Dt*: the contact stated the wiring harness can be damaged if rubbed against a body seam in the floor panel.also, the air bag light illuminated.there are nhtsa recalls, # 01v020000 and 02v131001, regarding the electrical system wiring and air bags. The vin was not included in the recalls.

The consumer received a recall notice (02v13002) for the air bag.dealer was not in operation.

I was in a car accident where the air bag didn't deploy, and the seat belt did not catch ,throwing me into the steering wheel.

Dt*:the contact stated that the vehicle was involved in a crash while driving at 35 mph.the vehicle t-boned another vehicle in an intersection, and the air bags did not deploy.the police were called, and a report was filed.the contact sustained head, neck and back injuries in the accident.there were no mechanics consulted for the air bag failure.updated 7/21/2006 -

To who may concern:i am car technician working at a daewoo dealer. Daewoo has a recall about inspecting and replacing the camshaft sensor. Only a few sensors have to be replaced on this recall (we need to check the serial number on the sensors to see if it has to be recalled)but in almost all cars i inspect, the sensor is bad, set a code for the sensor and the check engine light is on, now i have to tell the customer they need a sensor and the cost has to be paid by the customer,i think it is really unfair for the customer to bring the car for a recall, and they have to pay.recall number 04v357000.

Dt*: the contact stated that the camshift position censor was not working properly.the check engine light was blinking on a daily basis for over one month.the manual stated the check engine light referred to the camshift censor position. A recall letter, #04v357000,was received for the camshift censor position. When the vehicle wastaken to a dealer to service the recall, the dealer determined the recall did not applybecause the camshaft position censor was not a part of the recall, even though the vin# was listed as part of the recall. The dealer confirmed the problem could be fix for a fee.

Dt*:the contact stated a recall letter was received and the dealer determined the part was not included in the recall.the nhtsa recall # 04v357000 concerning the engine and engine cooling.the contact's vehicle was not having any of the problems indicated in the recall.the manufacturer has been alerted.

Dt*: the contact stated while driving65 mph on the interstate, there was a smell of burning wires. When the vehicle was taken to a service dealer, the recall #04v357000remedy was denied due to the lot number of the camshaft sensor not being included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified however the contact has not receiveda return call.

The consumer received a recall letter for the camshaft sensor, took the vehicle in for service and was told by the dealer that her vehicle was not included.the consumer spoke with the daewoo service center and they told her it was.nhtsa recall 04v357000.vehicle engine light came on.*tc

Dt*:the contact stated while the engine was started, the check engine light illuminated without incident.the dealer and manufacturer were contacted and agreed the vehicle was included in nhtsa recall, # 04v357000, concerning the engine.however, area dealerships refused to repair the vehicle without charge.

Consumer could not find a dealership repair shop to repair recall 04v357000concerning cam shaft position sensor free of charge.

Dt*: the contact stated the parts for the camshaft sensor is not available at the dealer. The manufacturer sent a second notice of the recall.

Recall campaign:the vehicle camshaft position sensor (cmp) failed prior to recall notification.

My camshaft position sensor has gone bad.there was a safety recall on this part but my part does not fall into the lot number deemed defective.the car only has 35,000 miles on it so the part must be defective.the sensor's manufacturer should recall a broader range of lot numbers.

Dt: the contact stated that a daewoo recall #04v394000was received three weeks ago and 9 messages have been left at the daewoo phone number listed on the recall letter but there have been no return calls. The recall letter detailed a consequence of the recall; wires may melt and fuse together resulting in a safety hazard. The check engine light also began illuminating intermittently immediately after the recall letter was recieved. The contact expressed concerns of inability to locate a dealer to perform therecall remedy repair.

Consumer had to pay for recall repairs on there 2000 daewoo lanos. The consumer stated the camshaft sensor was suppose to have replaced at no charge.

The dealer determined that the cam shaft sensor part number does not fall within the required numbers for the recall and would not perform the recall remedy.the vehicle was taken to have an inspection performed and was informed the vehicle would not pass inspection because the cam shaft position sensor input was too low. Dt*: the contact stated the check engine light illuminated while driving on the interstate at 60 mph in clear dry weather.the vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop where all fluid levels were checked but could not identify the problem. The contact received a recall letter regarding nhtsa recall #04v357000; engine and engine cooling and scheduled for the repair.after inspection of the camshaft sensor, the service dealer determined there was nothing wrong with the camshaft sensor.when called later, the service dealer could not remember the lot number of the camshaft sensor on the vehicle. The manufacturer was not contacted.

I replaced the cam shaft sensor a few months ago, and now found that their is a recall. I would like to get reimbursements for the cost of the repair.

Dt: the contactreceived a recall notice on the camshaft position sensor in september 2004. Had not had any problems with the car.he did not have the recallrepair work done. Now ,the engine check light came on. The dealership to whom he took the car to in october 2005, stated that the parts do not match the ones that were subject to the recall of last year. The manufacturer was called, and they said that they were not going to fix the recall. Updated 11/16/2005 - when the diagnostic were ran on the vehicle the dtc came up p0342 for the camshaft position sensor.the consumer explained that this code was the same as the one on the recall notice.

Car became unreliable at 3 years old. Started bucking and stalling in traffic and would not start again after that. Eventually car died due to this problem and was un-repairable sans mechanic. Found out later that car was recalled for part to be fixed after car had already died. Still owed payments on car and has loss of transportation.

There is a hard shift from 1st2nd gear.it happens on periodically on my 2k daewoo lanos.i had it into the dealer twice.they say there are no stored codes.i don't know how to cause it to happen.
