Open air bags front driver face and knee plus front passengerair bag open at speed 0000 on hwy stop and go traffic

The chrysler town & country 2015 was in a accident on 5/16/2017 and the air bag inflated on the floor upon crash and caused serious life threatening injuries to the drivers legs caused her to be metevacted by helicopter to baltimore shock tramma center for a 11 day (+) stay and having to undergo many surgery on her legs.this air bag severly injured her legs and may lead to a amputation with one leg she is 91 years old and was still driving.now she may never drive again because of the air bag destroying her legs and she may never walk again thanks to this faulty defective airbag at the floor area;the vehicle was in motion when crashed.

My 2015 town and country chrysler minivan was parked in a hot garage in florida in the early morning, when i observed the front right side passenger's headrest to be opened and appearing to be forced forward.no accident or moving was involved.there was no activity that should have caused the headrest to deploy forward.i believe this is probably a headrest that is used for an anti whiplash device in case of an accident.without a doubt, this is a safety issue as accidental discharge of this headrest could cause serious injuries.no injuries took place.

Vehicle struck from behind and pushed into traffic sustaining rear, front and side collisions.only passenger side curtain airbag inflated, no other airbags inflated.also both driver and passenger seat backs failed resulting in fatal injuries to driver and serious injuries to passenger.the vehicle was stationary or just started moving when it was struck from behind on highway and pushed into other lanes of traffic.

When driving on the freeway in heavy traffic my headrest deployed and hit my head with such a force that my glasses fell down to the floor of the van. My eyesight is pretty bad and i had to continue driving on the freeway until the next exit with limited vision because i was unable to pick up the glasses from the floor while driving on the freeway. This was an extremely dangerous situation*dtmanufacturer and dealer have not been contacted.consumer is having neck pain and headaches as well as dizziness. *dtconsumer went to the doctor 3 times and was given pain medicine. Manufacturer was not contacted.*dt*dt*as

On july 10, 2018, at approximately 1:43 pm, i pulled into a parking space at the sam's club on youngerman circle in jacksonville, fl and put my 2015 chrysler town & country into park.i went in my pocket to pull out my shopping list and then heard a loud pop and felt something hit the back of my head.i exited my vehicle and looked to see that my headrest had basically exploded apart for no apparent reason.i contacted my local chrysler dodge dealership and they advised that this was not under warranty or recall.as it did not affect the drivability of my vehicle and i didn't have the money and didn't think i should have to pay for something that was not my fault, i did not get it replaced.

I noticed that at random times the airbag light would illuminate, even while there was no one in the seat. I called the dealership and took it in but because at the time it was not on, they said they could not do anything about it. Then after some time with the airbag light going on and off the cruise control will no longer work. It does not even recognize that you are pressing the button. Dealership was also notified in this case, and because my warranty expired at 60000 miles and the vehicle is at 67000 it is not covered. It does not matter if the vehicle speed, the airbag lights just go on and off. It does not always come on.

Air bags wentoff during a accident and we received cuts on my legs and also my wife's legs

The passenger headrest exploded while sitting in my garage and can not be fixed without visiting a dealership which looks to be a $700 - $900 charge.

Passenger headrest airbag/whiplash expand safety device.internal plastic bracket failed and caused the headrest to expand and cannot be reset. The vehicle was in the driveway and not moving when the headrest just loudly expanded, no one was setting in the seat.

We were in the van that the passenger front headrest just shot out and almost hit my wife in the head. Took to the dealer and found they wanted over 800 for a new headrest. I feel like this is a safety issue that should be addressed.

My vehicle was struck on the rear passenger door by another vehicle traveling roughly 45-50mph, my vehicle was traveling roughly 25-30mph on a city street. My vehicle sustained major damage, including the back window shattering and glass shards filling the car. None of the airbags deployed. As a result, i had cuts from glass, as well as a concussion.

Passenger headrest assembly randomly engaged some sort of "airbag" mode.two springs deployed the headrest forward rapidly

The contact owned a 2015 chrysler town and country. While idling at a stop sign, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. There was one injury that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed and was deemed destroyed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 88,000.

I was driving at 45 mph with my adult daughter in the passenger seat. She had her seat belt on and without any warning, collision or turning motion the passenger seat headrest exploded hitting her in the head. Because of the safety of my future passengers i secured an appointment at galeana chrysler dealership in fort myers, florida. On 3/11/20 i purchased a new headrest at a cost of $683.73 and had it installed on 3/25/20 for an additional cost of $155.28.at my original visit to the dealership on 3/11/20 i called the chrysler reimbursement center (talked to megan) and she said the cost would be paid by chrysler due to the safety issue. On 6/22/20 we received our rejection for reimbursement from moi a reimbursement specialist at chrysler. Our case numbers at chrysler were 75899352 and 76536023 . Two case numbers were assigned because they lost the first one.my first concern is the safety of my passengers and myself.this was not cosmetic but a safety issue that should be the responsibility of chrysler. Thanking you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

Driver seat got stuck in up position. Seat will not go down and peddles won't adjust. The air bag in the head rest discharged while sitting at a red light. Not very satisfied.388rks

My vehicle was parked in the driveway stationary, and as i walked to the vehicle to enter the car with my 2 young children and as we approached i heard a load pop noise.i found the ahr headrest had deployed, with no one touching or moving the vehicle.the vehicle has never been in an accident and the headrest has never been reset for any reason.the plastic joint mechanism and spring that holds it in and together cracked and broke.i called chrysler dealership and they will not fix or replace unless i pay out of pocket, approx $1000 for 1 headrest.the gentleman on the phone acknowledged that he knew of this happening often in chrysler t&c vans, however could not help me as my warranty is now up and there is not a recall.i am terrified to drive my van now, knowing that the drivers side headrest ahr may deploy at anytime no warning and cause injuries to me, which could cause me to crash my vehicle while driving endangering my children and family.i have ziptied both the passenger headrest and drivers head rest shut.the drivers headrest is ziptied in case it randomly deploys and the passengers is zip tied as the head rest internal plastic mechanisms are broken.

While driving on a city street, the front seat active head restraint released causing it to propel forward. Upon inspection, the pin which is latched holding the head restraint closed, was held by a plastic retainer which fatigued & failed.*dt

The drivers side active head restraint deployed while the vehicle was stationary waiting at a drive through.

Passenger side seat headrest deployed/exploded for no apparent reason while passenger was in seat.the vehicle was in motion, moving around 40 mph on smooth state/us highway with no change in speed and no collision.it just deployed on its own for no reason.

Passenger front headrest exploded while stationary. We were at a stop light, there was no accident or impact. It cannot be reset and needs to be replaced. I do not feel like we should have to pay out of pocket when this is a common issue and a safety issue.

The driver seat airbag in the headrest shot the headrest forward splitting it in two thereby rendering the airbag useless.

Fall 2017, our car was sitting in our driveway over night. The next morning we notice the passenger head rest had deployed with no cause to deploy. We were told by chrysler service employee that the head rest are known to deploy with no reason. This week our car was in our garage over night. The next morning we noticed the driver's side head rest deployed with no reason. We told chrysler customer service about our comcerns about safety and all they said was "your car is outside the 36,000 mile warranty and there is nothing we can do."

Airbag light will not go off, no other vehicle issues.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle hydroplaned and crashed into the intersection on the road. All the air bags failed to deploy. The contact also stated that the passenger side seat belt failed to lock. A police report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to stew's auto body and towing inc. (located at 276 w washington ave, washington, nj 07882; (908) 689-1993), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted at 800-334-9200 and stated that the angle of the impact determined that the air bags should not deploy. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided case number: 31944170. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000.

While riding in the passenger seat of my vehicle the ' headrest restraint system' inappropriately out of nowhere deployed while the vehicle was moving but was never in an accident. The headrest forcefully hit me in the neck and back of the head.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving approximately 15 mph, the preceding vehicle stopped abruptly. As a result, the contact crashed into a speed limit sign and the seat belt locked up. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was slightly damaged, but was drivable. The contact was able to unlatch the seat belt; however, the seat belt did not retract. The vehicle was takento the dealer (tate chrysler, glen burnie, md, 410-863-5530) where it was diagnosed that the seat belt needed to be replaced. Additionally, while driving with a front seat passenger to pick up the replacement seat belt, the front passenger seat belt was locked and the front passenger air bag indicator illuminated. The dealer was not contacted and the manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

Passenger side headrest exploded while driving (on a paved road in florida) for no reason. Could have been extremely bad or fatal if their was a passenger setting in the seat.

The lane detection system has corroded and no longer functions.i turned the system off but now a electrical short is being caused by the problem.this short causes the wipers to engage, the warning lights (multiple) to go off on the dash, and the speedometer no longer functions.the car has fewer than 70,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While operating the vehicle, the instrument panel and gauges suddenly turned off and on before the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (lasontaine chrysler in saline, mi) where it was diagnosed that the battery was faulty. The battery was not replaced. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the battery was operating normally, but the iod main fuse was faulty. The fuse was not replaced. Later, while driving approximately 25 mph, the engine indicator illuminated and the vehicle shook and vibrated. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 94,000.

I have started having problems with the drivers side heat not wanting to warm up while the passenger side still gets hot. After a while of letting the heat run on defrost you can turn the heat to the vents and the drivers side will be luke warm while the passenger is still hot.

1) the automatic transmission is jerking when it switches to another gear at speeds less than about 40 mph. 2) the back up camera stopped working right at 35,000 miles.

When using the vehicle push button start, it sometimes does not start when the key fob is in the vehicle.the engine stopped running on one occasion while my spouse was driving and she felt like she did not have any steering.my spouse feels that the key fob is losing connection to the vehicle.the engine stopped running on a city street while the vehicle was in motion.we took it to the chrysler dealership in manhattan, ks and they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle.their were no codes in the vehicle to indicate anything had occurred.

Cluster control panel went out then lights flashed on and multiple times withodometer and tachometer reading 00's while driving the vehicle. The centernavigation system went out while the heating and air conditioner lights rolled up and down as it was being driven and heat seating lights were flashing as well.

Door lock actuator on passenger sliding door replaced before 60,000 miles.

The van started having electrical issues while driving. All electrical items would turn off, such as a/c, dash lights, windows would not work, radio, but windshield wipers turn on. May stop independently or after you turn van off and back on. Once happened while i was driving, all the same symptoms i listed. Lasted about 5 minutes then stopped. Had the tipm changed by the dealer, but the problem happened after it was changed.

Right sliding door is making and buzzing sound this causes an issue with unlockinh the door.

While driving on s city street, all the digital displays (including radio, speedometer, vehicle info, etc.) went black without warning.all analog instruments continued to work.even after stopping and subsequently turning vehicle on and off, digital displays would not light.as we entered dealership, all digital displays returned.earlier push button ignition switch needed to be pushed a number of times before it activated

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving approximately 45 mph, the instrument panel indicators illuminated and the defroster failed. The vehicle was taken to monroe super store (15160 s dixie hwy, monroe, mi 48161), but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage and vin were unavailable.

Driverside passenger door lock actuator fail. Door will not open stuck in the locked position. It will not open manually either.vehicle was in the parked position. Went to open it and it would not open at all had to have the kids gets out on other side.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. Within less than a month of owning the vehicle, the tpms warning light randomly illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times and the sensor was reset more than twice, but the dealer was unable to provide a permanent remedy. The manufacturer was notified of the failure numerous times and provided no permanent solution. The vehicle was not repaired and the tpms warning light continued to flash. The failure mileage was 1,000.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the blind stop monitoring system malfunctioned and failed to illuminate in the mirrors. The audible beeping sound was also inoperable while another vehicle was approaching. The cause of the failures were not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 43,000.

On november 25 at 4:30pm, i was driving on route 80 going westbound approaching exits 27 a and b in northern new jersey.i was planning to use exit 26 and gently accelerated my town and country van in order to pass a vehicle to my right and transition to the right lane in order to exit.after passing the vehicle, i removed my foot from the gas pedal and my car unexpectedly continued to accelerate.i immediately applied the brake somewhat forcefully in order to stop the acceleration.upon removing my foot from the brake, the car again accelerated under its own power.i quickly scanned the dashboard to see if i was accidentally triggering a function such as cruise control.i noticed a red lightning bolt symbol illuminated, which indicates a malfunction with the electronic throttle control.i was able to apply the brake forcefully enough to use the exit ramp.as i approached the end of the exit ramp the car seemed to cease its attempt to accelerate and i was able to pull into a nearby gas station, park the vehicle, and turn it off.after restarting the vehicle the warning symbol was no longer present and the car seemed to be operating normally.i immediately took the vehicle to the johnson dodge dealership where it was purchased.they accepted the vehicle for diagnostic testing but were not able to find any computer or electrical malfunction.they instructed me to pick up the vehicle the next morning and the service staff member [xxx] could not provide any information about the malfunction and theorized that my rubber floor mats must have been stuck on the gas pedal during the incident.no other explanation or official paperwork was provided by the dealership.this incident was also reported to an official chrysler customer service representative ([xxx]; employee #[xxx]).as of this time, a replacement vehicle has been requested.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

When vehicle is parked and the auto-door lock system is activated by remote and/or manual door lock activation, the locks will activate and the doors will appear to be locked; however, when you pull on the door handles to check the lock, the locks will activate and re-open.this event will occur after a few seconds, minutes, hours, or even over night.in other words, even after you activate the auto-door locks, you can walk up to the car at any time, pull on the door handles, and the car will unlock allowing you to open the doors.

The passenger side sliding door actuator is going bad and is failing to unlock making this vehicle hazardous for my children who sit in the back seat.when the actuator fails, the door will not unlock and subsequently will not open making exiting the vehicle in an emergency much more difficult for rear seat passengers.

The vehicle stalls and all electrical turns off when driving.when the vehicle is in motion and slowing down to make a turn the vehicle stops running and the whole electrical system turns off so there is no power steering, no brakes, the whole electrical system fails.the stability control light comes on after a few seconds and stays on until you pull over turn the key off and then back on.the vehicle restarts after you do this but it has happened 4 times in the last 3 days.

My car began shaking with acceleration and then with idle. Upon an electrical diagnostic code it was reported a cylinder 4 issue. My van has less than 67000 miles.

I've replaced the battery 3 times in the past 8 months. This last time the battery almost exploded because of the draw on it. My mechanic says there's nothing wrong with the van and the parts store says there's nothing wrong with any of the 3 batteries they sold me. Ive gone on line and other people complain of a parasitic battery drain.. My vehicle was in my driveway each time when the battery was found dead.

Radio/dvd don't work out nowhere .. Start worked stays on for a few seconds they goes off..

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated while the vehicle was running with the charging portbutton engaged and there was an abnormal burning odor detected. The vehicle spontaneously caught fire. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle was towed to an independent lot.the fire departmentextinguished the fire. There was no police report filed. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted where informed an investigator would inspect the vehicle. The failure mileage was103,000.

Right passanger sliding door does not lock with fob nor manually, the physical lock is stuck. Door can be opened and alarm does not go off.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact received a notification for nhtsa campaign number: 14v234000 (electrical system); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

I was able to turn my van off and remove the the key from the ignition, thinking it was in park. The automatic transmission was still in drive, however, and upon my exit, the van rolled out of my parking space into a tree causing $6000 worth of damage. It was later discovered that the key can also be removed while the van is in drive and the engine running while the van is moving. The chrysler dealership diagnosed a faulty ignition, and is not offering any type of prorated warranty, even though the van is only 2000 miles out of warranty. What is most alarming to me is that there is no warning chime or lamp when the key is removed and the transmission is in drive.my daughter's dodge will not allow the key to be removed when not in park, and any attempt to do so results in an audible warning and message on the display.

The drivers side rear sliding door (automatic) does not fully latch, especially during hot days. It continues to try and fully latch until i manually close it by hitting the area where the latch is with a hip or fist. At times it will set off the alarm while stationary if the doors are locked as the door will even attempt to open on it's own. Based on other reports i've read of people having this same problem, their doors have even unlatched when driving. This is a major concern as it poses a safety hazard and based on research i've conducted it's a known problem for this model year. Please send to chrysler. Thank you!

I've had to have major work done to my engine and transmission. But the electrical problems are never ending. Most of the electric inside of my car hardly works. Our power doors have closed on my kids several times, the car has locked us in while the alarm was going off and we couldn't get out, it's been stuck on and wouldn't turn off, the transmission is constantly slipping, the windows open and close themselves, many times i've come out of the store and the electric sliding door was open when it wasn't left open, locks lock themselves, car alarm goes off while cars in drive and in park, car hesitates to go and i could go on and on. This car is only five years old !!!!

The lock fault actuator makes a buzzing sound when locking or unlocking

Faulty tipm, resulting in engine to stop running while vehicle was in motion, then could not restart.

Bought the car new in 2014, (it was the 6th chrysler minivan i've owned since 1995.) i love these minvans! this one has had an ongoing problem with cylinder #3 misfiring and causing violent shaking (as if it had a broken engine mount). Theproblem has always been diagnosed and eventually "fixed" by three different chrysler service departments in nc, fl & va.(the problem occured on various trips). It was usuallydiagnosed as a faulty fuel injector.most recently it was diagnosed as a spark plug failure due to a tiny crack in the insulation. They installed a new spark plug, and after leaving dealership and driving no more than 20 miles, violent shaking occured again. I immediatley returned to the dealership. This time #3 spark plug had "exploded" and caused the cylinder head to crack. All previous repairs were covered by the "lifetime" warranty purchased at the time ofpurchase in 2014.however this time, chrysler insurance sent an investigator who determined that the damage wascaused by the exploding spark plug and therefore denied coverage. The chrysler service technician said the "pcm" failed, causing the spark plug failure.the insurance agent continues to deny the claim because their policy "does not cover spark plug problems" !they now want me to pay $2500 for repairs.in all cases, the "check engine light" came on and i would return to a chrysler dealership to have it checked. Their computer check always defined the problem as being something in cylinder #3, but inconclusive because of no obviousengine symptoms. They would reset the engine light and send me on my way until an actual problem occured, and then leave the vehicle for more detailed checking.each time the problem occured at highway speedsand usually in heavy traffic on i-95...a dangerous time and place for engine problems to occur. Please note that every problem we've had with this vehicle has always been with cylinder #3 "misfiring". Is there a problem here?

This car is a melon.it is less than 4 years old and in the past six months i have had two major issues.the transmission died and there is a recall on other chrysler town and country's for this same problem but not my car.now the electrical control unit that controls all the actions of the vehicle (wipers, turn signals, etc) has died and has to be replaced.

I have two distinct electrical problems first front windows when using the window both side when rolling up window has broken letting window fall back down into door and will not work. I have already replaced driver side july 2020 am in process of repairing passenger side jan-fen 2021. Secondly side doors do not always shut securely and keep clicking like they are stuck and will not latch.does this on both sides must get out and manually shut the doors a few times to get it secured.the side door on driver side did have to have electrical repaired in 2020 as the door shut and would not reopen at all.this repair was done by my mechanic.

Seatbelt alarm for drivers seat keeps going off when driving even though it's securely on.other times a bell dings once to indicate something else but nothing comes up on dashboard indicating what it is.this happens when the car is in motion and not in motion & still in park also.this is becoming more frequent.bringing it in

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. Northtown chrysler dodge jeep ram (2020 niagara falls blvd, tonawanda, ny) informed the contact that due to the vehicle modification for handicap usage, the wiring caused the failure. The manufacturer was not notfied. The failure mileage was approximately 82.

I have a safety problem with my car we purchased 2 months ago this is the second time it has happened and it should be repaired with a recall. The ignition switch on my 2015 chrysler town & country vin 3 [xxx] works perfectly until you shut off the engine, then it allows you to remove the key easily in any gear, this allows the car to roll which has happened to me twice when distracted and the selector did not get to park. The first time was at night and when i put my foot out it felt like i was on ice, i did react by stepping on the brake and did not hit anything. I took it to enterprise car sales where i purchased it and they had the mechanic check it out, he said the ignition switch was dirty which repaired the problem until a few days ago. It happened in the daylight this week again and i could feel it and see it because i was on a greater incline & could see what was happening. In both of these instances there was no warning that the car was not in park. This is defiantly a safety problem that should be repaired, as the first time if i had not raised my foot fast enough i could have been pulled from the car by the door & possibly run over, as it was rolling backwards in the pitch dark night.'information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The passenger door lock actuator does not function correctly and does not reliably lock the door. This started on 12/02/2019 and the vehicle had only 35000 miles on it. Doors that do not lock when the vehicle is in motion is an extreme danger and should be resolved by chrysler.

I was driving along in motion, anall of a sudden the car just completely shut down. The steering wheel locked up and the brake got tight. Thank god i was on a slow street so i was able to stop the car and put it in park and the car started right back up again. This happened to me once in october and once again a month laterin november. In november i was on a regular street in traffic and the car shut down. I was able to put it in park and start it back up again. This is so scary and a safety problem. Thank god i didn't cause an accident.

I was driving about 30 mph. I had turned on the defrost for about 20 min. Weather was about 70 degrees outside. All of a sudden i heard a loud bang sounded like a gunshot. Then it smelled like something burning and the rear glass just shattered. Held together by the tint but completely shattered. I believe the rear defrost exploded somehow.

I reported issues with my transmission when the vehicle had 19212 miles on it. The problem reported has been hard shifting and hard down shift at stops. Problems occur in city driving conditions. Recently, now at 49100 miles, 2nd gear isn't kicking in. Dangerous in heavy traffic when rush hour traffic hasthe tendency to come to a stop and then go but if the vehicle doesn't shift to second gear. I need to pull over and shut the vehicle down and turn it back on and hope it will temporary fix. The service department at my dealership said i needed and oil change (recommended is 60k for transmission). I went ahead and paid for this service but the problem still exist in 2nd gear not shifting in. The dealer service advisor said my vehicle needs to re-learn my driving conditions. I'm weary about the advisors explanation and will find that at 60k powertrain warranty expiration. The service department will diagnose the problem at my cost. As it has occurred with my window motor/regulator. I reported a distinct noise when operating the windows at the same mileage noted above. No problems found. Today my vehicle is in the shop for the same problem but it's out of warranty and i will be receiving a call with the cost to repair it.

The cinch motor started vibrating like a jackhammer whenever the back passenger door would slide closed while the vehicle was stationary.after less than a week of this the door refused to open at all.

Headlights keep going out. I've had both low beam headlights replaced twice in less than 3 months. High beams, signal, parking lights all work as they should. I took it to a shop and they said the hid headlight ballast needed replaced. No power going to low beams. Had it replaced and lights worked fine for about 2 months. Now i'm having the same problem again. I just bought the van in july. I've searched the problem and this seems to be a recurring issue with this model.

Door lock buzzes when opening locks on automatic lock.passenger side sliding door.car is stationary, parked and opening doors while locked.

While driving at highway speeds at nightcomplete electrical shut down, engine must be restarted. This is happeningsporadically ,

Blind spot monitor - sensor failureafter only 2.5 years - both blind spot sensors have failed - due to the position chrysler have located them and the lack of protection provided in that location.widespread problem on all the chrysler range which the company refuses to accept responsibility for.location means sensors get severely corroded in a short period of time leading to failure of this safety feature. Sensors simply stopped working about 8 weeks ago. Spoke to chrysler who insist this is not a design flaw but clearly it is.

Car shuts off randomly while driving. It shuts off both at slow speeds such as driveling in a parking lot and at highway speeds. All power shuts off including power steering and the breaks won't work. This has happened to me 4 times while driving and poses a huge safety risk. I have only narrowly missed several accidents due to this.

Passenger side sliding door is buzzing, when opening passenger frontdoor and various other times.

Blind spot detection sensor issues. Dashboard error message states "service blind spot system".the issue is the blind spot warning signal constantly comes on with chime although their are no vehicles around the van.issue occurs when stationary, in motion no matter where driveway, city street or highway.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the instrument panel and the display screen went blank. The contact then stated that the vehicle would then seize in park, not allowing the gear shifter to shift gears. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to carolina chrysler dodge jeep ram (1001 halstead blvd, elizabeth city, nc 27909) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuse box needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and referred the contact back to a local dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

First reported my transmission concern at 19212 miles with the dealership service department. Hard shifting and slipped downshift at stops. At 49100 miles the 2nd gear isn't shifting in and requires for me to stop, pull over and start the vehicle again. The service advisor recommended a transmission oil change. But i continue to have a shifting problem and the advisor claims my vehicle needs to re-learn my driving habits. It concerns me to have this as an explanation when there is only 1 yerra/60k left on my powertrain warranty. In addition with 19212 miles i reported my drivers side window making an unusual noise. Dealership service department said no problems existed. At 49100 miles my drivers side window is completely unserviceable and now i'm told i will get a call with repair cost.

Radio/dvd don't work out nowhere .. Start worked stays on for a few seconds they goes off..

Accelerates without warning while parking

119000 miles on while driving vehicle service light came on.had plugs and coil replace because of skipping.problem still on going had fuel injection done.still skipping, mechanic suggest getting heads redone.lifters making ticking sound.

Car wonts start has a flashing check engine light and a lighting bolt on car has don't this like 10 times now. I have researched and i seen they had a problem with this same problem once before.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated that while her father was driving 70 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact called the local dealer but, the vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact stated the failure was like nhtsa campaign number: 16v461000 (power train) however, the vin was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

Noise coming from engine every time i go over 55 speed, also noise from windshield as if there is air coming into the car. Noise from speakers as the car speeds

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated that while the vehicle was idling at a drive thru, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle failed to respond. The driver stated no warning light was illuminated. The driver was able to drive to a nearby parking lot and park the vehicle. The driver called the contact so he could continue driving the vehicle to their residence. The contact stated he then experienced the failure himself and also stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact called arrigo chrysler dodge jeep ram sawgrass located at 5901 madison ave, tamarac, fl 33321, (954) 515-5800 and were made aware of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired as of yet. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 16v461000 (power train), however the vin was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000.

In june the engine had to be replaced in my vehicle.in may, the oil container was replaced.now in september the transmission is being replaced.last year sometime, there were electrical issues addressed.now the air conditioning in the back of the vehicle does not work.it seems we are totally rebuilding the chrysler town & country 2015 all at substantial costs to me.while they are putting in a new transmission, they tell me that they are too busy to check the electrical issue and the air conditioning troubles.yet i waited for nearly a month for a westchester dealer to replace the engine and they did not honor my additional insurance by giving me a rental vehicle - so i had no transportation.i have had a horrible time with the troubles, inconveniences and costs.don't i have any rights here?i was driving my vehicle on narrow streets in a busy resort area - thank god it was very early in the morning because the car just stopped running with no warning.this turned out to be transmission on sunday morning labor day weekend!i am still in the resort area paying for housing while they "fix" my transmission.parts were to arrive yesterday sept 10th but didn't arrive until early this evening.they are not sure they can have it fixed by friday sept 13, 2019.last summer the electrical stability went bonkers.that was another issue.also my vehicle keeps going down in value.i owe more on it than it is now worth.documentation is with my vehicle which is currently undergoing transmission repairs.that is documentation of all of these repairs since making this purchase less than 18 months ago.

Engine hesitates and transmission jerks upon accelerating and at times during normal highway and /or stop and go traffic.complained to dealership where car was purchased twice (locates on route 60 brandon fl) and response was no issues encountered. Mind you manufacturer warranty is about to expire.

While driving at highway speeds at nightcomplete electrical shut down, engine must be restarted. This is happeningsporadically ,

During an oil change, when the filter cap was removed, there was a plastic component stuck in the end of the filter that the service technician didn't recognize. One of the four tabs inside the cap was broken off and not able to be located. It could still be inside inside the oil filter housing, but an inspection with a flashlight did notlocate it. Purchased a new cap from dealer. The cap has an integrated spring loaded nipple that the filter slips onto.

My engine needs to be replace.the dealer says the upper rod has damaged the engine and the engine needs to be replace ($5200.00).also, the actuator in the right sliding door had to be replaced.

Air conditioning blowing hot air. Defective parts are located in rear on drivers side. Cost to repair from $1 -4800

While driving on the freeway, the engine completely shut off. I lost power steering, power and all electrical power. I stopped then it turned on fine with no issues. Not reproduced. No prior messages or symptoms.

I bought my car from 440 dodge in jersey city nj, i had mopar insurance for repairs. I bought it back twice for transmission purposes, dealer did change a somewhat sensor to change shifting on trans at no charge cause i was covered but know it's happening again, not shifting accordingly, gas is burning cause of staying in gears that are not shifting. Trans is not slipping but i'm having the same problem on shifting and will stay stuck on same gear and car will keep accelerating wich in some cases l'd have to keep foot on brake, pull over and let system reset. What are my options in this case, thank you

Car shakes hard when applying brakes at around 50 to 70 mph, 1st time into dealer said it was alignment paid for that, 2nd time into dealer said it was motor mounts ? paid for that, still have that problem will never buy chrysler prod. Again !!!...p s i have my tires rotated and balance ever 5,000 mil.

My van is shaking when i stop and stalls out when i stop. It also shifts poorly (jumps when shifting). I took it to medina auto mall who said the transmission needs replaced. It only has 55,000 miles on it. I noticed there is an active recall for power tran on the ones made right before (or after, i can't remember exactly which way it was) my van was made which is very frustrating. I should not have a to replace a transmission on a van i just purchased 2 years ago that i have taken great care of and has low miles on it. I paid 21,000 for this vehicle and it is disturbing that they are telling me the transmission is bad. I have 3 children and it is dangerous to be driving them around in this vehicle. Unfortunately, we are unsure what to do right now as we don't have the funds to put that much money into it. I put a date as to when it last happened but it has happened many times.

Vehicle is only 3 years old and started making a constant clicking noise that would speed up with the speed of the car in addition to that the rpm shoots up butvehicle struggles to speed up, took it in to get looked at, the engine and transmission are going out and is going to cost more to fix than the car is worth. Also the air bag in the passenger head rest exploded earlier in the year while the vehicle was moving and was not in an accident, and the back passenger door will mechanically open but not shut. This vehicle has had an excessive amount of problems for only being 3 years old.

The cowling or engine cover broke at approx 28k miles for no known reason. It was replaced by branhaven jeep/dodge of branford, connecticut after several visits and test drives. The last test drive was for 45 minutes at highway speeds, with my wife and the mechanic, because they could not find the issue. It's a pain in the butt returning this vehicle to dealership 3x for the same issue--. Now it has been replaced, but the issue has returned after about 6 weeks or so....maybe two months. Dealership is saying the same thing--can't find the issue because it mainly happens at about 69 mph and they said it's illegal to drive that fast in the state of connecticut. A star case with dodge will be started on this, i'm calling this weekend. The whistle comes from the dashboard inside the car, drivers' side, just left of center. This nuisance is a safety issue to the driver and a cultural note signifying a complete decline in chrysler production. If the engine cowls are cracking----this could signify early wear and tear in the engine causing the cowl to crack and sever the belts. Question: would you want your wife and children in a vehicle with a whistle coming from the interior of the car, that you have video of from a smart phone, but that the dealership refuses to "find"?

I was driving along in motion, anall of a sudden the car just completely shut down. The steering wheel locked up and the brake got tight. Thank god i was on a slow street so i was able to stop the car and put it in park and the car started right back up again. This happened to me once in october and once again a month laterin november. In november i was on a regular street in traffic and the car shut down. I was able to put it in park and start it back up again. This is so scary and a safety problem. Thank god i didn't cause an accident.

The car has 25,000 miles on it.starting out from my house down a hill the power steering and brakes were not working as apparently the engine stopped.i restarted and drove about 15 miles and was on i-26 in tn at 65 mph and the engine rpm dropped to 0, power brakes and steering were inoperable but i managed to get onto the shoulder but was in a dangerous spot with traffic speeding by.car would start but i was afraid to drive it ass it was not safe if it cut out again on the interstate highway.had it towed.still not repaired and mechanic said it showed a code of both bank sensors.e has not found the problem as of yet but i understand chrysler has had issues with engine stoppage.this is dangerous as my wife would not have been able to control the hard steering and brakes and likely would have wrecked.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle shutoff causing the power steering and power brakes to cease operation. After gaining control of the vehicle, the driver was able to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the local the dealer umansky dodge chrysler of charlottesville located at 960 hilton heights rd, charlottesville, va 22901, who diagnosed the vehicle and stated that the pcm was defective and needed to be replaced. The pcm was replaced and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 74,500.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving approximately 60 mph, the rpms increased, the vehicle made an abnormal noise, and stalled without warning. The vehicle was pulled off the road and did not move when it was shifted into drive. The contact's vehicle was "pushed" by another vehicle to the contact's residence. The contact called ewald chrysler jeep dodge ram franklin at 414-427-2000 (located at 6319 s 108th st, franklin, wi 53132) and was informed that there was no recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 90,000.

Faulty tipm, resulting in engine to stop running while vehicle was in motion, then could not restart.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving 40 mph, the engine seized. The contact was able to safely drive off the road and pulled into a parking lot. The contact called her spouse and they had the vehicle towed. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to murray chrysler jeep dodge (15160 us-301 s, starke, fl 32091, (904) 964-3200) where it was diagnosed that a transaxle oil pump needed to be installed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 92,000. The vin was unknown.

My car began shaking with acceleration and then with idle. Upon an electrical diagnostic code it was reported a cylinder 4 issue. My van has less than 67000 miles.

Car was running perfectly at 70 mph on the highway and engine cut off without any warning or indication of poor operation, resulting immediate loss of power steering and loss power brakes. This has happened twice in 12 days on nov 14 and now nov 26 while driving to whole family to thanksgiving.mechanic has not been able to duplicate the problem. Very scary. Car has 76k miles. Car will start right back up after 20 min and run perfectly fine. Car has been well maintained with extended warranty.

On one of our last visits on june 12, 2019, i took my vehicle in because it was making an awful whining noise and jolting when accelerated and when i would brake it would shake. Upon inspection the dealer informed us that the whining and jolting was due to the transmission failingand needed replacing through warranty. They also told us my automobile was shaking when braking because it needed new brakes, which were not covered by warranty. I declined the replacement service for the brakes due to their excessive fees upward of $800. We picked up our vehicle on june 25, 2019, after the transmission issue was addressed.we then visited an auto brake vendor and they informed us our brakes were still good and didn't need replacing, not what the dealer told us. So we droveour car for 2 months with an unknown shaking when braking.come august we begin to notice the vehicle jolting a bit again when accelerating. On august 28, 2019, while driving the vehicle with my 4 kids in it after school, the brakes gave out it; took me pressing the pedal to the bottom to finally get the car to stop, nearly missing the car in front of us. I pulled over immediately and called the dealer because i knew this was not a simple brake pad issue.the dealer told me to take the car to them immediately. When i arrived the service attendant informed us that the vehicle needed to be inspected which would probably not be until the following day since it was later in the afternoon. The following day i was informed by the dealer that the vehicles brake booster had failed and that the transmission and engine head bolts were broken.how is it that the transmission head bolts were broken when they had just reconstructed it 2 months prior and why was the braking issue not correctly diagnosed during that same june visitinstead of trying to sell me overpriced brakes and putting my family in danger.

1) the automatic transmission is jerking when it switches to another gear at speeds less than about 40 mph. 2) the back up camera stopped working right at 35,000 miles.

While driving my car will seem like it pushes back as if the shifting gear is hold back. Now it started shaking to as i sped up on the interstate to the point were i could not put my foot on the gas. The shaking last about 5 minutes and check engine light is on. It also did not want to start right away.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving at night on an unlite road, the headlamps failed to illuminate the roadway sufficiently. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was concerned that there was an object inside of the headlamp that prohibited the proper projection of the headlamp beam. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 500. Consumer stated low beam light only gives 20 yd of light on unlite roads. Updated 8/8/18

Every year since owning this vehicle i've had to replace a headlight from burnt bulbs to full headlamp replacement. My message center on the dash never indicates headlight is out. I've owned my 2015 chrysler town and counttry limited platinum for 5 years and had to have this issue resolved every year. I've had the dealer do the repairs each time so it can be documented.

This could happen to any vehicle with a fuel tank and a sliding passenger door on the same side. A friend was at the gas pump refueling, the rest of us were still in the van talking. We decided we needed some more information which was in my purse in the very back of the van. With out thinking i opened the sliding door which was on the same side as the fuel door, causing the sliding door to catch the fuel nozzle and knock it out of the vehicle. Luckily the person doing the fueling reacted quickly and there was not a real disaster. So there needs to be some type of lock or sensor that will not let the sliding door open if the fuel tank refueling door is open. We were very lucky, a few splashes of gasoline on us and the side of the van. We were all adults, i can only think of how terribly wrong this could have gone. There are many scenario's to consider and think about. I felt so bad and scared, i do not want another person to go through this!! i cannot believe we were the first that this has happened to, but it needs to be brought to someone's attention!!

Brought vehicle to shop because i seen a puddle of oil under the car parked in front of my homemechanic took a look an said this is the oil filter housing stated i see this all the time with town and country, cherokee, and durango it's a cheap plastic that gets brittle in the heat and brakes

While driving on the freeway, the engine completely shut off. I lost power steering, power and all electrical power. I stopped then it turned on fine with no issues. Not reproduced. No prior messages or symptoms.

I haven't reached 50,000 miles yet but my fuel injector has gone bad. While driving my engine light came on then the car started to vibrate.i checked the manual and it didn't help. I've called several to the location closes to me and the location i brought it from.i have not received any information on the problem.

Driving along and the car stalled and would not go forward or backgroundit would not excel like it was nit getting gas; the car was in motion and stalled

My engine needs to be replace.the dealer says the upper rod has damaged the engine and the engine needs to be replace ($5200.00).also, the actuator in the right sliding door had to be replaced.

The passenger side sliding door will not latch closed in hot weather. It continuously tries to close but doesnā€™t latch. This has been happening for years. Now it is starting to do this while driving when the door is not even being opened or closed. The overhead lights come on and the door ajar symbol flashes and dings. It will continue to do this for 20 minutes or more while the door continuously tries to close. I have two children and feel that this is a safety issue because the door is not secure while driving.i have not yet taken it to a dealer because i have read online that tons of people have this problem and dealers havenā€™t been able to find a cause.

My vehicle is a 2015 with a little over 87,000 miles. I just had the transmission replaced for the second time since 2017. The first had to have it replaced in 2018 and then again in june 2020. There's obviously a defect with the powertrain in this vehicle. This vehicle has had three transmissions in 5 years.it is still sputtering and doesn't feel right.

I was driving on highway and from nowhere car lost power for few seconds ( engine stoped) i almost run to another car. After car was driving okay for about 15 minutes and again lost power for few seconds and almost run off road( lucky, was no kids in my car). I took off highway and was driving on regular road. Car start making loud noise. I could not drive faster then 25 miles in hour( lucky was close by my business). That was transmission problem. Did research and find out that happening with a lot of cars, transmission pump failure. Some cars received recall, i didn't. Why chrysler lost quality? why people paying more money and not getting quality like use to be. If car will crash in this situation, who will be responsible. Now i just afraid to drive with this car, specialy with my family. Factory should replace those cars.

After sitting at a stop at a drive thru service, the vehicle lost all ability to accelerate when stepping on the gas. Turned the car off and regained control. Drove for awhile and the transmission started slipping and then would lose complete ability to accelerate. The loss of power would cause the car to come to a standstill with traffic having to deal with my non moving car in the middle of traffic. Engine began to whine also. I turned the car off and would regain control for a short while until it would happen all over again. Took it into a mechanic and was told it was the transmission pump. It is recalled on other vehicles of the same make and model and year but it is not covered on mine. This was the first repair to any non body part of the vehicle. All fluid changes and regular preventive maintenance were kept up to date. It's worrisome that the transmission failed so early on such a new vehicle.

This vehicle was driven by my wife with my kids inside the vehicle. Almost causing a accident which now concerns me for the safety of my family. The gears on this vehicle stop functioning out of nowhere. I'm confused on how a vehicle like this which is suppose to be reliable especially to families that travels in these vehicles. This vehicle is only 4 years old and only has around approximately 60,000 miles. This should never happen to this vehicle unless it is part of this recall. It has not been driven that long and still has low miles. Please help me to fix this problem and get my family to feel safe again in our vehicle. Thankyou

The transmission has been slipping and also sometimes when i accelerate it sticks in 2nd gear and then have to pull over and shut of car the start and the problem goes away. I know there was a recall for 2015 chrysler town and country's and feel mine was missed in the recall. I would like this investigated.

When i drive in highwayand trying to a full stop because of traffic the car shuts off .in the stop sign when i make full stop the car jumping looks like the gear is not going down.even when i drive up hill the gear is not going up.

Transmission jerks after just 5-10 minutes of running the vehicle. In heavy stop and go traffic, it jerks and trembles, then shuts down after stopping. This is still happening even two months after it was repaired by the dealer.

Transmission lost power causing my car to stop in traffic. The only way it works is if it cools down and then it still only works for a few minutes.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving various speeds, the vehicle violently shifted gears intermittently. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 84,069.

In may 2018, my van lost all power while driving on the freeway.i was accelerating, and had complete loss of vehicle power but maintained electrical (lights/radio).my car was towed and i had a diagnostic performed.i had the total integrated power module replaced (tipm).recently i have experienced intermittent issues such as windshield wipers acting uncontrollable, radio not functioning at period of times.just last night (november 2019) my car lost all power again while driving and i ended up on the side of the freeway yet again.the same thing happened, the accelerator was pressed as i was driving on the freeway and the rpm just dropped straight to 0.i soon lost my power steering but was still able to get the car to the side of the road.i still had light/radio function.the car would not restart. I had it towed and it is my tipm yet again.

While driving and after 5 to 10 minutes it starts to not automatically shift into orher gears as normal.i find that the rpm readings are between 5 and 6 while the vehicle will only go 30 to 40 mph. This happened on a highway with minimum speeds at 55 mph.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission failed to shift as designed, without warning. The vehicle was towed to tyson motor (1 sw. Frontage rd, shorewood, il 60404, (815)741-5520), where the contact was provided an estimate of $6,000 to replace the transmission. On9/16/2020 noted a high pitched whine started when backing out of driveway and continued on the highway approximately 25 miles to work.after work, the check engine light came on and within 1-1.5 miles on local side streets from my work, the car began having trouble with acceleration and bogging.i was able to pull into a local garage.thankfully, i did not take the highway or this would have been disastrous. 9/17/2020 the service garage had identified need to replace transmission.it only has 74000 miles on it and out extended warranty expired recently.the day prior to this happening, a window molding suddenly flew off our drivers side while on the highway.

At 115,000 miles, the automatic transmission on my 2015 chrysler town and country touring failed. It started with a shudder, and then high pitched whining, and then it slipped out of gear. It happened very fast, and without warning. We were on city roads, driving slow and stopping at intersections. Had to have it towed to a chrysler dealer. Dealer says the transmission needs to be replaced. They are insisting on replacing the ac condenser as well, otherwise they claim chrysler won't honor the new transmission warranty (apparently the transmission lines run through the ac condenser). Two other identical minivans are at that same dealer for identical repairs. Mine had the most mileage at 115,000. The two others had fewer miles. All need a complete transmission replacement. $4400.

The events described take place on the lot of an auto auction. On 11/27/18 a couple co-workers of mine approach me regarding looking at our security camera footage to see something in particular. We take a gander and what we see shocks us. A 2015 chrysler town and country looks like any other. When it was pulled onto the lot, they began checking it in. The vehicle had been running for about half an hour, it was parked, emergency brake pulled and the vehicle was put into park. My co-workers go into our garage, leaving the van idling in the lot. The security footage shows that, even though the parking brake was pulled and van put into idle, the van started rolling on it's own. It rolled itself all the way into another vehicle on our lot. When the van was found, it was no longer in park, but in either neutral or drive. The parking break, was no longer set. I can provide video footage upon request.

There is a recall for 2015 chrysler town and country, but i was told it is not for my vehicle. The recall number is s44. The recall is for the transmission because if the transmission loses hydraulic pressure, the vehicle may lose motive power, increasing the risk of a crash.this is exactly what happened to my vehicle today on the highway. The vehicle, with no other known problems, just lost power all of a sudden. Please help.

The transmission pump needs to be replaced only a year after the transmission assembly was replaced. I was driving when the gears kept making a whining noise and weren't shifting as easily as before. Acceleration was longer and made merging in and out very dangerous. According to the chrysler customer service department, my vehicle doesn't qualify for a recall repair even though the pump was recalled for this vehicle type and year.

Chrysler 2014 -2019 town & country passenger vans are having numerous low compression problems on any or all cylinders in mid range mileage odometer readings ( ours at 87,000 mi.)shooting engine lights on..-after changing all spark plugs and the coil specifically on cylinder 4 that threw the engine light on...the mechanics are saying their is still more internal problems in these engines with low compression making the vehicles run rough at idle but problems will get worse as wrong mixtures of gasoline will create further emission problems and may result in the catalytic converters failing .... Could you as the nhtsa research the extent of the problems and work on a recall ???? before the initial repair of cylinder 4 the car at hi way speeds did lose acceleration and caused problems entering hi speed hi ways situations...

While driving my car will seem like it pushes back as if the shifting gear is hold back. Now it started shaking to as i sped up on the interstate to the point were i could not put my foot on the gas. The shaking last about 5 minutes and check engine light is on. It also did not want to start right away.

My wife was driving home on the highway, when the transmission started making a whining noise and would barely move, so i changed the filter and fluid, helped for about 500 miles, then did it again, so i replaced the filter and fluid again, and same thing, started doing it again around 500 miles.

Will not shift properly

When i brake at a light there is a jerking and hesitation.. One time it stalled out completely right after breaking at the lighton a busy city street

The vehicle was in motion turning on to another street and once foot was set to accelerate, it accelerated without any movement. Nor did it move forward nor reverse.

Whining sound then abrupt failure of transmission to perform. Field drive, baton rouge, la and vicinity.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While the contact's wife was driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle lost power without warning. The vehicle was towed to stephen wade chrysler jeep dodge ram (855-227-3516, located at 1724 hilton dr, st. John, utah 84470) where it was diagnosed that the transmission pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

I was driving on the interstate when i felt issues with the transmission and smelt something burning.i was fortunate that there was a rest area nearby and pulled off the highway to inspect.when i pulled into the parking spot, i did not notice any puddles on the ground.by the time i got out of the car, there was a huge puddle of oil on the ground as well as i could see oil dripping from underneath the van.i immediately took it to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the front pump failed requiring replacement of the entire transmission.

While driving at approximately 25 mph, i lost all power to engine. No power steering, no brakes, no ability to a accelerate. I was able to put flashers on and pull off main road. I turned ignition off and was able immediately restart it. Two days prior, van wouldn't start and had to be jump started. Interior lights still worked but no power was getting to ignition.

All of the sudden my van slipped and went forward after having it looked at my transmission fluid after only 64000 was completely black and have 4 broken aluminum pieces in it. So that's going to be an expensive fix. The van is a 2015. Only 5 years old. It should not be having this problem.

Problems started at approximately 94,000 miles. Vehicle would buck, choke, sputter, with rpm fluctuations and sometimes stall out while approaching a stop. Took it in to the dealer who test drove it and could not get it to replicate. Took it in to another mechanic whom also could replicate the issue but suggested it was the transmission. Since i knew it was still under warranty, i needed the dealer to be able to confirm. No error codes ever fired. Vehicle was podded twice by the dealer. Problem was sporadic with some days not happening at all and other days happening 5+ times or it would almost stall every time i came to a stop. Finally able to get it to replicate about 3 weeks into the issues with a local dealer (not the dealer where car was purchased) and he suspected transmission but they were a month out with repairs. Appointment made with original dealer and again, service foreman could not get the car to replicate. I begged them to take it for a day and i'd pay for a rental to find out what was going on as we still had no error codes. At this point, the vehicle is at 95000 miles. The service manager took it out twice the day i dropped it off and nothing happened. The second day he was then able to get it to replicate 10-15 times! he confirmed it was the compounder in the transmission and it is covered under warranty.

The car was in motion driving and started to stop and overheat. We took it to get the codes looked at for the problem and the p0944 code is showing for hydraulic pressure unit loss of pressure. Which is specific to the reference number 16v461000 nhtsa recall bulletin powertrain automatic transmission.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While the contact's wife was driving 50 mph, the check engine indicator illuminated and the vehicle lost acceleration. The contact attempted to depress the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact managed to drive at low speeds to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the power train failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not included in any open recalls. The failure mileage was approximately 104,000.'parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'

Accelerator pedal has a 1 - 2 second delay. Dangerous when merging onto highway or need to do a fast pass. Pressing gas pedal, even to the floor, does nothing for a second or two, then transmission hits hard and jerks the car forward with force, almost losing control.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While the contact was at a drive-thru atm, money blew out of hand. When the contact placed the vehicle in park and opened the door to retrieve the money, the vehicle accelerated in reverse. The the bank teller informed consumer vehicle was moving. The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving 70 mph, the transmission disengaged and the engine revved. The contact released the accelerator pedal and downshifted to a lower gear, which caused the transmission to return to normal. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall; however, other vehicles were also experiencing transmission failures. The manufacturer was unable to assist. The vehicle was taken to wells motor company (1600 us hwy 27 s, avon park, fl 33825, (863) 453-6644) and diagnosed more than two days, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 70,000.

Loud whine coming from engine area.transmission problem, front oil pump failed. My vehicle was not listed in the recall but has same problem as recalledt&c minivans. I would step on gas pedal and the rpm's would go up but my car would not engage and accelerate. Eventually the van died would not moe and had to be towed to dealership

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving, the vehicle switched in and out of gear, accelerated without warning, and seized. While attempting to place the gear shifter in drive, the vehicle jerked and the battery key fob indicator illuminated, which indicated a battery change. The vehicle was taken to community chrysler dodge jeep ram of martinsville (555 in-37, martinsville, in 46151 (765) 342-5000) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for routine maintenance. The dealer test drove the vehicle and informed the contact that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The vehicle was left at the dealer and the contact was provided with a loaner vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,700. The vin was unavailable.

Check engine light came on.van was originally driving fine and not making any noises. Next day while driving to get the check engine light diagnosed on the city streets, the van wouldn't shift gears and stopped in the middle of the road.after an attempt to turn the van on and off to get it out of the middle of the road, the van would move forward and then slowly decelerate.when towed to the repair shop, it was determined that there was something wrong with the transmission.the diagnosis is a transmission pump failure.there is a recall due to transmission pump failures however we were told our vin # wasn't affected.$3700 later we had to get a rebuilt transmission out of pocket when i believe this was related to the recall.

I was driving down the highway and my van started to slow down sporadically and then just stopped moving all together.i was stuck on a busy road during rush hour.after being towed to a garage, i was told that i needed a new transmission because the pump had gone out.

While driving on the freeway, the engine completely shut off. I lost power steering, power and all electrical power. I stopped then it turned on fine with no issues. Not reproduced. No prior messages or symptoms.

The transmission is giving a low pressure code p0868 in line with other recalls of this make and model.i am having to take the transmission into the dealer for service. The problems where notice in november of 2018 while the car was in motion.

Suddenly and without warning, my transmission failed. No warning noises, no check engine light. I was on a country road with my 7 year old son in the car and no help for miles. Had we been on a highway, we may have been in an accident. The vehicle was in motion when i heard a whining/ winding sound. The engine revved high and wouldn't move forward. I pulled over to the shoulder, turned my vehicle off, turned it back on and the same thing happened. I called a tow truck to get my vehicle to a repair shop where i was told that the computer is showing an error code for the transmission.

Transmission slipping

Transmission failurewhile drivingat highway speeds

Vehicle has 33,000 miles on it and needs a total transmission rebuild.it has been to 2 transmission specialists and 1 dealership and has had sensors and the tcm replaced and reprogrammed.it is still shifting erratically and will stall out regularly, usually in the middle of turns often leading to a stalled vehicle in the middle of the intersection acting like it's in neutral.vehicle has to be shifted into park and then back to drive for it to reset itself.very unsafe.car does have a prior flood salvage title but it is from a open window that only affected the interior minorly, no damage under the hood.after the tcm was replaced it is throwing codes p0731, p0792, p1790.was not throwing any codes prior to the tcm replacement 3 weeks ago. Issue also happens from a stop with no turn.issues started summer of 2017 and have been getting worse.

Over the course of having the vehicle for the past 3 years. We have had a number of odd occurrences where when driving the van it has a hard time shifting while climbing a hill, when pulling away quickly from a stopped position or when coming to a stop. The issue is always when the transmission is shifting. We have had it looked at but they could not replicate the issue, until. When driving to the grocery store the van would not go into gear while trying to leave the parking lot onto a major city highway. The van jerked and shook and then revved very loudly getting to almost 8000 rpms. The car then lurched forward almost causing us to collide into traffic. After this instance we decided a to call the issue in. Upon our initial call, the warranty was expired and they would not be able to do any repairs under the warranty. When searching for recalls while none showed for our particular vin, many others have had this same issue. Given the nature of the issue we can confirm that cause of the issue is losing hydraulic pressure. This faulty component nearly cost the lives of my 5 family members as well as other that could have been injured.

The check engine light came on and within minutes it wasn't moving, only in reserve. The engine light when check had many errors messages about the transmission lines and pump and anything about the transmission basically. The fluid wasn't dry put we added more just in case, no change.

Back windshield shattered suddenly. Nothinghit it. Defective. Shattered due to weak corner/ defective. Seatbelt buckle broken in back seat. Driver headrest deployed. Transmission went up at 80,000 miles.

This has been an off and on again occurence with this car it completely shuts down and i have visited the dealership often and they are turn me away for repairs and or fixing of said vehicle without throwing money at it. This is a safety issue and concern for my family as my kids ride in this car almost everyday. We need a reliable vehicle and we are getting no help from dealerships and this car needs to addressed.

Active headreast has deployed due to broken plastic mount for retaining pin. Vehicle was stored in carport when malfunction occurred.

While stopped at a traffic light, the drivers side headrest unexpectedly burst apart. It seems that the plastic piece inside designed to hold the spring mechanism in the safety restraint system broke.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving approximately 50 mph, the front driver's seat headrest air bag suddenly deployed without impact. The driver sustained a headache and neck injury, which did not require medical attention. The vehicle was taken to elm grove chrysler (2538 national rd, wheeling, wv) to be diagnosed, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. While car was parked. Active head restraint deployed unexpectedly for no reason. No sudden stop or collision of any kind.

While parked, engine not running and un-occupied, the front passenger head rest deployed. Internal parks were observed to be broken and unable to return the head rest to it's closed position

Passenger front headrest exploded while stationary. We were at a stop light, there was no accident or impact. It cannot be reset and needs to be replaced. I do not feel like we should have to pay out of pocket when this is a common issue and a safety issue.

Driver headrest deployed randomly. Car wasn't in any sort of collision. Plastic support inside headrest failed. Plastic holds small bar that engages with electronic powered clips.

Drivers side head rest popped apart while i was sitting in the vehicle!! it's spring loaded and the only thing holding it together are 2 small plastic clips!! i was not in motion when it happened!!

In april 2018, the active head restraint on the driver's side deployed by popping forward striking the driver's head. The driver was not injured.it is clearly evident that the plastic brackets that hold the head restraint together broke apart. This occurred while vehicle was stopped normally at a traffic light.no collision or hard braking took place.for months, owner has attempted to have both local dealership and manufacturer repair this safety issue to no avail.

The drivers side headrest deployed open for no reason. The vehicle was sitting in my driveway not moving.

While exiting our parked 2015 town and country, the driver side active headrest on my wifeā€™s van went off. There was no collision or jarring of the vehicle. We contacted the dealer and were told it would have to be repaired out of pocket. I have seen this problem online and feel as though a recall should have been in place.

Driver seat got stuck in up position. Seat will not go down and peddles won't adjust. The air bag in the head rest discharged while sitting at a red light. Not very satisfied.388rks

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While the vehicle was parked, the contact reached from the driver's seat to grab something from the front passenger seat. Without warning, the driver's side headrest exploded and struck the contact on the back of the head. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to huffines chrysler jeep dodge ram lewisville (972-538-4100, located at 1024 s stemmons fwy, lewisville, tx 75067), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer stated that there was no recall for the failure. The manufacturer was called and stated that there was a computer failure, and then hung up on the contact. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

Driver headrest exploded while driving.

I was driving on a side street at approximately 20mph when a very loud noise and impact to the back of my head happened. I swerved and slammed the brakes. After i was stopped, i put the vehicle in park to investigate the situation. My ahr (active head rest) had spontaneously deployed. I was not in an accident. The deployment struck the back of my head with such force that it sent me forward. I instantly got a headache and lasted for 3 days.*dtconsumer stated her head "pops" if she is still for a long period of time and move forward/down.

The headrest on the passenger side of the vehicle spontaneously deployed without warning while i was driving one day. There was no accident, sudden stop, or anything of the sort. It simply occurred while driving. Thank god no one was riding in the passenger seat at the time. After it happened, my husband and i looked up this issue online and discovered hundreds of folks that stated the exact same thing happened to them in their chrysler vehicles. This headrest is supposed to be a safety feature (which we knew nothing about), but it seems to be the exact opposite. The plastic holding the pin in place simply broke. There is no way to push the headrest back together, so now it is sitting deployed causing the passenger's head to be pushed forward.

Passenger side headrest exploded while driving (on a paved road in florida) for no reason. Could have been extremely bad or fatal if their was a passenger setting in the seat.

Active head restraint deployed for no reason. Vehicle was stationary in my driveway

Back windshield shattered suddenly. Nothinghit it. Defective. Shattered due to weak corner/ defective. Seatbelt buckle broken in back seat. Driver headrest deployed. Transmission went up at 80,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country.

While the vehicle was stationary, the driver side head rest popped out and will not snap back in place

We were in the van that the passenger front headrest just shot out and almost hit my wife in the head. Took to the dealer and found they wanted over 800 for a new headrest. I feel like this is a safety issue that should be addressed.

While my car was parked in the driveway at my house, the headrest popped out.

Passenger headrest airbag/whiplash expand safety device.internal plastic bracket failed and caused the headrest to expand and cannot be reset. The vehicle was in the driveway and not moving when the headrest just loudly expanded, no one was setting in the seat.

The head rest on the driver's seat deployed while sitting in our driveway, unoccupied.it is the same problem with the active head rest inadvertent deployment detailed in pe19-014.

While driving on the freeway the active head restraint deployed.there was no impact, just deployed without cause.

The active head restraint on the right front seat inadvertently deployed. The vehicle was not involved in any kind of impact and no airbag deployment took place. The head restraint will not reset due to the sled bracket being broken.*dt

I was driving down the road and the driver's side headrest deployed and hit me in the back of the head. I thought the tv from the ceiling had fallen down and hit me, it was pretty hard.

Right front seat active headrest deployed with a load bang while vehicle was in motion on a state road. The interior of the active headrest had broken pieces, so it cannot be reset.

I was driving down a city street and the driver's side headrest spontaneously deployed forcing my neck and head forward causing whiplash, headaches and neck pain.i thought something exploded in the back of my van.*dtconsumer stated local dealer was contacted but were of no help.

Passenger side seat headrest deployed/exploded for no apparent reason while passenger was in seat.the vehicle was in motion, moving around 40 mph on smooth state/us highway with no change in speed and no collision.it just deployed on its own for no reason.

The headrest opened without warning or collision while driving down the highway. Driving at about 45 mph while slowing down going over rumble strips. The plastic housing that holds the bar which hold the headrest down had broken. The bar is still heald by two teeth.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the front passenger side active headrest restraint indicator illuminated and made a dinging sound. The headrest later came apart. The vehicle was taken to big o dodge chrysler jeep ram (2645 laurens rd, greenville, sc 29607, 864-288-5000) where it was diagnosed that the front passenger active headrest needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

While riding in the passenger seat of my vehicle the ' headrest restraint system' inappropriately out of nowhere deployed while the vehicle was moving but was never in an accident. The headrest forcefully hit me in the neck and back of the head.

On 7/17/2019 while traveling down a local highway the driver side headrest exploded hitting me in the back of the neck. Pulled off road immediately. Proceeded to the dealership of purchase. Licensed chrysler service person attempted to re-set. Determined headrest was broken and they would order new. Did not tell us there is a class action suit in the process regarding these headrests.thankfully no serious injury, other than a headache and dizzy which lasted about 3 hours. Was informed item is back ordered and no idea when it will be available. Maybe next year. We travel to fl in the fall and need this safety feature in operation for this trip. We obtained a pre-work order and was told it means nothing since no work has been ordered. Service tech did not know if headrest was faulty or not. He said a speed bump can dislodge it or even a pot hole. Really?? please help us. *dt *dt *dt

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving, the brake pedal was depressed and traveled to the floorboard. The vehicle would not stop on command and the front end shook. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to lampe chrysler dodge jeep ram fiat (151 n neeley st, visalia, ca 93291, (559) 737-6400), but was not diagnosed due to the fee. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 100,225.

While driving at highway speeds at nightcomplete electrical shut down, engine must be restarted. This is happeningsporadically ,

Some type of rumbling noise and feeling at driver side wheel. Rotor scored on front driver side, but smooth on front passenger side. While in motion.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving approximately 50 mph downhill, the vehicle violently shook and the steering column vibrated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but could not be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,700.

Driving along and the car stalled and would not go forward or backgroundit would not excel like it was nit getting gas; the car was in motion and stalled

I observed the steering controls were not working for the radio or any other controls associated with the buttons on the steering wheel while driving to work. I could not change the menu for the speedometer and other functions when parked. I also could not use the horn at all which i consider a safety feature. After doing some research i found that this exact same problem was recalled for the grand caravan for earlier models but not for this vehicle. I made an appointment with chrysler for the repair but the soonest they could take me was in approximately a month, august 14. Since i travel to and from work at night alone and with three young children, i had the repair done immediately at a local reputable repair shop. The part replaced was the steering wheel module and the part alone was $469 plus labor. The total cost was over $750 for which i have the repair bill. This is a faulty design to a part that is closed up in the steering wheel and has failed for no apparent reason in the same model car from dodge/chrysler and from what i have read, jeep brand as well. Not acceptable.

The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or diagnosed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 300.updated 8/19/15the consumer stated when the rear seat passenger had the head restraints up, the visibility from the rear view mirror was almost non-existent. The consumer could only rely on the side mirrors.updated 05/10/16.

The paint on the lower edge of the hood has bubbled and has started rusting. With only 29k miles , this is very unacceptable.

About 1 year ago, a piece of metal door trim came off the front passenger door of our vehicle while in motion.since it wasn't covered under warranty, we had to pay for parts and labor to have the piece replaced (~$150).on wednesday 10/9/19, the same type of trim came off on the driver's side door of the same vehicle while my wife was traveling down an interstate.fortunately, in both instances, neither piece struck another vehicle.aside from the fact that the piece is not covered under warranty (the vehicle has passed the manufacturer warranty period) and costs more for some reason even though it appears to be the same type of trim as on the passenger side door, the bigger concern is that a piece of trim like this that becomes loose and falls off at a high rate of speed is an obvious safety hazard to other motorists.therefore, i contacted the dealership to alert them to this issue.i was told by the dealership that they too have identified this as an issue as well with other similar vehicles and have forwarded the issue up to corporate.unfortunately, corporate doesn't feel that such an issue rises to the level of a safety recall - yet it happened twice on our vehicle alone.corporate also said that they will not cover the cost of the piece to be replaced because of the vehicle being out of warranty.in my personal opinion, whether a vehicle is in or out of warranty doesn't negate or even lessen the hazard and potential impacts associated with that hazard - especially on a vehicle that is only 3 1/2 years old. My best assessment of the cause of this incident appears to be related to the trim design and the manner in which it is installed on the door.it also appears that, over time, vibrations from the vehicle while it is in motion may cause the trim piece to loosen and ultimately fail.

Thank you!

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the body trim panel detached from the vehicle while driving 50 mph. The manufacturer stated that there was no recall. Having issues with the side doors. It does not want to open or close. Both side doors are having this issue.

Rear passenger side door does not latch properly some of the time. Most the times it does it when the vehicle is stationary. But has happened when i hit a bump driving down the road.

My engine needs to be replace.the dealer says the upper rod has damaged the engine and the engine needs to be replace ($5200.00).also, the actuator in the right sliding door had to be replaced.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the rear sliding door did not open. The vehicle was taken to courtesy ford (3533 n vermilion st, danville, il 61832) where it was determined that the door actuator needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 53,000.

The contact owns a 2015 chrysler town and country. While driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle began to pull towards the right independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the four tire rims were replaced and an alignment was performed. The failure persisted after the repair. Bolts were missing and loose on stablizer bar causing me to loose control of the car. Was lucky no damage just a scare, but could have been bad.

A 2015 chrysler town and country van from miami, florida driven only in non-salt, snow conditions of florida has total corrosion of strut tower and strut accessories to the point that strut is not connected due to the corrosion and perforation of strut tower connection points. Contact chrysler having pre-purchased a lifetime maximum care guarantee for replacement and correction. Chrysler will not honor guarantee replacement claiming that guarantee is not extended to rust. Claimant claims that the extensive level of corrosion for a care from the state of florida with that level of corrosion is a manufacturer defect directly related to the design or manufacturer defect for the corrosion resistant finish applied to the strut tower or design of the strut tower that ponds or captures water with way to effectively drain the tower leading to corrosion on a compromised surface treatment that creates a life safety hazard from the corrosion of preformation of strut tower connection points on a vehicle that is less than five years old. With chrysler not taking responsibility for the correction or replacement of the defective components. Cost of repair at chrysler dealership is $1,800.00.

Was on a busy highway and the weld holding the stabilizer bracket to the axle separated about causing a very serious accident andcausing the car to be un drivable and having to be towed. Car was in perfect condition before this happened.

My transmission. Do not buy from safford dealership in warrenton va!!!! or chrysler or do not buy the warranty, it is a rip off. They charge you and than don't honor it!! they tell many lies to get out of paying for the repairs and to get out of the warranty have already paid for. I have bought many cars and would never recommend chrysler!!look at all the other reviews before buying.

Noise coming from engine every time i go over 55 speed, also noise from windshield as if there is air coming into the car. Noise from speakers as the car speeds

I purchased subject vehicle from car max in sep/oct 2018 and was told there was a recall on the windshield due to defect glue being used for installation.i brought the vehicle to premier chrysler dealership in new orleans, al who kept the vehicle for a month without making the repair saying that a needed part was on backorder.i made a complaint with chrysler corporation about two months ago as the dealership still has not contacted me to return the vehicle for the repair.they too indicated that the installation kit is on back order.it is nearly 6 months with no word, followup anything from the dealership. All this waiting on an installation kit.their are windshield repair places that can repair a windshield in a matter of minutes why can't the dealership?

Blind spot detection sensor issues. Dashboard error message states "service blind spot system".the issue is the blind spot warning signal constantly comes on with chime although their are no vehicles around the van.issue occurs when stationary, in motion no matter where driveway, city street or highway.

Automatic sliding door engaged and trapped arm of child requiring 2 adults to forcefully open.child trapped for more than 1 minute.

Engine hesitates and transmission jerks upon accelerating and at times during normal highway and /or stop and go traffic.complained to dealership where car was purchased twice (locates on route 60 brandon fl) and response was no issues encountered. Mind you manufacturer warranty is about to expire.

This is an addendum to complaint # 11361493.the actual date was the previous date, 09/25/2020.no other restraints or air bags deployed, only the front passenger head restraint.there were two people in the car, the driver and front passenger.the passenger was wacked by the head restraint but did not receive any injury.the local chrysler dealer stated to replace the head restraint would cost $680. This is the status to date 10//09/2020.

I have my car for 2 years , it drive fine and yet i have an engine light on all the time, transmission is very good and so is the engine, my car was checked several time by mechanic and no problem has been detected . Yet the engine light is still on cannot pass inspection

Rear air conditioning evaporator piping leaking freon 134a into car. Dye checked and found it was in tubing not at a joint. Should be manufacturer defect

I have started having problems with the drivers side heat not wanting to warm up while the passenger side still gets hot. After a while of letting the heat run on defrost you can turn the heat to the vents and the drivers side will be luke warm while the passenger is still hot.

Driver seat active headrest deployed while parked overnight. The plastic bracket that holds the spring-loaded release in place broke.

Drivers side headrest deployed while driving at 50 mph on highway 64in florida strikeing me in the back of the head.it hit me very hard and caused great confusion until i figured out what happened

While moving the front passenger seat backward, the active head restraint on the front passenger side set off. While looking inside the headrest, broken plastic was observed. The vehicle was stationary (in park and turned off) at the time of incident.

Driving down the road and the drivers head rest separated. Is still hinged at bottom but remains separated. Cannot be pushed back together. *asconsumer stated the following email and attachments for escalated for ticket # 200528:attaching photos of broken plastic parts inside headrest. Vehicle was being drivendown the road when headrest separated and hit driver in the back of the head. Noinjury's. No accident involved. I think this should be considered defective and replaced or recalled. This headrest is expensive to replace. It broke thru no fault of the owner and should not have broken due to age or abuse. The vehicle has 10k miles even though it is out of the 3 year warranty. It really is owned and driven by an 84 year old woman to church and walmart. It is not abused. It looks like it came off the showroom floor.

Radio/dvd don't work out nowhere .. Start worked stays on for a few seconds they goes off..

While driving on highway (approx 70 mph), right front michelin defender tire sidewall blew out destroying tires and almost causing crash, but pushing car into ditch on side of road. These tires were a year and a half old and had approximately 30,000 miles on them.

Rear evaporator core corroded and leaked.needed replacement as the ac was no longer working.69,000 miles. Both the repair shop (midas) and an auto dealer confirmed that this is a common problem - and both independently commented on bad design - that the core is directly exposed to road salt and undercarriage moisture, fostering corrosion.repair cost was $849.72.

Front passenger headrest deployed while driving 15 mph on smooth side street.no impact whatsoever.

My car was towed to the dealership on july 7, 2020 because it would not start or respond to anything. I was told the battery needed to be replaced and was called to pick the car up on july 10, 2020. When getting in the vehicle, i needed to adjust my head rest. I couldn't get it to where i could be comfortable and reclined the seat to keep my neck from bumping the head rest. After 2 weeks of this, i was putting stuff on the floor behind the seat, looked up and saw that the head rest was popped out. I tried to put it back and it would not budge. After researching this online, i found a lot of reported instances of this type of head rest deploying when the car was parked or while idle. There are youtube videos showing how to reset the head rest. When i took it to the dealership, they said my head rest was broken and would require removing the seat to replace it with a new one for over $900. The passenger side has the same type of head rest. It could deploy at any time. I don't feel safe driving this car. The dealership left a voice message saying my warranty has expired and that i am responsible for getting it fixed. I bought this vehicle used with under 16,000 miles on it. It now has under 41,000 miles on it. It passed inspection. At no time was i informed of a problem with these head rests, but there is a lot of detailed information about these head rests malfunctioning. They are on many chrsyler, dodge and jeep models between 2011 to 2018 give or take a year. My car was fine when i last drove it, but it was not fine when i picked it up. There is no indication of what triggered this. Only one of the two front head rest deployed. I believe a safety recall could save lives and serious injuries from happening. I believe the manufacturer has known about this defect for quite some time and failed to inform the consumers who own vehicles with these specific head rests.

The locks on 3 of the doors quit working. The right side sliding door was stuck on unlock, not able to lock the door. The left sliding door is stuck on lock, cannot open the door. The front passenger door, needs to be unlocked 3 times before it releases.

I haven't reached 50,000 miles yet but my fuel injector has gone bad. While driving my engine light came on then the car started to vibrate.i checked the manual and it didn't help. I've called several to the location closes to me and the location i brought it from.i have not received any information on the problem.

Cruise control does not hold a steady speed on hills, even small hills like we have in michigan. The speed drops 3-4 mph as it goes uphill (very unsafe for those traveling behind us), then it downshifts and accelerates 5-7 mph (very unsafe for those traveling in front of us). Every time the vehicle has been in the dealership i mentioned it. I called chrysler (i taught automotive so i have graduate connections at chrysler). Their answer is that is normal.no other vehicle that i have owned, ever, had this problem, all the way back to the eighties. I have talked with others with the same year vehicle and they have the same problem.

The cruise control button doesn't always turn the cruise control on or off.i sometimes have to use the break to turn it off.when turning it off, the cancel and even the off button don't do anything.i have the same issues when i'm trying to turn it on.the button to make it go faster or slow down seem to work.it's the on/off and the cancel buttons that don't seem to work.i put today's date below, but it's always been like this.it also happens at a variety of speeds.

That's why i decided to call on aaa towing service even because it didn't work out. Need your help and assistance regarding this matter.

Engine hesitates and transmission jerks upon accelerating and at times during normal highway and /or stop and go traffic.complained to dealership where car was purchased twice (locates on route 60 brandon fl) and response was no issues encountered. Mind you manufacturer warranty is about to expire.

Driving on interstate with cruise control on. Pressed on gas to pass vehicle and when i let off of gas, vehicle kept accelerating.stepped on brake multiple times and turned cruise control off & vehicle still accelerated up to 92 mph.a red lightening bolt like item showed on the display.finally, after multiple attempts, the cruise control disengaged.there is a recall through chrysler for this very issue but the town & country is not part of the recall.dealer said there is no code that shows up so they don't know what to do about it.contacted chrysler and they said they would get back to me and suggested i not use cruise control (wasn't planning on use it!).i told them that not using cruise control is okay temporarily but is not a permanent fix.

One of the continental crosscontact lx tires 225/65 17 purchased in may has been leaking air and the sidewall is splitting because of the tire going flat. This started 1 month after purchasing them.i would like all 4 tires replaced free of charge. If you replace one tire they won't match. There have been numerous complaints from other consumers regarding the same issue. My best method of contact is via email.

Vehicle was in motion on a highway.my 2015 town and country was not equipped with aspare tire. We hit a stone that punctured the side wall of a front tire. There was no way the compressor provided with the vehicle would inflate the tire. There needs to be a spare tire in a vehicle. The first half dozen cars i owned had a full size spare. Since then they had econo spares (donuts). The last time i had a flat, i was able to change tires and make it home. The puncture i encountered this time happened 11:00 pm, no one to give assistance. Nearest towing service was 20 miles away. Why was car companies allowed to make a spare tire a $350 option? the fancy pump they provides that comes with a recharge canister cost more than a spare tire. You people require seat belts and air bags. What happened to the safety spare? what would my wife have one if i wasn't there. No spare is more dangerous than no seat belt. Do a safety recall and require the addition of safety spare tires. My wife could have changed the tire.ron shoemaker

Left rear tire (michelin radial x green energy saver a/s dot m33t 00kx 4014, p 225 65r17), massive blowout failure). No more than 22,000 miles on it. Outside sidewall shredded. Tread area remained intact. Speed about 35 mph, air temp mid 70's. Did not see any nail or screw penetrating tread. Was in stop and go traffic on cross bronx expressway heading to gw bridge, 9:15 am sunday when blowout occurred.was able to safely get to roadside and used call box to call for a tow truck. Car was not equipped with a spare tire so had to buy a new one.
