My two biggest concerns are the door panels and passenger air bag. I saw the same make and model as my car yesterday and the same door panel was missing on that car also. This is a very dangerous problem. The door panel simply blew off as we were going down the road, posing a threat for others on the road. The passenger panel is loose. The passenger air bag looks as though it is about to deploy. The corners are turned up. People are afraid to ride in my front seat due to the danger the air bag could deploy. These are both safety issues. I hope you will consider a recall and replacement of door parts. Thank you.

As i was leaving i put my car on reverse to drive off.i pushed the gas pedal it took off and hit a pole.what i mean by took off is that i only had a small area to reverse in so i gently pushed the pedal and it like jerked and at a faster pace reversed into the pole.i then had to put it in drive to move it away from wrecked pole i put the car on drive then i pushed the pedal to drive away the car alone went at a high rate of speed i could not control it to stop it.i hit the brakes and it did stop.i even lift the emergency brakes.not even did the air bags come out.from there my car was taken by the chp to investigate.from there my car was taken to the body shop.i did not recieve my car from there until abouth 6 months later.i drove it home.then my car acted strange when i came to a stop sign scared like heck i drove it to the chp and told the officer i wanted to know if they okayed my car before it went to the body shop cause it was going to do what it did again.another day i was going to wal mart.i felt it again act strange then this time my car caught on fire under the hood.i parked it there.we left , wentto check the car when we started it up the car was on park and accelerated to the highest speed my car has.we were in shock.that's what happened when my car throgh the house it accelerated at a fast speed.my car was towed to another shop they worked on the electrical that burned they fixed it.a couple of months after that.i was driving home and another strange situation it wanted to die at the stop sign.i made just in time home.i got off my car it smelled like burnt i thaught my electrical and accelerator no the pully that holds the belts fell off.it was on the garage floor.the screw broke off with the pully.and it was burned in the area where it happened.my car continues to have many problems.my car was about five years old when problems occurred.the nex 5 yrs.it's only served a total of a year of driving.i

Horn failed.

Premature wear of front brake pads, replace dworn out tires, also anti-theft alarm deploys at will and one horn is defective.

Backed out of driveway put car in drive, wouldn't move. Shifted to drive 1 still no go, drive 2 still no go. Put back in park shifted to drive and it was fine. The key removal problem has been ongoing, i've just had the car two weeks, have to shift out of park and push it very hard into park to get my key out.

Consumer's car caught on fire at the gasoline station .the fuel line compression connection point had a fuel leak, whichcausedfuel to be ignited by the heat within the engine.

The abs light came on and stayed on, i took it to a dealership and the replaced a $5.00 wire for about $150.00. The next day the car was jerking and losing power and the abs light was going on and off. I then took it to a different dealership and it took them all day from 8am till 5pm to find out it was the abs hydraulic component for the front brakes. It cost $1600.00 dollars more to fix it. These brakes have been nothing but problems this car has now been in the shop 2 times for new brakes and 2 times for the abs. It still shakes when you stop from speed faster than 30mph!

Consumer took vehicle to mechanic and was informed that the lower lateral arm ball joints needed replacement. *lathe air conditioner idler was replaced.when the consumer took the vehicle back to the dealer, the consumer was told when the air conditioner unit was replaced the recall regarding the lower lateral ball joints was performed, however the consumer was not aware that there was a recall or even that the work was done.the ball joints need to be replaced again, however the dealer stated it was the consumer's responsibility.

Rotten egg smell emmits from air conditioning vents when in use.

While driving engine check light came on & did not go off. Took vehicle to dealer & informed the "o" rings were defective & needed to be replaced.

I wish you would recall the fuel rail which connects to my chrysler sebring lxi 2.5 coupe,why, because it could cause a fire with just a spark it also leaks and i have my kids to think about.from what i've been told this happens to a lot of sebrings.i'd rather file a complaint before something terrible happens rather thenwait till its too late.

Dt:the injectors leaked.also,there was a fuel smell in the vehicle.was not sure what caused the leakage. The consumer found this out when he went to get the brakes repaired.the problem was found on september 26, 2005.the smell had been their for at least six months off and on.there have been no accidents as of yet.the vehicle has not been repaired as of yet.

Seat loose, cuts easily and numbers showing through fabric.

The joint in the seat that allows the seat to adjust is bolted to the internal frame of the back rest.the metal that the joint was bolted to failed.on inspection the metal was torn apart like you would tear paper.the bolt that had three spot welds to hold it in place on the internal back seat frame was no longer attatched.

The abs system failed. The component that failed is the hydraulic control unit. I feel that this component should have not failed in such a short time of the life of the car, and i would like a refund on the repair of this item from chrysler.

Car taken to dealership for anti-lock light on dashboard. Abs main relay replaced and light still stays on dash after payment of service. Whistling noise can be heard from passenger side at high speeds.

The cars bumper is too low and the bumper gets caught on parking logs and scrapes on the ground on speed bumps.

Hood not attached properly.

The support mechanism that is supposed to keep the trunk lid open, snapped out of place without warning and the lid slammed closed. This is a serious safety hazard! the lid is very heavy and can cause a serious injury to any person reaching under it to remove luggage, the spare tire, etc.. This is my daughter valerie's first car. The first time this happened she took it to the dealer and they snapped the mechanism back in place. It came off again in a few days. On 5/16/1999 i found out that the problem was still there and told my wife and my daughter to take the car to the dealer. They went to milton ruben chevrolet on 5/19/1999 with the car and showed the problem to mr. Cal reuber - manager at the body shop department.he examined the trunk and told us that the mechanism was worn out and that new parts had to be ordered. He insructed my wife to go to the front office. A lady named michelle came outside and wrote down the serial number, the model, color, etc.. She also wrote down my daughter's name and telephone number. She said that the she would call within a week. She never did. Today, i told my daughter to call and they seem not to have any information. Again she said she would call back. Never did. I told my wife and daughter to go to the dealer personnally. There mr. Cal reuber and ms. Michelle appeared to have a hard time remembering their promisses. I am concern that delay tactics are being used with us in order to make us wait until the expiration of the service contract at 60,000 miles avoiding to pay for the repair cost. I have looked at the mechanism and it is a very poor engineering design when compared with other chrysler cars. This is a serious safety hazard! please help us preventan unnecessary serious accident!please don't hesitate to contact me for more details if necessary. Thanks, rafael l. My 95 chrysler sebring has a squeaking noise on the passenger side towards the back tires i had it checked out they said the rubber piece on by ball joint is gone so the noise is from the metal rubbing and to be careful cause it can cause an accident if not fixed the balljoint will come off and tires. I also have a problem with my apr's shifting out of control while driving that i've almost had an accident couple times i have no choice but to drive the car that's all i have.

I have purchased 2 sets of new tires...michelin & goodyear.each time i try to get this vehicle aligned it will not drive straight at any speed. The tire company says it is any alignment problem and will not replace the tires due to the abnormal wear(only inside of tires worn). The car bounces all over the road during normal driving conditions. It seems to be a front end problem according to the alignment shop.

In july 1999, the dealer checked the lower control boot and the dealer did not replace the boot.now, the driver's lower control boot broke causing the wheel to fall off which may have cause a crash. Nhtsa recall 99v066033

On april 9, 2000, my vehicle lost control of itself due to a ball joint separation, since that accident occurred another has happen involing the lower arm control, no one is doing anything about this recall issue from chrysler, my back seat passenger suffered abnormal bleeding during during her pregnancy term and resulted in the loss of her infant while she was pregnaunt, will it take for one of the person insurued driving the car to have another mishap before they see this is a unsafe car to drive, please help me, something needs to be done.

In september of 1999, the front left lower control arm was replaced as specified in the recall notice(#97v201000).in january of 2000, the problem resurfaced and the same low pitch grinding noise i heard prior to the recall fix had returned .i promptly return the vehicle to the nearest dealership and advised them that i was having the same problem as i had in september.they inspected the front end and advised me that both lower control arms needed to be replaced.i informed the service adviser that i had this problem previously and that at least the left lower control arm had been replaced only a few months early.the service adviser then informed that this problem is no way related to the recall and i would be charge $1400to have the problem fixed.i have been to several dealerships but know one seems to want to resolved this problem without charging me a fortune.i have also called the chrysler recall hotline but they were just as bad as the dealerships.what is my next course of action to try and help resolve this problem?

There was a recall in 1997 on chrysler sebrings built from july 1994 to july 1995 for a lower control arm defect. The factory lubricated ball joint would dry out and the lower control arm would collapse. This happened to my 1995 sebring. I called chrysler and even though my car was built during that time they claim the vin # was not one of the recalls the insurance company is going to replace the part with a used 96 part, i am afraid it my be defective. Also, not the to mention the left control arm still on the car as original. I think the least they should do is once the part is on my car they should test the left and right side free of charge and replace them if they fail. I also should be re-imbrust for my $500.00 i had to pay my insurance company, because if that part did fail, it also caused the snapping of my half shaft on the left side. Please contact me with suggestions as to0 what i can do i feel i will be driving an unsafe car until i know for sure what happened.

Vehicle was involved in a low speed frontal collision. 2 years ago, while driving between 5-10 mph the right lower lateral ball joint broke in two, causing $10,000.00 in body repairs, recall repairs, all to the front end of my chrysler sebring.the local dealership had my car for 3months working on my car. I never received a recall notice!!! just minutes before i was on the interstate, we would have been killed. Now 2 years later and only 18,000 miles later my car is making a noise in the wheel. I take it back to the dealership and they say it is the ball joint ,( the other side) they said it is a non serviceable , it has rust and is dry. The dealership told me my car is not safe to drive!!!!!that the wheel could fall off again!!! but the part is not defective yet!!!! when is it defective?????? when i"m killed in a wreck???????i called chrysler , they said the dealership overcharged and they will not pay anything else, the dealership says they won't fix it unless authorized by chrysler, so here i am with a car that i can not drive and a car payment and car insurance. My car only had half the recall done< the side that is making noise now was never replaced< the dealership told me i had a whole brand new front end!!!i have a car that i do not feel safe in and i can not even get it fixed under a recall notice , my car would have been cheaper to buy back than put all that money into it ($10,000) and now with only 18,000 miles fromthe first repairs , i don"t feel safe at all driving my car!!!! my car has sat for months , i need this problem resolved , i'm tired of all the run arounds and excuses , it is a safety recall!!!!!

Consumer took vehicle to mechanic and was informed that the lower lateral arm ball joints needed replacement. *lathe air conditioner idler was replaced.when the consumer took the vehicle back to the dealer, the consumer was told when the air conditioner unit was replaced the recall regarding the lower lateral ball joints was performed, however the consumer was not aware that there was a recall or even that the work was done.the ball joints need to be replaced again, however the dealer stated it was the consumer's responsibility.

On 06-28-03 i was driving my car at a speed of 35 mph, while driving my lower ball joint broke and my car lost controll. I was later informed of the recall on the lower ball joint, which i was never informed of, and was never repaired. I took my vehicle directlyto a chrysler dealership on that same day 06-28-03. They have had my car for over three weeks now and i have yet to be informed of what will exactly happen as far as repairs go. There was significant body damage not to mention any other damages that happened while my car was dragging on the ground. I have been getting the runaround by the company even though this is a known recall by them. I would appreciate any help from the nhtsa in resolving this matter in a more timely matter then chrysler is currently.

The contact owns a 1995 chrysler sebring. She stated that while driving 10 mph when the whole wheel and the ball joints came off of the axle, the vehicle fell on the ground. The vehicle was towed to a local auto shop to diagnose the failure. The mechanic stated that it was the ball joint cv axle that failed. No repairs have been made.the dealer was contacted and they gave her a case number stating that someone would call her back . Nhtsa campaign id number,00v421002,suspension front control arm, lower ball joint is related to the failure; however, chrysler stated that they would inform her if the vehicle qualifies. The failure and current mileages were 152,000.

Consumer received recall notification (97v201000) to have repairs done, when consumer picked the vehicle up she was informed nothing was wrong, however as consumer proceeeded home a noise began to emit front the front end of the vehicle, vehicle was taken back to the dealer but nothing was done to alleviate the problem, the vehicle was then taken to a nearby garage and that is when consumer was informed that the lower lateral arm ball joints were bad, even though the dealer stated nothing was wrong and the recall had been successfully done.

Recall 97v20100o; was driving approximately5mph when a dip in road appeared. Drove through dip & the entire front end had collapsed. The vehicle was inspected by dealer prior to sale & no problem. Had vehicle towed to dealer. The upper ball joints had separtated. Had no steering or control of vehicle. The manufacturer was notified. Informed owner it should not have happened. Would be calling owner back.

While driving consumer hard a rubbing noise,like brakes were dragging.took vehicle to dealer, and they said it waswheel bearing hub. Consumer could see one wheel bearing assembly failing, but both goingat the same time, he felt it was not normal.
