Manufacturer's inspector indicated nothing was wrong with the melted wires.

While driving the consumer's 1995 chrysler cirrus slipped into low gear.then this occurred the engine revved and the rpm's went up.the only way to get the vehicle to go back into gear was to pull off the road and shut the engine off for about 5 min.after the vehicle was restarted sometimes it couldn't be driven over 30 mph or would suddenly drop from 55 mph to 30 mph.the vehicle was taken to a transmission repair facility.the consumer was told that the problem was not transmission related but was electrical.
Our car will shift perfectly one day and don't want to shift the next second for np reason, we have replaced the modulator.. Coolant temp sensor.. We have also even recabliorated the shifting pattern and still have this problem.. Is this going to keep happening or is there something i can do to fix it. We did a diagnostic on it and the transmission was good.. I don't know what else to do.?

I bought a 1995 chrysler cirrus lxi and for the first little while it was great, then all of a sudden i was driving down the road at 62 mph and the car shifted into neutral i slowed down to about 30mph and it dropped into gear but it would not shift from first gear. Now sometimes it will shift fine and other times it will not shift at all.and my a/c quit working and the rpm gauge stopped working at around the same time as the shifting issues started.
I have a 1995 chrysler cirrus, v-6 engine with 82,000 miles.i have had a problem with this car since august 2003 and have not been able to resolve it.anytime i drive the vehicle for periods longer than 20 minutes it will just stall for no reason.when the problem happens it is as if someone has turned off the ignition.the car will restart after several hours but not before and when it does restart it is as if nothing was ever wrong.this can happen at any speed and is a very dangerous situation when it happens on the interstate. I have had the vehicle into the dealer and the response was " our educated guess is that it is the distributor and for $1,000 we will replace the distributor, we are not sure this is the problem but our best guess is it is".anytime i have had the vehicle towed into the dealer or any other repair center by time the car gets there and is evaluated the problem has went away just to arise a day later, a week later, or some period of time later.no other repair center will agree with the dealer that the problem is the distributor, and they admit they just do not know since the problem cannot be replicated while the repair shop has the vehicle.this seems to be a prevalent problem with this type of vehicle and engine from chrysler and its just a matter of time before someone gets killed from a vehicle stalling in heavy traffic in the middle lane on the interstate.
I have a 1995 chrysler cirrus that keeps stalling, even while traveling at speeds of 60 m.p.h.the car just stalls like the ignition was turned off, but it will restart right away.i have had it in to the shop several times and they keep replacing parts but it does not correct the problem.they say that the computer does not show an error code for them to know what the problem is.it is getting expensive replacing parts that they think are the problem and then the problem continues to exist.

Brakes-driving on several occasions brakes will make a grinding sound and go to the floor, and will finally stop. Had brakes replaced often, because they wear down often.battery- had to replace batteryseveral times, because something causes battery to go dead.engine-driving at different speeds or sitting at stop signs and lights car will stall withot warning, took car to the shop, could not find problem, also called manufacture.electrical system-gas gauge shows empty when car is full, checkengine light comes on, radio in car would go off when you hit a bump, finally stop working ,dash lights come on and off.air conditioner-have had several problems with air conditioner, have had different parts replaced,when sitting with air on car tries to go died.transmission- car leaks fluid, can't find spot, while driving up a hill transmission will slip is hard to pull, have had many problems out of carand sent to car repair shop many times.

Vehicle was always being towed due to not being able to shift into gear to move it.at dealership was informed that front tie rods needed to be replaced due to coming loose. Also,transmission needed to be replaced/ distributor had failed to function properly.
The vehicle simply stalled and would not start again.the distributor and distributor rotor have been replaced.the car ran for one day then stalled again and won't start.we are taking it back now for more work and it only has 51,000 miles on it!

On several occasions, vehicle intermittently loss all power, caused by a blown fuse in the ignition system.
During vehicle operation, the vehicle stalls. Dealer has replaced throttle body plenum, some wire ends, and the idle speed control motor, consumer states currently is waiting on a distributor.
Distributor failed, causing engine to sag/hesitate. Emissions control malfunctioned.

While driving under 20 mph everything shuts down.whencruise control is on at high speed engine will shut off, and this causescruise control to cut off.when going aroundcorner car will die. Took to dealer, and they couldn't find cause since aug of 2000. The vehicle stall several times.all possible causes that the dealer pointed out each time the vehcile stall (dirty egr valve, defective computer module and wiring harness failures) were corrected but the problem still exists.
Vehicle keeps cutting off. Had crank sensor & h20 sensor replaced. Air conditioner fails to work. Took to dealer & was informed vehicle needed spark plugs & problem not with transmission.
These incidents seemed to go all about the same time. The abs light still will not reset. The brake light on the dash comes on intermittently. Dt: while driving on freeway placed car into cruise at about 77 or 78 mph.when looked at speedometer it was at about 60. Mph. Engine was running but not in gear.moved shift, but found it was still in neutral.vehicle was coasting, when slowing to about 30 mph it went in low gear.have to pull over in emergency lane and shut off engine and restart to get vehicle to drive.sometimes this may be have to be performed as much as 25 times.when it does go into drive at highway speed and may go as little as 20-25 miles before it goes into neutral and will have to repeat this ritual.took to dealer5 times for about 5-6 weeks.dealer replaced ignition switch and lock. This did not help either.last time changed sop shift solenoid.vehicle is now worse than before andconsumer spent$1,000 for repairs that did not help.
Abs brakes lock up and occasionally grind when stopping; also, premature wear of front brake pads.in addition,vehicle experienced power steering fluid leakage;insufficient lighting from heaflights and check engine light constantlycomes on due to wiring problems.

The vehicle's radio, power locks, power mirrors, dome light, brake lights and windshield wipers not functional due to a electrical wiring problem.mechanic also stated circuit board burnt out.when all these problems occur, the vehicle will not up shift out of first gear and speedometer instrument panel not working (speedometer, odometer and gear lights). The contact owns a 1995 chrysler cirrus.the contact attempted to start her vehicle, but was unsuccessful.the entire instrument panel illuminated.the vehicle was taken to a mechanic and he stated that the modulator needed to be replaced.the work was performed, but the failure recurred a month later.there is a rod on the rear driver side that is supposed to hold the wheel in place, but it has rusted.the rod fell apart and the contact had it replaced.while the vehicle was parked, she noticed that the brakeline was leaking brake fluid onto the ground.the contact took the vehicle to a mechanic and had it repaired.the vin, engine size, number of cylinders, powertrain, and failure mileage were unknown.the current mileage was 63,742.
I've had my engine checked back in may of 05 by the dealer they said it was engine misfire,the distributor ignition was bad.they charged me $321 just to check it,then i paid $276 to get it fixed.the car has had a drip ever since.in the past 6 to 8 months or longer i've had a drip from the engine that can't be fixed , i recently had my car worked on it was in the shop for a month it cost me $2500 to repair and it still has a leak.it's back there again because it needs that expansion plug and retaining bracket that only the dealer can provide according to every site but the place the car comes from. I'm also having transmission problems which i've had since i brought the vehicle.because i need a shift mechanism and cable from the dealer according to every site but where the car comes from.a few of the problems that are on the list i've either got fixed or got an estimate for.(one ) of the problems on the list ,the dealer sent something in the mail and i got it taken care of by the dealer,it was the( trans. Floor shifter).also on your list!i've spent a lot of money to repair this vehicle for mistakes made by the dealer and it's not fair . I would like to be reimbursed and the recall problem fixed.

1995 chrysler cirrus, 2.5l 6cyln engine, bought for our twin daughters 16th birthday and within 2 days of getting the car, they were driving on the expressway and the engine stalled resulting in them losing ps/pb control., the car has repeatedly stalled while they have been driving and they came very close to hitting a man as he was walking along the side of the road because of this engine failure and loss of power steering and power brakes. This car also has a problem starting,my husband is a senior automotive techinician and he found that when trying to start the car there is no spark, have we solved the problem as to what to replace? no, it could be a number of possibilities from the coil to the computer chip.our daughters drove the car for 9 days and now it sits waiting to get fixed, do we want to go through the expense of guessing what part it needs to run again? no!!when reviewingthe complaints about this car in general, i have no idea why this car has never been recalled for this problem, it is a disaster waiting to happen, maybe your waiting for someone to get killed or seriously injured before you will take any action on this, i think it is very bad business to not even know why this problem is happening.i hope for other peoples sake that no one gets hurt over this, unlike your company that only cares about the big bucks involved.do a job right or don't do it at all.i will never again buy a chrysler product and will let anyone know who is in the marketplace for a car.
I bought this car 08/12/03. I paid 8800.00 for the car. I bought an extended warranty plan for 1 year. Due to all the problems i was having i ran a carfax report and found out this was a rental vehicle when pro car bought it at the auction. The manager denied knowing this.i took the car in on 8/15/03 because the steering was tightening up and power steering was nonexistent when going under 10mph. Service man told me steering rack but then they took that back.car was overheating, and something wrong with idle.the dealer could not replicate the problem and said that overheating was normal unless it was going in the red.took in 08/21..same problems as before but now transmission problem.car would not down shift and would pop out of gear traveling down the hwy doing 65mph..car would instantly slow down and had to immediately pull over almost getting in an accident twice. Now was overheating into the red. Called 08/25 once again they said they could not replicate problems. Went in 08/26 drove the car with service manager.overheating occurred again.they said a fan was unplugged...showed them idle they sprayed wires down with water.showed steering problem, they replaced power steering rack.transmission did not act up at times butnothing was done with that.09/18/03 took care in while transmission was out of gear. They fixed a solenoid pack. Picked up on the 19th on the way home car slipped out of gear again. Called them and they said they would send to transmission shop.10/14/03 took to ricks transmission shop. Repairs done on transmission. Picked up car on 10/15.10/17/03 car broke down in parking lot. Turned key nothing happened at all. Passerby said due to work on transmission this was most likely a neutral switch that they should have replaced.10/20 took car into pro car again. Explained transmission problem and lemon law and that i was tired of the car and did not want it. Manager not willing to do anything.

Dt:the vehicle is a 1995 chrysler cirrus, when the consumer purchased the vehicle it did not have a thermostat.the first time the vehicle ran hot she took it to a mechanic who told her there was no thermostat. Every time she moved the vehicle she would have to add water and antifreeze. Because there was a leak in the hose.on 7-16-05, the vehicle would not go over 50 mph then the speed started dropping. Consumer pulled to the side of the road .she put it in park and shut the ignition off.she tried to start the car again then it made a winding noise, the lights onthe dashboard came on,but it would not start.afterwards there was steam coming from under the hood of the vehicle.she contacted the tow service, which took the vehicle to the dealership.they refused to fix vehicle.the vehicle is currently parked atconsumer's home because she could not get any of the mechanics to repair it.

I have had numerous problems with this new vehicle.the most serious of which happened this week.i had problems with the ball joints.after several trips, i finally got the dealership to replace the right one.they said the left one was find, although that was where the noise was from.they told me it was my power steering rack.five days after the right ball joint was replaced, the left ball joint broke as my 17 year old daughter was driving the car and the tire fell off.luckily she had gotten off the 4-lane highway she had been traveling on that night.
Distributor failed, causing engine to sag/hesitate. Emissions control malfunctioned.

I bought this car 08/12/03. I paid 8800.00 for the car. I bought an extended warranty plan for 1 year. Due to all the problems i was having i ran a carfax report and found out this was a rental vehicle when pro car bought it at the auction. The manager denied knowing this.i took the car in on 8/15/03 because the steering was tightening up and power steering was nonexistent when going under 10mph. Service man told me steering rack but then they took that back.car was overheating, and something wrong with idle.the dealer could not replicate the problem and said that overheating was normal unless it was going in the red.took in 08/21..same problems as before but now transmission problem.car would not down shift and would pop out of gear traveling down the hwy doing 65mph..car would instantly slow down and had to immediately pull over almost getting in an accident twice. Now was overheating into the red. Called 08/25 once again they said they could not replicate problems. Went in 08/26 drove the car with service manager.overheating occurred again.they said a fan was unplugged...showed them idle they sprayed wires down with water.showed steering problem, they replaced power steering rack.transmission did not act up at times butnothing was done with that.09/18/03 took care in while transmission was out of gear. They fixed a solenoid pack. Picked up on the 19th on the way home car slipped out of gear again. Called them and they said they would send to transmission shop.10/14/03 took to ricks transmission shop. Repairs done on transmission. Picked up car on 10/15.10/17/03 car broke down in parking lot. Turned key nothing happened at all. Passerby said due to work on transmission this was most likely a neutral switch that they should have replaced.10/20 took car into pro car again. Explained transmission problem and lemon law and that i was tired of the car and did not want it. Manager not willing to do anything.

My additonal comment is that given that my car is less than 4 years old, i feel that i have had major repair items, such asa/c compressor/ brake rotors/tie rods). If a car is made to last, these problems should not arise. The dealerships view is that a 4 year car with 27,000 miles is worn out and that's just the way it is. My other car is a saturn and after 6 years i have had zero repairs aside from normal maintenance. Chrysler makes bad products, and doesn't stand behind their cars. Please be on alert that there are way too many problems arising with cirrus models. I have dealt with tamiami chrysler in miami 305 266-5500 who are incompetent, liars and crooks. Come down hard on chrysler.

I have had 2 failuers of the ac compressor on this vehicle.both times the compressor overheated during normal operation of the air conditioner on the vehicle. The first time it failed the compressor locked up, causing the serpentine belt to jam, causing loss of power steering and operation of the alternator.the second compressor failed after only 7,000 miles of operation and hs yet to be repaired.

Transnmission fort end pump seal leaking. This problem my mechnic report to me when i have my engine oil change. He said front pump seal is leaking on transmisson. He said he see lotoff car has this failure and to me chrysler has to do something about this. Fuel gauge needle problem is also a wellknown problem. I did not know about this web site untill my friend told me about, please help me on this problems. I will check other recall that this model has and make sure i have proper repair for this. I have about three recall notice from chrysler for this car. I see more recall for this car than i recived from chrysler. Please advise me for other recall that they have not done on my car. These incidents seemed to go all about the same time. The abs light still will not reset. The brake light on the dash comes on intermittently. The electronic control module on the hydraudlic secquencing valve wasfound to be inoperative. The ecm module was defective. Consumer stated that the fuel filler neck came apart in two piece. Contacted that dealer and the manufacturer and both informed that part was no longer in stock.nlm

The first failure was on dec 19 2005, i was driving on the freeway at approx. 65 mph and the engine quit running resulting in loss of power steering and power brakes also the transmission would not shift into a lower gear it just free wheeled. After bring the car to a stop on the side of the freeway and putting the transmission in park it restarted. This failure has occurred three more times this week.
Our car will shift perfectly one day and don't want to shift the next second for np reason, we have replaced the modulator.. Coolant temp sensor.. We have also even recabliorated the shifting pattern and still have this problem.. Is this going to keep happening or is there something i can do to fix it. We did a diagnostic on it and the transmission was good.. I don't know what else to do.?
The contact owns a 1995 chrysler cirrus. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle suddenly shifted into neutral. When driving my vehicle at the speed of 45 to 60 mph my vehicle will down shift itself, or even at times throws itself into neutral .you can turn the car off and turn it back on to reset the computer but it may do it again.it gives no warning as to when its going to do it.that's why driving in this car is very dangerous and like playing russian roulette. *la
1995 chrysler cirrus is continually downshifting into 2nd gear and stays there.i have tried to have it fixed and to no avail.the solenoid pack was replaced twice and this did not solve the problem. Vehicle runs wellat night. But,duringdaytime without prior warning itshuts off. Transmission gear runs roughly when shiftinggears .first gear shift goes tosecondgear and third gearwith a hard knock. Dealership is aware of problem.
Took car to dealer and he said that the differential sheared in half,causing the transmission to blow .
Transmission without warning either shifts down into second gear and will not shift up or worse the transmission goes limp when driving at any speed in other words you end up coasting and could possibly cause a serious accident,the first time this happened to mei was going 65 mph on the freeway. Fortunately, i was on the right hand side of the road so i could coast off and come to a stop. If i had been in heavy traffic in either the center or left hand lane there would be no way for me to avoid other cars and this would have resulted in a serious accident. I took the car to the chrysler dealer and they said it was a faulty solenoid pack and they replaced it for $900+ dollars. The car ran for a couple of weeks and the shifting down and limp episodes began again. I now have a car with 45000 miles parked in my garage and am afraid to drive it. There are dozens of blogs on the internet describing the same problem and i do not see any recalls but this is certainly a life threatening hazard. Unfortunately this is an intermittent problem that happens with no warning.

I bought a 1995 chrysler cirrus lxi and for the first little while it was great, then all of a sudden i was driving down the road at 62 mph and the car shifted into neutral i slowed down to about 30mph and it dropped into gear but it would not shift from first gear. Now sometimes it will shift fine and other times it will not shift at all.and my a/c quit working and the rpm gauge stopped working at around the same time as the shifting issues started.
When driving the car will automatically fall into neutral. When this happens if i put the car into neutral manually and turn the car off it will allow me to put the car back into drive, while still moving down the road. I have had it looked at by our local shop that services the car, and they are not haviing any fault come up on the computer.

When driving 30-60 mph transmission down shifts sending rpms through the roof.sometimes i can pull over and turn off the car to reset the computer and sometimes not.this happened for the first time 1 month after purchasing car used.we took it to the dealership who did an overhaul on the transmission, gave it back to us, and problem recurred 5 days later.turned out to be the transmission control module shorted.now three years later this is happening again.it's not very safe to be traveling at 60 mph on a freeway and all of a sudden only be able to go 30 mph.

Mechanic informed us the transmission we had to have put it was the third tranny this car has had. The second one was also a remanufactured tranny from the factory. Is now july 2001 and tranny (3rd one) has quit and is in shop. Won't come out of second gear.

I've had my engine checked back in may of 05 by the dealer they said it was engine misfire,the distributor ignition was bad.they charged me $321 just to check it,then i paid $276 to get it fixed.the car has had a drip ever since.in the past 6 to 8 months or longer i've had a drip from the engine that can't be fixed , i recently had my car worked on it was in the shop for a month it cost me $2500 to repair and it still has a leak.it's back there again because it needs that expansion plug and retaining bracket that only the dealer can provide according to every site but the place the car comes from. I'm also having transmission problems which i've had since i brought the vehicle.because i need a shift mechanism and cable from the dealer according to every site but where the car comes from.a few of the problems that are on the list i've either got fixed or got an estimate for.(one ) of the problems on the list ,the dealer sent something in the mail and i got it taken care of by the dealer,it was the( trans. Floor shifter).also on your list!i've spent a lot of money to repair this vehicle for mistakes made by the dealer and it's not fair . I would like to be reimbursed and the recall problem fixed.
While driving at any speed the car will just lose power, start slowing down, the rpm will rise to over 5000 rpms. Have to drive at under 40 miles/hr just to try and keep the rpm under 4500. This is scarly when you got kids in the car and on a highway. This has become an everyday problem i could just start the car and the rpm will rise faster than the speedometer and wont go down, or i could just be driving and it will happen for no reason and you never know when it will happen. Just to mention one and in all of them several people are complaining about this problem, i also took time to read some of the complaints you have received over the years and found the same thing. Car returned to ryan chrysler and supposedly checked for three days. Could not find any problem. Car returned to owner with no explation and no mention of first repair ($600.00) which did not solve problem. Car is not safe to operate. Dealer response very poor due to severtity ofproblem.old parts were requested to be returned as per ny state law. Service report was also checked to return parts. No parts were returned. Service manager stated that" mechanics never look at that portion of repair request.

The gas mileage was inconsistant due to loose spark plug wires, consumer stated vehicle had consistent electrical problems prior to the end of the warranty. Consumer also has had throttle body cleaning, injector cleaner performed, consumer states after performing tunp-up he noticed a small quiver in the vehicle, consumer states that gas mileage was inconsistent, consumer states the air bag light came on, which caused the radio ,wipers, air condition, power locks to be inoperative and the transmission was not shifting, consumer also had timing belt replaced.
In warm climates traveling fast, the vehicle would suddenly and violently downshift and place the vehicle into limp mode. The consumer stated that once in limp mode, the engine produces a huge amount of heat which vents though the vents and screws up the necessary a/c.

While driving down the interstate, it suddenly sounded like there was an increase in road noise, then suddenly there was a puff of smoke from the back and the noise disappeared.stopping to check, my master cylinder was half-empty.per chrysler dealer who repaired it, ""right rear brake came apart (cylinder blown and springs broken)."when it failed, it also damaged right rear tone wheel and sensor, making the anti-lock brakes inoperative.there was no warning before this catastrophic brake failure.

If a car is made to last, these problems should not arise. The dealerships view is that a 4 year car with 27,000 miles is worn out and that's just the way it is. My other car is a saturn and after 6 years i have had zero repairs aside from normal maintenance. Chrysler makes bad products, and doesn't stand behind their cars. Please be on alert that there are way too many problems arising with cirrus models. I have dealt with tamiami chrysler in miami 305 266-5500 who are incompetent, liars and crooks. The contact owns a 1995 chrysler cirrus.the contact attempted to start her vehicle, but was unsuccessful.the entire instrument panel illuminated.the vehicle was taken to a mechanic and he stated that the modulator needed to be replaced.the work was performed, but the failure recurred a month later.there is a rod on the rear driver side that is supposed to hold the wheel in place, but it has rusted.the rod fell apart and the contact had it replaced.while the vehicle was parked, she noticed that the brakeline was leaking brake fluid onto the ground.the contact took the vehicle to a mechanic and had it repaired.the vin, engine size, number of cylinders, powertrain, and failure mileage were unknown.the current mileage was 63,742.

I bought this car 08/12/03. I paid 8800.00 for the car. I bought an extended warranty plan for 1 year. Due to all the problems i was having i ran a carfax report and found out this was a rental vehicle when pro car bought it at the auction. The manager denied knowing this.i took the car in on 8/15/03 because the steering was tightening up and power steering was nonexistent when going under 10mph. Service man told me steering rack but then they took that back.car was overheating, and something wrong with idle.the dealer could not replicate the problem and said that overheating was normal unless it was going in the red.took in 08/21..same problems as before but now transmission problem.car would not down shift and would pop out of gear traveling down the hwy doing 65mph..car would instantly slow down and had to immediately pull over almost getting in an accident twice. Now was overheating into the red. Called 08/25 once again they said they could not replicate problems. Went in 08/26 drove the car with service manager.overheating occurred again.they said a fan was unplugged...showed them idle they sprayed wires down with water.showed steering problem, they replaced power steering rack.transmission did not act up at times butnothing was done with that.09/18/03 took care in while transmission was out of gear. They fixed a solenoid pack. Picked up on the 19th on the way home car slipped out of gear again. Called them and they said they would send to transmission shop.10/14/03 took to ricks transmission shop. Repairs done on transmission. Picked up car on 10/15.10/17/03 car broke down in parking lot. Turned key nothing happened at all. Passerby said due to work on transmission this was most likely a neutral switch that they should have replaced.10/20 took car into pro car again. Explained transmission problem and lemon law and that i was tired of the car and did not want it. Manager not willing to do anything.

I purchased my car at chrysler chase in stockton ca.the first day i noticed a noise comming fron the steering wheel when i braked so i asked the dealer to hear the noise. The sales person directed me to the service department where they heard the noise and assured me that it was normal for that car. I kept hearing the noise but i believed it was normal.the noise presisted so i contacted the dealer i took the car back in i was told that the steering colum needed replacing because they had a recall well this has been going on for the past 5 years i have been taking it back for the same problem over and over again and i have always been told that the noise was normal.i have taken my car for major repairs according to the dealer they repair it but when i take it back for the same thing it is only convenient for them to say that they can't hear the noise, and when they have heard the noise it is normal to them yet i still have the same breaking and steering problems.the dealer let my warranty run out by telling me that the noise was normal, and when my warranty was over they just said well we don't know if is the same thing even though they end up replacing the same things.the last time i had the parts replaced was at about 89,000 miles i again told the dealer that the problem was still there but they said it was normal.i had my brakes worked on on feb, 2001 at the dealer but the brakes were making alot of noise squeeling and a grinding noise my wife took the car back and the told her that the had put lock fast and that was the reason the metal was grinding they worked on my brakes again for this reason, but the noise was even louder and the grinding noise got worse. I took the car in to try to get them to check it but chad the person who i spoke to told me that he already had told my wife that the noise was normal because they were using new materials that were always going to make noise, and that the grinding noise was just the parts settling in.

I have had numerous problems with this new vehicle.the most serious of which happened this week.i had problems with the ball joints.after several trips, i finally got the dealership to replace the right one.they said the left one was find, although that was where the noise was from.they told me it was my power steering rack.five days after the right ball joint was replaced, the left ball joint broke as my 17 year old daughter was driving the car and the tire fell off.luckily she had gotten off the 4-lane highway she had been traveling on that night.
Warranty recall out, but we were not notified of a problem, and we feel that this is a safety issue, and if chrysler is aware of the problem, they have a responsibility to their customers to notify and fix the problem.also, chrysler is not willing to replace thearm on the other side until it fails.what if it fails while we are driving at 60 mph with our baby in the back of our car?i would like to think that i can trust chrysler with my family's safety.

The mechanic replaced the ball joints because they had broken apart.also serviced the driver's side rear wheel and tire.

I've had my engine checked back in may of 05 by the dealer they said it was engine misfire,the distributor ignition was bad.they charged me $321 just to check it,then i paid $276 to get it fixed.the car has had a drip ever since.in the past 6 to 8 months or longer i've had a drip from the engine that can't be fixed , i recently had my car worked on it was in the shop for a month it cost me $2500 to repair and it still has a leak.it's back there again because it needs that expansion plug and retaining bracket that only the dealer can provide according to every site but the place the car comes from. I'm also having transmission problems which i've had since i brought the vehicle.because i need a shift mechanism and cable from the dealer according to every site but where the car comes from.a few of the problems that are on the list i've either got fixed or got an estimate for.(one ) of the problems on the list ,the dealer sent something in the mail and i got it taken care of by the dealer,it was the( trans. Floor shifter).also on your list!i've spent a lot of money to repair this vehicle for mistakes made by the dealer and it's not fair . I would like to be reimbursed and the recall problem fixed.

While driving, the consumer heard a grinding noise in the steering wheel and it felt loose.the vehicle was taken to a body shop for inspection.the mechanic informed the consumer that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced which had already been replaced twice. It twice.revised:the original rack and pinion had worn out.the steering was loose at 90k miles and the rack and pinion at 23k miles.both of the stabilizers had frozen in the lower control arms. *sc

While driving at 60/70 mph, there was a loud noise from the rear of vehicle. Consumer pulled vehicle over.upon inspection of the vehicle, consumer noticed rear driver's side wheel was out of line, andalmost came completely off. Had vehicle towed to dealership. The mechanic replaced the ball joints because they had broken apart.also serviced the driver's side rear wheel and tire.

The condition i will describe has existed with this vehicle since we bought it. I have the work orders from the two dealers i have worked with to resolve the probem. Each time it has cost about $250.00 to solve the problem and i don't want to spend these $$$ again.what happens is that when i press the accelerator the car does not respond. It coughs, hesitates and very slowly accelerates. In traffic, this has almost caused several accidents. It takes about seven to ten seconds to finally reach traffic speed. Fortunately, we have escaped any collision-- so far, but we have come very close several times. The car was good for the last few months and suddenly, this past week it started hesitaing again. The car has about 55,000 miles, but, as i said, this condition has been with the car since it was new. I know what the dealers will say-"we'll take a look at it", which will cost a minimum of $100.00. They will keep the car a few days saying they can't duplicate the problem. Well, the problem is there, whether they find it or not. This is very frustrating and very unsafe. I can't believe there hasn't been a recall or problem called to your attention about this problem. Contact chrysler, please, and see what they say. I refuse to go to a dealer-- this time--without some direction from you.

We have also even recabliorated the shifting pattern and still have this problem.. Is this going to keep happening or is there something i can do to fix it. Defective front end suspension due to a design defect, causing right front wheel to come off; also replaced cv joint axle.
