A cell in the battery shorted and the cap to that cell melted off. I was very concerned that the battery would explode or leak acid onto the rest of the motorcycle. I'm not sure if this happened during one of my rides, but i did notice it during a pre-ride inspection. The dealer was kind enough to send a replacement lithium battery.
While riding my motorcycle, the clutch cable snapped. I was able to bring my motorcycle onto the shoulder before coming to a violent jerking stop.
While riding my motorcycle, the shift lever broke in two. I was able to get the motorcycle safely off the road and recover the part that was on the road. Upon inspection, i found that the lever had broken at a welded area. Underneath the welds was rust. This makes me concerned that any of the welds on the motorcycle can have rust underneath them, especially on a motorcycle that is less than a year old.
