I drove my 2000 dodge 3500 cummins diesel with 85000 miles to work and turned it off when i came back it would not start. Chrysler refused to help. I then had the vp44 injector pump replaced at a cost of $1550.00 to me. Chrysler told me that the engine was still under warranty by cummins but the pump was not covered even though it had cummins name on it.

1) front end ball joints needed repair-brought in for check because of news story2) door/alarm switches malfunctioned and had to be disabled to prevent alarm from going off. All switches replaced and was succesful though advised it could have been the control chip and unable to determine which, so it was a financial gamble to repair.

I have a 2000 dodge durango and when the vehicle goes over 15 mph the doors automaticallyclose by power door locks. Earlier this year the front door passenger side went out but i could open the door manually. I had it fixed by tash dodge in elkhorn for $150. A few months ago the front driver side went out and the same thing occured. I had it fixed and another $150. This past week the read driver side door went out and it will not allow me to open the door manually or with the control. I have to hit it many times before it will open (sometimes). I contacted dodge and told them that this is a safety hazzard as if someone must exit the rear seat in an accident or fire or some other problem, they are unable to. They said that because the vehicle was out if warrenty that they could not do anything to take care of my problem. I asked to just have them disconect the power lock in the rear door so that it could be manually opened and they will not do that. I feel that this is a flaw in the product that presents a safety hazzard that they should repair. My daughter has a 2000 durango that also had to have a door lock replaced and she now is getting another one that isn't working right. I don't know how many others arev out there with a similar problem.

My wife was driving our 2000 dodge ram 1500 4x4 pickp truck on a freeway when the hood of the truck released.the hood bent backwards and smashed into the windshield. My wife was able to use the sideview mirrors to direct the vehicle to the shoulder. The dealership is in the process of replacing the front hood, windshield, rearview mirror, fix fenders, fix the passenger door, and replace the hood latches.

Numerous frint end problems, mainly ball joints. Dealer would just lubicate the joints and send me on my way. Its been almost 5 years and problem is still there. Front end is not tight and ball joints were never properly fixed. Also, seat belt failed to operate during an accident in 2002 which flung my daughters car seat into the back of the front passanger and landing her in the hospital.

Consumer is driving a 2000, dodge 1-ton truck and is experiencing steering control problems.there is 3 to 4 inches of play insteering wheel when driving, causingvehicle to move all over the road.

This vehicle will upon sometime be suggect to roll-over at any time!!!! thank you very much for your concerns.travel has been restricted due to this disconcerns of the dealer and manufacturer .

The steering gear box has not failed or may not even be the problem.on (2) different times while making a right hand turn on a curving mountain road, when you turn back to the left, just past center the steering locks and you can steer the truck.on the first lockup about (6) months ago, i was traveling up hill and made a sharp right turn through a switch back turn at about ( 5 to 10) mph.when i turned the steering wheel back to the left to correct from the turn, the wheel locked just past center.i was able to stop before running off the side of the mountain.at this point when i turned the wheel right, then left, it turned to the left just fine.the (2nd) time this happened i was not so lucky.on 6-07-02 while pulling a trailer in the mountains on a narrow mountain road, i came through a right turn down a slight grade and into a left hand curve at about (25 or 30) mph when before i knew it the steering was locked and i was driving off the road.i hit the clutch and the brake, pulled the steering wheel both hands trying to turn left and the wheel did not move.the trailer had braking on all wheels and did slide.the truck has anti-lock brakes and did not slide.by the time i got stopped i was completely off the road in the ditch.this got my attention, i was lucky there was a ditch to drive into.if this would have been in a place where there was no shoulder on the road or things such as traffic, big boulders, guard rails, or bridge pillars, not being able to steer away from them is a satety problem to me.

My 2000 dodge ram 1500 pickup truck has a cracked dash, and this has resulted in largest pieces of the dashboard to break completely off.i now have huge holes where a dash is supposed to be.this is creating a safety hazard in the truck as it has exposed components under the dash.i have had many, many cars and trucks in my lifetime, and have kept many of these cars and trucks for more than 10-15 years, and none has ever had a dashboard crack.when i contacted chrysler they say they are going to do nothing about it.obviously, due to the huge number of complaints, this is a defective component of dodge ram trucks.

Dash is cracking into sharp pieces that fall into interior of the dash. I have concern for the wiring and airbag.

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 & the dash has completely cracked & chunks have broken free & are floating around under the remaining parts of the dash panel. This problem has been a gradual process & the dash has become more cracked as time has gone on.

On the passenger side doors. The main door has rust bubbles under the factory paint at the bottom. The smaller door has 2 -3inch cracks side by side. This truck has had both a factory under coat and another under coat just 1 year ago. But the cause of these 2 problems look like it came from the factory.

Dodge diesel 1 ton 4x4 2000,went through a set of tiresevery 15,000 miles.the vehicle was taken to the dealer for front tire wear.the dealer was told my the manufacturer to tell the consumer to have the tires rotated every 6000 miles.the consumer believes this is not normal maintenance.the consumer explained that the truck has never driven as it should, instead it wandered from side to side while driving.the

On my 2000 dodge dakato pick-up truck, the ball joint popped out while driving. I tried to contact dodge on october 31, 2003, to inform them that their must be some kind of problem with the part. They replied and said,"after thoroughly reviewing your request and the files on this matter, werespectfully concur with the decision rendered by our senior staff and that there is no defect on their ball joints.watching the cbs evening news, i now find that there is an investigation being done by the nhtsa with the dodge durango, and that you also claim the same problem is occuring with the dodge dakato.if this is true, what can i do to help!
