Saturday 11/13 i was involved in an accident in which i sustained burns on my face and inside my mouth due to the emission of the powder contained in the airbags in a 2002 daewoo leganza air bag.i am missing work and am filing a complaint with the wi attorney general.this powder used in air bags, should not be harmful to people.this air bag, either had a hole in it or burst when it opened.
The contact owns a 2002 daewoo lanos.the contact drove into a ditch on the front driver side of the vehicle.the contact's head struck and cracked the windshield.the air bags failed to deploy.
Dt*: the contact stated smoke was observed coming from the engine and the check engine light illuminated.there are two nhtsa recalls # 04v357000 and 04v394000 concerning the engine and engine cooling.although a recall letter was received, the part is not included in the recall.
Consumer received a recall notice(0v4357000) for the camshaft position sensor.dealer was not in operation.
Dt: 2002 daewoo leganza.while driving, thefuel gauge started to lower, and the car lost power andcaught on fire. The consumer was able to get out of the car without harm.she called the fire department, they came and put the fire out.the fire was in the rear or underneath the car, the trunk was destroyed, and fire traveled to the interior.the fire was put out before it engulfed the engine department.the car was towed to a junk yard. A police and fire reports werefiled.the consumer had recall repair work done on december 02, 2004,the repair was done on cam shaft position sensor.
Daewoo lanos 2002, timing belt broke.the consumer stated the timing belt failed again on jan 20, 2005 a 86,000 miles.
Dt*: the contact stated after receiving a recall, nhtsa campaign id# 04v357000; engine and engine cooling, an appointment was made with the dealership to have the recall repair completed.the check engine light was illuminated, but there were no other problems with the vehicle.after the contact paid someone to drive the vehicle to the dealership, the dealership informed the driver the recall could not be performed due to lack of time.
2002 dodge caravan - air conditioner constantly leaks water in passenger side wheel well.never able to be fixed.air compressor had to be replaced june 2006 - not covered under warranty.
The consumer received a recall notice(02v257001) regarding the brake hose. There was no dealership available to perform the recall.
