My airbag light has came on all of a sudden. My car is 4 years old. I do not think this is normal.

I was sideswiped on i-75. I was going around 75mph.i went head on into a guardrail, and the set belts didn't lockand the airbags did not deploy. The car had less then 3,500 miles on it. I had owned it less than a month. My car was completely totaled. This was june and myneck is still hurting and burning.

I was traveling to work on a busy, 3-lane road. I was in the far-right lane sitting at a red light, waiting to continue straight. When the light turned green, my car just shut off and the display informed me to put my car in p (park) and then back into the desired gear. I put my flashers on and coasted into the closest parking lot of the right side of the road, where i turned my car off and then started it back up again. After restarting the car, there seemed to be no further problems. This was an extremely scary situation for me and i was thankful to be in the far right lane when it happened, thankful i was at a complete stop when it happened, and thankful nobody was injured. This is a serious problem that dodge needs to address and get fixed. A recall needs to be placed for the safety of those on the roads.

The windows in my 2015 challenger is going up and down by themselves, gets stuck, and then won't go back up. Also the engine coils in my car burnt out and was leaking oil all through my car. When i got it fixed, the old coils were from the manufacture and had a broken seal. Was told that my car should've caught on fire with the amount of oil that was leaking.

Complete and sudden loss of both headlights when driving at night.dealer, in discussion with fca hq, suggests cause is related to front turn signal electronics associated with a single front turn indicator, which otherwise functions normally. At this time dodge has no replacement parts available and the car is deemed unsafe to drive by the dealership.owner has contacted fca to make them aware of total unwarned headlight loss - which is intermittant - as a safety issue.lights otherwise still work and come back on by themselves after several seconds, suggesting problem with body control unit function or failsafe design

The fuses thatrun to both my left and right headlights keep getting burnt out .they burnt out when i turned the car on .

I purchased my vehicle new as a 2015.the hvac blower motor has gone out so quickly and is rattling.it has been about two days when it started out of nowhere and as of today, the blower is not blowing anything out.it should last for 10-20+ years.my wife had the same issue with her bmw and it burned out and black smoke came out the vents.the wires were scorched. This is a safety issue due to fires.i have done research and vehicles have caught fire because of this problem in vehicles.please advise and thank you. When driving and trying to accelerate the car does not go at all. It's like it's the gear is stuck. Also when sitting at a red light the car rpm is accelerating by itself.the car has jumped from the 1st gear to 4th gear without little acceleration.car has been taking numerous times to dealership since purchased it in 2-2015 the only thing the dealership will do it relearn on the transmission and it works fine for month and then i'm back again. Also my radio in the car has went out and been replaced once. Since the replacement the radio still goes black at times and the ac won't work when this happens. Unable to see speed at zero, gauges aren't working.

My uconnect screen has went black and sport button deactivated. Passenger seat not clicking in place.

Both my 2015 challengers have the same dash lights on traction control, abs, and brake light. Happened with vehicle with vin [xxx] first and beginning of that year and around may same lights came on in my other 2015 challenger and then battery light started to go on and off then finally just stayed on so i changed battery and nothing changed but power is being used somewhere and voltage stays around 13.0 and some other issues with gps and compass ill be heading straight north and it will just keep changing north south east west and my gps will show my car glitching back and forth on screen haven't been able to get either car to dealer cause don't have a spare car at the moment.

While operating normally, approximately 35-65 mph both highway and county roads, on the way to work, the service abs & stability control system warning lights came in, steering and braking were affected. Brake system started pulsing and steering system vibrated. 20 seconds later, went away. On the way home, it repeated this 4x within 35 miles of travel. Went to dealership the next day for issue. They claimed it to be a faulty wheel speed sensor. Replaced sensor. 49,575 miles at time of service. A $42 part ended up costing $310 to get fixed. This is a dangerous thing to happen to fairly new car. Car has never seen snow or salt. Garage kept in winter months. This affected the braking and steering systems. 2 of the most important systems on a vehicle in order to operate safely on the road. I am the 3rd person i know of who's had this same issue with the same year dodge. This should be a factory recall on all the sensors for these systems to be replaced.

Electrical short in dash on passenger side leading to fire and a complete loss of vehicle.vehicle was in motion when smoke was noted in the cabin. Within 40 seconds car was pulled off the road and 911 called.vehicle loss was on 7-15-2019.

The vehicle had a recall about the the pcm so i took it to a local dealer to have it repaired and after i felt as if nothing were done to fix my car so i took it to another dealer about an hour and a half away and when i got my car back the check engine light was on and the guy didn't know what he was talking about giving false information about my car and tells me i need a new transmission so even then i still know nothing was done to fix my car my pcm is getting worse and now affecting. My transmission control unit shifting. The car won't go into first gear and when going into 5th gear it kicks and whiplashes me.

The car was parked and not on.when the key fob was hit to unlock the car the panel between the windshield and passenger door caught on fire. This also caused the sunroof to jar open.

Driving home in rain and got off highway service ramp. As soon as i turned right the car died. It said my key fob battery was low and would not restart. My son brought up my other key fob and it still would not start. No warning whatsoever came on stating anything was wrong. Could not get car in neutral even after releasing the shift inner lock. It had to be towed to my house.

4 july 2017, while driving at highway speeds, vehicle fault indicators showing problem with stability control system, abs system, and disabled cruise control.faults cleared approximately 30 seconds later.5 july 2017, vehicle again displayed same faults, however, faults remained latched (did not self clear).i contacted local dealership for service, fault was diagnosed on 6 july 2017 as a failed right front wheel speed sensor.service department placed needed part on order, returned keys to me and arrangements were made to bring vehicle back to dealership for repair on 7 july 2017.while continuing on to place of work, faults returned, then cleared.at the end of day, 6 july, was approaching a stop sign at normal approach speeds and applied brakes.front brakes initially operated as normal, then within a second or so, lost brake pressure...i felt the abs system release the brakes, causing me to exert enormous pressure on the brake pedal within a few feet of the stop sign to get the vehicle stopped from only a few mph.oncoming traffic was 55 mph. After the vehicle stopped (barely)..then the same faults appeared.from my point of view, the intermittent wheel speed sensor caused the front abs system to activate on a dry road, essentially disabling my front brakes while in the process of braking.this is not an expected failure mode. I understand onboard diagnostics indicating the problems above, however, it appears that if this problem takes place while braking, brake performance is compromised.this is now the second wheel speed sensor to be replaced in the last 6 months or so.from my perspective, that means that this is a high failure rate item (last one was on the right rear wheel), and if it happens while braking...i essentially lose braking at the precise moment brakes are needed.i consider this a design issue. Redundant sensors recommended for abs.

Thestability control icon comes on, sometimes it goes away. Recently it has stayed on for couple of days. I took it to the dealer and it went away . The dealer said if there is no lights on display they can't service the issue.

The brake antilock wheel speed sensors on the front wheels locked into skid mode and my car would not go over 4 miles an hour.when i left the dealership and pulled out on to the main road i could not go over 4 miles an hour. I was almost rear ended since the speed limit on the road was 40 mph.i was told the sensors were bad and needed to be replaced. When i limped the car back into the dealership, they told me that they could not get the car out of that mode until they replaced the sensors. The car only has 7200 miles on it.

I brought a brand new 2015 dodge challenger and 8 months later my vehicle started to decelerate as i hit the gas which is extremely dangerous and i went to have it checked out and they said it was a problem with my electronic throttle body was messing up and could be life threatening while driving i contacted dodge and they told me it has a 3 year 30,000 mile warranty and i don't understand how on a new car and such important thing only have a 30,000 miles warranty i only had the car for 8 months when i purchased in april of last year it had a clean carfax report but now at 45,000 miles it's having these safety problems.

At less than 70k miles, with full periodic servicing done by dodge dealer (moss bros, san bernardino, ca) all 12 engine rocker arm mounts failed and had to be replaced at a cost of $1,600.this is a common problem in a 3.6l pentastar v-6 engine, per internet owner reports on dodge internet groups.not caused by normal wear and tear, shouldn't be happening at 60-70k miles.

On september 30th, i drove home from work which is a 22 mile commute. I arrived at home at approx 8pm and parked my car in the garage. At about 8:40 i heard a loud boom but was unsure where it came from. About 10 or 15 minutes later i heard the fire trucks and a neighbor banging on my door. Black smoke was coming through the locked garage door. The fireman unlocked and opened the door, the engine and structure was on fire. It took about 20 minutes to put it out.

2 issues here. Recalls are for ub4 evaporative emissions canister and v86 catalytic converter.beentrying to schedule this for 8 months. Fca and dodge have a supply issue. Cannot get parts. Imo this is a massive failure. How are we supposed to comply if the company cannot issue parts? it is beyond ridiculous.

The contact had to open the windows because the odor impacted the contact's breathing. The dealer was notified several times, but was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The contact waited for months to determine if the manufacturer could provide a remedy. The failure mileage was not available. Updated 03/01/17*lj

I own a 2015 dodge challenger.while driving various speeds the vehicle will randomly stall and display "come to a complete stop and select the appropriate gear." this has happened 10-15 times. I have taken the vehicle to a dodge dealership 3 times. On the second visit they replaced the transmission and valve body. I left the dealership and was only 4 blocks away and the vehicle stalled and displayed the same error. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and they say they cannot duplicate what is happening, so they don't know how to troubleshoot the problem. This started happening at approximately 16,000 miles.

2015 dodge challenger rt scat pack faulty oil sensor. Was reported in earlier model challenger from 2014-2015. This is on the 392 srt motor cause oil pressure to drop suddenly while in motion.

The motor was making a groaning noise, it was taken to the dealership for diagnosis. The dealer claimed the water pump was defective but the car was still able to be driven. The dealer reported a back order on the replacement part and allowed me to take the car and continue driving until the part came in. Within 200 miles, the motor developed a squeaking noise and the engine would surge uncontrollably. The car was returned to the dealer. The dealer determined the squealing and surging as the water pump had failed and the car was determined not safe to drive. The part has been on back order in excess of one month.

Issue #1 vehicle loses all power while stationary on a city street with no indication or warning. This has happened twice while waiting to enter the intersection. The car turns off completely and says to place car in park.issue #2 this issue always occurs while accelerating from a stationary state; vehicle jumps with little pressure on gas, then power dips down, then back up over and over. The car resembles a bucking rodeo horse when this happens. It has happened several times while making a left hand turn across oncoming traffic and is a safety issue in that a power dip in the middle of an intersection inhibits the cars ability to clear an intersection safely.

Cylinder 2 misfire culminated in a diagnoses of a chewed camshaft.known but unacknowledged issue with poor lubrication to the lifters -- owner normally forced to pay for camshaft and lifter replacement.

I was on i-75 in tennessee. I sideswiped a car and my car wenthead first into a guardrail. I was doing about 70mph. I hitmy head hard on stearing wheel and have suffered a headache and neck pain since

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. While driving various speeds from a completed stop, the vehicle stalled. A message appeared on the instrument panel to come to a complete stop and to select the appropriate gear. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated on two separate occasions. The contact stated that the failure occurred five times and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer gave the contact a data recorder to record issues in the vehicle. The dealer determined that the failure occurred due to a fuel pump. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated there was video documentation of the failures. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 300.

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. While driving approximately 40 mph, the check electronic throttle warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The contact had to maneuver to the side of the road. The vehicle was able to be restarted normally after approximately two minutes. The failure recurred three times the same night. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure. The contact was advised by the the dealer that there was nothing to be repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was invalid. The approximate failure mileage was 10,700.

I purchased a used 2015 dodge challenger scat pack with 6800 miles.the radiator started leaking at 7100 miles.i found the leak after highway driving.a puddle formed under the passenger front corner of the car.the dealer will not replace it since the oem warranty is expired.there are quite a few other owners with the same issue.i believe a recall is necessary and a possible revamping of the radiator so this does not happen to future owners.

My 2015 dodge challenger scat pack has developed a radiator leak that seems to lose coolant when driving. I had first noticed the coolant level dropping back in december, 2017 while my car was in storage. It was brought into fields dodge who diagnosed the leak but could not tell me where exactly the leak was coming from.i called dodge customer service and they refused to offer anything on resolving this issue even though my warranty expired 3 days ago on march 12th, 2018. They do have a technical service bulletin regarding radiator leak problems but they are not doing anything about it, even for customers who have low mileage but expired warranty. The dealership service manager mentioned the leak may be coming from a seam between the plastic and aluminum.the radiator is of inferior quality and there are numerous others on challenger forums who have mentioned radiator problems on their challengers.

I purchased a 2015 challenger, upon driving the vehicle home noticed the axles making a noise. A week later the noise becomes worse i alert the dealership and bring the car in. They tell me that it's covered under warranty and they promise that when i finalize financing the will fix it. Upon finalizing financing the car fails inspection and the warranty is removed due to the preexisting issues with the car. Thus resulting repair cost coming out my pocket for a car i hadn't had a week. Next i run into a issue the with engine. I take it to get a diagnostic and the technician shows me the history of the car stating that it had a replacement engine installed in the past. The dealer never mentioned the repairs to me before finalizing the deal once so ever. Now i brought it to their attention and they're telling me that i can trade it in but there's nothing they can do. The dealership is rick hendricks chevrolet in duluth georgia, 3277 satellite blvd.the dealership goes up and beyond to avoid me, even while the car was in their possession for repairs for weeks. They never fixed anything in the car. I have video proof of them messing up the car and just leaving it for me to deal with. I also have voice recorded conversations with sales associate managers at the dealership who lied to me and my father in our faces about certain information regarding the deal.

Passenger headlight doesn't always come on. Fuse, bulb & wiring has been inspected& is working. Sometimes the headlight works & sometimes it doesn't. Being that is doesn't give any error codes when the dealership connects to the vehicle, they can't fix it or have a clue to where to start to investigate.its happens often doesn't matter if the vehicle is stationary or in motion. There are many forums about this exact same issue all over the internet with no real solution. It's dangerous to drive like this & its an unnecessary traffic ticket risk. When i contacted cooperate about this issue they were careless about the whole issue.

My headlight on the passenger side keeps going out while driving down the freeway.it's out for a few days and then it comes back on for a few days and again it's out. The dealership did a diagnostic test and stated that the headlight was good.

Low beam headlights continue to be a problem three years later. First driver low beam head light would intermittently work. I would take to dealer they would replace headlamp and low beam headlight would work for days/weeks. Continued to have issue finally dealer fixed issue by replacing ballast and lamp. Same problem occurred with passenger low beam headlight. I've repeatedly told dealer this is not my financial responsibility to pay for repairs. This is a recall issue and they need to bring to the attention of manufacturer. The vehicle is one big electrical disaster. The radio system has been replaced the entire ac has been replaced.

My cars temperature gauge flickers up and down while driving . I took it in once for repair but it still continues doing this . The car does this whenever the engine is on whether it's running or stationary . Also the right headlight has electric problems . It turns off and onwhenever it wants to. But it stays off more than it stays on .

The headlights on my 2015 dodge challengerare useless. I can barely see 5ft in front of my car with low and high beams on. I have tried buying new headlights 3x and nothing has helped. It is so hard to see the road once the sun goes down. I have been having this problem for quite a while now.

Turn signal problem. Turn signal blinks to fast occupanied by a chime that indicates a light outage. While driving, the light turns on automactically for short periods at a time. I almost ran of the road because i thought my lights were out. This happens everytime i start my vehicle and thie light chime comes on while driving as well. Please investigate this issue. There are multiple complaints online involving this issue.

The fuses thatrun to both my left and right headlights keep getting burnt out .they burnt out when i turned the car on .

2015 challenger, wheel speed sensor failures starting at year two. Have replaced wheel speed sensors on 5 separate occasions. It has affected all wheel speed sensors and fron passenger replaced twice. All replacement parts are from dealer and are geniuine mopar replacements. Seems to be a very common issue, the parts are typically on backorder and it can be caused simply by going through a car wash.

Car shut off while driving on the highway at 70 mph.was able to restart and then it shut off again and wouldn't start, the shop says it is the fuel power control module, $1,500 part requiring complete rewiring for a total repair cost of $2,200 and still waiting for repair completion after almost 2 weeks. I am not sure that this will repair the problem...

This is my third complaint to safercar.gov to update the public on my 2015 dodge challenger nightmare. I have new and important information. 1: executive dodge told me it was the valve body of the transmission that was the issue and was looking forward to fixing it for me on 05 15 2015. This is a friday. On that monday they consult with the nameless faceless star team and they tell executive dodge's licensed on site mechanics that my transmission had normal operation. Executive dodge refuses to work on the car.2: i call another dealership and the valve body and installation total $1,500.00 for a 2015 dodge challenger valve body, installed. 3:i feel that once executive dodge diagnosed the vehicle to be faulty they had a duty under the law to fix it regardless of what dodge stated. They should of stood up for me--. Because i bought the car there and there are other issues with the same car same model same year on this web site.4: dodge has offered me a $400.00 payment [one car payment] as an apology for my inconvenience. 5: this web site has failed to update the number of complaints listed against this car. I have made at least 3 and there is at least one other for the same issue. 6: how long can this transmission shuttering and lag and bucking occur before the transmission breaks altogether?

There has been a r07 recall on the fuel rail on my challenger hellcat for months.. Says its undetectable and must be completed.. Says it may leak at any time and could catch fire.my service dealer cannot get me the part.. They claim its a non orderable part .. Its a auto replenish.the dealer where i purchased several hundred miles away has a part but will not send or sell it to my service dealer because they wont get a replacement sent unless they use it.. Its been several months now and ive put 5000 more miles on my car.. Every time i get in i wonder if it will catch fire this time...every time i get behind someone whos car is running rich i think my car is leaking raw fuel and pull over to check.. A potentially dangerous situation.srt is no help in getting me my part. I now carry a fire extinguisher with me at all times.

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, the clutch failed to operate as designed causing the vehicle to stall without warning. Due to the failure, the contact towed the vehicle to key auto mall (3700 16th st, moline, il 61265) where they vehicle was diagnosed with a defective pressure plate inside of the clutch assembly. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer and had yet to be repaired. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 26,000. The vin was unavailable.

The right shifter paddle on the steering wheel will intermittently downshift several gears instead of upshifting when the paddle is pressed.the system will also downshift unexpectedly when the right paddle shifter is held down to change over to the automatic drive system.this has been occurring since i started using the paddle shifters around 30,000 miles on the vehicle.the unexpected downshifting consistently slams the vehicle to almost a stop, abruptly forcing any occupants in the vehicle into the seatbelts.there have been many occasions where vehicles have almost hit my vehicle because the car shifts down several gears at once and slows suddenly without brake lights.the vehicle has also slid in wet conditions when it has occurred.due to safety concerns, i have not been able to operate the paddle shifters at high speed in fear of my own safety and the safety of others.if the vehicle was to downshift several gears at speed in wet conditions, the vehicle would likely slide out of control.additionally, the hard shifting is likely causing premature wear and tear on the transmission, drive components and tires.the vehicle has now been in the shop for this issue 8 times with no permanent fix.there are many articles and forum reports addressing this issue with dodge challenger vehicles, but dodge refuses to acknowledge the forums and claims they only address issues separately with each customer.this issue has left me without my vehicle for months at a time and is a constant safety hazard if the paddle shifters are operated.this issue is a major safety hazard to the occupants and other drivers since downshifting 2-3 gears at once can be the same as slamming on the brakes, especially in wet conditions.here is an article that pertains to this issue:https://www.hotcars.com/charger-challenger-defect-paddle-shifters/thanks for your help!

The dealership has just made sure the radio was update to the latest version and the problem still happens. The door handle have been replaced numerous times due to an electrical issue.

Very hard shift from 4th gear to 5th and also when i put it in drive from park it takes a while for the gear to kick in. Because of this my car is running at a high coolant temp. I will be driving normally and when 4th gear switches to 5th gear the car revs up and kicks forward i almost hit the car in front of me it is unsafe.

Car makes clunk noise when the 8 speed automatic gears down or up. I taken it to the dealership twice and they can't determine what is wrong. I'm afraid that warranty will run out before anything is done by fiat.chrysler.

The vehicle looses all acceleration when coming from a complete stop.the d on the gearshift flashes red and digital readout on the dashboard instructs driver to come to a complete stop and place vehicle in park and then shift to drive.this means that while in the middle of traffic or an intersection you must come to a complete stop and place the vehicle in park and then shift to drive.i have provided dodge with two videos of this happening and they still cannot fix the vehicle.

Immediately after purchasing vehicle, very harsh downshifts and upshifts have been noticed with the vehicle's 8 speed automatic transmission especially under light acceleration and declaration at speeds lower than 40mph . Dealership has attempted software reset several times with no effect. Upon 4th visit to dealership for same issue, service tech has identified the problem and confirmed that the 8 speed transmission is not functioning in the same appropriate way and shifting is "severe" . Problem identified by dealer is the valve body , however chrysler has denied replacement of the part instead asking that the car be driven for an additional three thousand miles, before any repair is considered , essentially breaking the terms of the warranty by asking a car with a bad transmission to be driven for thousands of miles.dealership confirmed problem exists , however their hands currently tied by corporate.

After driving the car for several miles, my wife pulled into a shopping center from the right lane of traffic when the car's transmission seemed to just shut off. The dash display informed her to put the shift lever into park and then select the disire gear. Luckly there were no cars directly behind her when the car came to a stop. Shei selected 'park' and then 'drive' which seemed to resolve the issue after this unwarrented and scarry insident. The car has 13816 miles and is still under warenty. She has made a dealer appointment, but was told they have no prior knowledge of such events making it unclear if the dealer will be able to resolve such incident.

My cars temperature gauge flickers up and down while driving . I took it in once for repair but it still continues doing this . The car does this whenever the engine is on whether it's running or stationary . Also the right headlight has electric problems . It turns off and onwhenever it wants to. But it stays off more than it stays on .

While driving down the road the rear differential internally exploded , losing control of the vehicle luckily i didn't hit anything. It's been at the dealer for over a week and i can't get a hold of anyone.going 60mph and a loud bang.got pulled over and looked under car. Differential pump housing was split in two with no signs of any external damage.still at the dealer. ...updated 06/13/17...updated 08/29/17 ....updated 06/21/17 the consumer stated after the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The consumer was provided a rental vehicle. Updated 08/03/2017

Rear end has gone out twice and again is howling.when using paddle shifters the right side is to upshift, it often downshifts instead.dodge has changed out paddle shifters 3 seperate occasions but issue continues.its an abrupt downshift while in motion trying to upshift.this is a continuous issue that happens often

Own a 2015 dodge challenger r/t with 8-speed automatic transmission. When decelerating to brake to a stop and car auto shifts down from gear 2 to gear 1, the car jerks forward a bit and i hear a light popping noise coming from rear underneath trunk area. It happens when car is decelerating down in the 15 mph to 0 mph range. Only noticed this happening when decelerating. This was noticeable within first 2 weeks of buying car brand new. Took the car to dodge dealer. Dealer applied a transmission firmware update. This did reduce the forward jerking push motion, but there is still a slight forward jolt and the knock/popping noise is still present.

Carrier bearing/driveshaft needs replacement after 49000 miles. Knocking vibrating noise coming from driveshaft when driving.

The transmission has very harsh downshifts when lightly braking or coasting to a stop. The transmission stays engaged and bogs down the car, then frees up suddenly, causing the vehicle to lunge forward. There is an audible clunk from the rear end when this happens. On several occasions it's almost led to fender benders with the cars in front of me.

This is another complaint and follow up to my previous complaint on this web site. I have also made a complaint to the state of connecticut attorney general's office whom has involved the consumer protection agency. Executive dodge of wallingford ct diagnosed this vehicle after having it for 2 weeks and driving it over 75 miles. I also went for a test ride with their certified mechanic. The mechanic told me the car refused to go into 8th gear while in automatic mode--non paddle shift mode and he would keep it over the next few days to replace the valve body. The next day the dodge star case team--nameless faceless people in detroit--told the certified on site mechanic that this issue and the transmission bucking in between gears was normal for this transmission. Dodge customer care has called me to apologize and is currently offering me 1 month's payment on the car to chrysler capital as a "sorry" for my inconvenience. The government--nhtsa has not gotten back to me despite numerous complaints about this car on safercar.gov for the same issue. I guess someone has to die before they launch an investigation--just like all those deaths at gm, toyota, and those ford explorer tires years ago. No one cares. The car will not shift properly--it bucks in between gears and will not go into 8th gear and has shifting lab and shuttering in between gears--. So much for safer cars on the highway. At $400.00 a month for a car payment you would think dodge would make a quality product. I'm done--last dodge i will ever buy. Better off with a mustang. .

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, the vehicle jerked when shifting gears. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,000.

The center support carrier bearing for the driveshaft has failed, causing the driveshaft to drop, rub the heat shield causing a bad noise, the rear end is swaying, and there are mobility issues.i know of other people that have the same problem. You cannot replace the center bearing.you have to purchase the whole driveshaft/driveline, which becomes an even bigger problem when they are on national backorder! my challenger has less than 98,000 miles. I have no other vehicle.this is a widespread problem.the whole part costs over $1100.

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. While driving 15 mph, the contact crashed into a ditch and the seat belt failed to release the contact. The contact sustained burn injuries to the left arm, but did not require medical attention. A police report was filed. The contact was able to resume driving. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,432.

Passenger seat does slides back / forward - does not lock in position.the movement of the seat would be very unsafe in a collision or accident.the passenger seat became stiff to slide and rollers fell out.now, the seat moves freely front to back with accel / decel.in additiona, when the seat is moved up / forward to allow a passenger to enter the backseat, it will not push back down in position without manually releasing a cable under the seat. There has been some kind of failure in the seat leading to an unsafe condition. When trying to figure out what went wrong and what fixes are out there, it became clear many others have had the same issue.

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. The contact stated that while driving at 30 mph, when the brake pedal was depressed, the passenger front seat slid forward. Tri lakes motors dealer of branson, missouri was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle was out of warranty. The dealer recommended that the front passenger seat track be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

The passenger seat does not lock into place. The seat slides freely along the floor while driving.

My uconnect screen has went black and sport button deactivated. Passenger seat not clicking in place.

Car is a manual transmission. Multiple occurrences-when emergency break is setand the engine is off and in park the car will still roll by itself. Complained to dodge, dodge says software issue and it will not happen again. Still happening, i am lucky it did not hit a car but today (2/22/18) it hit a tree- rolled 2 feet back. There is a recall out there for the 2017 model but i really feelmultiple years are effected. Actual car is a scat pack. When i looked on line several people out there with a challenger are having this issue, also with a manual transmission. Now i have to pay for the body work but i feel dodge should be liable.

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. While driving approximately 35 mph, the steering wheel seized and caused the contact to crash into a curb. The vehicle was towed to the dealer on several occasions where it was repaired, but the repaired parts were unknown. When the contact retrieved the vehicle, the failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer. In addition, the brakes failed to respond. The contact mentioned that the vehicle could no longer be driven due to the failure becoming worse. The approximate failure mileage was 13,000.

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. While driving approximately 25 mph, the anti-lock brake system and electrical stabilizer control warning indicators illuminated. The check engine indicator flashed several times. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (universal chrysler/dodge in rome, georgia) the following day for diagnostic testing. The dealer diagnosed that the anti-lock brake system sensor was damaged and needed replacement. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000.updated 08/22/17*lj

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. While driving, the steering wheel seized without warning. The contact quickly activated the hazard lights and shut the vehicle off and back on to reset the computer. The vehicle was taken to south chicago dodge chrysler jeep (7340 s western ave, chicago, il 60636, (773) 476-7800) where it was diagnosed that the steering column needed to be replaced. The dealer indicated that there was no warranty or recall for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin and failure mileage were not available.

Electric assist steering gear, rack lost the electric assist. Electric assist failed, stopped working while driving. The electric assist motor adds the "power assistance" to the steering making it easy to turn the steering . Failure of the electric assist makes the steering dramatically difficult to turn the steering even the slightest. It is nearly impossible to control the car or even provide any steering input that changes the direction of the wheels in any meaningful or purposeful way. Frankly lucky that i have driven a manual, non power steering vehicle, in the past and instantly recognized the power steering assist failed, lucky to have not crashed as it was almost impossible to get the car off the road as steering is even more difficult, nearly impossible, to manipulate than a traditional non-power assist steering rack. Car was in motion on rural back road.

The steering column starting making a low pitched whining sound for the past 4 months.the car was stopped and parked and the warning came on about the servicing the power steering and now the car has no power steering.codes: u11e8-00- & u0001-00- and the car is now 1500 miles beyond the warranty.we are going to push to the get this fixed under warranty but at 37k miles this shouldn't happen, and after researching online this apparently is a common problem with the power steering module located on the the rack and pinon and the whole thing will have to be replaced.this should definitely be a recall as this is a major safety hazard.

Dash board has been replaced vin states it is a sxt, it was sold to me as a shaker rt, pop sound under r-front checked underneath and found several areas where it has been welded over the entire bottom side. The exhaust has been cut off and re-attached leaking very bad.has flared up my asthma causing attack while driving, first time i stop at fire station for breathing treatment, next two times drove to er. The car has been illegally altered and should never been sold to me as a brand new car . I have pictures to send in showing the dangerous situation to me and all drivers on the road . I will send pictures and a video of the bottom of entire car. I purchased car at a certified new car dealership, this is how they sold it to me < their greed is more important than the safety of others. .....

Water leaking in trunk where rear fuse and battery located. Been in service over 6 times trying to fix issue. Water is leaking onto fuse panal that hold varies types fusefor safety devices. They tell me all years leak but the worst year is 2015. I giving them one last chance to fix issue, than we going lemon law way. I have been dealing with this for 4 month now and need to out to public as this is safety issue with car, it could loose varies type of safety equipment or catch fire. It all over internet about the challneger leaking, but fca denies it and they do not have anything in star system they use to diagnose, the put double sided tape to bandaid the problem to get us go away from are buying dealer where we bought it ! also stereo sound really bad and they are willing deal with it . Has hardware issue and with head unit or bluetooth unit , it hard to understand when talking thru it.

Front end made a squalling sound when making tight right turns on the road and in parking lots.

Electrical short in dash on passenger side leading to fire and a complete loss of vehicle.vehicle was in motion when smoke was noted in the cabin. Within 40 seconds car was pulled off the road and 911 called.vehicle loss was on 7-15-2019.

While unloading items from the trunk of my 2015 dodge challenger, i had the misfortune of the trunk lid falling my head and almost knocking me out.the trunk will not stay up on its own (especially when parked on an incline).the weight of the trunk is too heavy for the struts that are designed for it.this is not the first time the struts have failed on the trunk of this vehicle and have been replaced by a dodge oem dealer (approx 2 years ago). I feel like this could be a safety issue for other dodge owners in the future.

Service shifter on dash on start of vehicle, came to a stop to park andlights on shifter go out.

The car has been in and out of the dealership for almost a week over the last two weeks and the recall has not been fixed and the dealership has been uncooperative about the repairs.

While driving home on the washington capiltal beltway with my sunroof fully retracted it was a loud boom and exploded. There were small pieces of glass on me and my seat as well as glass all within the inside portion of my car.

New 2015 dodge challenger purchased with 67 miles on it. Vehicle experienced "stuck" rpm's at 23 and 51 mph. Hard shifts. Hard transitions. Shuttering in the transmission. Inability to shift out of 3500 rpm while accelerating onto the highway. I was at a dead stop attempting to get into the highway lane [no onramp area to merge] and the car only went to 51 mph and would not accelerate any more. The transmission stayed at 3500 rpm. I had a passenger take a video of the issue with my camera phone to show the dealership the issue. Rally mode is even worse.another car on safercar.gov has the same issue, same model, same year. I have not even made my first payment on it to chrysler capital. I have an open "star" case with dodge customer care and i have gone through two case managers already. The case manager as of today told me, that they are going to tell the dealer to drop the transmission and check the valve body for excess wear or other issues. The car has been at the dealer 3 times in the the 4 weeks i have assumed control/leased the car. This last time will make 9 days at the dealer. There is a systemic issue with these vehicles. Side note.mid dash vent clicks--refuses to close. Another dealership ordered the part for that--electrical issues all around with the 2015 dodge challenger sxt.

Unable to see speed at zero, gauges aren't working.

While driving home on the washington capiltal beltway with my sunroof fully retracted it was a loud boom and exploded. There were small pieces of glass on me and my seat as well as glass all within the inside portion of my car.

After first service and flash update an error message came up stating service rain sensing wipers.i had no function of the four sensitivity settings just low and high.the dealer said rain sensing wiper module was faulty.it was replaced and message went away.the first rain a couple of weeks later they stopped in the middle of the windshield.i was in the middle of a five lane hwy at 9:30 at night for aprox 15 minutes.returned it back to the dealer and after five weeks they said my car was not equipped with rain sensing wipers.but it had them when i purchased the car. Sinse may 2015 my wipers work when they want too.my car has spent 40+ weeks at dealer with no repair. They will come on by themselves or just toggle and stop.this is very dangerous at night while raining.i have video that i have shown several dealers. There are several other issues since i was told it wasn't equipped with rain sensing wipers.i have numerous receipts for this problem if needed. The video of the issues are on my phone and i don't know how to transfer them.

Two of the vehicles wheels have started to stress crack on the inner wheel lip causing air to leak, as seen in the pictures the wheels have no damage to cause the wheels to crack and this problem has been reported on the internet by other 2015 dodge challenger owners with the factory oem wheels stamped mopar lightweight on the outside face. The wheels were taken to the selling dealer for warranty, they agree that the wheels are defective, but fca has refused to replace them under warranty, the vehicle is 26 months old and has 25k miles on it. The wheels cracking in this way can cause a catastrophic wheels failure resulting in a vehicle crash and or injury.

The contact owns a 2015 dodge challenger. While attempting to remove the rear passenger side tire, the oem lug wrench did not fit correctly into the lug holes. As a result, the contact was unable to remove the wheel. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that they could not provide instructions for removing a tire. The failure mileage was unknown.
