to shoot out from the vehicle.this is not only a safety concern, but it has also caused the paint on my vehicle to begin bubbling up, which will eventually cause a rusting issue.i have to use the windshield cleaner brush at the pump station to wipe the excess fuel off my vehicle to prevent any further bubbling.this problem needs reported & a recall issued.it's ridiculous!

When filling my 2007 dodge durango with gas, the gas overflows out the filler tube. This results in a large amount of gas spilling on the vehicle and on to the ground. This is very dangerous and needs to be addressed asap. This vehicle does not have any open recalls.

While filling our 2007 dodge durango, it routinely overflows gasoline from the fuel tank. We have owned this vehicle since new (aug. 2007) and this also has done this to varying degrees. It happens regardless what station we happen to fill up at. Once the pump's automatic shutoff kicks off the fuel, approximately a 2 seconds later a gush of fuel comes spewing out of the filler nozzle. Until recently i thought these occurrences were due to the pumps, but i have seen videos and read other reports of exact occurrences on other like-durangos. This is a very hazardous condition that so far dodge has not corrected for us.

2007 dodge durango overflows fuel when filling gas tank. The vehicle has begun doing it each time it is filled up with fuel, regardless of gas station. This began happening about 1 month ago. The spilled fuel on the ground presents fire and environmental hazards.

Our 2007 durango started having fuel spit back at about 40,000 miles.this happens every time a complete fill is performed.the spit back is a significant amount, spraying back out of the fill nozzle and running down the side of the vehicle onto the ground.a short time prior to the 1st occurrence of spit back the loose gas cap indicator illuminated, although the cap was verified as closed.

At the finish of fueling the gas tank spits about a quart or two of gas, straight out of the tank.this just started about 1 1/2 months ago.the vehicle has 65000 miles, therefore out of warranty.i'm the only owner of this vehicle. I purchased the car new. Cost about $800...out of warranty by 10000 miles.now the fueling issue.wow!not good.

When filling my 2007 dodge durango up with gas, the gas over flows and shoots out of the filler inlet after the pump has shut off spewing gas everywhere including on my person. My durango has 45,000 miles on it and has just started doing this the past 1.5 months. This happens at all pumps and even happens when shutting off the pump by hand.

When fueling, the vehicle overflows, the gas pump won't shut off and gas spews from the filler neck.happens almost all the time when filling the fuel tank full.could be a fire hazard and also bad for the paint.

My 2007 dodge durango slt started overflowing during pumping gas about 6 months ago.once the tank fills up, it shoots about 500 ml of gas out of the tank before the pump shuts off.i first thought it was the pump, so i tried different station and different pumps and always the same result.i also tried to fill up the tank about 90% of the way, pull out the pump to let it vent, and then continue pumping after the tank was vented.this didnt help.this is a very serious problem.i shoots a half liter of gas onto the ground that soakes into the ground, pools on the ground, and runs all over the car.if someone was smoking or something sparked, a lot of people can be killed.it should be a recall!this has happend to me at least 20 times, in the last 6 months to some degree even while knowing it is going to happen.something needs to happen.

Gas spews back out of the filler neck when full all over the side of the vehicle, the unaware person filling, and the ground, causing an environmental and fire hazard.

When fueling once tank is full and pump shuts off, a moderate amount of gasoline will spew from the filler neck.even if you slow the pump to a very slow rate before it becomes completely full you can hear the air releasing from the tank and without warning it still spills.this has occurred the entire time i have owned the vehicle, and even while under warranty dealer stated their was nothing they could do besides insist i not fill completely up.anywhere from a footprint size puddle to a puddle covering the rear axle length of vehicle occurs.after installing dual exhaust on vehicle i am very nervous of letting this continue and risk gasoline spilling onto hot pipe igniting a fire, let alone any clearcoat damage that may have already been done to paint.lots of complaints here as well as elsewhere on numerous dodge forums.please assist.

When filling up gas tank, a good amount gas spills out after pump shuts off. There was a recall issued for 2005 durango for this exact failure, but the recall does not cover my 2007 durango.i have read of many other failures for 2006-2008 durangos on the internet, so dodge has not fixed this.

When filling the gas tank with auto shut off nozzle it will spit back a cup or more of gas when it shuts off. This is with vehicle standing still. It does it everytime with any fuel pump.

When refueling gas pumps automatically stop too late resulting in fuel spilling out.this happens at different gas stations. This started happening a few years ago sporadically but now happens every time it is refueled.

When fueling you have to shut off gas before full because gas will not shut off and spray out. The vehicle is stationary when putting in fuel. This happens at every fueling i have to make sure and shut off before the tank is full.

Every single time we fill up the tank on my 2007 dodge durango 4x4 limited gas overflows. There is enough force that it usually sprays out. I estimate that 1/4 to 1/2 gallon of gasoline sprays out of the tank onto the body of the car and the ground. This is not only extremely inconvenient but also very dangerous to myself and other gas station patrons! although none is noticeable yet, there will surely be eventual paint damage on the affected are of the body.

Upon fueling the vehicle a significant amount of gas would spew out getting hands/clothes/ground wet with gasoline.this happens at erratic times, never a rhyme or reason. Looked into the problem when it first occurred and saw no recall information. Now vehicle is reading a p0430 code, o2 sensors.i am thinking there must be a connection as i am reading several complaints in the same nature with it being connected to the same engine code. Taking to a dealer next week.

When using the parking brake on a hill, there does not seem to be much tension when pressing the pedal to the floor.when releasing the brake, it does release, however the "brake" dash light stays on even after repeated pullings of the brake release handle.the brake does engage/disengage, as i've tested it on level ground.

I was traveling on i99 southbound and all of a sudden my vehicle downshift from 4th gear to 3rd. I pulled over to investigate but couldn't find anything wrong. I turned the vehicle off waited about 5 minutes and turned my vehicle back on. I positioned the gear shift lever to drive (d) and started driving again. I noticed a lack of acceleration as though the transmission was stuck in a high gear. I had the transmission fluid drained, the filters replaced and had the transmission refilled with new transmission fluid. I check the transmission fluid level each week to see if i have a leak but no leaks were detected. This has been a continuing problem and the dealer quote me a figure over $2000. I am a disabled vietnam veteran and live on my disability right now. I cannot afford this expensive repair.

The vehicle suddenly accelerated out of control causing it's speed to increase resulting in crash into a fixed structure. I purchased the vehicle new in 2007 and after nearly 2 years in april 2009 the gas pedal began to stick and make a clicking noise. The dodge dealer found the problem and replaced the entire pedal assembly under warranty. Nearly in the same time period again 2+ years later in nov. 2011, the gas pedal apparently stuck again but this time the vehicle accelerated out of control resulting in an accident.

2007 durango with hemi engine. The 4lo light flashes and, you can hear it switch under the car even when it is off. When, i unlock my doors you can hear it again. When you switch the dial over to 4lo the svc 4wd light just blinks.while driving this engaged as i was making a turn it almost stalled me while traffic was coming.

Driving in a parking lot and vehicle shifted into 4x4 low on its own. Shifted back out of 4x4 a few minutes later. Started driving it again and it shifted into 4x4 and as i made a turn, it shifted into 4x4 low. Stayed in 4x4 low for about 30 seconds and jumped back out of 4x4 low. Not sure if it jumped into 4x4 or regular all wheel drive. Went to turn into my drioveway and it again shifted into 4x4 low. Unexpectadly shifting into 4x4 or 4x4 low when driving.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango 4x4. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 mph and attempting a turn, the transmission failed to respond. The fwd indicator began to illuminate intermittently. The gear lever was shifted into neutral and then drive in order to maneuver the vehicle to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where the transfer case motor was replaced. The failure recurred seven months after the repair was performed. The dealer informed the contact that the failure was contributed to a faulty transfer case actuator however, the vehicle could not be repaired because the part needed to complete the repair was on backorder. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 74,900.

The service 4wd light has been coming on and going back off. It is an awd model durango. I've read forums and a lot of people are having this problem. The transfer case will sometimes shift into full time 4wd on its own, you can here the transfer case shifting with the vehicle off, when you activate the power locks. But last night on the freeway at 70 mph it decided to shift into 4wd low on its own, my engine went up to 6000 rpm on the tach and i lost speed, almost lost control of the vehicle. I thought the drive train was going to blow up. I think there should at least be a recall on this problem, due to safety.

The vehicle was operating at highway speed when the right front tie rod broke at the knuckle. There was no warning, abnormal tire wear or damage prior to the failure. The vehicle was on a eight lane highway and was able to get off the road with out a crash. The wheel sustained substantial damage from the loose tie rod end.

I bought this vehicle new in 2007. I have only had minor problems until this began. The vehicle idle began fluctuating while sitting still. It would rev to 2000 rpms and drop and nearly stall. It doesn't happen regularly, so i wasn't concerned. Then it stalled on my wife in the drive thru. I cleaned the throttle body and replaced all spark plugs and coil packs at around 60000. This had little or no effect. We continued to drive for a few months and then this problem began. My wife called and stated it lost power steering and throttle, but the engine was still running. She turned it off and restarted and everything was fine. I thought she had mistaken because the ac and some gauges will operate if the key is on but engine is off. Then it happened while i was driving. I was running 60 mph and it cut out. I lost all power steering and could hear the engine running, but had no power at the accelerator. I shifted to neutral and restarted and everything was fine. In that few seconds, i dropped to 35 mph. Had this been on the interstate, it could have been tragic.i checked online because i have no clue what would cause this other than a computer issue and found others have had the same issue. I will be calling my dealer to find a cause. My wife is afraid to drive the vehicle now with our four sons in the car until this is fixed. I completely understand her point. There is no way she will be able to muscle the car to the side of the road if this happens to her. It is only a matter of time until a family is rear ended on the interstate because the vehicle stalls. It's very confusing because the vehicle is running, but no power steering and no response from the accelerator. This vehicle will now be sitting in my garage until a remedy is found.

Vehicles 4x4 lock turned on by itself while driving down the street and now it is hard to start the vehicle as i have to press the gas to start the vehicle and makes the rpms jump randomly while driving and in idle, and i bought it from a dealer 3 days ago.

Tire valve on 2007 dodge durango corrodes causing loss of pressure .

2007 dodge durango. All 4 valve stems, metal is corroded. One valve stem broken off at the threads when filling tire with air. Tire dealer says they know of issues with corroding on valve stems with tpms but doesn't seem to be covered under warranty or recall/tsb... I cannot put air in one tire.

Valve stem on wheel corroded and threaded portion broke off when removing protective cap.inner spring-valve then came out and entire tire deflated.1 of the other 3 also looks corroded.

The contact owns a 2007 dodge durango with mopar valve stems, serial number:881f6d3c part number: 1-560294658b. The tire mechanic was repairing the flat tire which resulted from a defective valve stem. He stated that there is a sensor inside the wheel with an aluminum valve stem which deteriorated. He also stated that the core is made out of the incorrect type of metal. Each valve stem cost $52.00 per tire. There was no recall on the valve stem. The mileage was not available. This vehicle seems to have a known gas tank issue. I can not fill up without about a cup or so of gasoline spitting out over car and ground. I did some online research and found many other people with this same vehicle are experiencing the same problem. Did speak with local dodge dealer about it, but they denied any factory defect. Seems like there should have been a recall on this issue, on several years of the durango.

Takata recall. My 2007 dodge durango limited 4.7l 4x4 has been cutting off when the vehicle is sitting still as well as cutting off while going down the road then the check engine light comes on as well as the esp/bas and slippery road light. I've had this issue for a couple years and the computer says air flow sensor detected. This is very dangerous issue and makes it impossible to trade in cause no dealership wants a part of it cause there's no recall for the issue. Any help or guidance with what the issue could be to fix it would be of great help thank you.

The wiper/turn signal multifunction switch failed not allowing wipers to turn on during a rain storm at highway speeds. The turn signal now also doesnt work properly. This is a known problem according to my google searches on this.
