We have an iota ts-50r relay transfer switch unit in our 2007 damon daybreak 3274 motor home, purchase used from a dealer in april 2019 with 11,800 miles. It recently started over heating and malfunctions. After extensive research, many motorhome models mfg by various sources have recalled the unit and/or consumershave reported having same issues with fire hazard. I have spoken with the previous owner; an elderly gentlemanwho very rarely used the motorhome.thor acquired damon via merge and currently has a recall on the iota its-50r but only includes newer models with the same relay transfer switch. Googling produced many forums with content exact to our issue, some with meltdowns, some with fires. Iota engineering has yet to issue a recall, despite these life threatening safety issues.
Stationary: equipped with an iota its-50r, transfer switch is experiencing failure and heats. Bypassing the delay causes the switch to work when it otherwise won't.there is a recall on the iota its 50r issues by thor and the 2007 damon daybreak is not a currently included product line - but should be.
This year on our annual family vacation we had 2 tire failures, one occurred traveling down the highway and was the inner rear tire drivers side of the rear dual wheels.the other failure occurred after the rv had been parked for 20 minutes in my driveway.the tire exploded after the rv had been parked for over 20 minutes.upon inspection of the tire failure it was a inner sidewall (engine facing) blowout at the 11:00 o'clock position.i have contacted goodyear about the failure and they have referred me to a service center for the tire to be inspected.the tire size is 245/70r/19.5this failure is in its native state since the explosion.it would be in the national highway transportation safety administration interest to have this particular asset in tact.
