All of my problems started about 30-45 days ago. I was drivin along at 65 mph and lights started lighting up on my das and then started flickering. Not long after that the dash would light up and the all of a sudden die and have no power at all. Everything stopped working, radio, clock, sppedometer, etc. Since then the van has been back to the dealership. The first diagnosis was a brake swith relay and they said that should fix it. Well the same problems occured a few more times with no common denominator as to why it was not running. I took it back to the chrysler dealer and they unplugged the tipm (total integrated power module). They said that cleared all codes and a reset fixes the problem some times. I picked it up the next and everything was for my trip to st. Louis and back. I got in the van later that evening and while driving down the driveway the engine shut off and the van lost all power. I almost too out my fence when this happened. I put it in park and the key wouldn't come out. After a little while the key came out anbd the van finally started. I called the tow truck and had it hauled directly to the dealer. After a few days the determined it was he tipm and the bill was app. $1000.00. I have a case opened with chrysler (case #: 31057897) with theresa. After googling the tipm i have discovered that this is a common problem with caravans, town & country's, dodge rams, durangos and some jeep models. This is a very dangerous problem and needs to rectified by chrsler.all of these incidents have occured in various location (pakking lots, driveway, rural highways with no shoulder, stop lights and stop signs.)

I hit a moose calf driving my 2010 dodge grand caravan at about 65 mph.i barely had time to hit the brakes so i was going quite fast when i hit and killed the animal.the front end of my van crumpled up and the radiator, etc was destroyed, the windshield smashed, hood buckled, driver's door unable to open.while the explosion that is connected with an airbag deployment occurred (the chemical cloud filled the vehicle), the airbags themselves did not inflate.i informed the repair shop about this and they will save the airbag assembly for me to provide to chrysler for investigation.

September 7, 2015, was entering interstate, car continued to accelerate with accelerator depressed, pressing on brake was minimally functional, managed to get car on offramp and to parking lot, however brakes were extremely hot and brake light was on. Turned off the ignition, and restarted car. Accelerator was still depressed so turned car off. Came back after two hours and car functioned normally. Took car to dodge service repair, showed a code p2299, brake pedal position-accelerator position, and code c0021 brake booster performance. Mechanic cleared codes, stated that handicapped hand controls were engineered improperly and allowed both brakes and accelerator to be used at same time. Service manager stated they had never heard of a wireless throttle body control problem and that i was the first to complain. Later stated that several other hand control units they had worked on functioned improperly. It was extremely evident they were covering a stuck throttle body problem that has been seen by a number of non-dodge authorized mechanics.

I received an "important safety recall" notice for the wireless ignition node module of my dodge caravan in may 2015. It is important for my safety concerns and vehicle reliability. I went to the dealer for the free correction-upgrade and repair in may. They told me the part is not in, be in next week, next week, in a few days......on and on...etc..........made me several appointments and the parts never arrived, thus wasting my time and weekly scheduling. If i call they get annoyed with my call, if i go there they get annoyed for my requested and required by law, free repair. They promise, next week, you are on our list, you will be soon, let me leave a note.....it seems like a scam. Now it is october 21, 2015 and it still has not happened. They were again annoyed with yesterdays visit and gave many excuses and of no help. They keep giving excuses for not performing this safety recall. Something very strange is going on here and they seem to be ignoring their customerssafety of which the repair is required by law to be performed......after all.....it is a safety recall! i am considering future lawsuit/or class action lawsuit with many others who are very unhappy with chrysler/b&b dodge. Please take care of this. The dealer is b&b dodge, 125 grandview ave, honesdale, pa 18431. Telephone number:570-253-12909.the repair is replacement of "the wireless ignition module" (win), replacement of the frequency operated button ignition keys (fobik) and ignition switch, etc. This is all fully described on my fca safety recall..........r03/nhtsa/14v-373. By the way, after all of this aggravation, i am considering my next vehicle not to be a chrysler product. Thank you very much.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

During cold weather vehicle will shut off while driving, usually happens within first 5-15 minutes at low speed with cold or cool engine. It happens while driving straight or turning. There is no warning, no shudder, and no engine error light. Immediate loss of power steering and power breaks. Many reports online from other owners. No issues in warmer weather. Local dealer could not replicate issue after holding vehicle for 3 consecutive days.

Hello,i own a 2010 dodge caravan. Sunday april 19, 2015 i was driving towards las vegas from kingman, az at night when suddenly my headlights turn off. Keep in mind i have my 3 kids with me, ages 8,9 and 10. I turned back around after driving over 40 miles, using only my fog lights that provide 40-50 feet of visibility. I cautiously drive home almost in the dark, made it home and googled this problem. Looks like a tipm issue from what i gathered. So in the morning my vehicle doesn't start. I called my local dodge dealer, they aren't aware of a recall on this and has never heard this before. Additionally they want $110 to tell me what's wrong with my vehicle. So i had my vehicle towed to martin swanty hyundai to diagnose the problem for free, and i spent $111 on what they said was a bad positive battery terminal connection. Well, got it home, the headlights worked again. Next day, it's night time again and guess what, no headlights again! looks like it wasn't the battery connection, still having the famous tipm m.o. This is clearly not the first vehicle to have this problem. I see this is a class action lawsuit that dodge and chrysler are sweeping under the rug. So now i have a family of 5 (soon to be 6) to support, and drive around in my family vehicle with no headlights and this is not a recall yet with dodge? and you want me to spend over $1000 to get it fixed just to put another faulty part in my van again? i have my family to feed, not $1000 to feed into my car that's only 5 years old and paid off. I was told by my local dodge dealer to call chrysler at 1-800-334-9200 and spoke with a representative that said that they will not offer a complementary diagnosis, i would need to pay another $110 to have it looked at to diagnose what is wrong. I asked them if they were familiar with this issue and they said they were not.

While driving about 70 miles per hour on the interstate, the engine shut down without warning.i was able to steer the van off the road. I had no trouble restarting the vehicle.the vehicle continued to shut down periodically over the next month or so.i took it to the dealer for repair.the said that they had identified the problem and fixed it.the vehicle continued to shut down and it was making me and my family very nervous, because we had no idea when it would just "stop".it would make a short click sound, then "stop". I took it back to the dealer, and this time, they could not find anything wrong.i called and reported the problem to the headquarters, and they referred me back to the local dealer.they said that they could not find the problem and that i would need to bring it back and leave it.i had no problem with leaving it, but by this time, i was fearful for my life and had lost confidence in the dealership to repair it.

Since 2013 my dodge grand caravan has failed to start on numerous occasions.it will work ok when suddenly you turn the key and the dash lights come on but the engine will not turn over. A dodge dealer changed the battery but the problem has persisted.sometimes you can turn the key to on shift into drive and back into park and it will start. Sometimes you can shift into neutral and it will start.other times neither of these fixes work.researching this problem shows it has long been a longterm problem with dodge and chrysler covering several year models.numerous people have reported starters, batteries, tipm modules, win modules, fobs and neutral safety switkennethches (transmission range sensors) being replaced with no relief from the problem.chrysler and dodge dealerships are unable to diagnose the problem and correct it.it has left us stranded in both cold an hot weather sometimes with our 3 small grandchildren in the vehicle.i feel that the safety issue of this problem is something the manufacturer should be required to identify and correct.

There is a recall on the rear quarter window switch that may overheat . I received the letter on thursday and by sunday my door caught on fire, now not only the switch must be replaced andi supposeall wiring and rest of the switches and the door interior panel should be change because of damage.i called the recall center and after two days i'm still waiting for a call with instructions as to what to do not to mention the scare me and my wife got and the expenses it will cost me because i need to rent a car until the issue is resolved.

I was driving at approximately 45-50 mph and all the warning lights came on and in the next second the car just lost all power. Nothing! i pulled over and it started about 5 minutes later. Having to drive an hour back home on the highway was scared and my father being a disabled vet - this is the vehicle that is used.

I have received a recall notice 3 times. I have contacted the dealer nemours times trying to resolve the issue. They are telling me that parts are not available. Also i have replaced the breaks 4 times the first time was at 17,659 miles. I also had to replace the upper cooling lines. I just noticed that the lower cooling pipe is rusting very bad to the point of failure. We had trouble with the electronics since the purchase of the van. We purchased the van brand new. The doors were locking by there self the heating/cooling controls had to be replaced. I would like to resolve these issues.

My van has repeatedly stopped while driving, approximately 10 times from november 2014 to january 2, 2014.i lose all power steering and brakes without warning and have to carefully get myself to the side of the road.this is a very dangerous situation and scares me especially when my family is in the van with me.in all instances i have been lucky and have only been going 20-40 mph and has been in places that i'm able to get over easily.the next time i may not be so lucky.when i get pull over i put the van in park, turn the key to off and restart with no problems.i had the van in the dealership for an entire day with no luck.they took it out several times and could not get it to recur.they did some updating on the computer system.they checked all kinds of things out and everything was coming back alright.they also could not see any codes that there was a problem.i did not have it occur again for almost 2 weeks in the shop so i thought maybe it worked, however on jan. 2, 2014, it occurred again.this problem really concerns me especially after recently reading how often this has happened to other people with the same vehicle.

While driving 40 miles an hour on a city highway a warning beep occurred and the elc & esp lights came on. The speed dropped to 10 miles per hour, i drove the back ways home at no more than 10 miles per hour. Suddenly it kicked back in and drove normally. Upon turning it off and back on the lights are off and seems to be running properly. Having it towed to dodge dealership in the morning to have it checked out.

While driving on the highway in north east florida, i drove into a very heavy thunderstorm.tried to turn on wipers and nothing happened.i was traveling in the center lane and could not move off the road.my visibility was reduced to zero... I could not see past the windshield.i was forced to slow down rapidly causing panic with traffic behind me.i had to drive using my 2 side mirrors to guide me and only knowing that i was in between the 2 white lane stripes.i eventually made it to the side of the road but could not proceed until the rain stopped.2 weeks later, i was on official travel and the exact same thing happened again, almost causing an accident.the dealership service shop changed the wiper motor costing $450 on the first repair.now they are saying that it is the "tipm, totally integrated power module", which will for the part alone cost nearly $1000.the dealership will not credit the first repair that they charged and got wrong and it has been 6 days on this repair and they still do not have the part needed.i did do some research and found that the tipm has pending lawsuits and controls many items in the vehicle that could cause a major safety issue.recommend staying away from these vehicles with tipm issues.recommend also that gsa get a refund on the first repair.

I have a 2010 dodge caravanthe first issue was the transmissions took it to a dealer who checked it and said the problem was in the computer did an upgrade corrected some of the problem still having problems with it shifting the second issue was the ignition switch which i took it in due to a recall i received bought the vehicle used so the recall had no been doneafter recall was completed now having trouble with head lights never had a problem until switch was changedwhen we got it back noticed that when key was in head lights came on this vehicle does not have driving on auto head lights according to paperwork i have shortly there after when turning on the headlights they flash a couple times and go off unable to get them to come back on now the lights come on when ever and go back off will not do anything unless a ken is in the ignition and then just flash once and go back offtook it to the dealer who in their words after checking thought the tip was bad and wanted $900.00 with no guarantee that would fix it i see a lot of complaints from owners while doing research to try and fix my problem about other vehicles with same from 1999 to presentit appears to me dodge has a problem they are not fixingmaybe they need more bail out money.

Tipm electrical fire while van was parked. Started after pushing the door lock on my key fob. Chrysler sent an independent adjuster out on 2/2/16. Have not heard from chrysler yet. This is the 2nd time my van has had an electrical fire. 1st time was october 2014 - had to replace entire electrical system in the van. I saved the 2 boxes worth of burned harnesses/parts just in case. I paid $6,000 out of pocket last time. Fire department came and disconnected battery and fuse box. No flames or injuries.

This is a 4.0 engine, and will die out every time in traffic, every time (regardless of outside temperature or dampness). It will restart, but can feel it still wants to cut out, as the tachometer bounces around to 500 rpm, and sometimes almost zero, then 'catches itself' to a normal idle. This is especially concerning because i live near a curved road that drops off into a ravine, and for this reason, my wife won't drive it anymore. This problem has happened at speeds 10-40 mph. It dies out (again regardless if cold or wet outside). I can restart the vehicle, and won't die again, until the engine gets cold again (usually 3 hrs.). It is unbelievable that once it restarts, it never happens multiple times in same occurrence. Something is telling it to shutdown, which is dangerous. No power steering and brakes have to be pushed hard (no power, and is why my wife won't drive it). I had this diagnosed at m&w service center (a highly rated place). Brookfield dodge was overbooked, and i felt i needed to get it addressed asap. I paid the diagnostics fee. They recalibrated the throttleand cleaned the fuel injection system. They said this a great running vehicle.there is nothing left to do. I already have $370 invested in this problem, it didn't fix it. Prior to the issue, the timing belt and sparkplugs were replaced. It ran great for several months after those components were done. I have had this problem for the last 4 weeks. I am going to have to take this to brookfield dodge, and pay the diagnostic fee again, and hope they find the problem. It is amazing to see that there are actually dozens of complaints on-line just like mine, and they are saying the problem has not been found. This is not good news for a vehicle that is supposed to be safe for the family. It seems to be engineered to shutdown, instead of just not start, which is dangerous, since 10/25/2018.

First incident was may of 2012 when drive at i lost power to window wipers, turn signals ,windows, door locks and radio. Ifiled a complaint with the nhtsa on 09/28/2012 no.10490319. Since then the dealer replaced the control module with replacement fix on 01/03/2013 per your recall notice. The new module is now having the same issue as the old design.

Since we had the electrical recall 11v139000. We have 3 problems since the recall. . first. The radio would not work and not turn off. It was just stuck on the "accept display. The dealer fixed that and said that it was related to the recall. This past week we had two failures. The first failure, the wipers would not turn off, heated seats did not work, turn signals didn't work and the steering wheel controls didn't respond. The dealer fixed that and said that there was moisture in the heated seats element.last night, theradio and the steering wheel controls stopped responding we have to bring the van in again today. While driving on a street and hitting a large bump or driving over bumpy railroad tracks the vehicle will just shut off like someone turned off the ignition. You have to put the car back in park and turn the ignition switch on to start the car again. This has happened several times in the last month.

I took my van to the dealer because the windows would either roll down on their own and the switch on the door worked sometimes.i purchased a battery for my key fob because the doors would not lock or unlock all the time.the dealer fixed the recall switch for the vent windows, and i was charged $4.03, $400.00, labor and total of $179.56 in parts.they did not offer a loaner car while my van was being worked on. I had to pay 82.00 for a rental.i had 3 quarters of a tank of gas when i dropped it off, and when i got the vehicle back it was a little under the 1/2 mark and no one offered to replace it.the dealer did take $200.00 off, and i was told that they did it because i was a good customer. Well, i don't think good customers should be treated this way.the windows and mirrors do work now, however; they must have broke something else because my side doors will not lock, they changed the battery in the key fob and it still does not work.i've had problems where as the front windows would go down 1/2 way on their own.i have read where there have been numerous reports about the windows going down on their own and it would seem to me that this is were the problem stemmed from.the windows go down whenever they want to and moisture gets in side the vehicle and causes this type of problem.i called the dealership back on 3/13/2015 and no one answered and i could not leave a message.i called back on 3/15/2015 and spoke with a very nice young lady named [xxx] and she says they would not have a loaner until thursday, 3/18/2015 even though they have a relationship with the enterprise rent a car company.what am i looking for??i am expecting to be reimbursed for the $381.55.i feel strongly that this was a factory issue and the dodge chrysler jeep dealer should be responsible for all charges, including the money spent on a rental car.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Upon starting the dodge caravan se 2010 i closed both power passenger doors with my children in safety belts, upon entering the drivers side my child asked me to turn on the overhead lights so that she could find something that dropped on the floor with the drivers door opened, and the vehicle running i turned on the overhead lights only to have both power passenger doors open on their own. I was able to replicate this error a number of times under similar conditions, and am unable to pin point a cause. This could be a large safety defect. What if this was to happen while traveling at highway speeds ? this issue could cause a minor passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. I ask for a recall / investigation.

The ignition switch was finally replaced as a result of a recall. Shortly after the replacement we began experiencing a situation in which the van would not start. All we could get was a "clunk" sound from the front of the vehicle. It has a battery that is less than a year old and usually starts fine. The situation exists when we try to use either keys. So far, we have been lucky in that it starts fine after after 8 or more tries; the engine will start and for several days to a couple of weeks things are fine and then the same thing happens again. All electrical systems seem to be operating properly except for the tire pressure light. It, too, has started acting up with about the same frequency. The dodge service department feels it may be the battery in the pressure sensor valve. Funny that they both started about a month or two after the ignition switch was replaced.

My van, on at least 5 occasions has had the radio cut out, the windows not be able to open, and the worst no wipers, radio, lights in or outside, heat, defroster for the vehicle during a down pour.getting off the road meant i had to open the window and stick my head out in the rain all while i try to cross a busy milwaukee intersection and pull the vehicle over, turn off the engine and then restart it.nothing else will work.

I have a 2010 dodge caravan vin #[xxx] that has some sort of electrical problem which causes the vehicle to stop while running at any speed. The van just goes dead, no power steering, nothing - making this a very dangerous situation. The problem has occurred on three occasions now and has been reported to dodge - case #. The vehicle was brought to two separate dealerships and each time the issue was the same. No computer code means no problem. Please look into this matter.... Vehicle dies when going down road other sources show a recall for the 2010 caravan

There is a known recall now for 2008-2010 dodge caravans for the ignition switch or win module malfunctioning. My van started with not turning completely off when the key was in off mode and removed from the ignition. The radio would still be on and lights on the dash with the key completely out of ignition. I had to remove the battery cable to get the van to turn off completely. This worked for a couple days but now it will not start or run at all. The error on the dash display says "bad key" and i am unable to start or use my van at all. When asked about recall they say my van doesn't fall into the months they issued the recall for in 2010? i am going to have to get this fixed because i cannot use the van otherwise and to replace the win module it is going to cost me around $600 (which i do not have!). I just purchased the van on memorial day weekend 05/2015 so i have only had this vehicle roughly 3 months and it is already broken down. Not a happy customer!

The key is stuck in the ignition nothing works and it is staying "on" when key is in ignition killing the battery even though nothing is now working. There was a recall on this for 2010 dodge van but my vin number didn't show up. I find it very strange when doing research that this is the same exact problem as the ones on recall. My van was parked in my driveway ran perfect one evening the next morning nothing and key got stuck.

Headlights would not come on after dark.car had to be towed.this has happened on numerous occasions, where the headlights do come on then go off.very unsafe!!it was returned to the dealer after the first incident to fix, but it has happened again repeatedly.now we have to take it back to the dealer for a $700 fix.unsat!!

While driving at 55 mph, my van all of a sudden turned off.i lost all power steering and struggled to get the van off the road.once i got it off the road, i was able to start the vehicle and drove about 2 miles.the vehicle died a second time as i was getting ready to turn onto the street in which i live.my speed at that time was around 20 mph.i pulled into the carwash, where i was able to start the vehicle again, and then drove home.i went aprox. 1 mile that time.we parked the van and as my husband was getting out of the driver side, he strongly smelled something electrical burning.i went over to the driver side and smelled the same smell.the very next day i left in my van around noon and within a quarter of mile my van died four times.i turned around and drove a quarter of a mile back, with the van dying three more times.i finally made it home and informed the dealership of the problem.within 2 hours they brought me a rental.it has been exactly two weeks that i have been without my van and they are unable to fix it as of now.i can't help but believe that my van is having the exact same issues as the other recalled 2010 dodge caravans.i have the exact same testimonies as some of the other people that actually have a recall on their dodge caravan. Please help! this vehicle was just bought on 11-17-2014 thanks in advance.

While driving on a dry road, the light on the dash board went on to indicate the car was sliding... The steering wheel locked up, i had no brakes, i had to glide to a stop. This happened 4 times in one day. I was able to glide to a stop, shut the van off, restart it only for it to happen again.i took it to my mechanic who stated it was a computer chip issue and that i would have to go to a dealer to get it fixed for approx $1,800.00.i could've seriously injured and/or killed myself and those around me.

I was driving at approximately 45-50 mph and all the warning lights came on and in the next second the car just lost all power. Nothing! i pulled over and it started about 5 minutes later. Having to drive an hour back home on the highway was scared and my father being a disabled vet - this is the vehicle that is used.

"takata recall" 2010 dodge grand caravan 4.0 sxt . Power shutting down while driving on a city street . Lights flashing on and off in the dash. No check engine lights coming on.no codes showing when diagnosed. Has happened 3 times in the last week

Last year while driving my van, it stalled or turned off completely while driving. My power steering everything went dead.i was able to pull into the nearest gas station and place in park and restart the engine.since that initial incident last year, it continues to happen.the most recent i was driving in the baltimore inner harbor tunnel when it shut down.on a few occasions i was almost rear ended.it doesn't matter what speed, the vehicle just turns off in the middle of driving.the dealer keeps telling me they can't find a problem.there are numerous complaints about this and also numerous accidents reported due to this. It saddens me that my self and my children could die in an accident due to dodge neglecting to recall these vehicles.

Van engine shut off while driving at 40mph on the highway. This is not the first time the can has shut off. The van has shut off on numerous occasions, most of the time it is within a few hundred yards of the starting point. Thus time the can was warm and just quit leaving my family and i without power bakes our steering. Van was shifted to neutral while coasting at 40 mph on the highway and restarted.

The car started shutting off in the middle of an off ramp or just going down a street or coming to a stop. Left me without power steering or brakes. Very scary. I have taken it into the dealer and at first they said it was a gunky throttle, but paid for it, brought it home and it died again that same day. Mechanic took it out and he said he wasgoing 30 miles an hour and it died on him and he almost wrecked my car. No codes are showing or no check engine light, so they have not been able to figure out what is going on with it. Plus the transmission slams into my front end if i am going normal speed and come to a stop at the bottom of my hill and told them about this last year and was told that was normal for that car(i don't think so). I am at a loss and on a fixed income. Where do i go from here?

While driving at 50mph the traction light came on and the van became unresponsive to the accelerator.while the van began to slow the power steering stopped working making it hard to maneuver off the road, good thing i was on a rural road. This is extremely dangerous!!!

Driving on interstate hwy at approx 60 mph when the vehicle/engine turned off.got to shoulder of hwy and was able to restart the vehicle.

My van will cut off while driving down the road and i loose control of steering and brakes.

I was walking back to my running, set in park van,as i walked through the front of my van, and back of another vehicle,i touched my van hood, and my car went forward by itself pinning me between both cars crushing my knees! it went uphill set in park while running in a driveway.

Original owner of the vehicle.this is actually a report of 5-6 separate incidents of the same issue within a week's span.the engine of the vehicle suddenly shuts off while driving.it is instant and silent, with no pre-warning.driver loses all power steering / brakes during the occurrence.last incident almost caused an accident when the vehicle's engine stalled and a following vehicle had to take action to avoid a collision.my wife and kids were in the van at the time of the incident.when it happens, the van always starts back up, but it has to be stationary and in-park.vehicle was taken to the dealership on 01/23/15 for repair.dealership indicated the egr valve and temperature sensor was faulty and has been a common problem for decades.this is the second temperature sensor that has been replaced by the dealer.internet search confirms many issues such as this are evident on the road.repair made 01/23/15 at a consumer cost of $513.41.our purchased extended warranty covered all of it, but $150.00.i consider the issue, in regard to a dfmea format to be, loss of function which shall be a severity of 10 and an inverted delta by the manufacturer.i ask that nhtsa investigate this issue as my families well being was at stake this morning which does not sit lightly with me as a husband / father.

The contact owns 2010 dodge caravan. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 70,000 and the current mileage was 77,000.

Bought the van from cooks volkswagen on may 7th, 2018. In the first 3 mths of me owning it i had to get 2 motor mounts and a starter put in. Then from that point it was all down hill! it has had 3 transmissions(cooks has done 2 and i took the van to thompson for them to do the third), hub assembly, welded the core support, power steering pulley and baring, struts for the truck hatch, i had to pay for out of pocket for power steering pulley and baring and one day of rental for a rental car! i have already called my lawyer and to have chrysler/dodge sued for selling an uninspected vehicle and filing a civil suit against your company!!!! as of may 13,2019 it is in the shop again and have another rental van after getting it back on friday may 10, 2019 after it's 3rd transmission being installed and tried to drive it down 95 north on may 11,2019 and i got to 6th gear and it went straight into limp mode and had to take it back to thompson's to fix it!

Vehicle shuts off while in motion usually within first 10 minutes of driving. We thought it was doing it because we did not warm up the engine enough in winter but now it happens is warmer weather as well. The engine just shuts off usually within .25-2 miles from the start of the trip. There is no engine check light, and no error in log. The car has already undergone the ignition key recall repair and a 3 day diagnostic at a local dodge dealer in schaumburg il, without them finding anything wrong. This is very dangerous as the driver looses power steering, 2 times we almost got into an accident because the car stalled mid turn. It will stall while driving straight or turning. Usually of we let the car sit and warming up for 15-20 minutes the problem will not show up, but if we start the car and put it in drive within 1 minute it will most likely stall during the drive. While the car is still rolling straight the we can put the car in neutral and restart the vehicle and continue driving but usually we have to make a full stop in the middle of the traffic lane because the wheel is too hard to turn to pull over.there is many instances of other dodge grand caravans doing this.

My car has been having intermittent stalling/ no starting issues since 9/16/14.i have replaced the battery, spark plugs, crank shaft sensor, wyn module.i have had my mechanic look it+ i have taken it into the dodge dealer 2 times and they have not been able to figure out why it keeps stalling/ not starting.i have tried contacting the dodge corporate office to see if they could help but so far i have not been able to speak to a representative.my car has stoppedcompletely (losing steering/power) a lot of times, of which 2 times were on the freeway going 50 + miles w/ kids in my car.this is a huge safety issue!!!! luckily i was able to pull off the road and restart my car before my kids and i were hit. 9/16/14- serviced car for intermittent no start6/22/15 did not start for several times7/9/15 serviced car for intermittent no start 8/19/15 serviced car for intermittent no start- replaced batteryxx- going into parking lot 20 mph car cut off.

My stx grand caravan stalls while driving down the road without any warning. No trouble lights come on except the traction light. The light goes off as soon as you restart the van. Usually happens when i let off the gas pedal to slow down. No one knows how to fix it !! has happened in the city but mostly while driving on the highway when i let off the gas.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. The contact stated that while driving 5 mph and attempting a u-turn, she noticed fire coming from the front end of her vehicle.the fire department was contacted to extinguish the fire. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home and was not taken the to dealer. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure and current mileage was 86,405.

While driving the van, the vehicle cuts off, steering becomes difficult and the traction control light comes on. I have to restart the car in order to drive. This is very dangerous to have a car to just "shut-off" while driving. This has occurred at least 5 times within the last week. I have been driving on different cities street and once while turning into major traffic. I contacted a chrysler dealership service department and was told this particular car was not in a recall but this has been an issue for dodge caravans for many years from my research.

While driving engine shut down and i did not know it until i realized i did not have power steering or brakes, while car still rolling i restarted vehicle.i received letter notifying me on a recall regarding this problem.i brought car in for repair.july 19 i brought my car in for oil change and told dealer that after recall repair my key gets stuck in ignition and cant turn car off unless i put vehicle in drive again and restart car and again try to shut off.dealer said they needed to check the recall and possibly replace again.they said they would inspect win module and reposition for more key support.august 15, 2012 vehicle stalled again while driving.this is getting dangerous since i have 3 toddlers in car with me at all times - the reason for purchasing a mini van.dealer states they know i have been there several times for same concern but found no stored or active codes.they stated it may have to do with needing a software updateand updated to latest level. Oct 22,2012 brought vehicle in again for 4th time with vehicle stalling while driving.dealer decided they would keep my vehicle and gave me a loaner to drive home.the stated they needed to duplicate in order to fix.after driving 237 miles (warranty over in 6k miles) and contacting chrysler on how to handle problem, they re-installed the safety recall again. The dealer keeps doing the same recall over and over with no resolution to this very scary stalling problem.now dec, my key again did not come out of ignition unless i restarted vehicle.don't know where to turn for further assistance with ganley dodge.

My 2010 dodge grand caravan stalls 5 to 10 times per week.it stalls at any speed and at any time (warm or cold).since the dodge dealership could not find the issue (hats off to their ineptitude), after further research, i learned the issue is due to failure of the totally integrated power module (tipm) and affects other dodge/chrysler products .see nhtsa action number: dp14004.however, nhtsa stance on this is 'except insofar as the petitioner's contentions relate to the defect condition addressed by the chrysler recalls, the factual bases of the petitioner's contentions that any further investigation is necessary are unsupported. In our view, additional investigation is unlikely to result in a finding that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists or a nhtsa order for the notification and remedy of a safety-related defect as alleged by the petitioner at the conclusion of the requested investigation. Therefore, in view of the need to allocate and prioritize nhtsa's limited resources to best accomplish the agency's safety mission, the petition is denied'.this will only be resolved when someone dies or the nhtsa takes our 'contentions' seriously.

Engine shut off.

The win module has been replaced on four different occasions. My vehicle stalled without warning each time. In one instance i was in the fast lane on the freeway! i received a recall notice after the second incident. On seven (7), occasions i have had to replace the brakes and/or rotors. These are very serious issues. Updated 11/04/13the consumer is also seeking reimbursement for repairs to the transmission, and the engine light illuminating.updated 06/29/15.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan.the contact stated that the vehicle vibrated abnormally when driving at various speeds. The failure was experienced numerous times and the check engine light illuminated while the failure occurred.the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for the failure. The dealer performed a diagnostic which located several failure codes.the dealer reset the vehicle key codes. The failure was not corrected. The vehicle continued to vibrate while driving at any speed. The failure and the current mileage was 33,148.

While driving our new dodge grand caravan the engine will just turn off intermittently when you come up to a stop or turning. This happened once and the dealer said they could not "recreate it" so they could not fix it. We were advised to bring it back if the problem happened again. Two days later the engine turned off while i was turning left at an intersection. This incident almost caused a serious accident and left me shaking. I drove directly to the dealer where the same story as before was dictated. They are keeping it to see if they can make it do it again. When asked if the computer never shows the problem could that mean the problem is in the computer? the dealer said "maybe".

When driving there is no noticeable difference between high and low beams- if anything the lows seem brighter- also, i get flashed a lot by oncoming drivers when my lights are on low beams.

Headlights unexpectedly go out.do not come back for a few days sometime a month.happens when you are driving at night sometimes they just wont come on when turned on.when stuck with out headlights have to drive home with fog lights. Very dangerous.

On 7/16/2013 it was raining but not hard and i had my headlights on and dropped off a passenger and as i went into the driveway my lights were shining on the garage door.as soon as i got to the end of the driveway which had a slight up grade the headlights flashed on and off 2 to 3 times and they would not stay on after that.i called the dealership and they advised me to replace both headlights which was done.this seemed to correct the problem and all day wednesday i drove the van with the headlights on and they seemed to work. However on thursday we took a small trip which took us 45 miles away from home.when we started back on thursday night 7/18/13 the lights flashed a few times and then went out.we were unable to drive home and got to a motel that night.so the new lights apparently did not fix the problem, further, we checked the old lights and they actually checked out fine.the van is now at the dealership being repaired andthe problem seems to be the box that holds all the fuses and relays.upon checking on the internet we discovered that other people have reported the same problem. We consider ourselves very lucky in that if this failure had occurredon the interstate driving highway speeds no telling what could have happened if the headlights had failed at that time.we were lucky that we turned the lights on before moving and saw the lights were not working, this is going to be a repair job of over $700.00 dollars and if other people are having this problem in other years and models i think that maybe this situation warrants further study, at present the van is being repaired and should be back in a few days, this is the first time that we have ever experience anything like this; failure of headlights.if this problem warrants a recall at some point maybe i might receive a refund on this repair.

While driving at night on a back road the headlights suddenly shut off ever thing else was fine luckly i had my fog lights on because it was a dark road . I could not get the high or low beams to work so drove home with just the fog lights .

Headlights go out unexpectedly, it has happened while driving and while standing still. Fog lights and running lights work but headlights do not.if they are working and you turn on the brights they go out and they go on and off by themselves.

While driving in rain storm with cruise control, wipers, lights, and radio on power to controls would turn off. Engine was still running and systems came back on after turning off radio, lightsfor awhile.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. While driving 20 mph, the headlight switch began to work intermittently. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but the failure could not be remedied. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 15,000.

I rented a dodge grand caravan from national car rental at the charleston, sc airport on july 14, 2010.that evening the van slipped into reverse when i was exiting the vehicle.it knocked me down and ran over my left leg.i suffered scrapes and bruises all over my body and a bone contusion on my left knee and am now recovering.the safety of the dash mounted gear shift in this vehicle should be examined by the manufacturer.it should also be questioned by any other vehicle operator or provider.

Passenger rear wheel became extremely hot with loud humming noise after traveling at 67 mph for a few minutes.came to find out that the brake caliper had been sticking.the pads and rotors must be replaced.the dealer knows the sticking caliper is the problem but refuses to take responsibility and repair it.i am afraid i will have to continue to fix my brakes every 25,000 miles or even less.

My husband and i were driving one day, out of thy blue, the van began to shake towards the front of the van.we couldn't get the speed over 25 mph.we got it to the nearest mechanic shop.they said it was the calipers.they said that it was very close to catching on fire.i had to have both calipers replaced and a brake job.i also had to purchase a new tire.i called and reported it to dodge/chrysler.they said that there had not been any problems with other vans.it was an extremely scary incident to go through.they said that they might be able to do something if the van had actually caught on fire.that's just crazy.this has cost me about $800.00.i just want to make sure that this gets reported in case other vans have similar problems. The mechanics were shocked at what they saw.they said that it should not have done what it did.

I complained of pulsating brakes and grinding on my brakes.took vehicle to dealership repeated times.was told it was brake dust.ended up being warped rotors.have had both the front and rear rotors replaced multiple times.within 13 months.rotors need to be replaced again. Dodge has admitted poor design. Ending up replacing rotors every 6 months. Had a 2008 dodge caravan with same problem.

I purchased a 2010 dodge caravan in april of 2010 with 19 miles on it. In august with only aprox 7300 miles i had the rear rotors replaced, because they were too bad to turn. I also complained about the sliding doors rubbing fenders. In october with 11000 miles i placed the van back in shop for doors rubbing fender and rear rotors. At this they turned the rotors and buffed out fenders. In december brake calipers were sticking so they put a adapter on the calipers that was supposed to keep the brakes from sticking. In may with 19000 miles i had the van in shop for front brakes and rotors (recall). While in shop they checked the rear and found rear rotors were bad again, at my cost of 300.00. Had the car inspected with only 2,000 miles on the new rear rotors and found they have hotspots on them already. The mechanic suggested i have the rear rotors replaced again before the 12,000 miles are up. He said there are already hotspots on the rear.i will be putting my 2010 dodge caravan in shop again with 23,500 miles for rear rotors and rattle noise in rear. I am sick of this, i honestly think chrysler is a joke. 7300,11000,19000, and now 23500. What is it going to take to get this problem fixed? i am not sure these people care about the safety of their customers. They replaced my rotors on the rear again. I filed a claim and chrysler offered $2500. What a slap in the face. I wish there was more we could do. Please let me know>>

Takata recall.i was taking my children to school and the steering and breaking system completely locked up on me almost causing us to crash into a tree.i was able to push in the emergency break and get the car out of drive.i had no control over the steering nor the regular break.the car was in motion on a city street when the incident occurred.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was advised that he needed to replace the brakes and the rotors. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred less than a month later. The manufacturer was not contacted.updated 08/01/12*ljthe consumer stated he problems with the brkaes pullin and shaking as well as the steering wheel vibrating, as well as the entire vehicle.the rotors warped and the pads were cracked.updated 08/02/12

I have owned my dodge caravan since april 2016 and have needed 3 extensive brake jobs totaling over $3,000 which included new pads, rotors and calipers.i have read on other sights i am not the only one that has this problem with the same vehicle.i am about to take my vehicle in for the forth time and am very frustrated with this problem. I drive my four children around in this vehicle and need it to be safe.that is why i originally bought this vehicle.no brakes are not safe.

While driving one day, out of the blue my can would not go over 25 to 30 mph.it would shake violently if we went faster.we got it to the mechanic and the brakes had almost caught on fire.it ruined one tire and the brakes and calipers.the mechanic said that this should have never happened.it was extremely dangerous.i reported it to dodge.they said it had never happened.i want to make sure that it does get reported.i feel like i should be compensated for this.they said that there was nothing they could do since it never actually caught on fire.really?

I have received a recall notice 3 times. I have contacted the dealer nemours times trying to resolve the issue. They are telling me that parts are not available. Also i have replaced the breaks 4 times the first time was at 17,659 miles. I also had to replace the upper cooling lines. I just noticed that the lower cooling pipe is rusting very bad to the point of failure. We had trouble with the electronics since the purchase of the van. We purchased the van brand new. The doors were locking by there self the heating/cooling controls had to be replaced. I would like to resolve these issues.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. While driving various speeds, the brake pedal was depressed and an abnormal noise emitted from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and an independent mechanic multiple times where it was diagnosed that both front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred on numerous occasions and within short intervals. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,000.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. While driving approximately 45 mph, the contact noticed a vibration in the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician replaced the front brake pads and rotors. The failure continued after the repair. The contact noticed the brakes would hesitate to respond when the pedal was depressed. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 11,500.

I have 2010 dodge grand caravan, the brakes are shot at 18,000 miles. I have never owed a new vehicle where the brakes failed like this. Brakes should last way longer than this. Of course they say the warranty is only to 12,000 miles for brakes, i have no choice but to pay, i have to have brakes! when we go pick it up i know my husband is going to cuss them out, i should not have to pay 300.00 for brakes on a car just over 1 year old.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. The contact was driving 10 mph when the brakes were depressed to the floorboard but the vehicle would stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 22,000 and the current mileage was 26,000.

My 2010 dodge caravan only has 20k miles and the brake rotors are out of round they vibrate when braking the dealer stated that turning the rotors would fix it but the brake pads are like new . I have owned lots of vehicles over the years and have gone 50 to 70k mile before brake service. I feel that this is a manufacturing problem and it should be looked into.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. The contact was driving 5 mph when the brakes were depressed abnormally into the floorboard before the vehicle would stop properly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 10,000 and the current mileage was 26,000.

When the vehicle had only 12000 miles my front tires were completely bare (like racing slicks).was taken to 2 dealerships and they looked at the van and found nothing wrong that would cause the tire wear (alignment was fine). I fought and fought with chrysler to pay for them, which they finally did about 3 weeks after the problem was addressed.now my vehicle has 15000 miles and while driving all you can hear is noises (almost like road noise but its from the front end).most likely, wheel bearings, ball joint, tie rods etc.on 10/21/11, while pulling out of my driveway low and behold what do you here, nothing but the sound of grinding brakes.no sign of brake having a issues the day before when driven.this particular van that i purchased brand new (with 2 miles on it) clearly is a lemon and has faulty parts or something majorly wrong with it.none of these parts of the vehicle should be going at this amount of miles.as always, chrysler and its' dealers say there is nothing wrong with the it.

Earlier this year, late spring, had bad vibration when applying the brakes, found out it was due to warped brake rotor(s).i took the van to a mechanic and he stated that he had the same issue with his chrysler town and country van and explained that chrysler would do nothing about it. Just last week i went to get the van inspected and it would not pass inspection because of the brake vibration. I did receive some letters from chrysler in the mail about the front brake pads and rotors, and also the front wheel bearings, so i called the dealership.the dealership told me that there was nothing for the rear rotors / brakes, and this is where the problem was that would not allow the van to pass inspection.i paid $265.00 to have the back rotor(s) cut and then have the front brakes / rotors replaced (for the known issue with the front) and after cutting the rear rotors there was still a slight vibration in the brakes!to pay over $600.00 every 1 1/2 years for front and rear rotors / brakes is unreal.i bought a brand new van because i didn't want to have to worry about major repair $ for a long time.the reason for the warped rotors is the braking system is either undersized, or there is a serious design flaw.when i search the internet i find all sorts of hits on chrysler vehicles for brake / rotor issues, past and present.i wish i would have seen this before i bought the van.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan.while driving on an decline at approximately 40 mph pressure was applied to the brakes and the vehicle began to shake. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who confirmed that the rotors were thin.the rotors were replaced and she was informed that this was a common failure among her year, make and model vehicle. The failure has not recurred. The failure mileage was 19,000 and the current mileage was 23,000.

I was driving at approximately 45-50 mph and all the warning lights came on and in the next second the car just lost all power. Nothing! i pulled over and it started about 5 minutes later. Having to drive an hour back home on the highway was scared and my father being a disabled vet - this is the vehicle that is used.

Engine shut off.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. While driving at approximately 65 mph, the vehicle made an abnormal noise. While steering to the left, the noise decreased and, while steering to the right, the noise increased. When the brake pedal was depressed, the noise stopped. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the failure was undetermined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

While driving at 50mph the traction light came on and the van became unresponsive to the accelerator.while the van began to slow the power steering stopped working making it hard to maneuver off the road, good thing i was on a rural road. This is extremely dangerous!!!

Driving on interstate using cruise control. Steering column refused to respond when attempting to steer the van with the curve in the road. Van drove off road onto embankment and flipped over.the van was totaled. Suffered a concussion and damage to back and elbow from impact. Eye glasses were broken. Eye witness behind me told state trooper that they could see that i was struggling for control of the vehicle.

Takata recall.i was taking my children to school and the steering and breaking system completely locked up on me almost causing us to crash into a tree.i was able to push in the emergency break and get the car out of drive.i had no control over the steering nor the regular break.the car was in motion on a city street when the incident occurred.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. The contact stated that the passenger and driver side automatic doors had become inoperable.in addition, the sensors failed and could not detect when an object was blocking the door to prevent it from closing. As a result, a small child was injured as the sliding door haphazardly closed on a small child and failed to detect an object in the door's path.the dealer was notified of the issue and offered no assistance for the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 50,000.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. The contact stated that the driver's side sliding door malfunctioned and could not be opened. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer (bob mariano dodge, 146 manchester st, concord, nh) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 132,000.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. While the vehicle was at champion chrysler jeep dodge ram (6525 w saginaw hwy, lansing, mi 48917, (517) 225-6658) for a power steering failure, the technician noticed that the stabilizer bar was corroded through and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 133,000. The vin was unknown.

1st time: tire light illuminated. When checking the air pressure, the valve stem broke off mid way up the stem exposing the valve itself. When all was said and done it cost approximately $150.00 to replace and program. 2nd time: checking air pressure before leaving for a long trip. I could visually see a tire was low on pressure (tire squatting), later removing the cap on the valve stem i could see a distinct what i call wear ring near where the cap, when installed, would end on the stem. As this is the area the previous stem broke, i sprayed the stem with soapy water and confirmed a slow leak from this wear ring. Had this stem replaced with a standard safe valve stem. This is a very unsafe component and should be recalled! the first occurrence took the tire about 20 seconds to go completely flat. If this were to happen at highway speeds while loaded down with a family going on vacation, this could end up with a lot of serious injuries if not fatalities.i'm having all stems replaced with the traditional style until the manufacturer recalls and provides an environmentally tested replacement. I can't believe this type of safety testing is not all ready required.

I was checking the tire pressure and the valve stem broke off in my hand and all the air ran out in 10 seconds. I removed the flat tire and took it to a local dealer and they charged me 100.00. Apparently this is a common problem for these valve stems with the internal pressure sensors and i'm worried about the other wheels doing similar possibly while driving.

While driving on i-90 tpms indicator came on. Within seconds right rear tire was flat, when i looked at the wheel i saw the valve stem was gone. There was no other damage to tire.

Valve stem failure: while replacing tires, tire dealer removed schrader valve from inside valve stem and valve stem came apart in his hand. Took wheel to dealership and had tpms replaced at a cost of $100 (deductable on extended warranty). Instructed dealer to remove and reinstall schader valves from remaining three wheels to see if problem would reoccur... And did not. I feel that the valve stem was defective and dodge should pay for repair.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the tire sensor unit indicated that one of the tires was low on pressure and the rear driver's side tire became flat. The contact mentioned that the tire valve had failed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000 and the current mileage was 60,000. Updated 09-26-13on august 6, 2013, while checking the air pressure in the tires, the consumer was unable to remove the tire valve from one of the tires, due to corrosion. When he tried to remove the tire valve by hand, on the right front tire, it broke off.

Valve stem broke off two time [2] on separate occasions, caused tires to lose air quickly, and resulted in tire failure and a loss-of-control, car crashed into curb, no damage to car or person.

This car is a 2010 dodge caravan.i have had 2 valve stems fail explosively.it occurs around where the valve core is screwed down.it appears the threaded valve stem just cracks off about the level of the bottom of the valve stem .both times i was sitting still when it happened.lucky! i don't know how wide spread this problem is but if http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/daily-news/080905-tire-valve-stem-recall-could-affect-30-million-cars/is an example, the problem is widespread and getting worse.i think that is beyond time for your agency to get very involved.the company i purchased this auto from doesn't appear to be very eager to replace these defective parts.your timely response is required.

2010 dodge caravan.consumer writes in regards to vehicle tire deflated suddenly while driving and without warning.the mechanic was unable to find any punctures, gashes or other reasons why the tire would have deflated suddenly. He concluded that the nut on the valve stem had corroded, cracked off and the seal between the stem and the tire became un-seated causing the massive loss in air pressure. Upon further inspection, it appeared that the other tires had cracked or were missing nuts on their valve stems and were in danged of the same catastrophic failure.

On july 22, 2015 vehicle wouldn't start.tried jumping nothing. Then it finally started, told my wife to take vehicle home.when i got home tried again, this time it wouldn't start at all.had vehicle towed to our local mechanic on 7-23-15.on 7-24-15 mechanic called and said the starter module was out and that this item was also on "recall".i knew this and had already contacted a dodge dealer to have replaced.now here's the problem, i travel a lot and have my own vehicle.my wife needs this caravan to go to doctor appointments.dealer ship telling me they can't get it in due to "back order"of said part.there really needs to be some priority here to get us back on the road.the caravan is setting at our local mechanic's shop not able to get started.please check if you can priorities this.dealer ship is kunes country in sterling, il.

Our vin shows no recalls however we are having the same issues as known nhtsa campaign #11v139000 "chrysler is recalling certain model year 2010 dodge journey, grand caravan, and chrysler town & country vehicles manufacturer from august 3, 2009, through june 17, 2010. Some vehicles may experience inadvertent ignition key displacement from the run to accessory position while driving causing the engine to shut off" & nhtsa campaign#14v055000 - "over time and with use, the vehicle's rear axle may develop cracks which could lead to axle failure.consequence: failure of the rear axle may increase the risk of a crash."both are for a 2010 dodge caravan, just not our vin.our rear end cracked yesterday and luckily we had just got off the freeway and was slowly driving through a parking lot when it snapped!!!our van constantly shuts off while driving!!!!i believe our van vin needs included in this recall!!!

The locks on all doors unlocks and locks by itself when driving. Drivers door panel to control windows works when it wants to.

All the warning lights on the dash light up, the wipers start and can't be stopped, all the windows won't go up or down, the door locks won't work and worst of all the gas gauge, speedometer, and other dash indicators go dead showing no action. This all happens unannounced at any time driving or still. It can happen with just turning the key on to start the car.the most recent time, 2/10/16 the dealer repair said there were a total of 24 different codes saved that did conflict with each other.

Unexpected shut down while driving on a highway, take foot off gas pedal vehicle stalls out, lose steering control and brakes,it would happen at least 10 times in a 10 mile stretch, took vehicle to dodge dealer no codes to locate problem ask about ignition module replacement it was told already replaced, they are masking a hazard for that vehicle, please do something for that vehicle before some dies or are serious injured, that problem has happen several times in aweek, took vehicle off the road for winter driving.

I was walking back to my running, set in park van,as i walked through the front of my van, and back of another vehicle,i touched my van hood, and my car went forward by itself pinning me between both cars crushing my knees! it went uphill set in park while running in a driveway.

My key just turned to the acc postion while i was driving lost my power stearing and brakes. It happened twice now first time i thought it was just a fluke but when it happened again and a car hit into the back off me i knew something wasn't right. I was driving about 25mph there is about 85000 miles on the van. I only own it for about 3 months.i google it to see what it can be to find out there was a recall on this same issue for that year, make and model of my van. When i called they said my vin number was not included in that recall. So how is it that for the same year same problem it's not covered. I have never had a car that key would just slip back and just shut down my car while driving.i defently think this should be looked into and if i was on a interstate when it happened i would of been killed. I am now afraid to even drive the car. No codes came on or nothing it was running perfectly and the key just went back to the acc spot it started right back up.

My electronic throttle control comes on and ilosea power and could cause an accident

The engine on my 2010 dodge caravan shuts off while i am driving.it has happened 4 or 5 times in the last 15 months.i have usually been driving at a speed of 35-45 mph.since the power steering shuts off, i cannot steer to the side of the road.i have to push the braked really hard to come to a complete stop and turn the key to the off position.i then have to restart the vehicle.i am very concerned about driving on the freeway and having passengers in my vehicle.i have taken it to the dealer twice for this problem and since they cannot re-create the incident, they cannot explain why it happens.there have been no modifications or repair attempts made.i found a similar recall online chrysler recall number l02, but when i called dodge/chrysler, i was informed that my vehicle had not been recalled for this reason, although others the same year and model have been recalled.i was advised by a person at dodge/chrysler to take my vehicle to the dealership with a copy of this article to see if they can figure out what the problem is.i am taking the vehicle tomorrow.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the cruise control engaged automatically and caused the vehicle to accelerate to higher speeds. The contact immediately depressed the brakes and the cruise control disengaged, slowing the vehicle down. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis where they advised him that the aftermarket floor mats caused the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred on an intermittent basis. The manufacturer was later contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 51,500. The current mileage was approximately 51,900...updated 01/16/2013updated01/25/2013

After jim riehl's friendly chryslerin warren michigan replaced my tipm module for a faulty light problem my van would not decelerate when i took my foot off the accelerator pedal.thank god it slowed down when i applied the brakes.there are other fault lights on the instrument cluster and i am going back to the dealer to seek a resolution.it was 3am and raining to make matters worse. What were they thinking releasing a defective van back on the roads?

Since we had the electrical recall 11v139000. We have 3 problems since the recall. . first. The radio would not work and not turn off. It was just stuck on the "accept display. The dealer fixed that and said that it was related to the recall. This past week we had two failures. The first failure, the wipers would not turn off, heated seats did not work, turn signals didn't work and the steering wheel controls didn't respond. The dealer fixed that and said that there was moisture in the heated seats element.last night, theradio and the steering wheel controls stopped responding we have to bring the van in again today. Two malfunctions in less than a week not good.

The contact owns a 2010 dodge caravan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 mph, he smelled a burning odor and noticed smoke emitting from the rear window power switch. There were no visible flames. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who stated that the rear window power switch would need to be replaced. The mechanic disabled and removed the power window switch. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 69,795.

While driving in snow in st louis mo there was smoke started to come from the window switch for the rear windows we have 4 of the 2010 dodge caravan in our fleet and 2 of them have now have smoked or got on fire due to the switch for the window i have looked at the switch and the switch is melted and the wires are melted smoke pore out from all points on the door on one van and the or the van that was fixed a few months ago did it again and this time fire broke out on the door.

Valve stem lock nut corrosion caused stem to fall inside tire. Caused instant flat at 65 mph. Almost lost control. Again today another stem fell inside tire. Going slower 35 mph. Both times it also destroyed tires.

While driving on i-90 tpms indicator came on. Within seconds right rear tire was flat, when i looked at the wheel i saw the valve stem was gone. There was no other damage to tire.
