The contact owns a 2001 chrysler voyager. When operating the vehicle, the horn would occasionally stop working and eventually stopped operating permanently. In addition, the air bag sensor intermittently illuminated while operating the vehicle. The sensor permanently remained illuminated after starting the vehicle. The cause of the failures was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The horn and cruise control stopped working and the airbag light came on. It would not pass inspection. It happend while in motion and stationary. They said that theclock spring was broken and needed to be replaced. There is a recall on the 1996-1998 models for the broken clockspring but not the 2001.i see lots of comments that this is an issue beyond those model years included in the recall.they need to extend the recall beyond 1998 since this is an issue with more than those 2 years!

Intermittently when making a hard right or left turn the air bag warning light came on, but would immediately go off.this condition got worse as time progressed.at 35,000 milesair bag light came on but failed to go off.dealership indicated that thespring in thedriver's side air bag needed to be replaced.consumer noted the air bag clockspring should be recalled and repaired*ph

Around end off 2013 my airbag lights off and on ,when driving the airbag lights went off, then came back on. On 2014 i took the vehicle to the mechanic shop and replace the parts inside the steering airbag timer clock. At present mileage 88,000. Hardly drive, garage kept. Please tell me what should i do or any sensor link to the airbag lights.

Please advise as to proper steps to reslove thia problem. No afety defect listed.

Airbag light comes on intermittently.dealer stated part was on backorder.

I purchased my 2001 chrysler voyager in august of 2001, by september i had it back to chrysler because the airbag light was on.they fixed it (clockspring) after 3 months, problem re-occurred.i have been involved in 2 accidents in this car, the airbags never deployed. The airbag light has been serviced by chrysler 3 times, it is still on to this day.i know that the airbags will not deploy when the light is on, and that previous years models were recalled.i have contacted chrysler corporate, to no avail, as a matter of fact, the person i spoke to "blacklisted" me and told me not to call back, that she put my name down in the records and hung up on me.i have 3 kids and i feel like i am jeopardizing all of us because of incompetence and neglect on the part of chrysler.

The air bag light illuminated intermittently when making turns while driving. Dealer was notified. Please provide any further information.

The air bag light in the consumer's chrysler voyager 2001 illuminated at different times but especially during turns.the consumer heard of a recall and contacted the local dealer.the dealer checked the vehicle and determined that the vehicle had a faulty clock spring but the vehicle was not included in the recall.

I have a 2001 chrysler voyager minivan and the company did a recall for the 1998-2000 for problems with the air bags not deploying. The light for the air bag will come on because there is a malfunction with the system. The air bag light in the consumer's chrysler voyager 2001 illuminated at different times but especially during turns.dealer checked the vehicle and determined that the vehicle had a faulty clock spring but the vehicle was not included in the recall.

Air bag light came on intermittently for a few weeks now stays on more often than notfailure could mean death for me, my wife and my childrenwe are bring the vehicle in to have the problem fixed our mechanic says he has seen the problem before it is the clock spring.

The contact owns a 2001 chrysler voyager. While the contact was driving approximately 70 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel and remained illuminated until the engine was turned off. The failure would occur whenever the engine was in operation. The manufacturer issued a voluntary recall pertaining to the clock spring for vehicle model years 1998-2000. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the malfunction. The approximate failure mileage was 177,000.

Airbag restraint light keeps coming on on dash and window won't go down on drivers side. The window will not work most of the time and the airbag warning light comes on when turning left.

The contact owns a 2001 chrysler voyager. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. While making a turn into a parking lot another vehicle front end went underneath his vehicle and pushed it into fifthwheel. Vehicle rolled over twice, but airbags didn't deploy.

Chrysler 2001 voyager:68k milesairbag warning light illuminated.approximately 10 nov 06, airbag alert light came on, intermittently.by 10 dec 06, light is on constantly.operation of steering wheel, seems to trigger event.from internet reading, it is easy to see that the clockspring is defective.this problem was highlighted in nhtsa recall notice of 02v293000, which doesn't cover my vehicle year.evidently, it takes time for the failure mechanism to expose its self.i am requesting that the nhtsa extend the recall to more recent years, as chrysler has not done anything to correct the problem, while passing the cost of repair of the defective part (safety related) to the customer.

The clock spring sensor failed without warning.as a result the airbag light stayed on.the consumer was concerned that the air bag may not deploy in the event of an accident. *sc the consumer stated this was the second repair on the clock spring.

I have a 2001 chrysler voyager minivan and the company did a recall for the 1998-2000 for problems with the air bags not deploying.the light for the air bag will come on because there is a malfunction with the system.if the light is on the bag will not deploy if you are in an accident.i think that the company should have to fix because our vehicle is having the same problem as the years that they recalled.

Daughter, friend and her 22 mo. Old daughter were about to leave the mall parking lot when the passenger side air bag deployed.although there were no physical injuries, they were obviously shaken by the experience. Heard on abc news about chrysler recall on other models for similar problem. Then went to internet to get more information.

My air bag light go on and off all the time.i am afraid the bag will come out at any time or may not come out when i really need it(like in an accident).i have never need it yet, but who know what the future holds.the light also get on my nerves.

Air bag sensor light kept turning on especially during any turn. Dealer replaced defective clock spring. Says that this was a recall item for 1998-2000 voyagers but not 2001. Called chrysler and they refused to negotiate. I think it is shameful that chrysler knows it has a problem based on previous years models but forces consumer to pay for repair.

Occurs a several times per week especially in mornings before vehicle is warmed up.

While driving at night, the headlights shut off for a short period of time and then came back on.this continued to happen while driving.the dealer made repairs to the electrical control module . *nlm the dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. *sc

My van was operating and serviced as normal.suddenly one day there was a squealing noise nad the air conditioning would not work.i took it to park jeep/chrysler in burnsville, mn (952-808-2442) and was informed by kevin the service tech that the compresser had failed and that the repair would be over $700.00.i have not authorized the repair yet, but i seem to have no choice.he told me that even though there was a service bulletin, it would not be covered.

I was driving down the road with my two children and my car stalled. Completely shut down, and i called my husband took the van to the dealership and they ran test on the computer and they said we needed a new pcm so we bought one and guess what it still does not work 6 months later. We took it to a mechanic near by and he said he thinks its the fuel pump but as much money as we have already spent i am scared to buy something else for this van and it not work. If you crank the car up you can only drive about 15 minutes and it will cut off for several hours and then you can drive again for another 15 minutes.

Chrysler voyager 2001.the metal frame inside of the upholstery of the back of the driver's seat back broke.*scas a result the seat copllapsed backwards and the driver ended up in the second row seat while the vehicle was in gear.

Although there has not been an accident, there is a certain amount of acceptable replacement time before pads should be changed.i have had to replace these just about every three months.the rotors have been done at the same time.normally i would say that the repair shop was taking advantage of me, but this has been done with more than just a second opinion and a mechanic for a father in law. This is unacceptable and i know im not the only consumer that is in this situation.pads should not be replaced that often especially with most of the mileage coming from highway use rather than city use.

When applying brakes vehicle had a jerking movement.brake drums have warped.

When turning ,the steering wheel shuddered as if it was going to separate from the frame.this was caused by the power steering hose collapsing inside the assembly.tsb 10003546 on this issue; the dealership replaced the hose.*scc

The contact owns a 2001 chrysler voyager. While driving approximately 2 mph, the contact heard a squeaking noise in the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for a diagnostic test. There was a recall under nhtsa campaign id number 01v152000 (suspension:front:control arm:lower arm), that may be related to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vin was not included in the recall. The contact stated that the date and location where the vehicle was manufactured matched the information of the included vehicles in the recall. The contact believed the vehicle should have been included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000.

I first noticed the sound, and the feeling in the steering wheel when i drove the car home from the dealer after purchase. It seems to come from the left front and is severe when hitting the smallest bumps. I believe it to be a suspension or steering problem and am concerned about it being unsafe and causing premature tire wear. The dealer kept the minivan for 2 days and said the factory was unable to tell them how to repair this. I also believe others have this same problem. I can't believe the factory cannot figure out how to solve this annoying and potentially unsafe problem.

When braking on flat surface and no warning vehicle will pull to the right, and it is hard for consumer to keep control of the vehicle. Dealer notified.

I bought the above mentioned brand new chrysler voyager lx '02 minivan on the christmas eve, 2001. I did not drive muchat at the begining but after 5/6 months when i made a interstate trip to ct, iwas shocked and narrowly escaped a serious accident by "an immage of a spinning disclike staff appeared on windshield at passanger side". Since then i realized that there was very visible immage/reflection of a spinning disk on wind shield.i immediately contacted daimlerchrysler and the dealer (major chrysler plymouth jeep eagle, ny). They inspected and confirmed/certified my claim. Then they decided to replace the windshield. After changing the wind shield the problem still remain the same. The dealer finally said that nothing much they could help. Back and forth for 4 months i just reported diamlerchrysler that the dealer could not help further and now the issue was with them. Either they should resolve the issue with me as soonest or i will take appropriateaction. This is seriuos safety hazard, when driving with full permissible speed the immage is damaging. Threrefore, i can not drive the vehicle safely. It is a nightmare for me. That immage detoriate the hazard on sunny day. As i understand, not all vehicles of that batch/model are not with this defect (diamlerchrysler/major mentioned) but this particular vehicle is. It is not fair, after spending over $27000 i have to live with fare and discomfort for this vehicle. It is also noted that the vehicle came with it's regular 1 year full and 3 years limited warranty. I demand full refund or replace with a similar safe vehicle.

While driving on the interstate a golf ball size piece of debris fell off a truck and hit the windshield on the passenger side. Consumer noticed slivers of glass on the passenger seat.

2001 chrysler voyager windshield: the windshield cracked in a u-shaped pattern centered over the mid-dash defroster vent. The defroster had been turned on (full fan speed, full temperature setting, defroster only setting) for approximately 10 minutes, the car was up to normal operating temperature. Outside temperature was approximate 20 degrees fahrenheit. Vehicle had been parked outside all day under these conditions. Later cold soak and warm up under similar conditions, buckling sounds emanated from windshield as defroster was applied and crack lines grew in length. Appears outside layer of windshield assembly cracked while inside layer remained intact. No evidence of an impact either outside or inside. No known impact was experienced. *la

While driving 50 mph on the highway, rocks fell from the bed of a truck,a rock hit the consumer's windshield.the glass on the inside of the vehicle shattered, and landed and the passenger seat.

Problem with tires deflating noted after three years. Problem was with the chrome plated wheels that came with the top of the range grand voyager. It transpired to be corrosion of the valve seat, with air escaping around the valve. In the end needed to pump up the tires each day. Manufacturer contacted several times but they said there was nothing they would do because it was out of warranty, and that the manufacturers extended warranty did not cover wheels. They were not even concerned about the safety issue i raised.
