Evaporator core failed.

Roof rack and attached load separated from the vehicle at highway speed without warning causing load to fly off into operating lanes of traffic. The load was secured to the roof rack using heavy duty webbing. It is not possible to secure load to sides rails- only through cross members. Cross members attach to side rails via tab and slot mechanism made of plastic. The side rails are also made of plastic. The cross members broke through the slots in the side rails taking the still secured load with them. The property damage includes my estimate for the cost of roof rack replacement and loss of personal property.

The contact owns a 1994 chrysler town and country.the contact was driving 55 mph when fuel begin to leak onto the engine.the contact believed that the failure was caused by a faulty o-ring. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for inspection or repairs. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign i.d. Number: 00v268000 (fuel system, gasoline: fuel injection system) but the vehicle was not included in the recall.the failure mileage was 204,000.

My wife mentioned that the vehicle smelled like gas.upon investigation, noticed that fuel rail was wet with fuel.at this point, car was taken out of service, when rail was dry, started engine to nvestigated leak.fuel was noticed leaking from joints where the rails are connected to each other.repairs has not been completed at this time.i have been considering sealing with a fuel tank sealant...as i have seen this noticed on web forums.

Smelled fuel, opened hood to find fuel dripping from the fuel injector rail. The fuel injection delivery system leaks fuel from some of the sealing o-rings or from hair line cracks in thefuel injection rail. Causing a fire hazard. This problem has been addressed on other chrysler 3.8l engines but not the 1994 town and country. Spoke to chrysler rep and was told they would not help since there is no recall on this vehicle for this only on over 1.2 million similar chryslers

The vehicle had gas fumes leaking throughout the vehicle. The gas smell became overwhelming when the vehicle was driven for awhile. The consumer took the vehicle into the dealer, the mechanic indicated the fuel rail was leaking gas. Please provide further information.

The retaining straps broke off the fuel tank and was repaired.

I took my car to get it smog tested and the guy told me it wasn't going to pass because he showed me where the fuel rail was leaking gas and told me to get it fixed and bring it back. I know there was a recall from 1996 and up but what about my van. I drove my van and it started smoking so i had to call a tow truck and have it towed home so it didn't catch fire.

I have had two problems with the door latches. The first problem was with the drivers side door. The plastic coating wore off the latch and caused it to stick in the open position, therefore not allowing the door to close. Occasionally the door would close and then get stuck in the closed position. I finally had to have the latch replaced and i have had no problems with that latch since. Now, 8 months later, the side sliding door has the same exact problem. The door will appear to be fully closed and then fly open while driving. Other times it will not open. I will be replacing this latch soon and i am just waiting for the front passenger side latch to fail.i have spoke to numerous people and this seems to be a pattern with this vehicle.

Consumer states six months after purchasing vehicle the latch on the driver's side door did not work, consumer took to vehicle to mechanic and was told that the hinge was broken, mechanic repaired the latch and hinge were repaired, however six months later the problem reoccured consumer then took vehicle to another vehicle and the latch and hinge were repaired again, three months later it broke again, consumer has not had it repaired and now the passenger side hinge and latch are showing the same symptoms.

Transmission started shifting really rough around 116,000. Previous owner replaced the transmission. When they sold it to us at around 150,000, the transmission started shifting hard again. Now at 169,000 it shifts back and forth between 2nd and 3rd gears and is very rough. When shifting into reverse, it clunks. This is after we even took it in and had transmission fixed. No good.

Vehicle gave no indication of a transmission problem and then one day just stopped functioning at all.when purchased the warranty offered was either the 3/36 or the 12/12 & 7/70.we chose 3/36 which was benificial at one point since we had continuous problems with the computer system in the vehicle and it took almost a year for them to finally take care of that problem..my concern is do we have any options other with any pending issues due to the history of the minivan transmissions?are the any avenues we can take so as not to have to pay the 2,500 to fix the transmission?

Transmission failed. Mjs

The re-build was not done by a chrysler dealer due to the original dealers extreme rudeness on another matter regarding re-painting the front bumper.we felt if they were that rude about a $300 re-paint under warranty (which another dealer did take care of) they how could we trust them to help us with a major transmission problem?we basically just want to buy a new town & country with an extended warranty at no additional charge.we think this is fair due to the transmission going out twice in six years.this transmission is known to be a "problem child".we just didn't know that at the time.it's a hindsight 20/20 thing.have asked our dealer to put something together for us with the extended warranty at no charge but are not getting anywhere.i think it's fair to ask.i would not purchase the vehicle without the added protection.i don't trust chrysler's product enough for that.i do enjoy the amenities it offers.it's difficult to find a mini-van with the comfort it offers.

Sudden downshift/deceleration-transmission locked in 2nd gear - total transmission failure requiring $1500 rebuild. Still exhibits delayed shifting and sometimes poor acceleration due to delayed downshifts. Chrysler's only comment...
