While driving gauge dropped to zero and vehicle shut off. Smoke begancoming from underneath the hood, then caught on fire, and burned to the ground. As a result vehicle was considered a total loss. Dealer notified.

While driving down a back road towards my home on december 18, 2010, the transmission suddenly slipped into a lower gear, although the shift was still in drive/overdrive.i could hear the engine straining.my car has "autostick," so i tried changing gears with that.when in autostick, 2nd gear was displayed on my dashboard.nothing i did would change the gear. My autostick wouldn't work, so i shifted back into regular drive.i continued to drive in 2nd gear, and eventually i felt the engine ease up, and it seemed fine again.i have not taken the car in to be inspected, as i feel this will be a large job checking the transmission.as noted in a previous complaint filed today, i've already had 2 huge bills to repair 2 front end wheels falling off the car... Something that could have killed my children who were driving at each specific time.all issues mentioned are safety issues that chrysler should address.

On june 28, 2010, the right front ball joint broke, causing control arm, strut damage, etc.wheel was hanging off, and the car could not be move off road.after repair, i asked if it was safe to drive, wondering if other wheel would fall off too. I was assured car was safe.just about 2 months later, same thing happened to front wheel on driver's side.on september 8, 2010, while pulling off an exit ramp, the left front wheel broke off car and was unable to drive.needed to replace front strut and mount, control arm, sway bar links, left outer tie rod end and axle assembly.on each incident, one of my children were driving, and i think how they could have been killed in either or both incidents.despite the seriousness of this problem, it seems as though chrysler could care less.it cost me over $2640 and change (after supposed discounts) for repairs.but what truly bothers me every single day is knowing my 2 children could have died had they been in busier areas at the time the wheels fell off my car.

Set of alloy wheels that came with vehicle, and spokeswithinwheels are cracking on all four wheels. One onefront/driver's side is cracking the worst. Contacted dealer. .the wheels are a steel wheel with a heavy alloy molded to the front to simulate the appearance of a true alloy wheel, if one of the molded spokes was to come off during driving, the result could be disastrous.
