When driving in heavy traffic took foot off accelerator to lightly apply the brakes the vehicle stopped without warning. Vehicle was towed to dealership, dealer could not find problem, and performed regular maintenance.
While driving insnow serpentine belt would become dislodged due to snow getting inside of engine. Taken to dealership & informed consumer of a factory defect.serpentine belt neededreplacing. No way to block snow from getting into engine.
When driving on snow covered roads, snow causes serpentine belt to slip off.

Consumer was idling in a traffic jam when noticed that the gas gauge was dropping and smelled of fuel. The fuel was being pressurized and spraying out, there was a puddle developing as consumer moved slowly during traffic jam.
Contact states:1993chrysler lebaron gasoline under carriage or line developed a leak is suspected.has not taken this to a dealer or mechanic.just noticed this yesterday. Can smell gas and see leakage, infact it lost a quarter of a tank within 20 miles while on the highway.

Odometer / speedometer readings are 10% high, this requires constant re-calculation of speed while driving. Police have stopped car for going under speed limit.
While driving about 50 mph heard a noise that came from under vehicle. Then, transmission locked up, and vehicle had to be towed. *ml
The transmission has been rebuilt twice and replaced entirely once within the last year.
Consumer parked car in the driveway, the gear shifted out of park,rolled down driveway and hit tree.
Transmission went into "limp-home" mode (locked in 2nd gear. Also showed slippage in r-d shift. Mechanic diagnosed problem as failure in internal valving. He also found a dscarded cigarette bet in the valve body. Transmission not repairable. Replaced transmission and transmission sensors, to the tune of $2,800. Spoke to chrysler's customer relations department before authorizing repair. They flatly refused to offer any goodwill adjustment, because i was second owner. Howover, i have original owner's statement that car was serviced according to manual, and transmission was never opened while she owned it. This is apparently a common problem with transmissions used in the early 1990s. A transmission should not fail this soon, and chrysler should be forced to pay for the consequences of its poor design practices.
While driving transmission shifts into low gear, causing vehicle to almost go out of control. It generally happens when lights are turned on otr tapping the brakes. Dome lights will cause the problem too.
While driving there was a bang. Experienced drivers' seat belt buckle malfunction, when male won't go into female, while driving pops open, or won't unlatch.
There is too much pull or slack in both of the shoulder belts. They will not restrain driverin the event of an accident.

Dealer welded ends of broken torsion bars to trailing arms 9/8/99 the weld broke 8/30/00 chrysler says it is not a manf. Defect.the car was not involved in an accidentso what caused it to break 2 times?it sure seem to me like a manaf. Defect. One of the repair places i had look at it thought the entire rear end needs to be replaced.was told that in present condition when going at 60-70 mph & turn one may lose control.also, the rear end is wobelly.

Rear axle broke causing poor mobility.
The welds on the back wheel failed causing vibration. All the welds did not fail, but enough failed so the suspention could not be repaired. The failure was so bad a complete new read suspention had to be done. A dealer comment that this is a common problem caused me to fill out this report. This has been reported to chrysler ref 630-5949. I have not seen a failure such as this in any vehicle i have owned in the past 40 years. Crysler seemed unconcerned about this issue.
Rear axel broke causing problem with mobility.
Whiledrivingat a speed of 20 mphpassenger's side rear wheel began to wobble, causing the consumer to lose control . The dealer was unable to fix the problem because of too many brokenwelds on rear wheel.
Rear axle: rear cross-member: weld separation;incident #1 7/24/97 mileage 32,640,incident #2 12/13/04 mileage 70,349.
