While driving my 2007 chrysler town and county van at a normal highway speed, a red light came on that indicated that the airbag system was deactivated.i took it to a chrysler dealer who charged me $160 to fix the problem.when i had gone 3 miles the light came back on.i then took it to the dodge dealer where i had purchased the van.they did a better diagnostic test and said they could fix it but they would need to order the failed part, which was an air bladder sensor that cost $1300.they asked me to pay in advance which i did, about a month later they said the part was in.i brought the van in, they told me they made a mistake, the part would be in next month.thisnext month, next month routine has been going on now for close to two years. During this time the light is intermittently on and off. I have involved, the service manager, the regional parts manager and chrysler customer care. The dodge people have been friendly and helpful but unable to solve the problem.after a year chrysler reimbursed me 95% of my cost for the part which never arrived, they closed the case as solved.the problem was never fixed and the van is still unsafe.i have spoken to many mechanics about this and they have told this is a serious safety issue that chrysler should fix it for free.chrysler has reassigned a new customer care person who tells me the part will be available next month and next month and hint at a cost near $3000. I have spoken to other owners of chrysler cars and they too have had issues with the airbag light.their problems were less involved than mine but i suspect that some of the systems were just deactivated.i wonder how many chrysler vehicles are unsafe to drive due to faulty air bag systems.i have alerted my attorney that if i am in an accident and the airbags do not deploy and i am injured or killed to sue chrysler and tell the media.

The van has some kind of electrical problem and when we had it tested it said that it was the radiator fan and some kind of sensor

Right electrically operated passenger window failed to operate.

Power sliding doors do not function properly.they don't open most of the time and when they do they are unpredictable opening some and then closing all of a sudden.

This is a frequently recurring issue with this vehicle. Ever since purchase, the vehicle will stall or almost stall from a stop or very low speed acceleration within minutes or less than five miles of refueling. After about 3 to 5 seconds of cranking, the engine will restart.. This condition does not appear to be affected by weather or temperature at the time of incident.i take care to stop the refueling process immediately when the nozzle at the pump clicks shut. The concern is that this stalling occurs normally at an intersection and i fear at some point, there will be acollision. The vehicle has been well maintained and i have all service records since purchased in 2009. The current mileage is 105,000.

Automatic climate control 2007 chrysler town & country, system has never functioned properly sense we took delivery ofour automobile feb. 2007.

Dealer sold the vehicle that was under warranty w/out floor jack. Called dealer and they wanted to charge me for it, complained to chrysler and they said dealer should call me and provide me with the floor jack. To this date nothing. Called chrysler 2 times. Noticed floor jack missing when tire blew out on the freeway .

The a/c grommet is leaking at the firewall and causing the passenger side of the van to become wet while the a/c is on. If the a/c is ran long enough the drivers side also becomes wet. I know there is a recall on these starting from the manufacturing date of february 2007 and going until june or july 2008. My van was manufactured in january 2007. I believe that my van should be added to the recall since it is doing the same thing. Please help us.

When turning on the right turn signal to make a turn our 2007 chryslertown & country with 20,00 miles but out of warranty because itis 38 months in service, the left turn indicator flasher on as you start the turn , which has causeda near miss as other driversdo not know if its a rightturn or left turn this is a safety issue and chrysler should be forced to recall all 2006 2007 chrysler to replaced the defective components to correct this problem.

The e-vap system not working after engine was replacedno air conditioning ,replaced egr vavle

The vehicle often stalls after filling up with gas within 1 to 2 miles after departing gas station (dangerous in traffic)!i heard this is happening on many other chrysler products that have been recalled for 2006.however it is also happening on my 2007 town & country.

Both driver & passenger interior overhead light bulbs (come on when doors are opened or when activated by depressing light cover) melted their plastic retaining sockets and burned the electrical contacts.the pass side bulb shattered but was retained by the cover. Both lights are inoperative and a replacement bulb can't be inserted since the sockets are now deformed and the electrical contacts have been burned through.the fuse protecting that circuit did not blow and is still functioning.

I have owned a 2007 town and county from new. Yesterday for the 6th time when i turned the vehicle off the left hand sliding door opened by itself. I called chrysler some time back about this and they had no history of this happening. The vehicle has about 36,000 miles on it. We use the vehicle primarily for traveling and with our dogs. Can you imagine what could happen if i pulled into a rest area and the door opened by itself!!!

2007 chrysler town and country minivan sliding door lock fails to open with power button or keyless fob.this requires a manual intervention to unlock the door and then manually open the door.this is a safety issue in case of emergency which would hamper immediate egress.web sites suggest to reset the iod fuse or change out an expensive bcm.however, this only treats the symptom.there are no recalls or chrysler help to identify or fix the root cause, not just the proximal cause.i have small children and believe this could be life threatening if the power/keyless locks fail to open during a traumatic event requiring immediate egress.this issue is found hundreds of times on the internet going back to 2004, but with no fix after 6 years?thank you for addressing this critical issue.this has been an issue for several months.searching recalls .gov failed to locate any other issues.

Need to have the transmission rebuilt at 53,000 miles on our 2007 chrysler town & country. Transmission should not go after 53,000 miles . I could understand if i had 100,000 miles or more. Just cheap materials used to save money, the metal shavings were found when we had the transmission fluid changed before we took a long trip out of the country, to canada. The repair shop notice a problem and warned us to not wait to long to fix the problem. Upon fixing the transmission they also found pieces of metal from possibly the gears were breaking up or the housing that holds the needle bearings cracked and was adding to the problem. We contacted chrysler corp. About the problem , but all they would do is, nothing, because we did not purchase a extended warranty. Their warranty web site stated that 2007 models purchased after july of 2007, that they were giving a lifetime warranty on the power train. Sounds to me , they either found out about the problem , or some other reason. Nevertheless, the material use was inadequate, processes such as hardening of the gears, were wrong, but yet passed inspection. I could have been in serious accident if the metal shavings, or metal pieces got in between the teeth of the gear traveling at highway speeds. It cost me about $3,500.00 to fix the transmission. I sent a letter to chrysler corp. Explaining the problem, with copies of the repair work done plus rental car that was needed for a week.some my have an extended warranty so, they did not complain. I fell chrysler should reimburse me for this.

I have a 2007 chrysler town and country van with 20,000 miles on it.i have had the following transmissions problems with it. Transmission problems with 2007 chrysler town and country van.i have had it to the dealer three time so far for erratic shifting and had shifting at low speeds and other transmission problems.after the last time i had it in and the tech flashed the transmission module it took about a month of in-town driving until it started doing the same thing as before. Along with this the following things have started to happen:1. Loud noise and jerk while moving vehicle from park to drive or reverse.2. Low speed up and down shifting from first to second gear while in parking lots or under 15 miles and hour..3. After placing the transmission in reverse there is a (metallic) clicking noise when you push on the accelerator.4. When you place the vehicle in reverse there is a whirring sound before the car goes into gear.5. When you accelerate from a stop to highway speeds there is a hard shift from first to second and the after that when the vehicle shift into the third gear there is a shudder or slipping feeling.6. On occasion when pulling up to a stop light or stop sigh the vehicle will downshift when it completely stopped.i have been talking to the dealer and finally contacted chrysler about the problem.so far there has been nothing done except to flash the transmission per a service bulletin they had.

I started to hear a whining noise that occurred after i had been driving on the freeway in cold weather in mid-january, and i was approaching 40,000 miles on my minivan.the more driving, the louder the noise would get, and it was loudest when i was idling at a stop light, etc.pressing the gas would make it whine louder.now that the weather is warmer (50 degrees) i don't hear the noise anymore.i was told by my repair shop that they see this in a lot of caravans and town & country minivans.it's the power steering--the filter is not good and because of the way the reservoir and filter are housed, they need to replace everything, about $300.online i'm seeing a lot of other minivan owners with the same problem.

We have had numerous problems with the front end, driver's side of our 2007 chrysler town & country.we purchased the vehicle new.it is currently at the dealership again for noise in the front.we have had to have the stabilizer links and bushings replaced, the left side front strut replaced, the left hand outer tie rod replaced and they just called to say the bushings and stabilizer links need replaced again.we have also had problems with the air conditioning, actuators and brakes.chrysler has refused to assist with the tie rod (dealership called them) since we have had so many problems with it.dealership is currently calling them to see if they will assist with the bushings & stabilizer links.our van was in the shop one month ago with front end problems (they replaced the tie rod) and now this happens again.it is always the driver's side front end.it is an ongoing problem.

I purchased vehicle from a chrysler dealer in mobile, al in november 2014,did,nt really use the a/c until march 2015 and then there was a water build up on floor, i cleaned out drain tub but it still leaked water onto floor.

February 2011 - driver side electronic passenger door ceased to function. Chrysler service dept - wire harness needs replacing, motor worn. Wire harness unavailable for 2-3 weeks. June 2011 - four months later we are still waiting for the part - nationwide back order, 5 customers at our car place were waiting too. Van door extremely difficult to open/close manually - a danger to those trying to exit/enter the vehicle quickly/in an emergency. Forces our children to enter/exit on far side of vehicle where they're not visible. Chrysler says it is not a safety issue -- we disagree. We have been told that it will be yet another month before we get our part - in the meantime the other sliding door is now having problems opening.having a part on nation wide back order for 4+ months, with multiple people in a town having the same problem, and it being one that makes a safe and fast exit/entrance into the vehicle extremely difficult seems like a recall-able problem. We ask your assistance in gathering data in this regard so that hopefully chrysler will be held accountable and take more expedient care of the problem.

2007 chrysler town and country.while driving on a residential street at 30 mph, the rear window "exploded".there was no other car around, no other car passed me by that would have kicked something up from the roadway.there were no people, kids or animals in the area. Temperature was 29 degree's.the rear defogger was not turned on and the rear wiper was not on.there was a hole approx 12" x 6" on the upper left of the window - the rest of the glass was shattered.the glass fell into the van on the floor.there was no object (rock, ice, snowball) in the van.nothing could be seen on the road.the window was replaced at a cost of $358.27.this happened on 02/15/10.in august of 2008, this van was sitting in the driveway.we were inside and heard a loud "crash".the rear window had exploded leaving a large hole in the glass.there was no object in the van or on the ground around the van that could have caused it.the window was replaced. I called the dealer regarding this recent window and was told there were no reports or complaints like mine.i placed my problem on the edmunds forum and received a response from 1 person who claims their tail light enclosure explodes.his mechanic claims it is due to excessive vibration of the tailgate.

Right electrically operated passenger window failed to operate.
