This car has had 5 map sensors instaled in the past 2 years. Other sensors have also failed when the map sensor failed. This problem has created a great hazard while driving. The car cuts off and goes dead on straight roads, turns or going up or downhill.
Pcv valve stopped,then vent tube was blowen in on housing. This resulted in motor oil coming through vent contacting exhaust manifold and starting a fire. Please describe details.

Consumer contacted chrysler, and was told an upgrade would need to be done at consumer's cost.the consumer believes the transmission was defective and the manufacturer should be responsible for replacing it or upgrading it.

Both driver's side and passenger's side doors have separated from body of vehicle on two different occasions, and have been welded back on.dealer has been contacted, 1 door repaired by dealer, other door at owner's expense. Vehicle also experiencing transmission problems--internal part broke loose and flew through the housing.repaired at owner's cost. *ml
Car had about 14,000 miles on it when purchased from the dealer who sold it originally.it has not been abused! door failed, making it impossible to exit, without crawling over the armrest to exit from passenger side, or lowering the top to exit out the window.travis disavowed any knowledge of any problems with this model, so repairs were undertaken after completion of move out-of-state, at mclain's body shop where he pointed out failed hinge and noted that that design flaw is "common" with this model.repairs, even with used door were $1690.01.transmission was replaced twice, under warranty, but the second time, at about 99,500 miles.the window motor will not lower the window.

While driving at 35 mph and without no prior warning the transmission went out, causing alot of rmp to move the vehicle, and the vehicle was jerking forward.
Purchased the car with 75,000 miles on it. Thought it might last alittle while. I have had to replace the battery, alternator, front wheel bearings, transmission leak, and now the transmission doesn't work! grinds when i put it into reverse, and all the other gears nothing happens. I also just put a new filter and fluid in three months ago.

Transmission shakes violently for first several blocks in cold weather.dealer installed remanufactured transmission on 11/10/98.problem became worse.besides severe shaking during the first several blocks in cold weather, the car now lunges forward when coming to a stop as though it is hit from the rear; these problems disappear as the drive train warms.dealer said that they drove the car for 59 miles (although the problem is only in the first mile or so) and did not detect a problem.they said to wait for the problem to worsen as the weather grows colder.

Possible defect of transimission was repaired at 37,706 miles. Replacements were done to the filter to correct problem. However,there were many service bulletins issued due to transmission failure, complete overhaul required at 42000.

While driving vehicle the rear axle broke. Owner notes that this occurs every 50,ooo miles with these vehicles.owner is very concerned for safety.
I believe the cracked rear axel is plainly a manufacturers defect and should be replaced or repaired at no charge.
Our auto repair mechanic replaced the tag axel on our 1994 lebaron. He also stated that there was two other lebarons in the same area where i live with the same problem. I find this a little unusal. The auto repair mechanic also placed a call to a chrysler parts dealer to inquire the price of a new lag axel. Before the mechanic could state the model of carthe parts dealer told the mechanic what model and type of car.the back of the car was making a noise,the lag axel was cracked. If left undetected or repaired it could of caused serious injurys.as i l
Vehicle was taken in for regular inspection and noticed rear wheel bearings were defective. Cause unknown.
When going up an embankment car was changing to neutral and then to 1st gear.took to dealer for annual inspection, and dealer said that lip seal that held pressurewas not holding, and was causing transmission to downshift unexpectedly. Problemstill occurring.
The front passenger seat belt is automatic. The seatbelt would not work or engage properly.

The gentelman who gave the estimate said the hinges were not strong enough for the door when manufactured.

The metal to which the door hinges are attached tore, causing the hinge to break and the door to drop and when the door was opened it seriously damaged the front fender. It is my suspicion that the door metal is too thin.

Consumer states that the driver and passenger side doors are coming apart at the hinges making the door loose. Contacted dealer and the dealer is not willing to do anything.
Driver's side door has to be lifted up in order to be closed. The hinges have loosened up from the body of the vehicle which caused the door not to shut properly.dealer is aware of the problem. Drivers side rear window would not go down.there was water in the front and rear floor on the drivers side.the dealer had to replace the motor on the window because the drainage hole was not big enough to allow the water to drain out and there were gallons of water being retained in the rear panel of the vehicle.i was told that this was a recall item in other years but not in mine and that it had too many miles for chrysler to do anything.i feel if the design was not poor the water would have drained out and i would not have had to pay $314 for a new motor on the window.
