The air bags on this car failed to deploy from a bad car accident. My car was hit near the right front from a person that ran a red light.the front end damage was horrible to say the least as to where the insurance adjuster said to me that the car has to be totaled. Extensive frame damage from this accident and driver and passenger air bad never deployed for some unknown reason.the consumer owns another vehicle same make/model and questions if the vehicle is safe to drive due to the previous vehicle failing.
On 3/7/2019, i totaled my car as i was t-boned. This accident broke my axle, and dented in my drivers side rear door to the point where i could not open it. My 5 year old daughter was in the backseat and smacked her face off of the seat and window bruising the whole side of her face and giving her a black eye. For some reason, no airbag was deployed. I was hopeful at first, that maybe it didn't deploy since it was a "small" accident, but now that the car is deemed a total loss, i feel like something is obviously wrong with this situation. When i was t-boned, i was driving through a stop sign (after making my stop) to which i did not see a car on the other side of a car turning towards me. This car was going approx 30-40 mph (if following street signs). This car's airbags deployed, yet my daughters, on her door, failed to deploy. This car did not hit me until i was almost to the other side of the street. I also saw her at the last minute and instead of breaking (a normal reaction) i tried to speed up to avoid the accident. If the safety information online is correct, it states that the airbag sensor for the side-rear impact is between the tire and the rear door, which is exactly where i was hit.
On a daily bases my car will not start. (mornings before work, evenings after work, when ever i stop the car and come back to it.) i must start the car with a jump machine whenever i turn it off.today the radio started going out.once the radio goes out it feel like it wants to cut off in motion, on the street.
Upon driving the car on the freeway yesterday, the 2016 dodge dart started to shake and the car would not slow down.the passenger front wheel control arm, tire, and cv joint completely feel off the vehicle which caused an accident.
At 61000 miles my dodge dart sxt has a service airbag system alarm pop up. I contacted two dealerships but they said there was no recall or open warranty for this. As it's airbags, a safety issue i pushed the subject a little harder with dodge themselves and they said the same thing. Safety in my opinion should be first, and upon further research this has happened quite a bit to other dodge dart owners from 2013 to present with little to know knowledge why. Vehicle sits in my bark parked area and is driven very little so shouldn't actively have issues like this occur.

Furthermore, the battery was replaced and the contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 19v293000 (power train). The contact wanted to return the vehicle under the lemon law. The manufacturer stated that they had no remedy for the failures that should have been covered under the warranty. The contact had to settle with an attorney. The backup camera was not repaired. The failure mileage was 300. Consumer stated radio now out with no ability to work on a/c control back up camera or any features such as navigator a/c control. In shop again on 7-1 til present 7-6-19.
The vehicles gauges make a noisy clicking sound after you turn off the vehicle. The lights on the dash and the lights on the steering wheel toggle on and off while this is happening.it continues for 30 to 60 minutes. You can take the key our and it still does it. This prevents me from taking any rest stop when drowsy and has nearly killed me.the noise keeps the driver awake when they try to stop and sleep.it forces the driver to drive drowsy. The dealership is apparently unable to repair it.i bought the car used and it's done it ever since i bought it. It's the most dangerous car i have ever driven.
The key gets stuck in the ignition. Says it's in park but vehicle was not had to hit the shifter really hard to make sure was in park.

Car is stalling and is having a hard time not dying. Tested the engine codes and nothing came back, tested battary, starter and alternator. The heater only works sometimes. The sun roof opens on it's own and will not close.
I have been recently having issue with my 2016 dodge dart which i have only had for exactly a year this past oct. While driving in motion the car can just shut off. It has happened while on city streets as well as highways. I have torn my car to get testing where there is no code found and no lights come back on once the car starts up. I was told my battery was no good a couple months back replaced the battery and now car troubles again. I have been reading a lot of reviews where this is happening to a lot of people. This is extremely dangerous and i am in disbelief nothing has been done about this. The car shakes very uruptly at idle. You can look at the engine and see it's shaking at idle. If you turn the air conditioner on it gets worse. Radio screen will not work sometimes. Blue tooth will work then cut off then turn back on when it feels like it. Automatic headlights work then randomly not work where i have to turn them manually on. Wipers do the same as the headlights but to correct the issue for the wipers it takes turning off the car and turning it back on and out them on low. Engine will die randomly while driving the car at any speed. Gps will not load sometimes. The back up camera works when screen works but also fails when screen is working and while backing up. During take off the car will stall like no gas then it will go like it's getting gas. During cold it shifts really rough like your using a standard slamming it in gear. I have also has 2 misfire in 2 different cylinders. One was a coil pack the other was supposedly a loose connection. Took car in for all this and dealer said if their is no check engine nothing they can do even though they feel the car chair and can see the engine shaking. They tell me to come back in when light comes on. Light switch has been replaced and still faults. Ecm and tcm habe been reprogrammed multiple times and problems still consist.
Every time the car is driven, the screen, blacks out and the radio shuts off.it then "reboots" and works for a little bit before the screen goes white and "reboots".also when this happens, the gauge cluster dims to the point where it is barely visible.some commutes, it only happens once or twice, others, its seems like its every 5 minutes or so.it happens at random times, accelerating, turning, at a stop, etc.
Power train & sensors related issues: i was driving on the highway@ 45mph in traffic & all of a sudden the speed idle down to 13mph in traffic without me pressing the gas pedal, i placed my emergency flashers on to let cars behind me be aware i was experiencing problems with my vehicle. The engine symbol illuminated on the dash panel as with a lightening bolt symbol, the vehicle did a surge in speed without thegas pedal being pressed, jerked & surge in speed again & i had to press the brakes to safely pull out of traffic to gain composure of what was happening with the vehicle sudden erractic behavior. No warning before hand. I cut the vehicle off for several minutes. It cranked up & the engine light illuminated still but the lightening bolt symbol hadn't.i called to see of any recalls & there was a recall for the computer module software. I was givena case number for the vehicle from the recall associate to call the local dodge dealership & was told by one of the dodge service associates, his sheet didn't contain that recall& wasn't able toremedy the problem.
Multiple occurrence: car will stall while driving, losing brakes. The lights on dash will start flashing wildly and the wind shield wipers will start going on its own when turned off. Car will not start back again for a long while. The air system will not work-no heat or air conditioner, just stopped working. Very dangerous situation, car is unsafe. I'm not sure how it has a high rating in safety.
This 2016 dart gt has been in for service 13 times since it was purchased in march. The body connector has corroded twice and been replaced along with several corroded wires. The telematics module was also replaced after it tested inconsistent and working only 20% of the time (this is for the uconnect and bluetooth). If you hit 10mph sometimes it likes to accelerate without even touching the gas!while starting the car it now likes to say the keyfob has not been detected even when the key fob is right by the keyless start. The wireless receiver was replaced but it said key fob not detected again. This will make service visit #14! this car has serious computer/electrical issues. The keyfob not being detected issue could be deadly if it does it while the car is being driven and makes the car inoperable.

Turn signals day time lights keep burning
The clock and radio will cut out and when they do the odometer flashes. After hitting the cd player to eject the disc the clock will turn back on but the radio takes a little to start working again. Once the radio and clock are back on the odometer stops flashing. The longest it has done this was 2 weeks.
"takara recall" i started noticed squeaking when pressing the breaks. This automatically making me assume that my brakes/brake pads were going bad. I took it to a local shop and after checking it out they suggested the brakes were fine and that i needed to take it to the dealership. Before i was able to do so, i had complete brake failure. I was attempting to come to a stop when the brake pedal was pressed all the way down and the vehicle was not slowing nor were the brakes catching. Thus resulting in an accident. The dart is a total loss. My life as well as my children's lives were put in danger. All airbags deployed and another vehicle was hit as well.vin not valid
My dodge dart has done this several times now where it won't start early in the morning, typically on colder mornings. I'll try to start it and nothing happens, yet all my lights are working including radio and ac. I tried jumping thinking maybe it was the battery and still nothing. It's not turning over or clicking at all and the gauges are go crazy. I haven't been able to bring it to the shop but this seems to be an on going issue.
While driving this car at multiple speeds, the car slows down and comes to a complete stop, i hear a noise and the gas pedal vibrates, the steering and gas pedal locks up. This event has happened 3 times within four days leaving from my garage, on the interstate and a city street. The car was taken to the dealership lakeland chrysler dodge jeep ram and i was told the car was driven by the technician 11 miles and there was no incident and at this point the car can no longer be driven due to a gash in the tire. However, a multi-point inspection, oil change and tire rotation was done on the vehicle 8/22/2017 and a gash in the tire was not noted on any paperwork nor was it reported as a problem.

Takata recall. Car started fine drove about a 1/2 mile and turned them vehicle just died. Engine stopped dead in its tracks, ax still blowing just a little warm, radio continues to play, all lights are on as normal. But battery light is flashing. Put car in park in the middle of the road!! to restart, car starts right up and drives fine. No check engine light or any signs of problems.

My 2016 dodge dart overheats the rpm goes up and down when the car is in motion. On june 26 my car cut off on me in the middle of the road and it took me ten mins to start it up my check engine light keeps going on and off and every time i take it in they say its nothing wrong with it. My oil pressure light comes on and i have 100 percent oil in my car. When i put on brakes it acts like it doesnt want to stopso ihave to brake farther away from peoples cars.
The instrument cluster will lose power with all the computer's emergency lights illuminated on the dash. The speedometer and tachometer both read zero. I need to use the vehicle's on-board navigation system to estimate speed on long drives. The car still drives at interstate speeds with no speedometer/tachometer reading and every emergency light on the instrument cluster illuminated. The longest distance driven using the gps was at least 50 miles. Sometimes the error lasts for only 5 to 10 miles and then the speedometer/tachometer both start to function again.i have heard a popping sound and another time when this error occurred, i smelled a burning rubber smell. Turning on and off the ignition system once or twice, clears the error on the instrument cluster. We have taken the vehicle to the same stew hansen dodge dealer three times in the last 7 months and they cannot replicate the issue, but they can real all the error codes on their data loggers. There is a communication error between the pcm and the instrument cluster, as logged in the vehicle's computer.the dealer has attempted trouble-shooting with fca's star service and has attempted ground wire repairs and cleanings. The dealer indicated their dealership no longer could continue funding repairs to my vehicle, since they cannot replicate the exact issue and that i should make the selling dealer repair this electrical defect or lose ground wire issue.

I cranked my car up and backed it down the driveway with no problem. When i went to put it in drive it; the gear shift would move to to drive but the car would no shift in any other gear. Iā€™ve restarted it multiple times and it will no go into any gear only stays in park, but the gear shifter will move.
Braking system failure when trying to stop . Brakes would press down but not slow the vehicular down. The brakes would randomly fail when stopping on both highway and in urban areas. Along with that the computer would fail and the abs light,the engine light , and the traction control light would come on along with the battery light. All the lights in the vehicle vent out, the digital dashboard the touch screen everything that lights up went out. The motor almost died and started to sputter. When i accelerate it has no power then it will take off then no power. When i am stopped the idle is so low it almost dies and the entire car shakes very hard. This started while i was driving at about 30 mph.
I have a 2016 dodge dart with a 2.4 liter engine. The car has 16000 miles on it. Starting this week, the car sometimes will not start. I would put the key in the ignition, turn to start and nothing. All the lights on the dashboard come on but it won't turn over. I found out by accident if you move the shift lever through the gears it will start. At first i thought it was my fob needed a battery replacement, so i replaced it only to see that that was not the problem!
Re: s83 / nhtsa 16v-813 voltage spike in windshield washer pump.took 2016 dart to local dealership for recall work on 3/8/17.upon return of my vehicle, noticed an electrical arc sound, a loud bumping sound, when engaging the 'flash headlights' feature.the electrical arc sound never occurred prior to the recall work.the sound emits from under the hood where the head lamps are located.when i went back the next day to inquire about the new sound, the dealership tried three new darts on the lot that make the same noise.my complaint is to question the safety of the replacement part as prescribed by the recall notice.the dealer said it was normal, but this electrical arc sound has never occurred on any car i've ever been around during my 55 years.i want nhtsa to look into if the replacement part used on my car and put in darts manufactured recently is actually safe.is the electrical arc noise by design or does it indicate a need to recall the replacement part to avoid safety problems such as malfunction or fire?
On a city street, tried to accelerate at a stop light with the brake on. Would not accelerate turning left in oncoming traffic.intermittenly (hops) in motion exiting a highway, upon braking i traffic, stopped at a traffic light and in the driveway with the key removed. Tachometer has redlined (6500 rpm + ) moving in traffic at 46 mph on level road and upon take off from a red light. Tachometer has revved to 5500 rpm's on the down side of a hill when on cruse control multiple times when on the highway. The car has jerked severely driving down the highway at approximately 70 mph.intermittently the climate control has difficulty in making a decision on the selection i made and has taken approximately 5 min before the air ( fan ) will engage. All dash lights have flashed when the key fob was pushed to unlock the doors. The auto door locks have failed to lock properly and engaged at 40 mph. The list is longer but my feeling is it is a computer problem and service says there is no code so no problem found. It has been in service 6 times that have been documented. My fear is this car is so defective and is going to kill me and possibly others if the computer fails with the steering or braking.the issues started @ 500 miles on the car, it now has 1900.
The passenger door will not lock from the outside. You can walk right up even if the car is locked and open the door. It is a safety concern since i have kids. I've had this issue since i've got my car new

Car stalled while driving on a on ramp to the freeway.i pulled over and tried to start it.it sounded like it was trying to turn over by itself for a good 10 seconds.when it restarted, after releasing the break my car thrust forward.then started to spuber like it wanted to stall again.at that time 3 lights came on on the dash... The check engine, stabilization and another i've never seen.was real close to a dodge dearer where i bearly made it to.when i asked the person about the tigris light coming on he told me 'that means get it in asap!something seriously wrong is with the vehicle.'the car has just over 30k miles and i know it's still under warranty.
Twice while driving my car has just completely stalled and lost power. Both times i was slowing to a stop. Other times it feels as it it will stall but doesn't. It has caused two minor accidents at a stop sign due to the stalling.the other event happened at 50,0000 miles in june. I took car to dealership, no codes came up.
'takata recall' about 2 months ago my car wouldn't start. I thought it was due to the cold weather. The 2nd day same thing wouldn't start and had to end up getting jumper cables. The 3rd in the morning again some trouble but no cables were needed. But later that afternoon i had to go to my child's school. Got down for what was no more than about 7mins came back and my car wouldn't start. Had to get cables. Soon as we got the car going went to autozone and they checked it saying it was the battery. So i bought another battery then and there. Hooked it up. The car turned in fine but my power steering light came on. The steering wheel was so stiff to turn but i had to go. And lucky me it wasn't a far drive and pretty straight. About 3 days from then we took it to the dealership. Let them know what happened and they said that all they needed to do was reprogram the module. But they call back 15mins later saying they couldn't do it because the module wasn't communicating back and that they need $230 to run a diagnostic so they can know what was the root of the problem. I didn't have the money to spare at the time. So i said not now. Once they brought my car around, they let me know that now the overhearing light came on after they looked at it. On the way home the car turned off at a main street, lucky us i got to turn into a parking lot as it turned off all while i,husband,and my daughters. Turned it back on and came back on fine. Then all i wanted to do was come home and hope the car wouldn't turn off again. The air,headlight,and bluetooth can not run at the same time cause the dashboard lights and headlight will flicker and then the car will turn off.
The vehicle got too hot, almost all the electric system of the car had very little energy and blinked, the air conditioning takes a long time to work either to defog the windows, heat or cool. The radio is not working properly. Lights are not level.emergency equipment is missing as well as an emergency repair tire.and also when i am driving it accelerates and brakes automatically and suddenly.since i bought this car it has given me many mechanical problems
I just had my oil changed at around 70,000 my car shut off on me while i was driving due to no oil my car was three quarts low and my car is at 72,942 just shut off no steering no nothing about caused a wreck because my car died in an intersection granted i have a manual so i was able to engage the clutch to keep rolling but the steering wasn't working so i wasn't able to get it pulled off the road safely now i didn't feel the need to check my oil due to the fact it wasn't leaking and it wasn't burning any oil that i smelt so after all this i call a tow truck get it back to my house let the engine cool while my engine is cooling i start doing some research on why it may have done this there's others with this same problem is someone gonna have to die before they decide to fix this issue now i could've had my kids in the car this morning and now i don't even wanna put them back in this car because of this
Vehicle has had issues from about 1300 miles . The car will randomly shut off while driving with no warning signs and has a hard time restarting , if it will restart. The car has been back to the dealer several times and diagnosed and they can not find the anything in the computer system or figure out whats wrong . I was told be the dealer that it is acceptable for the car to consume up to 1 quart of oil every thousand miles or so . The only information i was given is that it is a known oil problem and that fca(fiat chrysler automotive) is not willing to do anything about the matter . The vehicle now has about 41 thousand miles on it and is back at the dealership for further testing. This has not only cost me extra money but has created major safety concerns , i had broken down while getting on and off of the highway with my family in the car and have been stuck on or in the middle of the road several times . These 2.4l fiat motors are extremely unsafe ! i have told dodge i refuse to drive the car until they fix the issue , also i would not accept the same car as a loaner due to the fact thatthe last loaner car i had similar to mine also had the same issue at the last service.
The previous complaint was filed on september 15, 2016. Ihtsa id number 10906998.originally the vehicle dying was said to be due to the oil needing to be changed and something with the turbo engine that my vehicle does not have. Since the previous complaint, the computer system was updated at the dealership. There were no other issues after the computer system update.april 10th the vehicle started making a loud rattling sound. The sound begins once you get over 50-55mph and gets louder the faster you go and the longer you drive. I recorded the sound so that the dealership could not find a problem. The service department said it sounds like a bicycle chain. It is scheduled for service for the rattling problem on june 21.today while backing out of the driveway the vehicle tried stalling.after drive about 2 miles down the road, the vehicle died while pulling out from a stop sign onto the main road.a car swerved into the turning lane to keep from hitting me. This makes the 4th time that the vehicle has died while driving it.this issue is going to cause me or my children to be injured or killed.the vehicle currently has 14, 153 miles.

I have been taught to check my oil consistently. I bought my vehicle with 68,089. Checked oil and it was full. At 69,089 i checked oil and was 2 quarts low!! so i filled it and called dealership. They said they could do an oil consumption test but that it's normal for vehicles to burn oil( about 1 quart per 1000 miles. My vehicle burned double that. She has have it jumped we take it to get battery checked and alternator. It shows battery is no good so we replace battery. The next morning and she on way to work and it cuts off again so we get it running and drive it around and cuts off twice more. I contacted dealer and they test it and tell me it is 2 quarts low on oil and it will cut off. We have had no indicator light that oil was low the oil had been changed less then two months again. They go to say we can request a oil consumption test in 500 miles and proceed to give me service bulletin on oil consumption. This is a safety issue as what if we are driving on freeway and it just cuts off! i ask why it's burning oil if it's oil leak and they say there no leak but don't know where oil is going and it's a common problem in darts to check oil every 500 miles.

On a city street, tried to accelerate at a stop light with the brake on. Would not accelerate turning left in oncoming traffic.intermittenly (hops) in motion exiting a highway, upon braking i traffic, stopped at a traffic light and in the driveway with the key removed. Tachometer has redlined (6500 rpm + ) moving in traffic at 46 mph on level road and upon take off from a red light. Tachometer has revved to 5500 rpm's on the down side of a hill when on cruse control multiple times when on the highway. The car has jerked severely driving down the highway at approximately 70 mph.intermittently the climate control has difficulty in making a decision on the selection i made and has taken approximately 5 min before the air ( fan ) will engage. All dash lights have flashed when the key fob was pushed to unlock the doors. The auto door locks have failed to lock properly and engaged at 40 mph. The list is longer but my feeling is it is a computer problem and service says there is no code so no problem found. It has been in service 6 times that have been documented. The car shakes very uruptly at idle. You can look at the engine and see it's shaking at idle. If you turn the air conditioner on it gets worse. Radio screen will not work sometimes. Blue tooth will work then cut off then turn back on when it feels like it. Automatic headlights work then randomly not work where i have to turn them manually on. Wipers do the same as the headlights but to correct the issue for the wipers it takes turning off the car and turning it back on and out them on low. Engine will die randomly while driving the car at any speed. Gps will not load sometimes. The back up camera works when screen works but also fails when screen is working and while backing up. During take off the car will stall like no gas then it will go like it's getting gas. During cold it shifts really rough like your using a standard slamming it in gear. I have also has 2 misfire in 2 different cylinders. One was a coil pack the other was supposedly a loose connection. Took car in for all this and dealer said if their is no check engine nothing they can do even though they feel the car chair and can see the engine shaking. They tell me to come back in when light comes on. Light switch has been replaced and still faults. Ecm and tcm habe been reprogrammed multiple times and problems still consist.

This 2016 dart gt has been in for service 13 times since it was purchased in march. The body connector has corroded twice and been replaced along with several corroded wires. The telematics module was also replaced after it tested inconsistent and working only 20% of the time (this is for the uconnect and bluetooth). If you hit 10mph sometimes it likes to accelerate without even touching the gas!while starting the car it now likes to say the keyfob has not been detected even when the key fob is right by the keyless start. The wireless receiver was replaced but it said key fob not detected again. This will make service visit #14! this car has serious computer/electrical issues. I own a 2016 gt dart with just over 37,000 miles on it. For the last two weeks i have been experiencing the engine shutting off while driving neighborhood speeds shortly after starting the car for the first time that day...from research and the symptoms i've been getting i believe it could be linked to the oil and oil change light. However, i've checked the oil levels and if anything there might be too much oil in the car. The oil life meter is in the single digits and the oil change light will not come on but should be at this point. Regarding the rear back up camera, the camera is a vital tool for us, the vehicle was literally one month out of manufacturer warranty and it went out. Then we went to our local dealership for a service and asked the service writer if they could repair the camera under warranty and without even looking in the computer he quickly responded that we would have to pay out of pocket, is the camera not a safety device? i really wish dealerships would stand behind their products.
The front headlight went out and i tried to replace it. Apparently there is a sensor that is malfunctioning and it has to be ordered. Im scared to drive at night because visibility is limited. The part has been ordered but i was told its on back order at the dealership. Id like this fixed asap because i also would not like to get a ticket for driving with a headlight that is out.

The previous complaint was filed on september 15, 2016. Ihtsa id number 10906998.originally the vehicle dying was said to be due to the oil needing to be changed and something with the turbo engine that my vehicle does not have. Since the previous complaint, the computer system was updated at the dealership. There were no other issues after the computer system update.april 10th the vehicle started making a loud rattling sound. The sound begins once you get over 50-55mph and gets louder the faster you go and the longer you drive. I recorded the sound so that the dealership could not find a problem. The service department said it sounds like a bicycle chain. It is scheduled for service for the rattling problem on june 21.today while backing out of the driveway the vehicle tried stalling.after drive about 2 miles down the road, the vehicle died while pulling out from a stop sign onto the main road.a car swerved into the turning lane to keep from hitting me. At this point my car began to roll down my driveway. This morning when backing out of the driveway, the car got stuck into neutral and i was stuck in the middle of the street unable to back up or drive. After pushing it into the driveway, i discovered the shift cable was no longer attached to the shifter lever. The bushing was no longer in the hole for the shifter cable and the bushing itself was still attached to the shifter lever bolt. In march of this year, i took my car to the dodge dealer to have the two recalled parts replaced. One was the shifter cable bushing. When i called the dodge dealer, they told me to have the car towed to their service department and they would have it looked at and replaced as soon as possible. I verified with them the bushing was covered under the mopar 24 month part warranty.i had the vehicle towed to them. Later, someone from the service department called trying to tell me that i needed to pay a $277 diagnostic fee and i advised them i would not be paying them anything because i took photos and printed out the photos showing them that the bushing was missing inside of the shifter cable that they supposedly replaced 5 months ago. For the past 4 months i've had this same issue. My car turns off while driving i've filed several complaints. The dealership was unable to figure out what was wrong with the car. My vehicle has had a manufacture safety recall for the shifter cable bushing since april of 2019 but there was no parts available to remedy the situation. In august of 2019 i pulled in a gas station and put my car in park. When i returned and attempted to put my car in reverse the shifter was very loose feeling and it wouldnt come out of park. My local dodge did pay for towing fees and put another defective part on my car after a very rude employee made sure i was aware this would be a one time complimentary service since they didnt have the correct part to fix it. In september of 2019 i received a notice stating there was now parts available to fix the defective part and that i should call to schedule an appointment with my dodge dealer. When i called to make the appointment i was told there was a very long wait list for this repair part and that the manufacturer is limiting the number of parts the dealer is allowed to order per month to 14. It is now november and im being told they still have a lengthy list of customers and they are still limited on how many replacement parts they can order per month. I dont think this is an appropriate way to handle a safety recall situation. There are over 200,000 vehicles with this defective part. I understand thats including the entire us but it would be more appropriate for the manufacturer to distribute parts according to how many people are on waiting lists in each area not 14 parts a month. I am traveling to florida with my 3 children in less than 2 weeks and planned on driving my car but without this issue fixed im afraid of what could happen while im 800 miles away from home. I was told i would recieve a phone call when my name reaches the top of the list but if something happens before then i dont know what im supposed to do especially if im on the road with 3 children.

Purchased car new jan 2017. On 3/3/19 at approx. 18 mph while attempting a left turn in to our neighborhood i heard a loud pop and car jerked to the left hitting a curb. Upon visual inspection of the car it appeared that the axle popped out of joint and control arm broke in two. Anti-lock brake system service light comes on and off as well as the traction control light. The antilock brake system is not working at all and skid control doesn't work either. The car was taken to the dealership lakeland chrysler dodge jeep ram and i was told the car was driven by the technician 11 miles and there was no incident and at this point the car can no longer be driven due to a gash in the tire. However, a multi-point inspection, oil change and tire rotation was done on the vehicle 8/22/2017 and a gash in the tire was not noted on any paperwork nor was it reported as a problem.
'takata recall' about 2 months ago my car wouldn't start. I thought it was due to the cold weather. The 2nd day same thing wouldn't start and had to end up getting jumper cables. The 3rd in the morning again some trouble but no cables were needed. But later that afternoon i had to go to my child's school. Got down for what was no more than about 7mins came back and my car wouldn't start. Had to get cables. Soon as we got the car going went to autozone and they checked it saying it was the battery. So i bought another battery then and there. Hooked it up. The car turned in fine but my power steering light came on. The steering wheel was so stiff to turn but i had to go. And lucky me it wasn't a far drive and pretty straight. About 3 days from then we took it to the dealership. Let them know what happened and they said that all they needed to do was reprogram the module. But they call back 15mins later saying they couldn't do it because the module wasn't communicating back and that they need $230 to run a diagnostic so they can know what was the root of the problem. I didn't have the money to spare at the time. So i said not now. Once they brought my car around, they let me know that now the overhearing light came on after they looked at it. On the way home the car turned off at a main street, lucky us i got to turn into a parking lot as it turned off all while i,husband,and my daughters. Turned it back on and came back on fine. Then all i wanted to do was come home and hope the car wouldn't turn off again. The air,headlight,and bluetooth can not run at the same time cause the dashboard lights and headlight will flicker and then the car will turn off.
Anti-lock brake system service light comes on and off as well as the traction control light. The antilock brake system is not working at all and skid control doesn't work either. Brakes are hard to push often and vehicle is more and more reluctant to stop. The vehicle is always in motion. Stearing is harder when the vehicle slows or stops also. The issue began at the same time as the antilock brake issue. Check engine light also came on. All lights where cleared at my last service but came back on immediately from leaving the dealership i serviced it at. I have kids i transport in this vehicle and failing brakes under 90000 miles is a big deal. Approximate mileage is 83000.

The gear change isn't working, it seems to be a small gauge that keeps popping out and not gripping when i change gears.i have been doing it manually.
Braking system failure when trying to stop . Brakes would press down but not slow the vehicular down. The brakes would randomly fail when stopping on both highway and in urban areas. Along with that the computer would fail and the abs light,the engine light , and the traction control light would come on along with the battery light. Upon visual inspection of the car it appeared that the axle popped out of joint and control arm broke in two. Because of this two parts malfunctioning the car hit the curb, cracking the wheel and causing body damage to the vehicle.

Takata recall. I have a recall on my car called shifter cable bushing and i called dodge dealer ship and they said all dodge shops dont have the parts because once it becomes dangerous for you to drive they will then order the part and replace it. I was told at drive time where i bought the car that there is a recall for my car and all i had to do is call the dealership and get it replace. I havent noticed anything wrong with my car but this is a new car so i dont want anything bad to happen while i'm driving!
This is not the first time this has happened to me. While driving, the engine shuts off. Could be going as slow as 15mph to as fast as 70 mph. This time it happened while i was driving in california while on vacation. I got to the end of the street and boom engine shuts off. To restart the car you have to come to a complete stop, change gear into neutral or park and restart the vehicle. This is the third time this has happened and i have since started recording the mileage when it happens. Mileage was at 49,218
I have 2016 dodge dart and the brake booster went out in it the same problem with a previous issue with recall brake pedal went hard and could not stop quickly while driving and was told by dodge it did not fall under recall for being different year and would cost a lot of money to fix then the abs modular valve went out and locked the brake while driving the car is used to travel in the city during morning and evening commutes
Hello i bought a 2016 dodge dart a little over a year ago i've have the standard matinence done when suggested but have been experiencing issues with the oil running out i've looked up issues online and i'm honestly kind of surprised you have not had dodge recall or look into this issue already because many people are having the same issues with these motors in fact i've found that some people have run down so low the engine actually shuts off i would please like you to investigate into this and have dodge fix the problem thank you.

When my oil life goes below 35% the engine will shut of while i am driving. It mostly happens when making a turn. It does restart after about 2 minutes and cranking the engine.
For the past 4 months i've had this same issue. My car turns off while driving i've filed several complaints. The dealership was unable to figure out what was wrong with the car. The reprogrammed the tcm and pcmand that seemed to have fixed the problem up until today, 09/16/2018. I got down the street and my car shut off again while turning onto a busy street. I was almost side swiped and this isn't the first time i was almost in an accident as a result of this.
Car is stalling and is having a hard time not dying. Tested the engine codes and nothing came back, tested battary, starter and alternator. The heater only works sometimes. The sun roof opens on it's own and will not close.

Twice while driving my car has just completely stalled and lost power. Both times i was slowing to a stop. Other times it feels as it it will stall but doesn't. A while back vehicle taken into local dealer for two isolated incidents of vehicle rolling when coming to a stop regardless of the speed (dealership kept vehicle trying to recreate issue unsuccessful as for nothing wrong appeared and no codes had registered.) then yesterday 7/2/2020 sudden while driving on city streets and coming to a complete stop, notification appeared, saying, "engage park brake to prevent from rolling." vehicle was continued to be in used in city until parked for a period of about and hour after first notification.engine was started yet vehicle would not change into any gear and began to roll while parked at a local business.

This is the fourth time this has happened the last time my mileage was at 49,218 this time my mileage was at 51,068. Basically what happens is: while driving the vehicle (mostly on city streets) the cars engine will randomly shut off. In order to restart the car you have to come to a complete stop, put the transmission in park or neutral and restart the car. I do not know what is wrong with the car but i need it fixed before my warranty expires.

Takata inflators, when driving it just dyes and losses all power no radio no nothing no power at all and won't start till it seats for about 15 to 20 mins than it will start and u can drive it does not do it all the time just when ever it wants to.
The vehicle got too hot, almost all the electric system of the car had very little energy and blinked, the air conditioning takes a long time to work either to defog the windows, heat or cool. The radio is not working properly. On may 05 2019 i received a letter from fca us llc - important safety recall. Talking about a problem on the transmission shift cable.they say that there is not remedy available and that i will be contacted again when the solution is available. My car is running well, but i am concerned with this risk. What"s if ihave an accident?? i need to know my rights. Do they have to replace my car for a new one??? how long will i be drivingat risk?? what about if they do not find the part or remedy??? just let me know my rights. Thanks
The 2016 dodge dart i own turns off while driving. It happened twice so i took it in to be serviced by dealership. Computers found nothing wrong. Last night i was driving with baby in carseat. Car turned off, control panel lights turn on when this happens. A truck that was coming behind me veered at last minute to avoid hitting us within inches! after driver of truck and and other witness checked on us,i went into shock, it was the scariest moment!! the only way car turns back on is by switching key off,then on again. If there's nothing "wrong with it", will i have to prove it with our lives that there is?!

The turn indicator stalk/lever in my car is broken.it is a multi-task lever due to the fact that it controls my windshield wipers, window cleaner, and enables me to switch my lights from dim to bright.the lever now falls and calls my turning lights to blink continuously while i'm driving as well as cause the bright lights to just pop up when i'm driving behind someone at night.i feel that this can be a danger to anyone because they can think someone is turning and keep going, or can be blinded by the bright lights switching on and off.i contacted the dealership about the issue and they stated that there is a backorder on the part and that 150 people were ahead of me with the same issue.i am unable to get the part until mid-february, but the dealership stated that it could be pushed back farther than that.i asked for something so if i was pulled over by the police about the issue with my lights, i would have something covering me.they refused to give me anything stating that there was a back-order on the part.
The key gets stuck in the ignition. Says it's in park but vehicle was not had to hit the shifter really hard to make sure was in park.
Vehicle in motion. Clutch stuck to floor on highway. Almost hit another vehicle because of the malfunction. Took to a repair facility where they said it is a very common problem with darts. I am now having the whole clutch system replaced and they just called me to tell me the flywheel etc is very bad.
There is a recall on my current dodge dart my vehicle has been out of service since august 8th 2019. I've tried calling your company for weeks now i was able to tow my vehicle to a dodge dealer ship to confirm that the problem is based on the recall. There is still no solution to the issue and need to be able to get to and from work. I shouldn't have to pay for a rental when the issue is not on my fault its on yours . No one can offer me anything and the customer service is horrible no one has helped me figure out this issue. All i wamt is a rental for the time that it takes gor the dealer to have ordered the peice until my car can be fixed . I have been nothing but understanding and cooperative to the whole situation but i'm truly at my wits end.

Car stalled while driving on a on ramp to the freeway.i pulled over and tried to start it.it sounded like it was trying to turn over by itself for a good 10 seconds.when it restarted, after releasing the break my car thrust forward.then started to spuber like it wanted to stall again.at that time 3 lights came on on the dash... The check engine, stabilization and another i've never seen.was real close to a dodge dearer where i bearly made it to.when i asked the person about the tigris light coming on he told me 'that means get it in asap!something seriously wrong is with the vehicle.'the car has just over 30k miles and i know it's still under warranty.

On a city street, tried to accelerate at a stop light with the brake on. Would not accelerate turning left in oncoming traffic.intermittenly (hops) in motion exiting a highway, upon braking i traffic, stopped at a traffic light and in the driveway with the key removed. Tachometer has redlined (6500 rpm + ) moving in traffic at 46 mph on level road and upon take off from a red light. Tachometer has revved to 5500 rpm's on the down side of a hill when on cruse control multiple times when on the highway. The car has jerked severely driving down the highway at approximately 70 mph.intermittently the climate control has difficulty in making a decision on the selection i made and has taken approximately 5 min before the air ( fan ) will engage. All dash lights have flashed when the key fob was pushed to unlock the doors. The auto door locks have failed to lock properly and engaged at 40 mph. The list is longer but my feeling is it is a computer problem and service says there is no code so no problem found. It has been in service 6 times that have been documented. My fear is this car is so defective and is going to kill me and possibly others if the computer fails with the steering or braking.the issues started @ 500 miles on the car, it now has 1900.
This is the third complaint i have field about the same problem. My car is turning off while driving. At 50,281 miles my cars motor turned off wile i was driving. Usually it will go about 1000 miles or so before it turns off again. This time was a bit sooner. While leaving my house to take my brothers inhaler to his school, my car turned off. I had just got down to the end of the street and started to turn off of sunnyslope ln and onto 95th ave and my car turned off. This time a lady in a white lexus suv almost hit my car because i was unable to restart the vehicle quickly. Thank god for that ladys lexus being able to stop in time.
I have had this car for 2 years now and it just now started jerking while driving it. It does this in any gear or in park while the car is on. It almost feels like it wants to cut off or maybe transmission problems but i have taken the car to the mechanic and they used their code reader and can not find out whats wrong with the car.. I have got a oil change and used a gas treatment on it so far its still jerking while i drive. I am worried this could lead to more issues or even cut off on me while i am driving. On 5-21-16 while driving after turning on a city street the car started beeping and the gas wouldn't work. The battery light came on and the car came to a rolling stop. All lights worked. The window would only roll halfway down. Vehicle would not start back. Vehicle had 700 miles on it. After several attempts to start it back with push button and key it finally started. On 9-15-16 while making a turn the car started beeping and came to a rolling stop. The ignition was still lit up run. The battery light came on. All lights worked. Rpm were 0. Vehicle has 7,062 miles on it. There have been several times where the engine has tried to die while backing up or taking off in drive from a complete stop. This is not safe! after researching i found this was an issue with older models.
When backing out of my driveway the touchscreen went completely black. After finishing backing up got into the main road, the screen stayed black for a minute. When i went to the store i was headed to, i turned off the car of course, when i came back to start it, it was back to no normal. When it goes black i cannot control the air or the heat since all that is in the screen. I have read several threads about this and the same thing has happened and some people have to replace the screen and it still doesn't help. I tried contacting dodge online they just tell me take it to the dealer. Note this doesn't happen all the time on mine so it's hard to take a video/picture because you don't know when it's gonna happen again since it's at a random time. I seen some other vehicles online with this type of screen has been on recalled and fixed. At this moment i'm looking into another vehicle that can be dependable with the air or heat and where and how much it blows along with the temperature. I have 2 kids that can't get hot in the summer or freezing in the winter due to not having control over this issue.

The previous complaint was filed on september 15, 2016. Ihtsa id number 10906998.originally the vehicle dying was said to be due to the oil needing to be changed and something with the turbo engine that my vehicle does not have. Since the previous complaint, the computer system was updated at the dealership. There were no other issues after the computer system update.april 10th the vehicle started making a loud rattling sound. The sound begins once you get over 50-55mph and gets louder the faster you go and the longer you drive. I recorded the sound so that the dealership could not find a problem. The service department said it sounds like a bicycle chain. It is scheduled for service for the rattling problem on june 21.today while backing out of the driveway the vehicle tried stalling.after drive about 2 miles down the road, the vehicle died while pulling out from a stop sign onto the main road.a car swerved into the turning lane to keep from hitting me. The car shakes very uruptly at idle. You can look at the engine and see it's shaking at idle. If you turn the air conditioner on it gets worse. Radio screen will not work sometimes. Blue tooth will work then cut off then turn back on when it feels like it. Automatic headlights work then randomly not work where i have to turn them manually on. Wipers do the same as the headlights but to correct the issue for the wipers it takes turning off the car and turning it back on and out them on low. Engine will die randomly while driving the car at any speed. Gps will not load sometimes. The back up camera works when screen works but also fails when screen is working and while backing up. During take off the car will stall like no gas then it will go like it's getting gas. During cold it shifts really rough like your using a standard slamming it in gear. I have also has 2 misfire in 2 different cylinders. One was a coil pack the other was supposedly a loose connection. Took car in for all this and dealer said if their is no check engine nothing they can do even though they feel the car chair and can see the engine shaking. They tell me to come back in when light comes on. Light switch has been replaced and still faults. Ecm and tcm habe been reprogrammed multiple times and problems still consist.
My wipers randomly go off or donā€™t want to work. I seen a recall for this on 2016 cars but it says mine is not one of them. I took it to the dealership and they said it is a thousand dollars to fix.
I just had my oil changed at around 70,000 my car shut off on me while i was driving due to no oil my car was three quarts low and my car is at 72,942 just shut off no steering no nothing about caused a wreck because my car died in an intersection granted i have a manual so i was able to engage the clutch to keep rolling but the steering wasn't working so i wasn't able to get it pulled off the road safely now i didn't feel the need to check my oil due to the fact it wasn't leaking and it wasn't burning any oil that i smelt so after all this i call a tow truck get it back to my house let the engine cool while my engine is cooling i start doing some research on why it may have done this there's others with this same problem is someone gonna have to die before they decide to fix this issue now i could've had my kids in the car this morning and now i don't even wanna put them back in this car because of this

Driving on i80 @ 65 mph in the middle lane when the driver's side window imploded. The entire window ended up in my lap. There was no impact by rock or any other item.
About two-three weeks ago i hit a pot hole and got a flat or the side wall of the front tire.the tires are kumho solus kh25 tires.then tonight on 3/18/16 i was just driving on the road didn't hit anything and my car tells me i am losing air pressure in my back tire. I get out and notice i was losing air pressure and losing it fast without hitting anything.i just got the car in december with 6,000 miles on it.i have noticed there have been a lot more reports about these tires and needed to share the info.these tires are becoming a huge issue.
While on the side of the highway trying to change a flat tire. I found that the lugnuts have swollen and my lug wrench would not fit on the lugs. A service truck responded and said he see's this all the time. He went to the next size up in order to get the lug nuts off and said buy new ones with out the aluminum covers over the nut.
Anti-lock brake system service light comes on and off as well as the traction control light. The antilock brake system is not working at all and skid control doesn't work either. Brakes are hard to push often and vehicle is more and more reluctant to stop. The vehicle is always in motion. Stearing is harder when the vehicle slows or stops also. The issue began at the same time as the antilock brake issue. Check engine light also came on. All lights where cleared at my last service but came back on immediately from leaving the dealership i serviced it at. I have kids i transport in this vehicle and failing brakes under 90000 miles is a big deal. Approximate mileage is 83000.
Upon driving the car on the freeway yesterday, the 2016 dodge dart started to shake and the car would not slow down.the passenger front wheel control arm, tire, and cv joint completely feel off the vehicle which caused an accident.
