1998, gmc, suburban, replacement battery leaks onto right front wheel brake hose, corroding the fitting.dealer has been notified. Consumer stated this is the second battery that has failed.

Consumer noticed acid on garage floor, checked under hood, and notice acid leaking from battery.
The mechanic was twisting the positive cable onto the battery post. The whole post twisted and caused the battery acid to leak onto the battery plate and onto some electrical wiring. Dealer was notified.
The positive terminal post separated from the casing of the battery (delco freedom, model nr. 78 6yr).*jg
