(pab) i have 2 recalls on my 2014 dodge charger that are serious safety concerns. The air may eject metal fragments into the interior of car which could cause serious injury or death upon collision. I attempted several time today to get assistance from chrysler/dodge with a loaner/rental car until my vehicle could be fixed. The air bags needed to resolve the safety issue will not be in until after feb 26th causing me not to have adequate safe transportation to and from work and for my family. I live in a rural area with 2 lane highways and travel 49.5 miles one way to work each day with deer and other animals constantly running into the road. I was told by chrysler that i just need to be careful driving but was advised by insurance agent to not drive the vehicle until fixed as accidents happen unannounced and daily. Noone within the chrysler organization was willing to assist me with a rental or loaner vehicle. I was called by an agent who set an appointment for monday, feb 18th @ 3:30 knowing that the air bag was not in stock. I am extremely upset and exhausted with the 4 + hoursi spent on the phone today to not receive any resolution. I will never purchase from chrysler again and really need a safe ride for myself, wife, 5 and 6 year olds, and 2 week old son to travel until this issue caused by chrysler is resolved.

Electronic throttle body defect causes car to cut off while driving. Lighting bolt flashes then check engine light comes on. I was driving at 70 mph on the highway and then the warning lights flash bolt and engine then the cars shutsoff. Very dangerous
I bought a used 2014 dodge chargerless than a month ago . I haven't made my first payment and have to replace the oil filter housing and no a problem with my battery saver indicator shutting of functions of the car while driving . Dealer has recognized the issue by unwilling to pay for all cost and parts of repair .
While driving freeway, highway, in a parking lotor at a stop lightmy cars electronics are shutting off andoccasionally the engine shuts off and my steering locks up. Sounds like the p60 recall but my car vin does not qualify but had all the samesymptoms and is very dangerous. This car is my only way to work and it's been getting worse and i have been denied a fix on this. This is not safe at all
While driving i-405n at approx 63mph, my cel & tc lamp illuminated and car stalled out leaving me with no steering functions, then suddenly it turned back on and red-lined for almost 20secs straight leaving me at wot speeding straight towards the vehicle in front of me. The dash flashed something in the instrument cluster right before it shuts off but too quickly for me to be able to read it, the white box that highlights the selected gear turns orange and highlights all gears, then tachometer and speedometer fall to zero. This has happened on multiple occasions. I was able to record the the dash display on my phone when it was occurring back -to-back. I pulled fault codes(u0101,u1110,u1120,u11bc,u0121,u0100,u212). I took the car to dealership 2 weeks previously, they just reset my cel lamp and said bring it back if it happens again. This is dangerous and needs to be taken care of before it causes serious injury or death! i believe the problem is with the ecm and tcm programming, or the modules themselves. Included is screenshot from the video i recorded as it stalled on the fwy for the 3rd time in 10 minutess.
We bought our car new, it has been at the dodge dealer for repairs for the same things over and over for 6 months total time in shop.1. The battery saver mode comes on,and then the steering gets hard, the alt. Has been replace, extra wiring added to add more grounds.this affects the way the car drives.when the battery saver mode is on the power steering stops working or works less.the power steering pump and rack and pinion has been replaced twice.this problem happens every day, in town or on the freeway. 2. The radio keeps shorting out, it's been replaced 3 times.this happens daily, it quits, blew out the speakers, navagtion stopped working.3.the heater keeps getting stuck on either 100% hot or 100% a/c on cold.settings will not change.controls have been replaced 3 times, the heat/cold door motor was replace twice.the car has spent 185 days in service this year.when they give the car back it acts up in about 5 mins.the car is going back in for the radio and battery saver mode and steering on monday.i picked the car up friday and it failed less than a mile from the dealership.
Today my car turned off all of a sudden out of no where. I have stated to the dealer for years that it is not normal for a car to say battery saver mode and lights, radio, dash and all electrical devices in a vehicle to turn of or stutter of and on. They said it is normal and that it is my battery. If a car turns on the alternator is supposed to take all the load off of the battery running in the engine nothing else. My car has stuttered multiple time off and in while driving and even almost turned off. This is not safe for driving around, because car could turn off while driving on a highway and i lose all control off the vehicle steering, brakes and accelerating. When i the vehicle turned off today i was stopped at a red light and the car started to stutter and then it just turned off when the green light turned on. I was unable to take a picture today and i was in traffic and it is illegal to drive and use a phone. I have multiple picture from the past but was only able to upload one
I was at a traffic light the light turn green i went to accelerate black smoke came out the tail pipe the car stalled then cut off it was towed to the dealership in which it stayed for several days got a call that it was ready picked it up on february 11th drove home parked it till that friday which was the 13th driving to work it was driving funny i stopped to let a truck pass by after the truck passed went to accelerate car wouldn't move tried to accelerate again car wouldn't move it wouldn't go in park it wouldn'tnothing by this time the engine light came on the dash read press clutch and push start well guess what there is no clutch then battery saver mode came on the retraction light came on and then it shut off then service park assist system came on as well.... Igot out because it was in the middle of the road so for my safety i left it there finally a few guys stopped pushed it to safety till the tow truck arrived it was towed to the dealer again which they kept until friday the 20th i refused to drive it so the dealer had someone to drive it to my home at that time i pleaded with chrysler to let me keep the rental car because i had a funeral i had to attend on saturday 21st they told me no that my car was ready and if i didn't drive it they would consider it to be abandoned so i said ok but i would be very upset if i missed this funeral! so drove to the house as we lined up for the funeral everyone one was in place as we proceed to leave the house for the funeral guest i went to accelerate and my car would not move it cut off in the middle of the funeral line i was so embarrassed i didn't know what to do so needless to say i missed the funeral and the graveside service as well and as of today friday 27th my car is still at the dealership with no answers !!! it's simply just give me a new car if i wanted a lemon i would have brought one.

Vehicle lost all power while in motion at 60mph. Vehicle would not stop, would not turn back on, shift gears, anything. I was forced to drive the vehicle off the road to avoid death by accident. Vehicle was towed to local dodge dealership where they diagnosed the vehicle with a failed tipm. Not covered under warranty and no assurance that this will not happen again.
Alternator faileddealer said that the car has been in for alternator recall and yet the car stalled on the highway while driving with no warning almost killing my sonand the problem after diagnosing is the alternatori believe this problem has to be investigated because i believe dodge are replacing alternators with another defective onesmy car is now at prescott dodge dealership and they want to charge mealmost $900 to replace the alternator please let me know what is my options and thank you
Radio shut off and would not turn on while driving to destination. Once i got to my destination, i had the car in park, but the engine still turned on.all of the gauges in the dashboard started going crazy and then the inside lights started flashing. The car then shut off and had absolutely no power whatsoever. Could not even put my car in "neutral" to move it out of the middle of the road because it is "push to start" and has no way of getting power to the transmission to be able to put it in neutral.i was in the middle of the road waiting for dodge's roadside assistance to get there from 12:00 am until 5:30 am.the tow truck eventually came and took it to the nearest dealership to find out that my alternator went out and completely drained the battery as well. My car was only 3 thousand miles outside of the 36k bumper to bumper warranty and only 2 years old. Well timed, dodge!! way to get out of paying for your mistakes!!

The manufacturer wasnotified of the failure on 6-14-19 fca. The approximate failure mileage was 47,828.

The parts were not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. My vehicle is affected by the fca t36 recall, and according to what i can find on the internet there will not be any parts available until may of 2018! just yesterday my wife was about to drive away-only to find the car was totally dead! if there are no repair parts-what am i supposed to do? it had been sitting over night in the garage---!
While driving on interstate at full speed a message appeared on vehicle instrument panel: battery saver mode. Was concerned as i did not know what the message meant. Was not mentioned in the owner manual. Looked up message on dodge charger forum, realized that my vehicle falls within years for recall, with 160 amp alternator, but my particular vin number is not included in recall nor have i been contacted. Perhaps it, along with others, should be to warn owners of potential issues. There was nothing in the message to indicate that the vehicle needed to be serviced, although to my understanding it can cause loss of power to the entire system.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly shut off and the driver was unable to steer or stop the vehicle before crashing into a tractor trailer and a guardrail. The driver sustained an injured back during the incident, but did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. Prior to the incident, the failure occurred on multiple occasions and the vehicle was serviced by the dealer who replaced the abs sensor, abs module, transmission module, and the main computer, but the failure continued to occur. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 26,000.
While driving on expressway vehicle automatically went into neutral. Would not go back into drive mode. Had to veer to the side of road. Very dangerous almost caused accidents. When vehicle stopped still couldn't put vehicle into drive. Turned car off vehicle would not turn back on.
Sound from radio goes in and out
Alternator replaced two years ago under recall.car died again while stopped in traffic and would not restart.dealer says failure was the same failure that was under recall.district rep has not approved repairs yet, it's been a week.this will be the 3rd alternator in two years.
First my car would not detect my keys (even after i replaced batter). When i was driving the check engine light would randomly come on and off even after getting all repairs completed. One day it repeatedly flashed on and off and keeps constantly. My car was also jumping and vibrating extremely hard and the engine was ticking. Going slow or slowing down, my car has a hard time turning. I went to autozone and ran an diagnostics. Afterwards i took it to the dodge dealership and told them what i was experiencing and what the diagnostic said. I still haven't gotten it fixed. Moreover, my car is still at the dealership and i do not have a rental. The last time i took my car in for recalls, i was told they didn't have any rentals and i would have to purchase my own. Also, they never told me that the recall with my brake chocks weren't replaced. The individuals working in the service department didn't act really professional. They were demeaning and squaring me of things that i didn't do or agree to.
The rear fuse box burnt out in the trunk of the car; almost causing a car fire and the fuse box is none operational but located next to the transmission, control panel, seats and airbags fuses and many other operational safety features of the car.the car has had all recalls, services, maintained meticulously with one owner no accidents.
I'm still having, (battery saver mode light coming on). And now i'm worried about the ("takata recall"). I've taken my dodge charger back to dodge dealership for service today, 11/16/17, as the (abs) & (traction control) lights both were on. And as i was driving my car to the dealership i tried to set my cruise control at 75 mph as i was on i-77 south, but i couldn't get it to set at any speed. Today 11/17/2017 my repair bill is $350.00 dollars + a car payment and hopefully i can get home with the alternator issues. I'm tired of paying for something that i'm afraid to drive anywhere i need to go. This dodge belongs to a family of 4 including myself, can someone please help me get something done asap i think i have a beautiful vehicle and i don't really want to trade it just because of the no parts available, as my luck would be, the parts would be available the same month as i traded cars.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v634000 (electrical system) however, the part needed to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
I have been working with fca since 8/31/16, so for 28 days now, that i have been without power steering. I filed my first complaint on, or around 9/12/16. I experienced the exact same symptoms as stated in nhtsa pe14022 while driving down the highway at apporximately 65mph. Every warning light went off flashing, service transmission message, service power steering , and tach, and speedo would drop to zero , and i would lose engine power, and power steering. I captured the incident on video, and provided the video to nhtsa, i will again provide a link for the video here : https://youtu.be/e96hvqpep10. In dealing with fca llc, they refuse to replace the electric hydraulic power steering pump that was fried from this incident occuring. Fca is saying that it was the "2 year old mopar battery" that caused the incident, and refuse to replace the ehps pump that worked perfectly fine before this occured. I replaced the alternator per nhtsa recall no. 14v-634 a great deal of time prior to this incident occuring. Fca is trying to circumvent having to replace the pump by changing the origin of the means to the battery, instead of the alternator. I have been extremely frustrated with how fca refuses to acknowledge all of the proof given to them. I am not alone in this, there had been many complaints filed with similar results as mine in dealing with fca. It's time for nhtsa to do something to remedy this issue with fca. Fca offered to replace the $1400 ehps pump if i pay a $500 co-pay, i refuse to accept this offer based on the principle of the matter. The true origin of all of the issue's i'm currently having, is from the original alternator that was in the car for a year and a half initially, and during that time it was improperly charging the battery that possibly caused the battery to ultimately fail on 8/31/16. Please see attached files. Failure mileage 81332
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, she heard an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle, and then noticed smoke coming through the cabin with the battery save mode and traction control warning lights illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that the battery saver mode had intermittently appeared on and off over the past two years, where it was continuously informed ( per a auto shop that there was no failure). The contact was able to pull the vehicle over when she observed more smoke and opened the engine when it was noticed that smoke was coming from the alternator and was completely black. The contact had the vehicle towed to the dealer (mckay's dodge chrysler jeep ram, 2020 frontage rd n, waite park, mn, 56387) where it was diagnosed that the alternator had failed and needed to be replaced. Battery saver mode turns on while going 65 mph on freeway. Only my radio is on so there is no huge drain on the battery. Service keyless system is also something that turns on multiple times. At times the key fob won't open the door or start the car even with a new battery in the key fob.
2014 dodge charger electric power steering pump having issues turning steering wheel which i complain about 6 months ago after purchasing the vehicle for my son it a very serious problem concerning safety . They only recall 2014 dodge charger if the the power steering pump wasinstall at specific maufactured facilities, which is bs . Dodge should be responsible for any faulted power steering pump issue knowingly it exists. My son vehicle has this electricpower steering pump issue and the manufacturer and dodge dealer should replace due to safety issues. Please advise
Recall for alternator.bought this car in februray 2015 and salesman informed me there was a recall but i have received nothing by mail.
While driving my 2014 dodge charger sxt on the freeway today (11/02/16) the engine stalled & i barely made it to the relative safety of the median to attempt to restart my car.after multiple attempts, it eventually restarted, however it stalled again shortly thereafter on the freeway & 3 more times once i got off the freeway.i just got it back from the dealership last week for the same problem (they claimed that they "updated" some software but couldn't replicate the problem).it is currently at the dealership, but i am concerned that i may not be able to safely avoid injury/damage if this problem isn't fixed & continues to happen. I have multiple photos & videos on my phone of this occurring & would be happy to email them.

All cars to date have same probems lifters will go out, intake manfold will suck oil into the air chamber, seals replacement will not fix. My 2014 dodge charger has 55,000 miles. The car has a total loss of power. The car was stationary when this happened. This is a safety hazard. If my car was to lose all power while driving i run a risk of crashing into someone or something possibly killing another person or myself. I was told by the dodge dealership that it is a "faulty" totally integrated power system also known as the tipm. As upon reading consumer complaints on this vehicle there has been recalls for chryslers "faulty" tipm. Please help me fix my issue as this is a dangerous vehicle to drive being that it could lose power at any given time.
On august 29th 2016 i was returning(driving on us20) home from some official business, when my dash started flashing, all the warning lights would flash, the speed displayed would go up, and down , and the car started changing gears. There was a ticking sound coming from my gear shift, like it was trying to select gear. The power steering light , and service transmission message keep coming up as well. I would intermittenly lose power steering during this, and power from the engine would lag also. I have a three minute, and thirty-five second video of what was occuring. I contacted some mechanic friends that work on indiana state police chargers, and they thought it could be the battery shorting out. The next morning i replaced the battery, and installed properly with positive post first. This seem to resolve the dash flashing symptoms, but i then had no power steering at all. I took to our local dodge dealer in lagrange, in they ran a diagnostic analysis, and determined the electronic power steering pump was no good. The power steering pump worked perfectly fine with no issues at all, ever, before these electrical issues occured. This vehicle is used to transport the us congressman, when he is in the district on official business, and we need it repaired asap. It is my opinion, the power steering pump was destroyed by the electrical issues concerning the recall on this vehicle. It is also my opinion that fac llc should replace the power steering pump at no cost per the consent order pertaining to this recall. I am trying to get the video to email, at this point, the video is to long to email.
On august 05 2017 we were on our way to tampa,fl travelling on us 41in gibsoton ,fl when vehicle all of a sudden the vehicle began to shut down out of nowhere.nothing would work no lights,no alarm, nothing the car was completely dead.i called to have it towed but bc the car was completely dead the aaa worker could not to it on a flatbed tow truck.they had to have a dolly lift truck.this is very dangerous and could have resulted in an accident had i been on the interstate.the car gave me no indication that anything was failing was running just fine when i left my home.this should be a major concern for the manufacturer that a vehicle will start just fine and all of a sudden the vehicle will just stop anywhere at any given time.ive owned a numerous of vehicles and when it comes to an alternator you usually have some indication that it is going bad.i took it to the nearest repair shop and the confirmed that the alternator was the reason for the vehicle stopping completely on me.
It has electrica problems, specially on lights. The reverse light stays on even the car is on park or turned off. The notification light keeps staying oneverytime even though the problem is already fix. The tire pressures keeps on going down everyday.
My 2014 dodge charger is brand new off the lot of lhm dodge in tucson, az. By 13,978 my car smelled like sulfur while in motion. Driving sluggishly, and the "battery saver mode" light on. At 14,100 miles the vehicle was making the same smell, and the battery safer mode light was on again . Returned it to lhm with complaints. I drove a rental car from friday june 1st-june 8th, the "cluster" in the dash was not reading and needed to be replaced. I was told it was "all fixed". When the vehicle pulled up i got in and began to pull away as mydashboard went black. I turned around. My advisor brought it back and explained that it needed to be "reset" but that he'll order a new cluster. I get into my vehicle there is an "error" sign where the milage is supposed to be. I that i didn't feel comfortable driving this vehicle. I expressed how upset i was about the situation and he said to me "you'll be fine to drive it, it won't shut off". I get home started it, and the entire dash shuts off. My car is now being towed again to jim click dodge.

I own a 2014 dodge charger se and had a faulty alternator.it appears that this is not an isolated issue with my vehicle.per nhtsa's recall t36 and t75 some alternators were recalled for this vehicle.i believe the recall should have included my vehicles alternator.before may 27th, 2018, our alternator failed.the car would not start, at the time we were not sure if it was the alternator.i had a local auto store test the alternator and it passed.so, we purchased a new battery.we believed that resolved this issue.after a month, the issue happened again.it appears the alternator was not charging the battery correctly.the issue was hit or miss luckily, we did not have an issue while driving the car.this car is not an everyday vehicle so it could go a couple of weeks without being driven.to alleviate the issue, i replaced the alternator on september 15th 2018.since that time everything has been working correctly.attached are a photo of the oem alternator, the aftermarket alternator, and receipt.i believe dodge chrysler should extend their current recalls to include the denso 42100 ' 0750 alternator.on may 27th, 2018 our alternator failed.at the time we were.

My stability control light came on the same day i went up a steep driveway. It has happened before as my tires slipped on some sand but the light turned right off. This time it has stayed on and it was diagnosed as the multi-axis acceleration sensor (aka dynamic sensor)internal failure. Firestone had never heard of this part going out nor has my mechanic.i am hoping something is wrong and this part gets recalled as i do believe the steep driveway caused this issue which should not happen. I am able to still drive my car but the cruise control is now disabled as the car thinks the car can be unstable/unsafe in cruise control mode.

I always bring my car to rancho chrysler jeep dodge on 8010 balboa avenue san diego, ca 92111 regarding the "batter saver mode". I've had this car for almost 2 years and have gone in several times about this issue. They replaced the battery/alternator at least that's what i was told and the "battery saver mode" still comes on. The issue is if you turn off the car it goes away. I was informed to bring it back in if the "battery saver mode" comes back on but if the place isn't opened that's impossible to do so. I would like this to be fixed, my car cuts off at times when i start it and drive off in the morning when it's colder and this has been happening for years which this was reported to the car company as well.
My steering wheel has locked up on me while i'm driving at least 10 times if not more since i purchased my 2014 dodge charger in 2015. All these incidents where at different time periods and at different speeds ranging from 0 to 60 mph. The steering wheel would stay locked for a couple of minutes. Each time that it has happened, i've been close to having an accident either hitting someone else or running off the road. I would try to turn the vehicle off and on to see if it would loosen back up. Sometimes it would work, other times it wouldn't. I've taken the vehicle to multiple mechanics and they all have said it might have something to so with the power steering since the vehicle is electric. I've then taken it to the dodge dealership to get it diagnosed and they said nothing comes up on their tests that shows steering wheel defects. I've also contacted the actual dodge manufacturer but they weren't of any help either unless a recall pops up. I have no evidence to show the problem other than horrible past experiences i've had while driving.
On highway going 65mph.car steering lost control and pulled sharp right off road. Could not steer or brake. All lights on panel were lit up. Road in the ditch at 65mph and ramped a driveway and still couldn't steer or brake.finally car came to a stop on its own or due to impact and high brush in the ditch.

Engine light came on while driving. Took it in for service and dealer stated that it's an o2 sensor malfunction. Dealer had the car for 2 days. They claimed that they replaced all o2 sensors. Engine light came on again after 1 week. Took it back to the same dealer and they stated that the software had to be upgraded. After 3 days, check engine light came on again. Took it back to the same dealer and they stated that the wiring harness has to be change. Service person said that he would have to order parts and as soon as it arrives. He will contact us. After 4 days, we called the dealership and they said that the service person that took care of us from day 1 had been terminated. Spoke to a new service person and he stated that he 's not aware of this problem. We insisted that the car be diagnose as soon as possible and gave us an appointment on 7/19/14. In the mean time, the car cannot be driven too far. Performance of the car is very erratic and would feel that it would shut off. Although, service person stated that is ok to be driven.

Driving down the road at 58 mph and power steering went complety out! no warning at all! dash lights went crazy. Warning lights: service shifter, service power steering, auto park disabled, check engine, then dash lights started blacking completely out. Very dangerous! i took to my mechanic and he says that the power steering pump has been fired. After reading the altenator recall, thia explained everything that happened! all recalls have been fixed on this vehicle. After contacting local dealerships i learned that there are 89 people just in my area needing this same pump and it is on back order. This tells me that there is a huge problem. This is extremely dangerous! now $1800 to fix an issue that never should have happened with altenator recall completed. I now have a car that i am still paying for, cant drive, cant afford to fix, and wont sell to someone else knowing how dangerous this is. Please investigate this issue. I cant imagine that with all of the complaints i have seen that this is not an all consuming issue and puts many lives at risk

Battery saver message went on. Lights flickered.since there is an upcoming recall on alternator with the 2014 models manufactured april 22, 2010, to january 2, 2014 and my cars manufactured date is may of 2014 i hope you will include all 2014 models for the recall.although my alternator has yet to completely fail the history of the current failures began with battery savermessages and electrical problems. I would like to get this resolved before my car loses power on the highway with my 3 children in it and possible getting hurt.also if the alternator in this car is different than the recall and is showing problems in my car dodge might be replacing the current recall alternators with the alternator in my car.
While driving all the warning on the drivers panel stated to ding and warning to not put car into park or it may not be able to be put back into gear. The service power steering warning, they stayed in making all sort of noise for a couple minutes. Power steering was not working all of a sudden either. I almost wrecked into the car beside me. Parked the car once i got home, boyfriend looked at it and it seemed fine to him. This happened a couple different times since then. The power steering will just stop working. The service power steering warning light comes on now and then. It is dangerous! i am just happy my daughter was not driving when it happened, that could have been tragic as she has only been driving just under 2 years. I have looked this up and it seems to be a problem that many others have experienced. It is so dangerous when the steering goes out, there should be a recall on this!

We go to leave used the key fob to unlock the car notice inside of the car is completely black, won't start. There was a ticking noise under the hood. Windshield wipers start moving. I test the key fob not responding. Dashboard lights up, message screen is white, car puts it's self in run but engine not starting. You can move the gear to put the car in neutral. The whole time dashboard and all lights are know blinking. Turn signals are on outside but dashboard doesn't reflect. Battery tested fine. I have video of what the car is doing. They completed a recall on the alternator due to not giving enough power to the car in 2015. Hopefully that's not the problem. Will be towed tomorrow to the dealership. Unable to load the video due to recorded on my phone.

11-23-16, driving on interstate at 65 mph in a 70mph ,suddenly steering wheel began to pull by itself left to right repeatedly for about 3-4 seconds ,i nearly lost control, braked gently and steering returned to normal,,battery saver mode came on a short before this happened, 2 hours later on a 40 mph city street i was making a normal low speed left turn on a green light, car seemed to not go where i steered it and we hit a traffic control pole, deploying all airbags, there was a light drizzle in both instances, but this was not a hydroplane, battery saver mode was on for over 4 hours during our entire trip until our accident.

Loss of anti-lock brakes and loss of traction control while driving.warning lights indicated for both.cause was a bad wheel sensor driver side rear.6,169 miles.
Was driving on a clear day when, my traction control went on and off by itself and the abs went off by itself causing me to lose control, it was hard to pull over with the abs going on and off on their own. Awd system also went on and off on its own. Brought car to dealer the very next morning they kept car the whole day and was told it was fine and that they got no codes. I had test the car for codes after the incident had taken place and i got the following coeds. U0415 ' abs, c147b front axle disconnected sensor. Yet the dealer gave me the car that i still under warranty back, with their own invoice stating no codes.i test the car for codes when i got from the car dealer and some of the codes were cleared, expect for abs u0415. The car is clearly not fine and the awd system is still not working the way it should. Also the car when park rolls everything time about a foot forward or back pending on slope of street. The road was a four lane road with two lanes east and two lanes west and i was going straight at about 35 mph, as i had just recently left from a red light.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle made a loud bump noise, pulled from front to back, and then decelerated. In addition, while driving various speeds, the brake, engine, electronic stability control, abs, and ekc warning indicators illuminated. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 57,830.
All dash warning lights are on. Loss of power steering trans slippery and sticking.
When driving,i pressed brake pedal to stop the car and heard a screech noise, car trembled a bit and came to a stop. When i continued to drive within a couple of minutes the abs light came on and the electrical stability light came on. It turned off for a couple of hours later, but it turned on again the next day in the morning when i started the vehicle and has stayed on since.
My vehicle was taken to a dealership to receive recall maintenance. The recall maintenance was completed by the dealership but the 3 recalls are still showing open according to this website. I am active duty military currently serving overseas and i have not been able to ship my vehicle yet because i'm still waiting on the recalls to clear so that i can provide the shipping agency with a recall letter.please provide me with guidance to remedy this issue as soon as possible. Thank you!
When i driving (i motion) i feel like the car wants to turn it off by it self, the panel looks like if i turn it on and off, and it wont start when i speed up
My 2014 dodge charger is brand new off the lot of lhm dodge in tucson, az. By 13,978 my car smelled like sulfur while in motion. Driving sluggishly, and the "battery saver mode" light on. Brought into larry h miller for repair. Was told the alternator needed replaced after 13,975 miles on the vehicle. At 14,100 miles the vehicle was making the same smell, and the battery safer mode light was on again . Returned it to lhm with complaints. They say "it's normal" manager told me "dodge just didn't make the alternator big enough for that engine, manufacturer flaw"at 14,432 miles, the vehicle not blowing cold air. Battery saver mode light was still on, smelled like sulfur and car was driving sluggish. I opened case with corporate. They "fixed" it, and sent me on my way. On june 17, 2016, my vehicle was driving sluggishly, the engine light on, called dodge immediately and was assigned a case manager. I called jim click immediately to get my vehicle in. My vehicle was 23,900 miles. Dodge claimed they could not get me in until july 1st and that its "fine to drive my vehicle as long as the light isn't flashing". Brought in for "repair" on june 1st.
While driving on a town road at about 35 mph, the warning lights for the abs and esc systems lit. I subsequently determined that the vehicle cruise control also no longer functioned. I contacted chrysler since the vehicle recently had a recall performed for alternator replacement, and symptoms included in that recall - chrysler p60 / nhtsa 14v-634 - indicate that modes of failure may include disabling abs and esc. Chrysler stated that "sometimes they may need to do the recall again". Brought vehicle to dealer. Diagnosed as a sensor failure. I had to pay for repairs.service writer stated that this failure happens on these cars quite frequently, and even "guessed" correctly what needed to be replaced before the tech worked on it. Esc and abs are both significant safety systems.
Two of the lights on the instrument cluster warning were on:esc(electronic stability control) and abs.i took my car for service at the dealer and i was told to leave it for repairs. After four days i received a phone call which i got informed that the replacement part was out of stockand it need to be order and they told me that even though the car needed repairs it was safe to drive it until the part arrives.after two weeks, i visited again the dealer and the part was not there and now and i have to wait and i also needed to be place in a waiting list in which i would have number 254 (those are the amount of cars which needs to replaced the same part). In my last visited to the dealer i informed that the car is worse because now it has strangevibration when pressing the brake and makes noise. After all this issues is very hard for me and i can feel safe driving the car.
So i've been going to dealership getting a oil change spark plugs change etc and also all recalls done at same dealership which i dont have a problem with but i've come to notice there is a problem with this oil filter adapter that seams pretty crazy buy the way manufacture built such faulty piece that is in a highly mantience area that would put many nice cars on side of highway or even stall from running a motor from a faulty piece as a dodge driver i was hit with this problem thinking i was goinng in for a oil change to have major work done by this faulty part that is on all 3.6 engine no matter charger or jeep or chrysler 300 so i think it would be highly appreciated for you guys to recall this so i can not be out of 1300 dollars because of this faulty part that at most should have been a 100 dollars out of pocket for full synthetic oil which is all i ride and also only dealerships change dodge dealer that is so i've read many forums on this i just notice they say we should reach out to you guys to do something about it.

The contact owned a 2014 dodge charger. While driving various speeds, the vehicle suddenly shut off. The vehicle was taken to landmark dodge chrysler jeep ram (6850 mt. Zion blvd, morrow, ga), but the cause of the failure could not be determined. After retrieving the vehicle, the failure continued. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly shut off. As a result, the driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole. The driver sustained chest and facial injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to an undisclosed location. The cause of the failure was not determined. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was 30,000. The vin was not available.
Car experienced rapid alternator failure. Requested dodge repair as part of recall, however they refused stating recall was limited to 160amp alternator and my charger had 180amp. After some research in chrysler forums, both the 160amp and 180 amp alternators are experiencing the same type of failure. Both should be on the recall list!
While driving on the highway at 65mph the vehicle shut off and i lost power steering. I was barely able to avoid being hit during heavy morning traffic. Once stopped i was unable to get the vehicle to restart and needed to be towed to the dealer.
When i start my car i hear a ticking sound coming from my engine as i accelerate the noise become louder an faster. I was told it could possibly be my rocker arms or lifters. I've done oil changes, ignition coil replacements an spark plugs an sound continues.
I notice oil dripping from under the car on sunday. Took it to the dealer on monday morning and was told it was the engine oil cooler and filter housing adapter. I was told it is very common on the 2014 dodge charger and they have been back ordered but i was lucky because they just got a shipment in saturday. I was told it has been leaking for a while before i noticed it dripping from under the car. If this is happening to a lot of these cars why is it not recalled? i had to pay $900 to fix something that should have never broke if it was made out of the right material and not plastic.

Takata recallwhile driving in the city streets the oil cooler assembly started leaking oil all the way from the top where its located to the transmission and exhaust pipes causing a lot of smoke come out because the oil burnig had to stop very quickly thinking the car was getting on fire. At first did not know where the leak was coming from after inspecting i noticed it was coming out where the oil cooler assambly is.
Sons car was parked in garage after returning from picking up lunch in columbus oh. Minutes later while in house he notice fire, explosion type sound, saw flames coming out of garage, called 911 ... Burned garage- completely destroyed, car totaled, flames spread to side of house. Fire officials report said cause of fire was from engine and an electrical mechanical issue in engine.
All cars to date have same probems lifters will go out, intake manfold will suck oil into the air chamber, seals replacement will not fix. Car has huge elec probem, car put togather in sections so there no sold ground, so all grounding points will fail. With 60k miles i had rebuild drive train trasfer case two axles failed, car suffers from computer rebooting wich for just sec everything reset, awd system has programing probems, the motor will fail after warenty, these cars was ment to break down, they ment to have probems as no dealership talks to headcords as they lose so much money to fix these probems, i been lie to by all dodge delear ships, pcm must be updated as in recall only part pcm was updated all the service builtions on it they never fix, in fack they told me to leave, so now i cant even get pcm updated, to note two delear ships i went to none in the shop was wareing mask none of them i must ask why they put my life at risk

My dodge charger caught fire and was a total loss due to the engine over heating... The fire marshal and investigator stated that the engine had a malfunction... All the parts on my vechile was the original.... I purchased my car brand new off the lot and only took my car to the dealership for any work prior to my total loss....my car was sitting parked when the fire occurred which started under the hood and i didn't have any work done on my car prior to the fire.
At5,500 miles, when i would accelerate into traffic, i would lose power to my pedal. My pedal would be non responsive for up to 40 seconds when the engine light would come on. After about 40 seconds, it could come alive and catch, but by then, i am in danger because the car behind me thinks i've accelerated to flow into traffic. Dealershipsaw the code where they said it was p0600 for oil pressure control circuit stuck. I was able to test drive with the tech who attached his laptop to the sensor, and show him the "stall/surge". He could see and feel the "stall/surge" as it was happening but the laptop did not register any issues. The tech tested and diagnosed the oil pressure switch was faulty. The tech replaced the oil pressure switch, but he said he could not duplicate it on his own. They changed the oil for me while it was in for service. Againon 6-10-15 at 12,443 mileswhen i was accelerating into traffic when the car "stalled/surged" and i was almost hit from behind. As soon as it happened, i immediately took it to the dealership. They were unable to look at it for a few days because they were so busy.9-26-15. It happened again, at 17,000 miles. It stalled/surged, it seems to happen when i am merging onto a freeway and i am the most vulnerable. I fear for my safety, i do not trust this vehicle. The dealership has had it since then, they are talking about replacing the engine.
Plastic oil filter housing cracked in multiple locations causing multiple persistent leaks. Oil leaks onto manifold. Replacement part was received with hairline fracture present and oil leak persists. Mechanic contracted local dealerships and received 45 day back order on this part. I called myself and was given no eta on new stock.
When i driving (i motion) i feel like the car wants to turn it off by it self, the panel looks like if i turn it on and off, and it wont start when i speed up
Car still rolling after complicated efforts to exit in and out of vehicle as the car is still in gear it keeps on rolling.it takes tremendous effort and concentration of the possibility of danger whenever exiting in and out of my car. This is pretty scary.
Recently my car was found to have an oil leak. It appears to be coming from the housing/cooling unit for my car.from doing research it is found that this seems to be a common problem with all 2014 dodge vehicles.this is causing oil to pool in the bottom of the engine.this if the oil is not checked regularly can cause a massive malfunction of the engine or even a vehicle fire.
Defective left cylinder in pentastar 3.6vl engine. My car was built in september 2013. It has the constant ticking and puttering associated with the defect. Drives fine, may or may not have the check engine light on, but when idle it shakes/knocks uncontrollably. My mechanic educated me on the defect after many attempts at repairing the severe misfiring. Contacted dodge and chrysler and was informed that because my car is a 2014 charger it did not have the 150,000 extended warranty for his known defect in chargers from 2011-2103; noting mine was built in 2013.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle decelerated and stalled without warning. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an unknown dealer. The technician cleared several diagnostic trouble codes from the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted and operated as intended however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 40 mph. The vehicle was taken to dodge country located at (1902 e central texas expy, killeen, tx 76541 (254) 200-3900) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the steering module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
Engine light came on car sputtered.
The car had an exhaust smell wednesday coming through the vents. That went away. No issues with performance. Notice days after car was loud. Figured it was just warming up with cold temperature. Last night car starts no problem. Drive to a friends house was maybe in her house 7 minutes.
Was traveling down roadway at approx. 45 miles per hour.rear impacted a second vehicle at approx. 20 mph pushing in radiator and engine to the fire wall and extensive front end damage.airbags never deployed.no injuries police report filed
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving 40 mph, the engine rpms increased to 5,000 without warning and caused the speed to increase to 90 mph. The contact powered the vehicle off and back on and the throttle warning indicator illuminated. The rpms increased to 7,000 while the vehicle was parked. The contact turned the vehicle off and restarted the vehicle and the accelerator pedal failed to respond. The contact depressed the brake pedal to stop the vehicle and the push button failed to power the vehicle off until after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and diagnosed that the accelerator pedal failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,500. The vin was unavailable.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact stated that the air pressure service message was displayed and the instrument panel was blank. Also, the "key fob was not detected" message was displayed and the vehicle failed to start. The contact called scott evans chrysler dodge jeep ram (2280 bankhead hwy, carrollton, ga, (770) 834-5050) and was informed that the battery needed to be replaced and the computer needed to be reset. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 88,700.
Lifters went bad with only 37000mi on it causing the camshaft be get worn.
The vehicle's engine was cold and it had been sitting in a parking lot for four days. I was attempting to merge into traffic from a toll booth. The vehicle would not accelerate past approximately 10 mph and it lost speed but the rpms were increasing. This went on for approximately five seconds and then the check engine light came on and i was able to accelerate into traffic. I drove for approximately 30 miles at 70 mph (after calling a servicing dealer who told me i would be okay driving the car unless the check engine light started to flash) then stopped for a traffic light. At the next two traffic lights the vehicle would not accelerate with cars backed up behind me and honking. The mph were at 15 but the rpms were at 2200. This went on for about five seconds at each light then happened again as i tried to merge onto another highway that was under construction with concrete barriers on both sides and had no where for me to wait for acceleration. The servicing dealer said they couldn't get my car in for 4 days. Two days later the check engine light went off. The next day the servicing dealer said they could not diagnose the problem without the check engine light on. They drove it for three days and then gave it back to me undiagnosed. The next day they said bring it back in because dodge engineers read the computer code and told them to replace the transmission. The servicing dealer discovered metal shavings in the pan while replacing the transmission. The servicing dealer did not know what caused metal shavings in the pan but one of their employees told me on the side they see the problem a lot and drivers will call because they hear a loud boom from the car .i am a week out with the new transmission and still notice it does not upshift smoothly when the engine is cold. Neither the servicing dealer or the selling dealer will help me with an extended warranty.
The vehicle has been having a pop up message which was stated battery save mode. I then replaced the battery for the key thinking it would help. I then started the vehicle battery and was no problems .today when i stared my car a white screen popped up where i see the messages in the dash board of speedometer. There after when i started my car it sound like was having a hard time turning.later that day while driving 25 mph my cst dcteem completely shut off. I tried jumping it, testing battery and it sounds as if alternator has went out. This is very unfortunate when this is a newer car and warranty just expired. I was driving
My vehicle is a 2014 dodge charger rt max awd with a transmission problem...during 3-4 upshift check engine light was produced while driving between 30-40mph. Taken and serviced at marino cjd in chicago on 6/2/14. Valvebody assembly replaced. On 6/3/14 during 3-4 upshift between 35-45mph check engine light produced again and engine power lost for 6 seconds and then regained. Taken for service again to marino cjd. Technician related same problem again. Chrysler main office instructed dealership not to replace the valvebody assembly again as the problem will happen again. Chrysler main office aware of the existing problem in similar vehicles as well and stated no solution available at this time.technician at dealership related vehicle unsafe to drive. No recall has been issued by chrysler. Chrysler told the dealership to clear the check engine light code and give me back the vehicle knowing full well the vehicle is unsafe to drive in the condition its in. Vehicle still at marino dealership sitting in the lot. Please look into the problem as chrysler doesn't care that i am without a vehicle that i purchased 2 months ago.
In my car the oil filter assembly was leaking oil and was replaced. I have found that this is an issue with every 3.6l engine by dodge 2014 and up. I spoke with a dodge service representative and he said it was the worst design they have ever put onto this motor due to the amount of cars that have had the same issue. I feel this issue should be dealt with asap because for numerous reasons. First reason being oil flying throughout the engine cab can cause a fire. Second reason being that oil leaking while driving can cause dangerous driving conditions for other motorists whether it's slipping on oil leaked by my vehicle or from oil being sprayed up from my vehicle coating their windshield. Also another danger for me the operator is the nauseous smell of oil burning going through my heating system is extremely dangerous. I hope that you see this complaint and take it serious and investigate this issue because i truly feel that this is a serious hazard. I have since had the part replaced with an upgraded part that dodge offers. And i had it installed by the dealership i bought the car from due to being much cheaper. Thank you!
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact started the vehicle and a loud whining noise emitted from underneath the hood. The failure occurred only after the vehicle was repaired according to nhtsa campaign number: 14v634000 (electrical system); however, the remedy was insufficint. The contact attempted to contact the dealer numerous times. The vehicle was not repaired for the second time. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.
Takata recall there is a ticking sound sometimes it lounder then others but sound like it does have oil like if the lifter are dry but the vehicle has oil it need takingbit to the dodger dealership but they where no help [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'pm
I am very need to the car free report i need to theis please jkhjhk
The check engine light came on, called the dealer and he said bring it in and we did.they ran all kinds of test on the engine and they determined that the cam shaft was bad.the dealer was in contact with chrysler headquarters ,there decision was to replace the entire engine.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. After restarting, the vehicle resumed normal operation. The failure recurred on three separate occassions. In addition, the abs and anti-skid warning indicators illuminated during braking as the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The brake functioned properly within seconds. The failure recurred sporadically. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing; however, a failure code was not detected. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.
Vehicle air cooling system frequently shorts out, blowing hot air instead, even when on max cool mode. This happens while driving on city streets or while stationary; but depending on outside temperature can also happen on highway.it sounds as if the compressor shuts off. I have already had the system recharged the last two summers and having the same issue now.no freon leaks were found.
While driving home from work, my transmission started to slip/skip and started to shift very roughly from that point. After a few visits to my dealer and after they kept my car for a week, it was then determined that the valve body inside the transmission needed replaced, and chrysler will not give rental cars out due to the vehicle still being drivable. (wtf?) the part needed to fix the transmission is on backorder and chrysler currently does not know when they will have it in because it has to come from a vendor, so now i'm stuck with a $40000 paper weight in my driveway until chrysler gets off their sorry butts to get this problem resolved. Due to this part being on backorder, this is obviously a common problem that i feel chrysler should make a recall.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. When the contact activated the air conditioner, hot air emitted from the passenger side and rear vents. The contact mentioned that only the driver side vent emitted cool air. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 39,000.
The led's have started to go out (not illuminate) in the center, deck mounted tail light assembly.this is a safety item as it provides rear illumination at night.apparently, this is an extremely common problem.
The led stop lights on all the new vehicles are very, very brights. When directly behind on after dark at a stop the lights are so bright that they hurt my eyes, forcing me to close my eyes until they release the brake. This is not the only make/model with this issue: all new cars with led brake lights have the same issue.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact stated that while driving at 20 mph, the interior lights flickered, the stereo failed, and the brake pedal vibrated when it was depressed. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle veered to the driver and passenger side intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,007.
Passenger side headlight began flickering off and on for months. Finally went out all the way. Replaced bulb. Did not fix the issue. Checked fuses as this seemed to be a common issue on internet forums. Did not fix issue. Next step is changing headlight pigtail. I just saw that there was a recall on the 2011-2012 charger headlight wiring harness. I believe the dodge needs to expand their recall after all the customers experiencing issues with one sided headlight failure.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving 35 mph, the rpm gauges malfunctioned and the contact heard an abnormal popping sound. As a result, the contact lost power steering, brake functionality, the exterior lighting malfunctioned, and the vehicle could not be shifted into park. The various warning indicators illuminated. The prestigue chrysler dealer was contacted, but did not offer any assistance. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While operating the vehicle, the rear lights intermittently failed to illuminate. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer (st. Charles dodge, 1611 e. Main st, st. Charles, il) were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 45,000.
The new line of dodge cars (challenger, dart, charger) have a led ring of lights as the rear tail lights on the cars. They are way too bright for tail lights (notice i didn't say brake lights). They need to be changed out with softer/dimmer lights. It's like following someone with high-beam tail lights. I hope there is something that can be done to make dodge stop doing this, and prevent other auto makers from installing bright led lights on the rear of cars.
Gasoline leaking into cab from faulty or poor quality components or seals. Gas vapors inside car cause potential concerns for ignition and or explosion. Vehicle was stationary at home. Dodge customer service unhelpful.
"takata recall" the car has a raw fuel smell that fills the cabin and also the trunk area, especially when i fill tank. I have taken to 2 mechanics and they could not find a leak. The car does this moving and sitting still, running or off.
While driving on the highway at 65mph the vehicle shut off and i lost power steering. I was barely able to avoid being hit during heavy morning traffic. Once stopped i was unable to get the vehicle to restart and needed to be towed to the dealer.
The dodge charger has a critical design flaw on the top of the fuel pump located below the drivers side passenger seat. The fuel pump housing cover is prone to cracking and thus results in fuel leaking outside the fuel pump and the surrounding areas. The fuel leaking will occur regardless of if the vehicle is stationary or in motion. The poorly designed fuel pump cover does very little to contain the fuel inside the fuel pump and creates a very dangerous situation where petrol is being leaked into many different areas that can easily result in vehicle fires and death. My dodge charger is in very good condition and this fuel leak had nothing to do with vehicle maintenance or driving habits. The fuel pump is simply designed in a reckless manner which has already resulted in multiple vehicle fires and death in dodge chargers and dodge challengers. I urge you to please act swiftly in recalling and resolving this matter before more lives are lost.
Evaporative emission system large (fuel odor caused by the release of fuel vapors)
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving 5 mph over a speed bump, the contact heard an abnormal sound coming form the vehicle. A few days later, the contact smelled an abnormal exhaust odor. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that a hold was in the catalytic converter and it would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired because the technician refused to do the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 35,096. The vin was not provided.

Ever since purchasing this vehicle there has been a clunking noise and the whole car moves whenever putting in gear or putting in park. And there is a loud clunk.i went to purchase gas at a shell station( i only use shellpremium gas) and went inside to pay for the gas. I came back hit the fuel door release button and went to the pump. I went to place the nozzle in my tank and the metal plate that covers the fuel tank wouldnt not move. I called my husband and he came to help me and there was no way to get the plate open. I called the dealership where i bought the car and was told that they had never heard anything like that had i tried to put diesel in my tank. I am a former truck driver and know the difference between diesel and regular gas. And that was not the issue. The dealership also could not figure out what the problem is. I went to a station that has a mechanic and he used a tool and was able to unlock it so that we could fill up the tank. I am not currently driving the car until the dealership can get it in to be repaired because if i did run out of gas there is no way for me to put gas in the vehicle. So i am stuck without a vehicle even though i have a brand new car with less than 5,000 miles on it. This is ridiculous because no one seems to know how to fix the problem. And all the dealerships in the houston area have a 4 -5 day wait time for them to even look at my car.
My car was parked when i noticed oil leaking from under the car. After getting this issue checked out it was brought to my attention is was the oil filter housing. After calling several dealerships i was made aware this has been a very common issue in all dodge/jeep/chrysler models 2014. So common that the replacement part is on 100,000 back ordered.
When fueling vehicle, at the point the vehicle is about topped off, gas starts leaking from underneath the vehicle near the driver side rear tire.a very strong odor of gasoline fumes can be smelled inside the passenger cabin.occurs when vehicle is stationary being filled.
The emergency brake doesn't work. This is the second time i need to take it in because the emergency brake doesn't work properly. ...updated 09/22/15
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. After stopping the vehicle and switching the transmission to the park position, the vehicle suddenly erroneously rolled backwards as the driver stepped out. The vehicle crashed into a parking median. There were no injuries. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 54,000.
While driving on expressway vehicle automatically went into neutral. Would not go back into drive mode. Had to veer to the side of road. Very dangerous almost caused accidents. When vehicle stopped still couldn't put vehicle into drive. Turned car off vehicle would not turn back on.

Having a transmission related issue. Vehicle makes a jolt foward when coming to a complete stop. Sometimes it's not so bad but you can tell it's downshifting late or hard when completing a stop. This happens 90 percent of the time when my vehicle comes to a stop. I have the 8 speed transmission in the sxt version charger v6. I have done my research and have found many charger owners experiencing the same issue with no results on what's the cause or how to fix the issue. Dodge is supposedly aware of this issue and has since came out with a pcm transmission flash update. The update has proven to be ineffective for everyone including myself. The problem affects 2011 -2014 8 speed chrysler and dodge. I have owned my vehicle for 4 months and have been back to the dealer several times and have been told nothing they can do unless a recall is placed.
Dodge charger was taken in to certified dodge service center for same problem 3 different times before the 4th time the problem occurred, which resulted in a car accident. Main problem: gear shift/lever sticks and has to be forced into desired gear. Also, when check engine light comes on, car stays in park and will not shift into any other gear. On july 18th, 2017, car was started, check engine light appeared and car would not shift out of park. Car was turned off and then restarted. Check engine light was still on but car was able to shift into drive. Drove approximately 200 feet to stop sign located at highway 70 and ar-88. Oncoming traffic from the left (traveling east) was approximately 2,000 feet back leaving enough space and time to cross intersection. As car was crossing intersection (i was attempting to go west) the car stalled and the car went into park and would not shift into any other gear. Because car would not move, shift into any other gear etc. , oncoming car traveling east slammed into driver side rear end. Oncoming car did not realize that our car (dodge charger) was not able to move and attempted to swerve but still collided with back end of car. Had the car not malfunctioned, the attempt to cross intersection would have been successful therefore no accident would have occurred. Again, car has been taken into a certified dodge service center multiple times for this exact problem and multiples times it was claimed "fixed" or "problem could not be duplicated". Gear shift on this car has had problems from the beginning and has only worsened over time. Driver of dodge charger suffered back trauma from accident and is seeking medical care as well.updated 08/02/17 updated 10/13/17

My vehicle had 114k miles on it and was running smoothly with no error on display.took it in for the 100k maintenance and now it has a check engine light on it, and when it sitting idle it's misfiring and making noises.before i took it in, before the technician replace spark plugs my car was great now he telling me it going to cost 5k to repair it
While driving i-405n at approx 63mph, my cel & tc lamp illuminated and car stalled out leaving me with no steering functions, then suddenly it turned back on and red-lined for almost 20secs straight leaving me at wot speeding straight towards the vehicle in front of me.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, when he heard an abnormal noise. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to drive to his destination. The vehicle was taken to local dealer elmwood chrysler dodge jeep ram (625 taunton ave, east providence, ri 02914: (401) 438-0400) where it was diagnosed with needing all 4 tires to be replaced. The contact stated he had the tires replaced but continued to experience the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and was informed the drive shaft was needing to be replace. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 17v097000 (power train) however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.

While in motion the vehicle will shift down so the engine revs up until the brake is pressed.this happens at different speeds.it has happened while driving in the city and on the highway.the transmission seems to be the cause of the problem since it starts shifting gears on it's own.the vehicle has now been doing this since 2/16/19 and has done it almost every day since.

When driving my vehicle their is a knocking noise in my front right wheel, almost sounds as if some bolts are loose. Also when pulling in to back up, when i turn my steering wheel a certain way their is a funny clicking sound in the steering wheel, and funny sound in the brake when i am backing my car into my drive way. I believe that this may be an issue with a recall that hasn't been looked into.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v240000 (power train). The vehicle was not repaired. When the gear was shifted into park and the contact exited, the vehicle rolled backwards and crashed into a fence. The open door caught the fence and it pulled the door backwards. The vehicle was damaged. A police report was not filed. An injury was sustained, but medical attention was not required. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 34,000.
I was driving a rented 2014 dodge charger on a rural road and needed to turn around. I began a three point turn and when i attempted to shift the transmission in to reverse the shifter would not go in to the reverse position. As a result i was stuck crosswise across the road, in danger of being struck broadside by any oncoming traffic. Fortunately there wasn't any traffic. I continued to attempt to shift in to reverse and after several more attempts i was finally able to. This was just one of several times during the week i rented this vehicle that i was unable to put the shifter in to the gear i needed, whether it be drive or reverse. This is a potentially hazardous flaw. The shifter on this vehicle is extremely vague and frequently overshoots the desired position. The shifter seems to be electric rather than mechanical which would account for the absence of a mechanical locking of the shifter.
The transmission seems to be revving and slowing itself down around the 30 mph area. There is a jerking motion around this speed as well. It is acting like it wants to shift, but can't. When i get up past 28-31 mph the problem goes away, but i am afraid that it might stick as some point and cause an accident! i have heard it is a known transmission problem from a mechanic from dodge.i know it asks when did this happen, well, it happens everyday i drive it!

Between 30-60 mph, awd transfer case actuator kept disengaging/engaging while driving.slight jarring of car occurred when action happened.it was taken to a dodge dealership in nov 2019 and a software upgrade was performed which seems to have resolved the issue.i had to pay ~$68 for this service.google/web discussions show this is a broad issue among the dodge charger awd, and should probably be considered a company-covered recall/repair rather than a charge borne by car owner.
After the pcm / tcm cruise control recall service, the transmission has not been the same.the shifting is all off and the transmission lunges and clunks.i have taken the vehicle back to the dealer several times. They report the transmission is functioning properly.when clearly it is not.the car lunges forward when coming to a stop.

I went for a routineoil change by a reputable dealer. I was notified i had an oil leak. After finding the source of the problem. I was notified i will need a new oil filter housing unit. This is strange. At the time i didn't noticeany oil leakage. I was told the housing will hold around a quart of oil before you know its leaking. I could have burned my moter up. No lights came on. I spent 450.00 getting it repaired.

Driving car down highway car at approximately 55-60 accelerates does a 180 and continues down the highway in reverse at 60-70 miles per hour for approximately 1/2 mile before being stopped by running in to ditch. I has 2 hands on the wheel at all times thank godnothing stopped the car from going into reverse and not sure how transmission was able to go into reverse without depressing brake or touching shift lever. There were barriers on both sides and no shoulder the car did the 180 without crashing into barriers i was in left lane going forward after 180 was in left lane going in reverse car was going pretty straight in reverse knew i had to stop car but not too fast knew was going to hit something because road does not have many straight point as i slowed the car the back end slid down hill off side of roadthe car did not slow down.

Front passenger seat does not lock in position.when braking or stopping hard, the seat travels forward in its track potentially causing the passenger's knees to hit the lower dashboard.even though the seat adjustment mechanism seems to lock in position when setting the position, it does not lock and will slide forward upon bard braking or a sudden stop.

"takata recall" my emergency brake comes on by itself without even being pushed down on and slows my car down then my shifter sounds like its sticking and then my dashboard starts blinking.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. After restarting, the vehicle resumed normal operation. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.
Car has challenges stopping safely and the suspension is secured properly. Even after inspection still no satisfactory condition
While driving and preparing to turn my vehicle took control and i was no longer able to break or turn. Thankfully there was nobody in the neighbor at the time and with less than a foot from hitting the stop sign i was able to stop.i took it to the dealer where i purchased (1.5 years prior)and they said nothing was wrong just needed a new battery. I insisted this was not the issue so the manager had his associate test drive to come to the same conclusion the steering and brake system is fine. Not happy i left after purchasing the battery and here we are 1.5 weeks later with the same issue. I tried to drive out of work yesterday and i lost control to my steering and it locked. I put my car in park and tried once more the same thing happened, i then try to restart but it would not allow me to do so. I had to disconnect the battery and it started. Not feeling safe for my life i left the car at work and still do not want to drive it. From what i am reading i am not the only 2014 dodge charger having this issue. I need this fixed if i was on the freeway who knows what would have happened.
Car has approximately 90,000 miles. Driving on interstate at highway speed, car suddenly popped 3 lights; traction control, abs, and the parking brake indicator. Repair shop has diagnosed as the abs module needing replacement. There are no other symptoms besides the warning lights and cruise control not working.at this time i have no way of knowing if any of these systems have actually failed since the abs module has shut off these systems.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly shut off and the driver was unable to steer or stop the vehicle before crashing into a tractor trailer and a guardrail.

The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While approaching a red light and depressing the brake pedal, the brakes failed to engage and the contact's vehicle rolled into the rear of another vehicle. A police report was filed and no injuries were sustained. The failure occurred on several occasions. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
While traveling on the freeway (in the lane next to the carpool lane) the car immediately pulled to the extreme left causing me to crash into the center divider.during this time, i had no control over the vehicle.when i was finally able to come to a complete stop, the tire was pulled back next to the front driver door, but still upright and headed forward. You could see where the tire had been spinning against the body of the car. (these are known symptoms of a failed ball joint) unfortunately, the complete tire assembly was ripped off as it was loaded onto the tow truck. Chrysler has since ruled that the accident was caused by my "misuse/abuse" of the vehicle.however, it was only 4 months old and very well taken care of.a total of $13,000 of damage was done to car, of which they have placed the blame solely on me; based off of photos that i took after the accident.i waited three weeks for them to send an investigator out to look at my car... He never showed up.the repair work was started on my vehicle without my authorization. (cover up??) the body shop (which is at the dodge dealership where i initially purchased the car)has since advised me to let them finish the repair work, and attempt to trade the car in.i have expressed to them and the chrysler group that i would not feel safe in that car if it was fixed.i also find it unfair that my insurance would have to pay for their mistake and faulty part.i could have been killed in that accident, i hope that others who have experienced this problem will come forth so that lives may be saved in the future and injuries prevented.
My powersteering pump and alternator went out on my 2014 while i was driving thank god know accident occurred had it tow to the dealershipthey put both parts brand new 10 days later it gone back out had to have it tow back to the dealership
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving 20 mph, the steering seized and the check engine, brake, abs and steering assist warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000.
I have owned the car for a little over a year, since then i have had the steering wheel and the steering wheel rod/column completely come out in my lap.. Once while driving. I have already had it fixed by my certified preowned warranty and once again it has done it. This time it took off my windshield wiper lever, it has completely destroyed my interior and unfortunately the warranty did not cover that which is not fair. Remember the steering wheel column and rod is very heavy and does much damage when it falls in your lap while driving. I have been the only owner, it has never been in an accident, i have only serviced and bought it from a dodge dealership. The car now has 69,000 miles and recently was fixed over a month ago and issue still remains. My car was in the shop for over 20 days i did not get a rental vehicle and it was the most pain i've ever experienced when it comes to dealing with warrantees and dealerships i have ever experienced in my life. This needs to be addressed or i will take other matters. I have been the only owner, it has never been in an accident, i have only serviced and bought it from a dodge dealership. And now the cruise control does not work
Experiencing difficulty turning left, especially quickly. Seems to lose power steering or begins to lock up and not want to turn left. Operates normally while turning right. Happens at low speeds, have not tested at high speed due to safety concerns.
It is real hard to turn my car wheel; i was told it was some electrical problems. But i'm really not sure; it came out the blue.
Power steering goes out completely without warning , wasn't out of fluid completely but added some and went out again after , car was inspected and nothing is wrong with the pump or reservoir and shouldn't go out . It goes out while driving down the road then comes back on , does not make any noises or anything else , cannot turn and randomly comes on and off while driving
When the wheel is turned, a noise is being heard, squeaking, in certain positions, steering is ok but the noise is very intimidating, also, there was noise coming out of the engine bay into the car one day, it stopped so that's off the list, but as i read online, the steering wheel problem is common among dodge owners, and dealers refuse to fix or acknowledge the problem, not to mention that the vehicle is fairly new.....less than a year old....
Vehicle was making a grumbling noise at very low speed while turning in any direction, such as backing out or a driveway & turning wheels to face the proper direction to exit. This led me to take the car into a vehicle repair shop where certified asi mechanics could inspect & hopefully repair. What they discovered was that the power steering fluid level was fairly low. They simply added the proper & specific fluid type that is used in that particular vehicle made by the car manufacturer mopar. This surprisingly fixed the issue to what i am assuming will be a temporary resolution. Based on my own extensive research & common knowledge, i have discovered this is a very common issue. Somehow the fluid is leaking, or seeping out somewhere from the allegedly sealed steering system. What i discovered based on research, is that obviously a sealed system should not leak, or seep, & with it being sealed it cannot evaporate. Most issues w/the vehicle steering pump have been leaks from around the 2 seals of the reservoir fluid tank. A replacement tank & seals can be purchased separately rather than entire pump assembly which is very expensive. Another common issue is that the "rack" outer seal leaks. Unfortunately the atf+4 stock fluid is aggressive on these seals & they can/will become porous over time & leak. Additionally, the pump, it's hoses, & the seals on the ends of the rack are now known as leak points. The entire system should be recalled & replaced after fixing these issues. If the fluid becomes too low the vehicle & its driver/occupants will experience a power steering failure in which the steering will simply shut down & not perform its function - steering! i don't need to comment as to how extremely dangerous this could be; not just for occupants in the said vehicle, but the occupants in other vehicles. My young son drives this exact vehicle, & i am deeply concerned.
My dodge chargers power steering would quit both while in park and drive, when in the car and the incident would occur you could not turn the vehicles steering wheel. It was taken to the dealer on a tow truck due to vehicle not being able to function properly.
2014 dodge charge police car loses all power steering when turned left. We have 4 of these models at our police agency and all 4 are doing the same thing. After speaking with several other police chief's, they all stated that the electrostatic power steering pump was bad and it was a multiple thousand dollar fix for them. Our local dodge dealer says to fix each fleet car, the cost will be over $2000 per car. With this many issues, there should be an investigation and a recall. Further, when the vehicle is in motion and the steering wheel is turned left, all power steering is lost.
When driving and acceleraing lost power to the instrument cluster and powwr steering.
Around 70k miles i noticed my car not wanting to turn left, especially when braking. The wheel seems to lock up and is very difficult to turn. I also noticed a knocking, rattling type noise, that seems to come from the wheel area, when turning either left or right and at low and high speeds.i took my car to a dodge dealership to be checked.i was told i needed new brakes, rotors and lower control arms replaced.which i had them replaced.i took car back because it is still doing the same thing, i was told they do not see or know any reason why it's still happening. The check engine light came on,codes ps401 and p06dd was reported.the locking of the wheel is occurring more frequently and i'm afraid to drive the vehicle.
Power steering pump all of a sudden, just went out. Luckily i was parking my car at home.
While driving my car just about every light on my dash flashed onthen the steering wheel light stayed on; as it became hard for me to turn wheel after i had pulled over to turn car off. I took to mechanic and he detected that it was the power steering pump. The mechanic called dealership for car part the next day because dodge service department was closed because of holiday. So today when he called he said they informed him that it was a common problem with the dodge chargers. My question is if it is known to be a problem with the power steering pump with the dodge chargers shouldn’t it be a recall on it.
Power steering system failure.
2014 dodge charger with only 55k miles on it - power steering going out, mid drive it will set off the power steering warning lights and then sometimes the power steering goes out.this seems ridiculous for a low mileage car!
2014 dodge charger has power steering failure, no accidents to cause damage have occurred. Power steering has gone out but will occasionally function for several seconds causing potential crashed at high speeds on freeway. This dangerous issue has been getting worse over several months and we are not the only ones to have it.
I was sitting in my car in front of my house . I went to start the car then my dashboard was blinking with engine light ,battery light and brake light . Then suddenly i seen "service power steering " my wheel was extremely hard to turn . I took it up to the stealers to tell me it's a electrical pump issue that will cost me 2,000 dollars. This electrical issue came out of no where . After i reading different consumers testimony , i noticed this has been an ongoing issue with their steering pump . If i was out on the road and my steering where stopped on me , i could've been died . It should be a law suit filed on them . I would not recommend anyone to ever purchase anything from dodge.
The vehicle when i purchased it 3 months ago has pretty low mileage and $79,000 on it well i noticed the whole time i heard a creaking sounding when i would turn the tires and then when i went to georgia because i live in tennessee for christmas and by the time i got back to tennessee i couldn't even turn my wheel and i guess the fuel pump went out in it but it's a new car and it's been taken really good care of i'm just wondering why the pump went out on it so fast when i was driving so fast i could wrecked and everything
Wife dropped me off at work and literally the service power steering system light came on the dash. They vehicle lost power steering and this happened out of nowhere.thankfully she was stopped in a parking lot when this happened and the power steering quit
This is not safe at all
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While the vehicle was parked, the steering wheel was difficult to turn left and right. In addition, the instrument cluster warning indicators were flashing and the "service power steering" message was displayed. The contact called the local dealer (heggs chrysler dodge ram, 6130 e auto park drive, mesa, az 85206, (480) 565-5627), but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 110,000.
All dash indicators started flashing and there was a message stating not to put the car in park or it will not go back into a gear. Service power steering light came on and power steering went completely out, almost causing an accident. If there were traffic, it would have. Parked car, started it a few hours later and everything seemed fine. Driving on residential street and power steering went out suddenly again. Service power steering message has remained and the power steering no longer works at all. This is a safety issue! i am thankful my 17 year old daughter was not driving any of the times it happened!
Backing out of parking place power steering lights lit up on dash, car would not move. Steering completely failed, had i been on the road would have caused a terrible crash. Had to have the vehicle towed.
While driving on the highway at 65mph the vehicle shut off and i lost power steering. I was barely able to avoid being hit during heavy morning traffic. Once stopped i was unable to get the vehicle to restart and needed to be towed to the dealer.
I was driving down the city street and as i went to turn the corner the steering wheel was almost impossible to turn. It took all my strength and careful braking not to hit the car in the oncoming lane of traffic. I immediately took to a certified mechanic and they tell me the power steering pump is out. After doing a quick search online i find that this is a fairly common issue. It is so common of an issue that dodge is in short supply of new power steering pumps with only like 3 in the state of florida at the time of this writing.
Steering cut out when turningi have three car doing the same
While driving all the warning on the drivers panel stated to ding and warning to not put car into park or it may not be able to be put back into gear.
70,000 miles on my dodgeonly bought/serviced from dodgelarry h miller. Aurora, colorado only owner no accidentssteering wheel column/rod/wheel has come out in my lap now twice!!!once while driving. Happens when i adjust the steering wheel lever to go up or down was fixed over a monthago for the first incident (warranty covered most) i still had to pay some out of picket...happened again a few weeks ago!it has been in the shop for over 20 days for the first incidentnow i'll need it to be fixed again.. Same issue very unsafe i could have wrecked how does the steering wheel just come out... Twice!?filed a corporate complaint now twice with dodge/chrysler my alignment is still off tires that are new are smoking due to not being fixed properly total care auto certified pre owned warranty sent adjuster and saw the first incident and paid $$$ thousands to fix this. Now it has happened again...looks like it has never been fixed and the whole rod and wheel are out again once again my car is broken and needs to be towed just because i adjusted the steering wheel ....needs to be addressed asap! i will be contacting a lawyer about lemon law for state of colorado this is a very unsafe vehicle why did or is there no airbag...
My steering wheel when turning left or right is becoming difficult to turn and makes squealing noise when turned. When brought to the dealership it was told to me thatnothing was coming up wrong with the steering on the cpu. I was told i would have to wait until the steering pump goes to make any fixes. After research many of other 2014 dodge charger users have had issues with their steering wheel completely locking or losing any control of the steering while driving at high speeds.
Backing up to park, power steering completely failed. Had to have vehicle towed, not able to drive. Several complaints about power steering failure. Had i been on the highway, would've crashed!
I was stopped at an intersection with a 4 way stop.a car pulled up to my left so i pulled into the intersection.i began pulling into the intersection to make a left turn and another car came speeding up, pulled around the car to my left and hit my car on the left (driver's) side.i was thrown forward and hit my head on the sunvisor, causing a subdural hematoma in my head.this resulted in my spending 8 days in he icu unit of memorial hospital, springfield, illinois
The power steering pump was replaced because of on and off stiffness while driving.this was very frightening because the steering wheel will not release while turning. The dealership replaced the pump about 3 times and still cannot correct the problem.
Power steering pump has devoloped a leak. 65,000 miles. Pumps are on backorder making it appear to be a very common issue. Driving on highways is fine. Makes for steering at slow speeds in parking lots communities etc very difficult.
As i was making a turn (car was in motion on street), the steering wheel stiffened up, the car became extremely hard to control. After completing the turn i pulled into a empty parking space. I turned off the and then turned on the car. I then received a message from the car saying "service power steering". I decided to drive around the block to see if there would be any change in handling of the car. There was none, so i parked the car in the driveway.
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving approximately 40 mph, the steering ability became difficult. The contact drove the vehicle to a parts dealer and was informed to take the vehicle to a dealer. The vehicle was taken to parkway chrysler dodge (21560 hall rd, clinton township, mi 48038) where it was determined that the steering rack needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 61,000.
When i driving (i motion) i feel like the car wants to turn it off by it self, the panel looks like if i turn it on and off, and it wont start when i speed up
Alternator recall that matches exact issue, make (dodge), model (charger), year (2014), and engine size of car (3.6l v6). Alternator malfunction caused short circuit of hydro-electric power steering pump. Indicator lights began to flash and car would begin to stall while in operation until eventually dying completely. Alerted that vin number was not part of the recall and had to have all work done at local mechanic.
'takata recall' driving my vechicle on city roads is fine, the vechicle runs perfectly but taking it in the highway is another problem. Picking up highway speeds the dashboard begins to shake as well as the steering wheel. It happens when i reach 80mph and is a concern to me. I've never experienced a problem like that in a vechicle so i thought it was a problem and told the dealership where i brought the vechicle from. Unfortunately the problem wasn't resolved so i'm askinging is this a problem i should worry about

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 14v634000 (electrical system), 16v043000 (structure), 16v240000 (power train), and 15v467000 (air bags, seat belts). The parts were not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The contact called the dealer several times, but the line was not connected to the service center and the call was disconnected several times. The dealer (earnhardt jeep, 1521 e drivers way, gilbert, az 85297, (888) 294-0643) did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The contact was unable to determine when the vehicle would be repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
I am very need to the car free report i need to theis please jkhjhk
It has electrica problems, specially on lights. The reverse light stays on even the car is on park or turned off. The notification light keeps staying oneverytime even though the problem is already fix. The tire pressures keeps on going down everyday.
Was traveling down roadway at approx. 45 miles per hour.rear impacted a second vehicle at approx. 20 mph pushing in radiator and engine to the fire wall and extensive front end damage.airbags never deployed.no injuries police report filed
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. The contact stated that while reversing from a parking space, the front bumper detached from the vehicle. The contact was able to snap the bumper back on using the plastic prongs attached to the bumper. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was informed that in order for the front bumper to have detached something must have been exposed to it. The contact stated that they were concerned for their safety. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 4,400.
My charger is already chipping paint in the driver side door jam. I took it to the dodge dealer boby shop and asked them to take pictures of it and send it out but the repair man said he was not going to and said that i just dont take care of my car. I offerred to show him the other chargers on his lot that are slightly used and that have the same problem but he didnt want to.every excuse he has didnt make any sense and when i was done explaining to him that didnt happen he jumped to another theory of his. He did offer to touch it up with paint but i can do that myself. Just regular paint isnt going to fix that problem. The door end needs repainted. Over %90 of the chargers are doing this. I could send you numerous pictures of different chargers in my city at dealerships that have this problem or have been touched up by paint.

Failure of the front lower control arm and tension strut bushings.

The right rear suspension trailing link that bolts to the sub frame the sub frame mounting bracket sheared off the sub frame. This car has was a rental car before i purchased it. The data recorded was retrieved and nothing shows this was caused by me. The left side has visible wear and stress in the frame, i do not feel safe in this car even if this car is repaired. This caused a minor accident making me spin when it sheared off. It looks as though this was a manufacturing defect with the welding of this part.
Car has challenges stopping safely and the suspension is secured properly. Even after inspection still no satisfactory condition
The contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle made an abnormally loud sound. When the brake pedal was activated, the rear end of the vehicle vibrated.the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 32,616.
Two teens were found dead in the vehicle with the engine running while parked in a parking lot.the cause of death is pending toxicology, possible carbon monoxide poising. The vehicle exhaust pipes had been cut off directly behind the rear wheels, and above the bottom of the side panels.it is unknown who cut them or when they were cut. The police did not test the vehicle.the vehicle is available for inspection at our office.

My car often sometimesthe abs & traction control light pop up out of the blue at the same time then goes off & also it seems at times the transmission gets stuck when reducing speed coming to s stop also the vehicle all of a sudden just turn off on me when i was run my a.c in a drive through as i proceeded to pull off
When driving (mainly low speed) there is a metal to metal/popping type noise coming from lower area. Seems to be somewhere with rotation of tires, or suspension travel, or transmission. Only when there is movement with the vehicle, sounds as if there are 2 pieces of metal rubbing/bumping together intemittently. It is not a constant noise, seems to be more noise on rougher road conditions. Dodge dealer said they cannot "rip apart my vehicle without knowing the cause of noise."
Spare tire jack recall - when i tried to schedule an appointment with the dealer they said it would take at least 2 hours and the recall notice says it should take 30 minutes. I cannot take that much unpaid leave from work for a recall that should not take that much time.
The passenger door panel is coming loose. Since there are airbags in this area, they might be affected by this issue. I believe this problem should be fixed as soon as possible.
My 2014 dodge charger has now had the steering wheel and rod come out in my lap twice now while driving within three months. I have reported this with fca corporate, this is now my third report and complaint with the vehicle safety department, now two open safety claims with chrysler corporate in denver and also have had the repairs done once by larry h miller i am trying to get the same repair done again but no one will return my phone calls and no one is willing to take accountability of this vehicle and fix it. Total care warranty has a contract with larry h miller for 12 months or 12,000 miles that they must fix the repairs no matter what. Larry h miller claimed that total care was not going to cover the fixes even though they are the ones that are supposed to fix it. Fraud, lies, unsafe and unprofessional practices. I have almost been in an accident twice now. The steering wheel literally falls out while i am adjusting it up or down even if i am going slow or in park. No one will fix my vehicle, no one will call me back. I contacted the dealership i bought it from since i am the first and only owner, and they will not return my phone calls. Gerry with fca management in the claims department in denver with whom my claims were managed by, now he will not return any of my emails or phone calls regarding my cases with chrysler corporate. I will be contacting the manufacturer and the secretary of transportation and also file this federally. By law i should have an equivalent vehicle replaced since mine is a faulty vehicle. I have a defective part and already replaced and covered by my warranty for almost $6000 and now within a month the exact same steering wheel and rod fell into my lap while driving while it was raining took off my windshield wiper lever now i have no blinkers now i have no windshield wipers and now my cruise control and all wheel drive or out too. *dt *dt *dt
Safety recall s03/nhtsa 16v-046.the dealer, parkway chrysler dodge, in clinton twp., michigan failed to remedy this defect within a reasonable time.i first notified the dealer on 4/22/2016, and have called repeatedly to set up an appointment.they have me on a waiting list, and it already has been 4 months.the dealer says chrysler will only send them a limited number of parts, so i could be waiting many more months for the repair.i feel this is unacceptable.

"takata recall" my emergency brake comes on by itself without even being pushed down on and slows my car down then my shifter sounds like its sticking and then my dashboard starts blinking.
I was driving down the road and i made a left turn.when making a left turn icould feel the steering wheel shaking and could hear a noise sounding like the tire is going to fall from up under the vehicle.i became scared and scheduled an appointment for service at dodge.they said they replaced the tire rods and also replaced the front bearings on vehicle.days later the same noise is still there took it back and they said they tightened a bar on the front end.the next day same noise still exists but is now getting worse.with every bump i go overthe front end sounds like it is going to fall apart.i reached back out to the dealership and they say there is nothing else they can do.i also went to get a 2nd opinion and same thing nothing found. I'm scared that my wheel will eventually fall off and cause a severe accident.i need help
The oil cooler has cracked causing oil to leak while the vehicle is stationary causing nearing $800.00 to repair.
And now the cruise control does not work
(pab) i have 2 recalls on my 2014 dodge charger that are serious safety concerns.
The panels on the doors are warping away from the windows and the panels on each side of the shifting console are also warped out. It will create a safety issue when the door panels prevent the airbags from deploying or the consoles come off preventing a safe driver or the panels get under the legds or prevent the driver from safely reaching gas peddle.
On 9/21/2020, my car had and passed a state & emission inspection. My car was driven 200 miles from date of inspection to current date. When i started my car the "service awd, abs, and traction control lights came on in park."took it to the dealership on 10/26/2020, they said it was the wheel speed sensor and asked, if i might have hit a pothole or bumps on the road.i was in disbelief, because i only drive on smooth roads and my car is barely moved. I've purchased my car brand new on 9/19/2014 and six years later, my mileage is at 26,420. From numerous threads, posts and complaints, i'm seeing a concurrent problem with dodge vehicles in this manner. I strongly believe you should look deeply into this matter, because it's too common and costly. Car: 2014 dodge charge r/t awd.
Torque converter malfunction: the torque converter in the dodge awd rt model malfunctions and creates a groaning sound while the vehicle is accelerating on flat or low to steep road inclines.if unchecked it may lead to significant damage to the transmission and awd subsystem.since this torque component is not a regularly stocked item at most dodge dealerships, if the component fails the wait time for a replacement can been up to a few weeks. My dealership brown daub dodge, a 5 star dealership located in easton pa,said there were only two components available in the entire usa!
This car has 25,000 miles on it the battery saver light came on the next time i drove it this light was off and my check engine light came on and my oil pressure gauge was at 99 so i took it to the dealership they told me it was the oil pressure gauge of course my 3 year 36,000 warranty had expired so i had to pay out of pocket .
Last year i started to hear a banging sound from the rear of the car. Brought it to a mechanic (carmax) and was told to bring it to the dealer because they were unsure. So i brought it to the dealer and they said i had a nail in my tire so i went and got it fixed. The sound still happening i went back, this time they recommended changing the reinforcement tunnel. After that the sound was still there and they recommended changing the rear shocks, did that and sounds still there. They told me there is nothing visible that is wrong so everything is fine. If everything is fine why the sound. It has been a year and it is just annoying and scary to constantly hear that banging noise. It only happens at low speeds and it happens while driving forward and in reverse.
Went to pull out from my works parking lot and pushed gas pedal to speed up and the gas pedal went straight to the floor board and stayed there for roughly 4 to 5 seconds and the car just keep speeding up. I then pumped the gas pedal several times and there was a click and the pedal returned to it's normal position. This is the second time it's happened in 6 months
While driving home from work on the highway i noticed that the hood of my car shaking, so i pulled over to check whatwas wrongwith the hood.after checking there wasn't anything seemingly wrong and hood looked ok to me, so i pulledoff and preceded to drive again on to drive a few feet and my hood just few back hitting the windshield and bending the hood in a few places. As a result my hood won't close be cause of the hood and the latch is broken.
I bought the car brand new 2014 first problem burning smell then check engine light came on hydrolic module went out an had to be changed some how the brakes so called needed bleeded upon leaving the ralph sellers dealership service department the car brakes had to be pushed all the way to the floor just to stop making the car not safe to drive in addition to bringing it back it was placed under first recall p 90 missing days of work to reschedule to get it fixed the parts was never there i tried leaving the car to get fixed was sent to enterprise rental for a replacement car that i never got went back the car was diagnosed with the airbag recall i couldnt be without transportation i went to pick the car up an it drove worter than before i brought it in to be fixed on or about 1-22-2015 i had a wreck totaling the car due to the brackes going out an injuries due to the airbag system i was brought to the hospital an had to leave cause of poor services at the baton zrouge general hospital i have video an pictures from this accident that i was involved in........accident accured on interstate 10 headed west brfore the college drive exit in baton rouge louisiana..a three car wreck with one car fleeding the scene after hitting my car from behind.
Got 2014 car brand new in feb 2014. It has about 15k miles on it and in just over 2 years all 4 michelin pilot hx mxm4 tires have dry rot. Tire mechanic advised that michelin is prone to dry rot.this should be addressed with manufacturer.
The vehicle was parked and unoccupied at a car dealership when a fire started in the interior cab. The whole interior of the vehicle is severly damaged. The vehicle is at amtx services inc.
I was told that i had the alternator fixed on recall and this is not true. I had the alternator fixed 1 year ago for $600 and it is now messing up again. I know this is a manufacturing issue and im not sure why it has me coded in the system as if i already had that recall taken care of. Please advise.
The door panels have become unglued very significantly
Safety auto park function is still sticking even after the recall replacement- the dealer says the only do follow up repairs on recalls 2 years after the replacement. I understand the timeframe is 10 years not 2 but they will not honor
My 2014 dodge charger which has 55000 miles started to have issues with the back up camera , about 3 months ago it would start flickering when in reverse and sometimes have scratch out type screen. And when it would work the camera was somehow in reverse . So backing out of my driveway i seen a car in the camera on the left but luckily when i turned around i realized it was on the opposite side .
Recently my back up camera stopped working. (71,000miles) it would work then it wouldn't. It has been on and off for about a week now but recently i went to back up looking at my camera which i never depend on totally except for the blind spots.as i was backing out i noticed on the camera a person so i made sure to turn a bit in the other direction but as i looked behind me i did not see this person to the left but me but they were to the right of me.the camera has some how reversed the images.i was a bit confused until i was in my own driveway getting ready to back out and noticed my house on the wrong sideof the camera.if almost running over a pedestrian is not a safety issue then i do not know what is!!! this could be an issue if someone does not realize it has happened and does not look behind them.
I've had 3 crashes because of the electronic gear shifter.crash #1) i pulled over to use my phone i put the car in park only to heard a thump. I hit the benz in front of me damaging both my car and the mercedes benz.crash #2 i backed into a parking space put the car in park and went to the trunk to get some bottled water if i had jumped out of the way i would have been pinned against a brick wall.crashed #3) the car ran into a fence after i put it in park and got out. Causing further damage to the front bumper. It's just a matter of time before someone get seriously hurt or killed because of this weird gear shifter. Because the stick jums back to the center you never know what gear you're in.
Car still rolling after complicated efforts to exit in and out of vehicle as the car is still in gear it keeps on rolling.it takes tremendous effort and concentration of the possibility of danger whenever exiting in and out of my car. This is pretty scary.
Safety auto park function is still sticking even after the recall replacement- the dealer says the only do follow up repairs on recalls 2 years after the replacement. I understand the timeframe is 10 years not 2 but they will not honor

I recently purchased a new dodge charger which is equipped with the adaptive cruise control accessory.the operation of this control is a safety problem as follows:for example, i set the speed for 55 mph on the highway which cruises the automobile at this speed.i then arrive at a 65 mph limit stretch of road and so i accelerate by pressing the res/+control to accelerate the vehicle to 65 mph.with all previous cruise controls, when i stop pressing this control at 65 mph, the speed stabilizes.with this acc, it continues to accelerate like a rocket until i cancel, turn off the cruise control or hit the brakes.the reverse also applies if i wish to slow down, removing the pressure on the set/-does nothing and the vehicle still continues to slow down. It is possible to switch from the acc to normal cruise control, but this problem is still apparent.i am now almost familiar with this problem and can act accordingly, but my wife drives the vehicle occasional and she has problems because her own vehicle does not operate in a similar manner to this cruise control.i am sure that other occasional drivers find this problematic, and it appears to be an accident waiting to happen if it hasn't already.i have taken this to the dealer several times over the last six months, and they contacted chrysler.initially, chrysler asked for the control hardware be shipped to them for analysis.this was done by the dealer but chrysler informed us they could not find a problem.with my latest visit i was informed that it is supposed to operate in this fashion, but the handbook does not mention any of these control issues.
While driving, i conducted a normal pass on a two lane road. When i pressed the acceleration pedal, the car took off at a dramatic pace. The car continued to accelerate well over 100 mph. Dragging the brake kept the car from continuing to accelerate to its full capacity. Shifting in neutral had no effect as the engine maintained its full rpm. While in neutral, the car's computer would not allow the engine to be shut off displaying a message that the car had to be in park before that was allowed to happen. Placed the car in neutral, applied full braking, and brought the car to a standstill as the engine continued to run at full rpm. Shifted to park and turned the car off. I let it sit for 10 minutes and started it again. Car performed normal. Dodge has a known issue/recall for the same situation when using cruise control and i believe the issue is present while not using cruise control as well. Less than a month ago, the car was serviced at the local dodge dealer under the recall to correct the cruise control issue. *dsy

I had a small air leak in the rear driver side tire.i took it to get the tire repaired, and they informed me that the wheel was actually cracked.i took the car to get the rim repaired, and it was maintaining pressure.i did not check the other wheels, as they were maintaining pressure.approximately 2 weeks later, i was involved in a car accident while driving down a local highway (approximately 55 mph), where the car started shaking, and i lost control of the vehicle.i believe that the front passenger rim was cracked as well, which led to wheel failure and a blowout.ultimately, i ended up in a concrete wall and the car was totaled.
