I purchased used a 40' class a motorhome from dealer in tuscon, az.. Before picking it up, i inquired from the service manager the date of the tires manufacture. The tires were 8 years old. I asked that he replace those old 12r22.5 tires with new tires at my expense.when i picked up the coach in tuscon from the dealer, i noticed that the tires installed were 11r22.5.i questioned the service manager about the size and he told me that michelin did not manufacture a 12r22.5 tire any more and that the 11r22.5 are the same weight rating(wrong). I bought that story.since then i had the tires checked by a tire company in my area and was informed those 11r22.5 tires were inadequate and should be changed to the correct size for my motorhome. I just finished a phone call to michelin tire(the new tires on my mh) and was told that i need to replace asap the smaller size tire for the correct size and tire load for this motorhome. My question is what recourse do i have to get these replaced by the dealer/ service center that i bought the motorhome from?any help would be much appreciated.sincerely, mike blurtonaloha.
