Electrical wiring malfunctioned, causing stalling while in motion or an inoperative park/starter interlock system prior to recall (94v-024).
The right steering tie rod can rubbed though the automatic transmission wiring harness, causing a short circuit. Vehicle not included in recall 94v024000. When car is left in park and later turned back on, it starts in reverse.the cause of this problem was not found, but the steering column ignition assembly was replaced. *ml

While traveling 55mph; steering was hard to control/ difficult to turn andvery stiff.rack & pinion was cause of problem.also, vehicle not shifting into park. Transmission line leaked fluid. Coupling was causing a leak between rubber tubing which was inserted into metal tubing.in addition, fuel rail would also leak/ abs brakes started to lock up when applied/ water pump was leaking water, and door strap needed to be replaced due to being opened & closing hard. Taking vehicle to dealer to correct major problems.

The nyer was pitched down when it contacted the bumper of a s-10 pickup truck. We have sheet metal damage to the hood, left fender and everything above the bumper line, including ac coil, radiator, fan, etc. She was uninjured. Neither air bag deployed. The system check at engine start has always been exactly as described in the operator's handbook. My question is, shouldn't the airbags have deployed? if they should have, why didn't they and how do i insure the system is operational before i return the car to service?

Owner contacted daimler chrysler twice with a complaint regarding dealer refusing to complete recall repair. Daimler chryslerhas yet to respond to complaint. Dealer indicated owner must have car towed or a storage fee of $15 per day will be inacted. Dealer reported employees of dealership will be able to purchase car for $100 if owner does not pickup car. Owner is requesting that recall be repaired without any charge.

I will never buy another chrysler product again.our car is in the shop more than it is on the road. And now there is a rattling noise when we start our vehicle. We have been told the engine is going.we have had our vehicle towed at least 4 times now. We have only had this vehicle for 1 year now.we have put 2,000 - 3,000 into this vehicle already and to top it off we purchased the drive train warranty which covered us for about 3 months.purchase price plus warranty plus all the problems = $13,300.

We have had an ongoing problem with the air conditioning in this vehicle. I have contacted chrysler numerous times and was never made aware that there was an ongoing problem with the air conditioners in these vehicles. I have never recieved any recall letters nor have i recieved the addendum to the basic warranty for the airconditioning. I have brought the vehicle into other chysler dealers since where i purchased the vehicle has closed. The dealer wanted to charge $1,500 to repair the airconditioning. I have contacted chrysler numerous times since 1995 regarding this problem and they have never offered any help, other than they are not responsible. We have put thousands of dollars into repairing the airconditioner and chrysler was made aware of these problems before the air was fixed. I was never told that chrysler was liable for these repairs. I have just spoken with chrysler and they refuse to help solve this problem. The evaporator in the car has been replaced two times and the pump has also. The vehicle only holds an airconditioning charge for 3 days. I would appreciate any help i can recieve in having chrysler look into this problem. I have contacted chrysler since 1995 on a yearly basis and they have offered no help what so ever. At this point they will not look at the air conditioning without charging me.i was also never made aware of the three recalls on my vehicle. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Bolts that hold the headlight assembly to vehicle are unable to be removed. Head light can not be removed. Bolt is secured by metal ancore in plactic frame. Ancore is turning in the plastic. Causes a safty hazard by being unable to replace burned out headlights..

High beams are at the level of low beams.steering linkage- has a thunking when accelerates from a stop sign at times and also at times when slowing down your speed under 30mph. Hood supports- had to be replaced at time of purchase and after 2 years needs to be replaced again. Steering- makes a whining sound at times when turning a corner. Back door/driver's side- sticks at times especially after driving at 55mph, hard to open. Oxygen sensor replacement 152.91throttle body injectors 139.98 for one & 84.99 for other. Trans. Cooler lines 133.88 tie rod ends w/alignment 197.00 water pump 409.74 timing belt tensioner 144.44 all these estimates come from a chrysler dealer/service person.

From what the dealer service rep told me there are multiple fuel leaks along the fuel injector rail which is causing gasoline to leak. I have researched this problem with this particular engine and found this to be a problem with the eagle vision (1993) vehicle.this car has the same engine as the new yorker (1994).the eagle was recalled to fix that problem.also i have researched the complaint database and found this particular problem many times on the new yorker and lhs. Why haven't these vehicles been recalled to fix this deadly problem?
Fuel rail crossover pipe developed a leak and sprayed fuel over top of engine.

Plastic fuel rail leaking fuel onto hot exhaust and engine. Where the fuel pressure test port attaches to the rail allows plastic tube to move and flex causing leakage at rail.

With the fuel leak we smelled a lite fuel oderat first when we started the car.the oder got stronger bythe end of the month. We recived a recall notice shortly after . We took the car in for repair on 4/7/99 for the recall & bc the tires wobbled & shook the car at 30-45 mph. Theyfound the left inner tie rod brushinhs were worn & tire rod flopping- they replaced the tire rod 7 left toe specs. They also found the transmission oil leaking from the cooler hose.--on 11/22/99i was reversing at 1 or 2 mph from a parkingspace & then as i tried to put the car in forward there was a violent jerking ,& shaking but the car would not move anywhere at all. Igot out to look & there was wheel berrings & thick grease all over the parking lot.my car was towed the next day to an auto mech shop & repars were done. Shortly after that we recived a recall notice forthe problem that we had repaired. We are still trying to get reimbursed from chrysler corp. For that incident. And asof today 6/25/00 we are having problems again with the front wheel wobbling & shaking the car when driven at 30-45 mph for about 3 or 4 weeks now. Weare currently saving money to have that repaired again. We have had other problems with the car but did not include them on the investigation report bc they were not life threating---such astrunk opening on own while driving-it was fixed but trunk open light on dash panel comes on & off when trunk is closed. --the a/c leaked water on passenger floor & has a bad oder when put on. Almost like urine.

Transmission sticks in low.
The right side frame member, where the lower control arm attaches broke away causing the tire and strut assembly to go into the fender, and pulled the cv joint apart at the transmission rendering the car undrivable, and unmovable. I was backing out of a parking space with the wheel turned to the left in the rain when i heard a loud bangand the car came to a stop, while banging continued. Then i turned the car off, and took a look, and saw that the right front tire into the fender and the bottom sticking way out. It could not be towed on a standard wheel kift tow truck.

I' have had 4 transmission in this vehicle.in each case the trasmission has had a torque converteer failure leaving the vehicle whti two gears, first and reverse.the last failure happened in the interstate at highway speeds. The transmission failed and the vehicle would not go over 30 mph. I have heard that this type of incident has happened to thousands of chrysler owners with 1993-1999 vehicles equiped with this transmission.

While traveling at 40 mph, the car reduced in speed, unable to acclerate, car would not move. Owner had car towed to dealer. Dealer did not advise owner of recall for transmission transaxle. Dealer states owner needs to repair transmission for $3000 before completing recall repair. Owner contacted daimler chrysler twice with a complaint regarding dealer refusing to complete recall repair. Daimler chryslerhas yet to respond to complaint. Dealer indicated owner must have car towed or a storage fee of $15 per day will be inacted. Dealer reported employees of dealership will be able to purchase car for $100 if owner does not pickup car. Owner is requesting that recall be repaired without any charge.

There is no safty interlock for the transmission.with the car off and no key there is an ability to shift into any gear, and car will roll into structures traffic.

The front seat tracks have plastic inserts in them. They have broken out of the tracks and have been found on the floor of the vehicle several times. I started finding these black plastic inserts when the car was in its second year of ownership. I bought the car used. I contacted chrysler and they said that they had not had any reports of this type, and would not participate in any repairs. The seats have become unstable on the tracks due to the fact that the inserts took up slack between the upper and lower half of the seat tracks. The seats will actually rock on their tracks. I question the safety of these seats without the inserts in them!

On 18 sep 2000, took my car down to the dealer upon receipt of recall # 883, "drivers power seat".the driver's seat does not go back and forth without pivoting sideways with the switch. The back of the seat upon leaning back goes towards the rear. Upon taking the car to the dealer for repair, they stated the seat track was not covered un der the recall and they wrote the part up for $500.00 and labor $110.00. However, the recall notice states if the seat adjuster pivot brackets and seat tracks is the problem, then the dealer will repair free of charge (parts and labor). I am very upsetthat i have received lessthan customer satisfaction and myself and family could be in danger with the seat not being stable. Dealer needs to be contacted to comply with recall #883.

Recall for power seat adjuster in 2012 , took the vehicle in three times and never got this replaced as i was told there were no parts, you would have to get out of the vehicle to move the power seat,on my last visit to the dealership in january 2013 i found that the wheels kept trying to go their own way so i went for a wheel alinement the shop showed me that the steering rack was in fact cracked in half, don't know how that came about but i paid for the replacement but still never heard from them about the adjuster, i still own this vehicle and have replaced many parts but i'm still waiting for the power seat adjuster.
Consumer had track guides of right and left front seats repaired 6-21-95 at 14,000 miles.at 32,000 miles the seat track guides broke again.
Head rest can not be raised high enough to properly protect people from whiplash injury in the case they are hit from behind.

Consumer took vehicle to dealer for the recall repair on the power seat adjuster, dealer informed consumer that the recall couldn't be completed because the seat track was not covered on the recall and this was the part that needed to be repaired on the consumers seat.

This is interrogative. My wife joined an accident in progress (no. 3 of 3 vehicles) becasue she couldn't stop in time. She was at 35 mph steady, said she had applied full braking. The nyer was pitched down when it contacted the bumper of a s-10 pickup truck. We have sheet metal damage to the hood, left fender and everything above the bumper line, including ac coil, radiator, fan, etc. She was uninjured. Neither air bag deployed. The system check at engine start has always been exactly as described in the operator's handbook. My question is, shouldn't the airbags have deployed? if they should have, why didn't they and how do i insure the system is operational before i return the car to service?

The right steering tie rod can rubbed though the automatic transmission wiring harness, causing a short circuit. Vehicle not included in recall 94v024000. With the fuel leak we smelled a lite fuel oderat first when we started the car.the oder got stronger bythe end of the month. We recived a recall notice shortly after . We took the car in for repair on 4/7/99 for the recall & bc the tires wobbled & shook the car at 30-45 mph. Theyfound the left inner tie rod brushinhs were worn & tire rod flopping- they replaced the tire rod 7 left toe specs. They also found the transmission oil leaking from the cooler hose.--on 11/22/99i was reversing at 1 or 2 mph from a parkingspace & then as i tried to put the car in forward there was a violent jerking ,& shaking but the car would not move anywhere at all. Igot out to look & there was wheel berrings & thick grease all over the parking lot.my car was towed the next day to an auto mech shop & repars were done. Shortly after that we recived a recall notice forthe problem that we had repaired. We are still trying to get reimbursed from chrysler corp. For that incident. And asof today 6/25/00 we are having problems again with the front wheel wobbling & shaking the car when driven at 30-45 mph for about 3 or 4 weeks now. When the vehicle is runningpower locks make clicking sound as though someone was opening & closing.also, interior lights flicker on/off. Manufacturer &dealer seem to think this isn't a problem.
Door seal defect prevented opening of door, indirectly causing safety hazard, since mychildwas repeatedly forced to exit car on drivers side into oncoming traffic. Several technical service bulletins over severalyears have referred to this problem but dealer refused to replace defective door seal without charge.i believe that adoor stuck shut is indeed a safety hazard and should be investigated as such. Hood support does not lock in place when hood is open due to design, resulting in unexpected collapsing of hood when opened.
Openned hood to refill wiper fluid, moments later while driving at approx. 45mph, suddenly hood flew up, shattering windshield, when hydralic hinge broke off.

I was backing out of a parking space with the wheel turned to the left in the rain when i heard a loud bangand the car came to a stop, while banging continued. Then i turned the car off, and took a look, and saw that the right front tire into the fender and the bottom sticking way out. It could not be towed on a standard wheel kift tow truck.

Consumer heard rattling in the rear end. As he drove more and more, and went under vehicle where bolt connects to the pivot point for the trailing arm, he discoveredbolt was sticking out about 2inches, andthat was causing the noise.
