Apparently head gasket failure is a common problem with neons of this vintage.of course, you don't find out until it happens to you.
While drivingvehicle stalls unexpectedly which may cause a crash.also has a no start condition at times.been to dealer several times,and deale rcannot determine the cause.please provide further information and vin#.
Fuel rail and o-rings failed prior to recall notice resulting in fuel leaking from the engine.
The contact owns a 1996 chrysler new yorker. The contact stated that while driving various speeds, an extremely strong odor of fuel emitted continuously inside of the vehicle. A fuel leak was not visible. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and an independent mechanic, who both stated that the fuel injector o-rings would need to be replaced. The vehicle was previously repaired under nhtsa campaign id number 98v1840000 (fuel system, gasoline). The failure recurred and the manufacturer refused to repair the vehicle a second time. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was unavailable.
Transmission failed.
At the slightest touch of the restraints they become unlatched. Please provide additional information.
Was parking vehicle with foot on brakes; felt vehicle sliding. The front brakes were gone when the brake pedal was applied. It went completely to the floor. Did not hit anything. Will be taking vehicle to dealer.
Had to have break lines replaced-they removed cross member to access line and removed and manufacture tube and replace. $442.91 for 5 hours of labor and parts---my car was the 7th car in one week to need thisexpensive repair from a chrysler car. Garage tells me this is due to calcium on roads or cheap steal from chrysler. I feel due to poor quality of the chrysler product-- "help me out."
I have had to replace the brake line multiple times over a six month period, and also the unibody has rusted out and i am unable to drive the vehicle.i was wondring if there has been a recall on this vehicle.
Improper assembly caused steering sector to come apart resulting in one wheel being straight and one being completely turned.
Consumer stated that whiledriving there wastoo much play insteering, and steeringwas too loose.she took the vehicle to a mechanic, and was told that the rack and pinion/ inner tie rod, and bushings were too loose. Consumer will take the vehicle to a dealer later.
When turning the vehicle thewheel vibrates, causing the center mounting bolt to come loose. Owner has replaced the rack and pinion twice prior to this.the dealer has been notified.
