Bought the car used a year ago.it has 57,578 miles on speedometer.driver side sliding door locked shut, will not open from inside, outside or remotely.just drove in driveway and parked and it will not open.five minutes before it opened and closed fine as we had been shopping.

In two different occasions the lock actuators what bad on both rear sliding doors for the passengers side and drivers side. This is a costly problem to have and uncalled for on a reliable form of transportation. I have the understanding by talking to the maintenance manager that this is a problem for dodge minivans. This a dangerous situation for owners due to the fact that in the event of an accident you would not be able to get your love ones out on time. At the time of the actuators going bad the passengers had to get out through the other door or through the front exit. This is indeed costly problem.

Passenger rear sliding door is stuck in the unlock position.the door lock can not be moved electronically or manually.

We bought a 2016 dodge caravan and had a "remote" start installed through the dealership. The van would shut off when the remote start was used, sometimes. When it shut off in neutral, before i could even make it into the van, the electrical acted like it was disconnected from the battery, (the clock would be flashing, radio stations un-programmed, airbag light on.) the dealership had our van for 2 weeks (no rental), and they never could duplicate or fix the problem. We picked up our van and did not receive paperwork.@three months later, the van died again. But this time while in drive-at a complete stop, while at a drive thru bank atm. When it shut off, the electrical acted like it was disconnected from the battery, (the clock would be flashing, radio stations un-programmed, airbag light on-same as before) i took the van to the dealership. They estimated it would take 3 days to repair and gave me a rental.in less than one day they did a computer "update."on my way home from picking up the "repaired" van, it shut off again, this time in drive-at a complete stop, in a fast food drive thru. I took it back on the same day, and was given another rental. This was in october. (paperwork states: oct 11 and oct 13.)friday oct 13 i received a call from the dealership to bring back the rental. When i asked if my van was fixed i was told, 'no, but the dealership isn't going to pay for the car rental anymore.' the dealership opened a star case from corporate and were told to close the case, even though nothing was fixed. I returned the rental and picked up my van.oct 18, my van shut off again, while at a complete stop in reverse. I am waiting to hear back from the dealership, to see if they can fix this problem-again.

Back side door is locked and cannot be opened or unlocked neither manually or with fob or interior button, door is jammed shut

The driver side sliding donor's lock was stuck. The door wouldn't often with the key fob or manually unlocking. I pressed the fob several times trying to unlock the door. I tried manually unlocking the door again and it finally unlocked. My two and three year were in the car and i couldn't get them unbuckled from their car seats. Annoying as well as unsafe. The door now makes a buzzing/ rattling noise when i put the car in drive and the locks automatically lock.

Turn the key off and engine doesn't shut off. Needed to remove fuel pump fuse to stop engine

Takata recall dodge caravan sliding door actuator when parked the sliding doors can get stuck closed or open once they are stuck if stuck open that door wont lock, and if stuck closed you can not open the door and can not unlock. I currently have both issues.

Transmission fluid pump failed, resulting in transmission failure. Vehicle began to show signs of slippage, then became inoperable after being parked. This is my fourth dodge caravan to have this problem. Failures of the transmission pump all happened without warning at around 55,000 - 80,000 miles. The caravan also has noisy lifters which i have also replaced on 2 otherdodge vehicles.

The vehicle was built after the release of 16v222. The vehicle was driving down a street on los angeles with passengers on board lost power. Tried to restart a puddle of fuel was under the vehicle. Driver called for a tow. This vehicle and many others in my fleet were built after 16v222. I own a 2016 dodge caravan and the drivers side sliding door lock is stuck between the lock and unlock making the door unable to be opened. It was taken to the dealership and i was told the door lock or lack would need to be replaced and the repair would cost $900 (and due to mileage was not covered now by the warranty). The door is still unable to be used and causes a serious safety concern if in an accident due to inability to get out of the vehicle on that side. When the defect was identified the vehicle was parked and has been overnight. I attempted to use sliding door control on key fob which didn't work and so attempted to unlock door with key fob to open it manually and that didn't work either. I got inside the vehicle and attempted to unlock the door manually and that was unsuccessful. Additionally, sliding door control on front ceiling(allows driver to open and shut both sliding doors) attempted to be used and was also unsuccessful. This appears to be a problem that multiple dodge caravan owners are experiencing and needs to be addressed asap.

The passenger sliding door will not open. It appears to be an issue with the locking mechanism. One day we parked and locked the car to get ice cream and when we came back the door wouldn't unlock.

"takata recall" sliding door on drivers side won't unlock or open (not automatic open door, manually open) tried using the door unlock pad the key fob and the lock in the door and it still doesn't unlock or open. My 1 year old sits on that side and i am worried this is a very huge safety issue. If i were in an accident i would not be able to get to him quickly. My 3 year old sits on the other side and so now we have to climb in to unbuckle both children to get them out. This is dangerous if an accident were to happen. I've already replaced the other side when that agitator went out on it. My van has 32000 miles. Bought it new in 2016. Should not be having these safety issues. Please look into dodge and the reports that people have filed who have this same issue. It should be a recall and fixed. Thank you for your time.

2016 dodge caravan only 14000, mile. Driving approximately 40 to 45 miles per houron the highway.hood latch bolts ( only two ) came fully out ,allowing the hood to open , smashing into the wind shield , making it impossible to see ahead due to the hood blocking the view.

The driver's side passenger door is stuck in the locked position. The door will not open manually or electronically.

We have a 2016 dodge grand caravan that has been diagnosed by a mechanic to need a rear ac evaporator installed at a cost of over $1000.00. This is unacceptable as we were told it is a known mopar problem.as the head of household for a family of five, i don't know where to find this amount of money for the repair. This van was purchased to accommodate our 17 year old son with duchennes muscular dystrophy. He cannot ride in this vehicle with the amount of heat summer brings. We don't know what to do...

Drivers side rear sliding door remains locked and cannot be opened manually orelectronically.

The driver side sliding door will not unlock, causing concern for the safety of my family if in an accident. The lock will not move either manually or electrically/key fob. It worked just fine and suddenly stopped. I was parked in a driveway and used it as normal and drove about 5 miles and stopped to use the door again without any success.

The passenger side headrest popped forward after the plastic that holds the steel pin in place failed. I was just driving down the road when i heard a loud bang. There wasn't any rough road, bumps etc. After i stopped to inspect it, i noticed the broken plastic frame.

The sliding doors latches need to be replaced 2 years after i bought it the dealership says there is something wrong with them that they seem a lot of these why isn't there a recall on them

Drivers side sliding door wont unlock and wont open. Huge safety issue. *dtconsumer stated vehicle has been repaired.

Driver side rear door lock , want open.

Locks fail to disengage anddoorcannot be opened manually or electronically. My child had to climb out through the driver's side door in order to exit the van. This poses a danger during an emergency. Please advise dodge to recall lock actuators on caravan models. I researched and this seems to be a prevalent complaint among many dodger owners.
