Electrical system shorted out during travel due to faulty plumbing which leaked water to the electrical system shorting it out causing circuit breakers to trip and shutting down the battery disconnect circuitry. This also caused grey water to leak all over the freeway.
Electrical system failure complete due to faultyengineering and manufacturing process which can cause a fire resulting in possible fatalities on the interstate or in rv parks.
Dometic refrigerator model rm2852 was recalled on april 11, 2008 because of possibly starting a fire.i received a recall letter in the mail on july 31, 2008.why did it take so long to notify me?i have a disabled son who doesn't know danger, such as fire.i have used my motorhome many times this year.this could have been avoided.these recalls which could start a fire should be told to us consumers faster than this was.this does not make me want another motorhome with dometic products.i would like to know who is responsible for this. While driving down the interstate the spare tire detached from the carrier assembly and fell to the road service. Also broke electrical plug in connection and chewed up the brand new spare tire, which is no longer usable. Safety chain is the only thing that prevented a rear end accident.
