When it failed, he was unable to pull the seat belt, out of its position, to use it. The seat was a 40/20/40 seat configuration, meaning the seat was in 3 parts. The control module was mounted beneath the middle 20 portion of the seat. When the ignition was moved from the off to acc or run position it sent power to the solenoids in the seat that controlled the seat belt, rendering the seat belts and air bag inoperative.

Consumer believes there is a manufacturers defect in 1991 and other model vehicles of the engine valves which causes the engine to burn excess oil.

Prior to purchasing vehicle there was an oil leak, the salesperson promised consumer that it would be taken care of, the oil leak was never fixed and the salesperson informed consumer that they would not fix the oil leak, consumer went back to the dealership the following week and demanded that the oil leak be fixed, consumer was told that the problem was fixed and soon after, the leak became worse and when consumer went back to dealership she was told that the oil leak was caused by a leaky head gasket and dealership refused to pay for the repairs.

Chrysler pacifica.consumer writes in regards to premature failure of vehicle transfer case and transmission.the consumer stated a loud noise occurred under the hood of his vehicle, with a puff of smoke coming out from underneath the hood. The vehicle was towed to an auto repair shop, where a diagnosis revealed a cracked transfer case. The consumer was informed the part was on back order. The consumer then had the vehicle towed to a dealer, where they informed him, the reason for the premature failure, was because he had different sized tires on the vehicle. The consumer informed the dealer, the two front tires had worn out prematurely, even though he had them rotated and balanced every 10,000 miles. He replaced the tires with identical sized michelin's, matching the sizes that were on the vehicle at the time of purchase. The dealer informed the consumer nothing could be done, and chrsyler would not help financially. The consumer paid for the repairs at a cost of $ 2,584.04. However, on his way home, the vehicle didn't seem to drive right. It squealed around turns and pulled to one side. The steering was off center and it didn't down shift correctly. When he arrived home, he detected the smell of burning oil. He returned the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the transfer case checked out ok. Several weeks later, the consumer noticed a very large oil spill underneath the engine. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, where they discovered a seal had come out of the new transfer case. The part was ordered, but they had no idea when the part would be available. Upon picking up the vehicle, the service advisor, informed the consumer the transmission was bad and was in need of repair. The consumer allowed them to keep the vehicle. Further testing was performed on the vehicle, and the consumer was told, the transmission needed to be replaced due to a bad planetary gear , which would cost $ 4,300.

Transmission bad, resulting in abruptly stalling on the interstate, could not take the key out of the ignition, shortly afterward car restarted.

I want my chrysler gen 3 seat belts replaced with gen 4 belts asap.last month i purchased a 2003 town and country minivan and now my wife and i are loosing sleep because the front seat has gen 4 belts but the middle and rear seats still have gen 3 belts.this is where our 3 children sit!how can your motto be "people saving people" when you know this information but don't force a change or inform the public!why would chrysler change the front seats but not all seats?that's were the most violent rebound occurs during government crash tests occur and they thought they could get by without any seat belt anomalies if they only modified the front seats and saved a few bucks.you are not saving people if you don't force a recall.one life lost is one too many.we have convinced our children the importance of seat belts.now that they understand the importance of seat belts, this information scares the hell out of them too!the incident was the last month when i purchased the vehicle because you failed to inform the public.now i must upside down finance to get rid of the vehicle! *nlm

Consumer states when he opened one of the rear windows, the vehicle went into a serious tremble and roar mode while driving *tgwthe consumer stated the problem with the vehicle was noticed while driving 55-60 mph.when he closed the window, the problem disappeared. The consumer stated there was a mention of wind buffering in the owners manual, which also stated to adjust the front and rear windows.

The part for the ignition switch was not available.

Consumer received two plastic mini storage bins with instructions for mounting them on the tops of the center roof support trim panels between the front and rear doors that will enhance head impact protection while providing a convenient storage location to store personal items.consumer feels these mini bins will detract from interior appearance and since they are rigid injection molded plastic they will shatter upon impact and create jagged edges inflicting serious injuries to the head.consumer does not intend to install the mini storage bins.*jg

Smoke came from vents when heater was turned on.the driver was forced to pull over due to poor visibilty from smoke.

Consumer states heater is not working properly.

After turning the heater blower on, smoke poured out of the vents, blocking views, causing driver to pull off the road.
