The contact owns a 2016 coachmen orion rv. The contact stated that the vehicle was stationary with the hazardous flashers activated a burning plastic type odor was suddenly present coming from the vehicle. Upon inspection it was discovered that a box under the cabinet that housed the electronics wiring for the exterior warning lights had overheated and melted causing a liquid substance to leak onto the floor of the rv. The cause of the failure was diagnosed as the fuse box needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were both notified regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000.
