Cpsc: i1380372a. 2013 shadow cruiser. Consumer stated she was having multiple problems with the trailer. *lnthe consumer stated the slide out malfunctioned. It did not properly retract, when it was pulled in. The kitchen countertops and cutting board were warped after one use, the left front driver's stabilizer jack was bent. There was a propane leak on the driver's side and the tank mount bolt was broken and rusted. The rail system was showing signs of heavy damage from being improperly installed. There was a horrible noise, when the slide was retracted. Upon investigation, the wires and a rubber covering were tangled in the gears and the tail system. The consumer discovered the axles/tires were the wrong size for the coach. The coach flooded.
The contact owns a 2013 cruiser rv 280qbs. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, another driver noticed that the propane fuel line detached from the trailer. The fuel line was seen dragging from the rear of the vehicle. The contact pulled over and tied the fuel line back onto the vehicle. Propane was leaking from the line. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that they had never received any complaints similar to the contact's. The failure and the current mileage was 1,000. Updated 8/31/12 the consumer stated the dealer was notified. The vehicle was repaired by the manufacturer at their factory. List of issues reported to pierce rv june 17, 2013: 1.oven will not stay lit. 2.outdoor kitchen countertops still not repaired. 3.left front stabilizer jack not repaired. 4.slide out still does not work properly 5.no keys for outdoor kitchen. 6.mirror opposite of tv stand is extremely crooked. 7.outdoor kitchen gray water drain hose was not properly attached and resulted in major flooding june17, 2013, we dropped off our coach for repair. Aug2, 2013, we picked up our coach after 34 business days aug4, 2013, we dropped off our coach for repair again. 1.the slide was hitting the gutter.2.we discovered a propane leak on the drivers side and the tank mount bolt was broken and rusted. 3.service department let us know our coach had been repaired and was ready for pick up a few days later.tobin saw daylight on the edges of the slide; so we left our coach for repair. Aug15, 2013, propane leak found.wrong hoses had been replaced.aug17, 2013 --1.the slide not working properly--wires/rubber covering were tangled in the gears and rail system.2.daylight shines through the top of the slide when fully extended.3.coach flooded with gray water.4.we found the axles/tires on our coach are for as-260bhs. Our coach s-280qbs should have:gvwr: 7,530 lbs /gawr (each) axle: 4,870 lbs (2x axles)= 9,740 lbs. What is actually on our coach: gawr (each) axle: 3,500 lbs (2x axles)= 7,000 lbs total weight = gawr deficit= 2,740 lbs max load for each tire = 1,760 lbs (4x) = 7,040 lbs= max tire load deficit= 490 lbs (at dry weight)aug 20, 2013, 71 business days later,issues are still unresolved.
