While driving approximately 65 mph (designated speed limit) hwy 99 northbound in manteca ca, my husband and child were in a vehilce accident. A wheel came off a fifth wheel flat bed trailer, the wheel (rim and tire) hit the bumper of the car, landed on the hood, and then smashed through the window. The airbags did not deploy. Glass was thrown throughout the car.

I, jorge cruz received the safety recall notice regarding my daewoo leganza which stated that there could be a problem with the (cmp) sensor and thereby i had to take it to get it serviced. I went to the official website of daewoo motor (usa) and the service center to which it sent me to had gone out of business. I was told to file a complaint online after calling the number from the previously mentioned service center. In the end my car has still not gotten any service and i like to know what i could do in this case.

Consumer received a recall notice(0v4357000) camshaft position sensor ::::::::::dealer was not in operation.

Dt*:the contact stated there was a smell of burning wire in the vehicle.the smell was emitting from vents inside the vehicle.there is a nhtsa recall, # 04v357000 on the vehicle regarding the engine and engine cooling.the parts needed to repair the vehicle are not available at the local dealership.the manufacturer confirmed the parts are not available.also, when the vehicle is in the park position the shifter will lock up.the parts are also unavailable for the park shifter problem.

The consumer took her 1999 daewoo leganza to have recall work done on the cmp sensor.the dealer refused to honor the recall.

Dt*: the contact stated, the service dealers listed on the manufacturer's web sight, have not been willing to remedy recall #04v357000. One dealer stated service was not available at their location. The second dealer has not responded to multiple calls and messages. The vehicle has not passed the vehicle emissions inspection in the state of residence due to this defect.

Camshaft sensor malfunction leadingto a short circuit melting the cover valve and damage some of the wires on the engine.

Consumer received a recall notice(0v4357000) for the camshaft position sensor.there was no dealer available to perform the recall.

Dt*:the contact stated while driving 50 mph white smoke was noticed coming from the tailpipe and the vehicle stalled.it was towed to a dealer who determined the head gasket needed to be replaced.

Consumer complaint concerning the daewoo leganza camshaft position sensor.the consumer received a recall not about the camshaft position sensor.the consumer made an appointment to have the daewoo leganza inspected.the consumer was told by the manager that the problem was indeed a result of the malfunctioning camshaft position sensor but that the vehicle was not included in the recall due to vin.the consumer contacted the manufacturer and let a message but has not received a response.the consumer paid for the repair.

While driving 65 mph a burning smell began to fill the passenger compartment and a "rumbling" sound from under the hood. As a result the engine failed. The cause has yet to be determined. Please provide additional information.
